    Sonoran Dog and Posole $10

We've enjoyed the Calle Tepa cuisine on multiple occasions...consistently tasty, good vibe, nice menu (not overwhelming with too many options!) I recently stopped in for a quick lunch and decided to try the Sonoran Hotdog. It came with a side (lots of choices for the side) and I chose the posole. It was all so yummy! That hotdog bread so soft and tasty! I am still thinking about the posole and craving it already!

This chicken taco salad is the bomb. Very tasty seasoned chicken.

Delicious taco salad and salsa. Ingredients were fresh. Also ordered elote corn and it was good.

Food was excellent, service was nice and ambiance nice and clean. They don't skimp on the alcohol either! 3.9 stars.

Tucker in a strip center this place will wow you with their scrumptious food and delicious drinks. Service was great and the place was very busy on a Saturday afternoon even the patio was packed. Salsa is great with plenty of flavor and nice hot chips. Tacos were loaded with tender meat and tamales were fantastic. Definitely a place to try.

Have been here before but it had been awhile. We opted for the order at the counter service instead of being waited on. Staff were very friendly and answered any questions we had about the menu. We love the variety of salsas and topping they have at their salsa bar. The tacos were delicious. We really need to eat here more frequently. Only complaint is the bowl size for chips is a bit small for 3 people.

It had been a while since I came here but still delicious like I remembered. Lots of food options and they have a nice salsa bar. They have both in door and outdoor seating as well as a bar in the back. I got the birria tacos which were delish. Hubby got a burrito.

Food portions are half the size for extremely high costs and just don't taste good anymore.

The interior is visually congested, not in a bad way but with lots of decor, seating, movement areas and etc. It makes a feeling of the space being busy and distracting. I prefer calmer spaces but it's not terrible. Service was prompt, frequent and wonderful. An older woman came by and asked how we wanted salsa and made us a bowl which was INCREDIBLE! So savory, spicy, fresh and left me wanting more. (You get a certain amount salsa and chips per person than you gotta pay). It was literally perfect. We weren't super hungry and wanted to share, to us the serving was more than enough for two. We enjoyed a house rocks margarita, grilled steak fajitas with rice and beans, sides of sour cream and guacamole and also some chips and salsa. It was all very well made, came out steaming and was very satisfying. The space felt cold to me, but seemed fine to all else. So just a note there if you run on the warmer side. I don't know if they do reservations, but I would imagine on some nights it would be a good idea seeing as they seem very busy.

Which, you know, is kind of the whole point of a restaurant. The atmosphere was great, a little on the nose, but great none the less. It feels like a Mexican dinner or at least what I imagined a dinner in Mexico would look like. The staff where beyond amazing, especially the woman who made our complementary salsa right at the table. And the salsa was yummy but sadly that's the only part of the meal that I can say that about. The thing is, nothing was truly bad, but just about everything was incredibly bland. You'd have expected someone who puts raisins in potato salad to have served it, not an authentic Mexican restaurant. Though the positive is the lack of seasoning is really the only major problem. The food did not have any weird taste, it wasn't dry, the presentation was fine. It simply needs to be seasoned and this place goes to a solid 4/5 rather than a three.

From the moment we sat down, he was attentive, friendly, and incredibly efficient, checking in so often (perhaps too often) to make sure we were taken care of. He made us feel welcomed right away and kept everything running smoothly throughout our meal. As for the food, the birria tacos were amazing, packed with rich, flavorful meat and served with a delicious consommé dip for dunking. Every bite was better than the last. With Rodrigo's outstanding service, combined with the great food, this was easily a five-star visit. If you go, do yourself a favor and ask for Rodrigo, he'll take great care of you!!

The meat was not tender or chewy, and it didn't really taste like anything. The rice and refried beans were in surprisingly small portions, and the jalapeno wasn't very spicy either. I would say that the portions are ok for the price. Service: (4/5) Our server was mostly attentive and gave us a few recommendations from the menu. Water refills were sparse and far between. Ambiance: (5/5) There were a lot of decorations on the wall, and the bathroom was kept clean and maintained well.
