A couple of years ago I noticed the amount of energy we were supposed to be getting with our solar panels had severely decreased as our SMUD bill increased. Someone recommended getting the panels cleaned. I saw a sign for Sierra Maintenance leaving our neighborhood and decided to give them a call. After they cleaned the panels, I noticed a lower SMUD bill the next month and in the subsequent months and even to this day. They also send before and after pictures which show just how filthy the panels can get. They also cleaned our gutters this time which I didn't realize had a ton of gunk in them. Our home is two-story ~ 4k sq foot. We have about 12 panels and it was ~$200 to clean them plus another $360 to clean the gutters. Excellent company, which I will refer to others as well as use again next year.

The service technician Christian arrived on time and courteously introduced himself and his service procedure. He used a handheld meter to measure pressures and other important data about the unit's performance. He showed me the results on his meter: a loss of pressure, probably because of a coolant leak. He laid out my options and answered my questions. After getting my approval, he replaced the missing coolant and added a dye kit that would help find the leak. He also mentioned the dye kit included a sealant that might close up any small leaks. After adding the coolant and dye kit, the HVAC unit quickly brought interior temperatures down. Short-term problem solved. Christian explained that AirMech offers a maintenance plan that I should consider. It pays for regular inspections and provides a 15% discount on the work he had just completed. I opted in. The money I saved that day will more than pay for a whole year of the maintenance plan. A couple weeks later, I called AirMech again to have them inspect the lines to look for leaks. Christian was my man again. He arrived bright and early and performed a visual check in the attic. Then he hooked up his meter to the outdoor HVAC unit. He showed me the results and interpreted them for me: all readings are in the "ideal" range. It looks like the dye kit with sealer did its job. And because I had opted into the maintenance plan, there was no charge for the visit. Long-term problem solved. AirMech's staff operated with professionalism and integrity. I will call on them for my future HVAC needs. And I hope I get Christian again!

I met with the owner Mathew McGuire, who I found to be friendly, sincere, and someone who is vested in his business, his people, and working to ensure that he wins life-long customers with every job. I had done a lot of research with AI, so I knew my options well (that research was very helpful and I'd highly recommend doing it in advance of having people out to give you pricing). I had no intention of beating up each of the companies, I simply asked for their best pricing and options. I used AI to carefully review each bid in detail, including the proposed equipment and how appropriate it was for our home. All companies gave solid bids, but there was a very large spread between the highest and lowest. That usually concerns me, but all my research about American Energy indicated that they were a solid, competitive company. It was a big investment, but I ended up converting to an electric heat pump and also getting all our ducting replaced. We have a 2750 sf single-story home with 17 vents, so the new ducting was nearly as much as the system itself. That said, the ducting has made so much difference in terms of balancing the temperature throughout the house, which was a real probelm with the old system. The new system is extremely quiet and maintains a consistent temp throughout the day--and we've had some extremely hot days since it's been installed. American Energy's installers were all very friendly and professional, and did a great jobs with prep and clean-up each day they were here (the initial install took two days). There were a couple minor issues after the install was complete which required two follow-up appointments. One was a equipment issue that required Carrier to provide a replacement part, but Carrier was responsive and quickly provided it. For the additional follow-up appointments, their scheduling person as professional, courteous, and accommodating. In fact, she went out of her way over a weekend to re-schedule an appointment that was supposed to happen on a Monday morning. To me the company has to be a good one to A.) get that kind of diligence out of employees, and B.) to keep those kind of employees. In the end, I'm extremely happy with the system and will gladly subscribe for their annual maintenance contract.

We paid a $100 inspection fee and were told we needed a new indoor fan motor. We were quoted almost $1,565 for the repair, and they didn't have the part available but said they could order it. Before agreeing to the repair, I decided to get a second opinion--and I'm very glad I did. Frost Energy Solutions came out and diagnosed the same issue. Josh replaced the same motor for $775 TOTAL, including the inspection, and even topped off our Freon. That's nearly an $800 difference for the exact same repair. I understand companies have different pricing and overhead, but I felt the original quote was extremely high, especially after finding another reputable company willing to do the same job for almost half the price. I would definitely recommend Frost Energy Solutions and Josh. He was professional, honest, fair, and transparent about the repair and pricing. In this economy, that kind of integrity means a lot! Do yourself a favor and get a second opinion before paying a high HVAC repair quote. We're very thankful we did!

In the last 10 or so years in the area I've called RHA, one other place because they could get me to faster - had a bad experience, waited for RHA had an amazing experience, and decided they're going to be my ride-or-die for HVAC. I called them at 7am and by 11:30am their tech had fixed and tested everything and off to help someone else. Yesterday was the start of a heat wave and ... our AC unit quit on us. I called RHA as soon as they opened this morning at 7am, asked for Joe in particular, and they gave me a window between 10am and 12pm. Joe texted ahead of time at 10:30, diagnosed the blown capacitor, swapped it out, cleaned things up a bit, tested the coolant, answered a bunch of questions, and was on his way in just under an hour. The diagnostic was $129 and the capacitor was $186 today. By a complete and total coincidence, I had been running some experiments with home temperature sensors for the last week. You can literally see on these pictures exactly when the AC unit stopped working - and when RHA saved our bacon. The "other" place I called years ago only had a $79 diagnostic charge, but wanted to rip out and replace the entire HVAC system - and claimed we were taking our lives in our own hands by not getting it fixed with him immediately. Joe and RHA took care of everything for the diagnostic. Yeah, you can probably find someplace to charge you less for the diagnostic or maybe less for the part, but when your house is boiling hot / freezing cold, you want to be able to call on someone you can trust to help you out - and not take you for a ride.

Amanda, the technician, came and did a post-remediation air quality test after the mold issue have been resolved and was extremely thorough and careful, exponentially more than the other 2 mold testers that I've used. She answered a ton of my questions with great knowledge and detail, and was extremely helpful in giving me a better understanding of mold and the situation in general. She spent A LOT of time, in contrast to other two mold testing companies that only spent 20mins max. Not only were they more professional, thorough, and answered all of my questions, they also charged me very reasonably for the amount of time and effort they put into their air testing. The last 3 months was quite an ordeal and my only regret is that I did not find this company to begin with. If I have any air quality/mold issues I'll be sure to seek them out again.

I had them install baseboards, fix a section of my floor, and restain my floors. I went on vacation while they did this. I came back to all the windows in my house and doors left open. Anyone could have came in. The baseboards were not painted, there was dust everywhere, they got stain on many of my cabinets. They did come out to paint the baseboards but got paint on the floor. I paid to have the furniture moved and ended up having to help move in myself. Additionally, the workers that did the actual work were not even from the same company. I doubt that they were even legal. I could get past most of this but one of the repairs only lasted a few months then broke again. When I reached out they gave me the run around, then when they did come out said that my floors were not installed probably, and that was the issue. I asked when they did not disclose this prior to the project they said that they did not know. They refused to repair it and were very rude about it. I have no choice but to report them to the licensing board and go to court to collect damages to repair my floor. Do not use this company.

Mr. Alba of Green Bee Restoration did a great job of remediation on the mold in the crawl space under my house. When he went under the house he found that water was leaking in from the rain in the back yard. He first fixed this with a drainage system. He then scraped off the mold from all wood and concrete surfaces under the house. Then he sprayed within the crawl space to kill the mold. After an independent inspection company verified that there was no visible mold in the crawl space and that the amount of mold spores in the crawl space air was less than the background level outside the house, Mr. Alba finished the job by lining the crawl space with thick, clear plastic and painting all wood and concrete surfaces with a mold resistant paint. Mr. Alba is an honest and hard working man. His crew was very careful in keeping my house clean and taped down thick paper on the floor leading from my front door to the access point for the crawl space. We recently had Russell and his crew come out to take a look at a possible Plumbing Leak that caused the drywall in our home to have mold and a horrific smell. Within an hour or two of reaching out he sent a crew to inspect and sure enough we had mold. His crew did an AMAZING job and was very respectful of our home and the job they did was fantastic.! Within a few short days our bathroom was cleaner then before they had started the job. They did a great job at the rebuild as well very clean and prompt. Russell was right on time, very professional, helpful and honest. We just moved into a new (old) home and there were many signs of damage / and what we thought was mold in the HVAC system. Russell called on his personal cell to schedule, showed up the next morning, and when he could have over sold us he did the opposite. He was so honest and explained that the issues we were noticing weren't mold and weren't issues we needed to remediate. Russell did a great job restoring my sun room here in North Natomas. I had rot and mold damage in the outside wall of the sunroom and there was water coming in from outside. He completely gutted the outside wall (in and out) and got all the rot repaired and then used his machine to eradicate the mold and put in new carpeting. He also did some other projects around the house for just a little extra. I am definitely going to recommend him to friends and family. read more

Russell did an awesome job! I am so incredibly happy. Good price and my carpet is free of all the stains and spots that I was so concerned about. Russell and the Green Bee team did an excellent job on our kitchen water damage and mold problem. The big companies we called all quoted much higher and assured us we would have extensive repairs to our countertops and cabinets. Eric Garibay and if I remember correctly, Gideon came to my house a few days later and did an assessment, I got a quote right away and was pleasantly surprised by the thoroughness of the quote and the bottom line. Eric and Gideon returned a couple days later and got to work, Eric did all the under house work which is really difficult under ideal conditions, my crawl space is very tight so less than ideal, but Eric managed his way through it all and got the job done and did it all with a smile. I have the utmost respect for his professionalism, and that goes for Gideon too, I sure hope I got your name right Gideon, if not I appologize. They are not willing to squeeze us in, but state that they have other bookings and can not clean our house. What an incredible inconvenience! UPDATE: Updated from 1 to 3 stars. A few hours after contacting lots of other carpet cleaners to try to still get the job done (since I had already moved all the furniture) Jeff called to confirm our appointment. I was super confused and told him the office staff had said I had no appointment. He assured me I was on his schedule and that he would call the office. He called a few minutes later and all was squared away. He showed up on our appointment date on schedule and completed the job as quoted. I love the job with the grout cleaning and most of the carpet throughout except for the master bedroom. I think that maybe we just have a very light color carpet there and maybe that's why it didn't look as clean as I would have hoped. Pictures follow. The scheduling part was so confusing and such a hassle that I don't want to call back to have them come look at the master again so I'll just tell myself it's my carpet color. The reason for the 3 is that I wasted a good two hours trying to find a new cleaner when they had me in the schedule after all. My advice would be to check a day or two after booking to make sure you're on the schedule.

Since I wanted pet deodorizing + deep cleaning, AGC informed me that the technician would give me a new quote once he assessed my apartment. The technician I had was Jeff! Jeff was a rockstar, and super helpful. My carpets looked better than new once he was done! His add-on quote for the pet deodorizing was SO reasonable! I couldn't believe it! I'm kind of embarrassed to be attaching these photos because my carpet was disgusting, but check out the during and after! Disappointed. Have little to no regard for customer's time…read more Small bathroom reno project was supposed to finish within 3 weeks. Took 6 weeks longer and still could not procure material on time. I am not price sensitive client. I dont nickel and dime. I didnt negotiate price - i paid asking price because i expected A+ quality work. They still dropped the ball. Imagine how bad they will be when they *dont* get what they want. It took me 2 hours to find the same materials on Home Depot and have it delivered within 48 hours for less price and equal or better quality. His response was, "Hate to jinx it, but maybe the glass door gets broken during delivery". Had to terminate the GC over incompetence like this. They are small time contractors but charge pricing just like a big company. Advantage with bigger company is, their suppliers and sub-contractors take them seriously and deliver goods on time. Had to hire someone else to fix their mistakes and finish the project. I wont recommend them to my friends. Update: he texted to say he will sue me if i dont remove this review.

From the very beginning, they impressed me. Not only was their pricing fair, but they were ready and willing to start the very next morning -- I didn't even bother getting a second estimate. When I arrived at the property at 8:00 AM the next day, they had already completed about a quarter of the demolition. They started early and worked efficiently, all without being a nuisance to the neighbors. That level of professionalism and consideration really stood out. They also referred me to a great supplier for high-quality kitchen cabinets at amazing prices. After seeing their work ethic during demolition, I hired them for the cabinet installation -- and they did a fantastic job. From there, I decided to use them for the majority of the renovation project. The only parts I subcontracted out were the new roof and the HVAC system (since I received a package deal through my AC/heating supplier).
