For food we ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with steak, cajun seafood pasta, Santa fe chicken, classic burger and haddock sandwich. They were all cooked well and tasted great. So I would come back for the food but wouldn't recommend...

Everyone was very sweet to me. I came alone and ordered take out. The food looks outstanding. Tons of locals asking about the special. Place is very clean and smells like yummy food. Bar is fully stocked with local beers on draft only one domestic, Miller Light. I got two burgers and cheese burger soup! Oh and some pepperoni rolls- total price was 41.16 pretty cheap. Burgers were really good.

Pepperoni rolls were OK other than that I would go back.

Their food was incredible, from the pepperoni rolls and the mozzarella sticks, the pizza, & the wings which I got the 2nd alarm sauce which was kind of spicy/hot, all so tasty. I got their firehouse margarita and was beyond impressed,...

it was amazing and better then other margaritas I've had! We went on 2/13 and had Rachel has our server, she was so nice and sweet and was absolutely incredible, we went back on 2/15 and had Linda who was also super nice and incredible. They even had a live singer on 2/15 (Wednesdays they do it) and his name was John Kelly and he did an incredible job, he sang different songs from different genres and never once thought he did a poor job. Love love love this place & will for sure be back!

Second time there the crab cake was not good and the wing were just okay, but the beer was cold, so they got a star for that will not be back.

Went here while on vacation for the first time and the place was amazing. The staff were great, Thomas our waiter was amazing! The kid hustled the whole time we were there, drinks were always full, always made sure we had what we needed. The food was amazing, one of the best burgers ive had in along time, cooked perfectly the way I wanted it. My daughter's chicken tenders were amazing! Made me wish I had ordered them. The weight wasn't long. The waitress was nice and accommodating. Our party of six was seated. I had a cheese pizza with mushroom and tomatoes and peppers. The pizza could have used seasoning. The sauce and the veggies could have used any seasoning. I ordered squash and zucchini. It needed seasoning. It was watery mushy veggies. My friend ordered the firecracker burger and he loved it. He said he was thrilled to have burger with 3 different meats on it. My nieces and nephews had hot dogs and fries. It came with a bun and frank. They were able to add any topping they liked. I have a coconut lime margarita, that's was pretty good. Gave off an island vibe. Based on my experience, I don't think it's the best place for me but others may enjoy it. I need seasoning on my food.

I was not impressed. We were not helped when we arrived and chose to sit at the bar where the bartender waited a while before asking what we wanted. The spring rolls were piping hot when they came out and had decent flavor that wasnt too fishy. However, for $11.50, we thought they were overpriced. The nachos had a mound of iceberg lettuce which was not easy to eat with the chips. I don't think adding the chicken for $6 was worth it so maybe just stick with the basic nachos which themselves are $6.50. There weren't many people there so the overall ambiance was kind of dead. It potentially could be a good place to get a beer and watch a game but a sunday afternoon/evening was definitely a letdown.

I was hesitant after reading some of the reviews about trying this place. However, I prefer local establishments while traveling instead of chains so I had to give it a try. The inside of the restaurant looks like a small, modern firehouse (if a firehouse had a bar in the middle of the bays instead of trucks). They also have what appears to be a nice outside area with grass, games, a stage, and seating. The hostess was quick to greet us and must have read my mind about seating because she picked the perfect spot. Our server was super nice and took excellent care of us during our visit. The food came in large portions and tasted good. The only complaint was it could have been seasoned a little more. The "BBQ Platter" comes with two boneless chicken breasts, pulled pork, and two sides for just under $20.00; the Philly comes with one side for $14.75 and an additional $0.75 to add mushrooms. If you're staying in the area, looking for a quaint place to eat, or just have a thing for firehouses then check this place out.

We did takeout and were impressed by the ambiance so next time will be dine in. Of course by the time we got it home the fries n onion rings were not the best but the burgers were still warm. They had a great char to them and you could discern between medium well and medium rare. The kid menu options were great. Thank YELP for having a check in offer which I called back to mention, the lady taking orders was very amiable.

Had been in food industry for 20+ years just moved and started this job only her second day! Very friendly, smiling, polite, honest and on top of getting drink refills. Food was DELICIOUS, the southwest chicken and veggies flavorful and tender! I can't say enough good things about the zucchini and yellow squash! Cooked perfectly not mushy, not too hard and just the right amount of seasoning! Mahi Mahi amazing again cooked to perfection and so flavorful! Taco salad delicious, waitress again amazing at honoring requests! Taco shell not greasy or flimsy cooked to perfection! GREAT JOB CALLI BAKERS, keep cooking with passion! Can't wait to return for more delicious food!

We were seated right away on a Thursday afternoon around 1230. It was crowded and seemed to be understaffed, the waitresses were running around like crazy we noticed right away. They were all friendly though and acknowledged us and said they would be with us momentarily. The food is why only the 3 stars. The pepperoni pizza was awful, we have had better chef boyardee boxed pizza you can make at home. My mom had the chef salad which was awful. The lunch meat that was used looked and tasted odd. The lettuce was definitely old and wilted and brown throughout. The chicken tender basket was pretty good, ranch very good. The friendly staff and cool atmosphere is the only reason though for the 3 stars rounded up or it would've been lower for the food, for the prices the food needs a lot of work. read more

What a wonderful experience! My daughter and I ate breakfast there this morning and loved everything about it. The food was delicious and the server was personable and informative. Stopped in for early beers and a bite. Off season (late Dec) and was pleasantly surprised. I like a quiet joint, and although it appears as if this place can get busy, it was just what I was looking for. Rebecca was tending bar and was perfect- attentive and pleasant. This place is outstanding!! I wish we had found it earlier in the trip. First of all, the space itself is ideal for covid safety because ceilings are high and they can open garage doors etc. we were traveling with my elderly parents who are a little extra cautious. This was definitely a restaurant that fit the bill. We had pepperoni rolls for an appetizer. They were tasty! The French dip sandwich was delicious and my husband said the hamburger was out of this world. Including pictures to show just how beautifully the food was presented. Also, our server was efficient and accurate. And yelp even offered a coupon for 15% off our order! This place was just a total win all around! read more

Sandwiches awesome, atmosphere fun, tons of parking out back, great service and staff. Hot Italian excellent, soup for the day (chicken parm) was excellent. Only thing I do not recommend is the pizza - the crust was thick and hard and not a real pizza crust and didn't seem made onsite, whether Italian or Greek style. But we will go back for sure and order sandwiches and cocktails as all who had the sandwiches loved them. read more

Went the night before the ice storm. One if the few places you could get in to. Tiffany our bartender was great w food choices and quick drink delivery. Wings are a solid 8 out of ten. The sandwiches were spectacular as well. Highly recommend the Italian sandwich Lots of cool firefighter items and patches. Said to be owned by a firefighter as well Definitely would go there again read more

We chose this restaurant because my daughter was excited to go to a place with her name and it did not disappoint! We were seated quickly and the service was wonderful. I had a classic French dip which was delightful. My kids enjoyed their meals and the servings of the kids' plates were extremely generous. My husband got ribs and he can be pretty picky--but he liked these. My only complaint is that masks were not required and not worn by the staff. read more

Nice place. Big. Good happy hour. They have a "build your own burger" for $8.00 so I ordered it. They charged $13.50. When I called the guy out on it, he said "oh, I thought you wanted the one for $13.50. He wouldn't adjust the bill. So when you order that, you have to talk to this guy as if he was a moron. We stopped in while taking advantage of the warm weather on our motorcycle ride. I only had a domestic beer so I cannot give my opinion on the food. But Kim had their house salad with added broiled chicken breast. It was large, well stocked and she enjoyed it very much. Will have to go back and try out the food for myself. read more

So my family and I went to this place this evening, we arrived around 5:15-5:20. The place looks awesome and laid back as we walk in. The server comes and gets drink orders and finally gets them out to us. She proceeds to take our order and split the checks up according to our orders. I ordered one of their new menu items which was a type chicken sandwich. My family probably touched every category on the menu from wings to tacos, and shrimp scampi to chicken Alfredo. According to my family the food was pretty good and well balanced. My dad wasn't a fan of the wings and my aunts order was messed up. I can not tell you how the food was because I never received my food. By the time they brought my food out the whole table was done eating so I never got to taste my sandwich. I don't know if the 2 stars is justifiable since I didn't get to taste my food. But hey, the ham and cheese sandwiches I made when I got back to my room was on point! read more

Had lunch today at Callie Baker's Firehouse in North Myrtle Beach. Actual retired firehouse (Horry County Station #7). Service was quick. Refills timely. The wife's French dip sandwich with aus jus was great. My chicken tender basket was great. We shared some great onion rings. Good spot to go! read more

Atmosphere is cool. When we first walked in they had live music which was good but it was last song. Service was fair but it was near the end of the night. The pizza- absolutely the worst I've ever had anywhere. This should not be on the menu. Tasted like store brand frozen. Just bad. Pot stickers were good. Cesar salad not bad and chicken sandwich was ok. Won't be back. Just not worth it. Oh, glasses all sweat so water is running all over the tables. Need a solution for that. read more

My family and myself went here for dinner this evening. We got there at 6, fortunately there was no wait. We were greeted my a sweet lady at the hostess stand. Immediately upon entry my 2 year was in awe of the atmosphere this place offers. We were waited on instantly after we were seated by Anthony. He was friendly and spot on, my sweet tea(which was great) never went dry. We had the meat lovers pizza. It was delicious. The crust was amazing and crunchy. A very flavorful and grease free pizza with lots and lots of meat. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful meal. read more

We really wanted to like this place. We drove by earlier in our week and it was closed so we thought we would give it a try. It looked really fun but the service was poor at best. Our server took our order and never came back. All of the protein in each of our meals was overdone to the point it was like chewing rubber. I had the nachos with grilled chicken and they were over done melted cheese with rubbery chicken. The staff forgot the sour cream and salsa, so they were very dry. My husband and son ordered burgers that were so burnt they peeled the outer layer off from the patty and ate what they could. Even my daughters chicken tenders were overdone. We are not sports bar people so it was quite loud for us on Saturday afternoon with several football games on. I just saw that it was an old firehouse owned by firefighters and thought that was cool. Didn't realize it was a sports bar. That being said the service was amazing and they made a teriyaki burger for me even though they no longer have it on the menu. It was so amazing that we came back a few days later and we both got the teriyaki burger for takeout. The chips were very good too! read more

We had high expectations for this restaurant....a friend from Ohio recommended it. Unfortunately, we thought it's just ok. I would not recommend the Firehouse shrimp ever, it was over $10.00, maybe around 8 shrimp and really lame. Go to Bonefish for the best bang bang shrimp...even Longhorns Firecracker shrimp is huge and very good. My husband said his Philly cheesesteak sandwich was just good/ok...my build your own burger was good/ok. The side of French fries good/ok..My sweet potato fries were actually very tasty. Our server, Amber, was pretty new...she did a great job. Very efficient and personable. The ambiance was cool with all the Firestation memorabilia. The spacing between tables was great with covid. We we're a bit underwhelmed I guess....expected more. On a positive note my husband's Carolina IPA beers were vert tasty and reasonable. read more

Arrived at Happy hour and was pleasantly surprised by the variety on the menu. Stephanie, our bartender and server was attentive and knew the menu well. Happy hour apps were filling with plenty of time to enjoy them before dinner came. I had a burger (large portion), husband had a pizza. Both very good. Offered a to go box for leftovers, and there was leftovers! Stuffed peppers on appetizer menu are phenomenal! Hats off to Stephanie great bartender and server! read more

We made another trip here during summer of 2022. There were improvements since our last trip. Once again the space is really nice. Overall we all felt the food was better than our last trip. Some items, were really good. They also updated the menu to list iceberg lettuce instead of Romain. Our waitress was really nice and fairly attentive. I can't speak to if the previous drink issues have been resolved. When we asked for a drink menu, the waitress told us they "lost those menus". I found that to be a fairly odd response. We plan on giving one more try next year. I'll update the review again. At this point I would say give it a try, it's not my favorite place, but not bad either. read more

Went there yesterday with a party of seven. Four adults and three kids. All the food was great. No complaints. Waitress was great and attentive. Going back again tonight. It's a shame we found this place at the end of our trip. We would've gone more often. read more

This has great ambience and cool atmosphere. I enjoyed the sausage soup. Salad was ok. My son had the pizza and he said it was great. My daughter and nephew had chicken wings. They said they were over cooked and bland. Sweet potato fries were off the chain good. Our server was good but we felt like he was trying to inflate our bill. It's a narrow spot, so there's only so much you can do with that space and it shows. Some free parking out front, but it can be competitive depending on timing. Didn't try their food, but they have some. I don't believe they have free wifi. Like I said, for us it was a one and done. Others may not have a problem paying 15x what they should for a 2 oz pour of whiskey, it's just not for us.

Callie Bakers Firehouse is an absolute gem! The homemade chips were top-tier perfectly crisp and delicious, especially with the spicy ranch and house-made sauce, which were both really good. At first, I wasn't sure about the blue/red life matter decor on the door, but once I stepped inside and realized it was a firehouse-themed restaurant, it all clicked. Went here again last night with family and friends that came for vacation. They all loved the spacious location and fireman theme. One person got the Italian sub hot, I got it cold. Both were wonderful! My husband got a burger, and it was huge! He said it was very tasty. Another got the fish sandwich. She said it was crispy and delicious. Me had great service from Meghan, and I got the 5 alarm wings (the menu only says 4, but they have 5) and they were some of the best wings, and the best sauce I've ever had. Also great homemade chips with ranch. 10/10 will come back. read more

They also bagged all of our food and even put the rest of my salad in the fridge until it was time to go. At the end, we got a complimentary jar of honey. The inside of the restaurant is gorgeous - you can tell how much work they put into remodeling the restaurant. There's a nice dining area as well as a bar area. Would highly recommend dining here for dinner if you're in the area!

The menu had changed a bit since our last visit. My wife ordered a Coke, and I had an Old Fashioned. For food, my wife chose the Fried Crab Claws with fries, and I ordered the French Onion Soup along with the Pork Nachos from the happy hour menu. While we were waiting, the bartender asked where we were from. We told her Southern Maryland, and when I said Huntingtown, she immediately said, "That's where I'm from." That alone surprised us not many people even know where Huntingtown is. When we mentioned the road we live on, she said, "That's the road I turn on to my parents' house." This was the first time we've ever met a bartender or server over 400 miles from home who lived that close to us. Small world. Our food came out and my wife really enjoyed her crab claws -- I tried one and they were very good. My French onion soup had a nice, deep beef flavor and was very tasty, but after a few bites there was a heavy pepper bite that came through. It was still good, but I had to switch over and eat some of my nachos, which were also good, though different from how I remembered them. I think the BBQ sauce changed the flavor, and the lettuce (which I usually prefer without) was something I should have asked to leave off. Bo then asked if we had ever tried Mama's Soup, the tomato vegetable soup on the menu. We hadn't, and he asked if we'd like to try it. Not long after, he brought us another bowl and said, "This is Mama's soup give it a try." It was a vegetable soup with hamburger and a tomato base, and it was so good. When he came back, he explained it was his own version of his mother's soup. We told him it would go perfectly with a gooey grilled cheese, and he laughed and said they actually have one on the menu. It was really nice of Chef Bo to come out, check on us, listened and know something wasn't quite right, and it's being taken care of. That kind of interaction truly makes dining out a better experience. It makes the place feel welcoming, like they genuinely want you there. Yes, we will return -- and we were told that Mama's soup is always on the menu.

We strolled up and there were about 35 people sitting on benches and rocking chairs under a tent right in front of the place all waiting to get in. I figured this is not going to be easy. I went up to the hostess station and asked how long for a table for two and she said 35 minutes or so. I looked at my wife and gave her my name. I had to find out what all the hub bub was about. In about 30 minutes they shouted my name and I sprinted to the front door...I wasn't about to lose my table. In we went and we're shown a nice size table in the middle of the place. It kinda reminded me of a beachy mom and pop diner. The friendly waitress came to the table right away, gave us our menus, showed us the specials board and took a drink order. The menu was simple but had some choices on it. While we were thinking, she came back with our drinks and we quickly ordered an appetizer. In this case, onion rings. A few minutes later my wife settled on a crab cake app and a salad which she asked to be combined. I went for the soup of the day(NE clam chowder) and one of the specials...pork chops(I took my grilled not fried) with 3 sides, Lima beans, okra & tomatoes stewed and green beans. The meal came with a choice of cornbread or roll. I opted for the cornbread. In a flash, the onion rings came out followed by the soup. Now I do love me some onion rings and these were fantastic. Crispy, flavorful and not stringy. The soup was home made. Creamy with bits of clam and chunks of potato. No salt or pepper was needed as it came out steaming hot and perfect. It was a meal in itself and I ended up taking 3/4 home with me(something rarely do). After a few minutes, the main course came out. My wife dug into a very large homemade crab cake, chock full of crab meat and very flavorful. She loved it. The salad was fresh and crisp. My pork chops came out and the size of the plate shocked me. Now, I almost never talk about price but my plate was $12.49 and I got two large perfectly prepared, juicy pork chops with a healthy helping of the best okra and stewed tomatoes I ever had plus absolutely delicious green beans and tasty lima beans. What a deal! The only thing that wasn't above average was the corn bread which was a tad dry and plain. Most of the regulars opted for the home made roll(and the fried chicken which was being served at every table!). I was stuffed and had trouble finishing my plate. My wife who said she was full, managed to save enough room for dessert. Now everyone was eating the homemade peach cobbler so I suggested that. My wife never had it before and was thinking about the Oreo pie, but I persuaded her and she was glad I did. Instead of the usual whip cream she wanted vanilla ice cream with it and it was a fantastic combo. The cobbler came out piping hot and crumbly with sweet chunks of peaches that paired well with the cold vanilla ice cream. She attacked it so fast that I couldn't get a picture. I broke my own rules and dipped in for a few spoonfuls and I'm glad I did. It was heavenly. The bill came and I couldn't believe how reasonable it was. Now I know why you can't get into the joint. We paid our bill and gave the super friendly waitress a nice tip and were on our way. We will absolutely be back and will try to time it a bit better so we can find parking...or we'll take an Uber...it was that good.

The Steak Au Poivre is another one with a sauce that elevated an already well-cooked (but not well-done!) steak. My wife's Seafood Alfredo was wonderful, including the bites she let me steal, and the Lowcountry chowder was excellent. Her other favorites are the Filet Neptune and the Mahi-Mahi. The Thai BBQ ribs are also a big hit with the family, but somehow I still haven't gotten to try one. Next time. This is the "good" Joe's. They don't serve hamburgers here, but they do know how to cook a steak. The food is excellent, the service has always been good, and they've nailed the local upscale-casual restaurant and bar vibe. The only real downside is the tiny parking lot.
