Peanut butter cup ice cream with hot fudge

Fantastic ice cream! I had the peanut butter cup ice cream with hot fudge. A size small is a very generous portion! You can't beat Cal's homemade ice cream.

Dinky large sundae with minimal ice cream

I was visiting Reading area and saw this place on way to highway. It said homemade in e cream , so figured to try. I walked in and 5 young people working there ... Only one finally acknowledged me at counter. Other 4 not sure what they working? I order a large sundae which said 3 scoops. I ordered sweet cream and Twix flavors. Was just just shy of 10 bucks Sundae had very little ice cream ? 3 scoops? What is scoop size ? Table spoon or soup spoons ? I didn't taste two flavors ? Just sweet cream flavor? Hot fudge, whipped cream hid the table spoon scoops. Wasn't impressed at all for 10 bucks... I won't return .

Our ice cream was very delicious and I wanted to try everything on the menu! The person who took our order was very friendly and speedy. I will be returning!

We found this place traveling home from vacation. It had more flavors and I've ever seen at any ice cream place before plus it's homemade so it definitely peaked my interest. I didn't know what a lot of the flavors were, but the girl who is working the counter was happy to explain each one to me. I had a cookie dough Oreo ice cream that was absolutely delicious. The small was absolutely gigantic. My wife had a sundae and the hot fudge was as good as her favorite place down the Cape. We will definitely be going back here and trying other flavors. They also have a pizza place next-door that I'd like to try. It's definitely worth a trip.

I had a pregnancy craving for some ice cream so we went this afternoon! I couldn't decide on a flavor and my husband noticed they had "flight" listed so I asked what it is. You get to pick 4 different flavors, so I decided YEP! I got the chocolate peanut butter swirl: could use a bit more peanut butter. Peanut butter cup: the sweat cream ice cream was great and had just enough pb cups! Mocha chip: dare I say, too many chips? But overall nice flavor. Twix: delicious, no notes.

Cute farm-style place near Stoneham. If you've tried that scoop place down the street you'll like it here too. While they manage the sizes a bit better, the quality is where Cal's gets the nod. Rich n smooth, with a variety of choices, this isn't your typical ice cream stand. You're not gonna see twenty different sundaes or wacky flavors. This place aims for flavor profiles to please the palet. Give them a shot, you're kids will like them tok!

Before heading to Fuddruckers, I decided to get dessert first and walked over to the  Cookie Monstah counter, conveniently next to the colorful water light show display. The place was quite busy with a line. When it was my turn, I eventually decided on a Wicked Good Sandwich, choosing Two M&Ms Cookies with German Chocolate Cake Ice Cream. This ice cream sandwich was very good which I needed enjoy quickly as the ice cream melts in quick fashion. After I finished my Cookie Monstah treat, I actually too filled up to immediately order my favorite Southwest Burger and fries from Fuddruckers, lol.

The servings are generous, the toppings abundant, and the ice cream itself is frozen perfection. Honestly, if there's a better way to spend a summer evening, I haven't found it. The setup is charming in its simplicity: a cozy little spot tucked between the stand and a neighboring building, picnic tables slightly shielded from the street. It feels almost like you've stumbled on a secret ice cream speakeasy, except the password is just "two scoops, please." Service? Quick, courteous, and top-notch--exactly the kind of people you want handing you sugar in frozen form. So why not five stars? Because the prices are... let's say "aspirational." The kind of numbers that make you check twice to make sure you didn't accidentally buy equity in the place. Delicious as it is, ice cream probably shouldn't cost the same as a casual sit-down lunch. That said, Nanabette's still delivers one of the best cones you'll find in Woburn. Just maybe bring a second wallet--you know, in case you want sprinkles.

My boys split the ice cream nachos (broken waffle cone, their choice of ice cream, 2 toppings, and dipping sauce). I only wish I would have encouraged them to choose peanut butter instead of marshmallow to dip, because we all know pb is better. I could see how this spot would be nostalgic for some, but it is also a great joint for out-of-towners.
