I had a water heater that rusted through on Easter Sunday of this year which flooded my living…read moreroom. After turning off the water to the unit, I immediately went upstairs to file an insurance claim with USAA. Being Easter Sunday, I figured it would probably be Monday when the crew would arrive. Surprisingly, they arrived on Sunday roughly an hour after I had filed my claim. The immediately went to work putting dehumidifiers and fans in place and cordoned off the area with tape and plastic liner. The following morning, I awoke to a huge pool of water that had spread to my kitchen. Apparently the water heater, which was full when the water was shut off, had finally given way overnight and had emptied the water through a good part of my downstairs. A crew came out later that day and started the mitigation process. Every interaction I had with Lawton was professional, super prompt, and especially courteous. I highly recommend!

This past December, after having our house on the market for over 10 months with no movement, we finally were in contract. Then the Sierra Nevada foothills had the most epic storm in the past 30 years. Of course, more water intrusion. Russell had just repaired one part of the fireplace wall a few months earlier (see other review) but the whole other side failed during the December storm. Our stone veneer fireplace wall had to be taken down to fix the leak and mold. Russell was on it immediately. Because he took care of it so quickly while doing a very thorough job, we were able to close on the house just a couple of weeks late. He saved the day. Not only that, he found a wonderful contractor who rebuilt the whole wall in just a few days. We now live in our new house and fortunately, no water damage or mold.
