And then the buffet. Sunday brunch is a buffet, drinks are extra. Where to begin.... I walked around to see what are my choices, then I headed to the oysters. Juicy and plump, they are from Jack Bailey's farm and especially and only for Salty's restaurant, I was told. Then prime rib. Nice medium rare and tender. There were crab on the buffet too, my daughter's favorite. Pasta station, cooked to order, with fillings like lobster, crab, baby shrimp, mushrooms, tomatoes, etc.... So many choices. A waffle station. A hot food station but I didn't go there, eggs, bacon, sausages, potatoes,etc... a salads station and a desserts station with fresh fruits and a chocolate fountain... enough to satisfy any appetite and cravings. Our server John was excellent: on point, knowledgeable, offered to take our pictures...Juan promptly cleared the plates . There was a Photo Booth downstairs too so you get souvenirs photos printed right away for take home. And a deck outside to take pictures of the Seattle landscape. I would recommend Salty's to all people going to Seattle.

The setting is hard to beat, especially on a nice day when you can take in the scenery while dining. The seafood was exceptionally fresh and flavorful, and the overall food quality was excellent. Service was attentive, and the atmosphere made for a memorable dining experience. Prices are on the higher side, but the location and quality help justify the cost. The desserts, however, were underwhelming and can be skipped. Overall, it's a fantastic spot for seafood lovers looking for great views and a classic Pacific Northwest dining experience.

Food was definitely better this time around. I opted with the seafood salad, which was what it sounded like. The one thing that stood out to me were the smoked scallops, which I could have just ate a whole plate of. There was a fair amount of seafood amongst the plate. Tip: Mondays are half price bottled wine, which was probably the best deal of the night. Now for my salad and bowl of soup I think was around $50+. I'm not afraid to spending money, but I can say you must be paying for the view, and I get it. But the overall price we paid. Idk. The service was a glaring issue, in which I think there were a total of maybe 10 tables that were taken in the whole restaurant. The server was nice enough, but not attentive at all. Now I'm not going to lie the birthday boy set up his dinner for 7pm on a Monday. We did not know that Ivars closed at 8....and no one even told us at any point. I get this was to be polite, but had we known we probably would have been out of there a lot earlier. We did end up leaving at 10 to 9, but probably could have been gone a lot earlier had anyone mentioned that they closed at 8 or we didn't have to wait for our bill for 20+ minutes. I did feel bad after knowing we stayed so late, but like I said there was a definite lack of communication. Also one last thing. Charging for the bread, I don't know if that's new, but seems rather silly to me. I feel like I'm being generous with the 4 star review, in actuality closer to 3.5, I just feel bad making them stay until after close.

I was so delightfully surprised by this. It was salmon poke, which is always my preference, and I really liked how small they cut the salmon pieces. Most of the bowl was filled with salmon (no rice) with a bit of arugula at the bottom. I really liked that. The truffle fries were SOOO delicious and the aioli that came with them was perfect. The sliders were very delectable, as well. Our server was very kind. We walked in 10 mins before happy hour ended and she made sure to check in with us and get our orders in before happy hour ended. The inside of the restaurant is artfully decorated and there are nice views of the water.

My coworkers and I came here for dinner and on a beautiful sunny Seattle day, it was great to sit by the window and look out over the water. The food was also decent. It is slightly over priced, but not unusually high and about what you would expect for a waterfront restaurant in Seattle. The Lobster Mac and Cheese was delicious! The filet, scallops and oysters we had were also great. Nothing blew me away, but everything was up to expectations for a restaurant of this caliber. The not-so-good - The service was awful. From the moment we were sat the wait staff was quite rude to us and our whole meal felt rushed. They kept approaching asking to take away plates when we weren't finished, they were short with my coworkers who had questions on the menu and were generally unwelcoming towards us. If it was not for our experience with the service, This would be a 4-star review, but for a meal at price point, I would expect the overall experience to be exceptional and this did not meet that for me.

The waiter brought us water and returned shortly afterwards to take our order. PRO TIP: Try going at happy hour daily from 3-6pm for great food and drink specials. We started with fried calamari and oyster shooters as appetizers, and the Ivar's fish and chips as our main entry. I paired my meal with the local Space Dust IPA . The appetizers arrived about 10 minutes later. The calamari was delicious, meaty, crispy but not over cooked. The oyster shooters were fresh and delicious. The fish and chips arrived a few minutes later. It was truly the star of our meal. The cod was moist and clean tasting. The fries were fresh tasting. The combination of lemon, malt vinegar and tartar sauce were great condiments. The only minor disappointment was the service that was slow. Although still highly recommended for great Seattle PMW culinary experience.

That clientele usually is absent from places like this. Maybe her crooked wig made her testy. Who knows. Anyways im not paying premium prices for mediocre service and have to also suffer the wrath of hoodrats. Over it. Refund me please. I waited 30 minutes to find a manager to no avail. Could be amazing. Needs work. Thats all. I'd be remiss if I didnt mention the very professional young black lady at the kiosk upfront. She was polite and helpful while the other girls were gossiping and looking at their phones. Just saying. Thats all.
