Was excited about try a Mexican restaurant that focuses on seafood. Big open space, not crowded, music a bit on the loud side, though it was good music. Service was a bit slow, never offered water. Lots of choices on menu, prices reasonable. We got #18 and 19 and skinny margaritas. Felt like the margarita could have had more tequila, but tastes good, wasn't sweet. Overall good, would come back.

Love that Sparks has a new Mexican seafood restaurant! This place is conveniently located on Victorian square, right next to the Nugget Event Center. Visited on a Friday evening and it was a little busy, to be expected. We ordered a shrimp appetizers and I had the tuna tostada. I really liked the spicy flavors of the shrimp but be prepared to get messy! The tuna tostada was good but I think I'll try another item next time. Our server was friendly and attentive. They had a live band the evening we visited which was fun but it does get loud. All the food looked great and I would definitely recommend trying this place!

Went for a quick early dinner date night since my husband was craving mariscos. I had high hopes, but it was a mixed bag. They start you off with chips and salsa, which is always a win. I got the coctel de camaron and honestly--loved it. Super flavorful, fresh, and I'd definitely go back just for that. The ceviche tostada was good... nothing amazing, but it did the job. Now the letdown: the camarones en camisa (bacon-wrapped shrimp). Just... sad. Overcooked, dry, and tasted like they were made ahead of time and reheated. For a $30 plate, that's pretty disappointing. The place itself is nice--spacious, clean, and they mentioned they're newly opened with plans for live music, which could help the vibe later on. Overall, it was just meh. Some hits, some misses. I really wanted to love it, but right now it's nothing to rave about

It's a good size venue with nice decor, nothing too fussy. Our waiter was very gracious and did a great job of explaining some of the dishes. The green salsa with chips was very flavorful and not too spicy at all. I love a good street taco and the beef tacos are very good. My husband had the Torta Ahogada and loved it. During dinner we had live music. They did a movie x of traditional Mexican music and classic rock. They were very good. The prices are very reasonable

Happy we came here for lunch, such a great new spot! Parking is a bit limited. The place is clean and the service was awesome! We tried the coconut shrimp plate, I do wish they offered this also as an appetizer because all our dishes came with rice and salad already but it came as a meal with 8 crispy shrimp. It was good. My husband got the gobernador shrimp tacos, which consist of shrimp, cheese, onions and peppers. This had a really good tangy flavor. I enjoyed the filet zarandrado. It was delicious! Not overly saucy but just right. The citrusy flavor was really unique and good. It melted on the tongue. I did order a birria taco to try and next time I will be ordering more of these:)

I read there was a new restaurant that opened up on Victorian Ave. in the old Los tres hombres building and it said "they had Taco Tuesday specials three street tacos for $10 and Margaritas for $8". When we got there, we have the taco special, but not the Margaritas which I think they should honor their advertising. The building is very big, I think for their business establishment. The seating has wooden booths with a few tables with chair padding. The staff are friendly and they brought us chips and salas. I loved that they served the green salas with the perfect flavor. The chips were homemade and crispy. My husband ordered the Taco special and he tried each flavored taco with the Al Pastor being his favorite . The chicken and beef a little dry. I ordered the Chicken Burrito. It didn't come with sauce only guacamole and sour cream. The sour cream was liquified. The burrito was big and I took most of it home. Rice & Beans is in the burrito and not served separately. I asked several people about the Tuesday Margarita special, but there wasn't one so we requested a Cadillac Margarita x 3= $48 Food x2= $28 Total with tax $84. They have a big stage, where they're going to bring in bands to play Spanish and English same with Karaoke nights. There are many big screen TVs with mariachi bands playing. It would be perfect for football and sporting game parties. There is parking out front or a parking lot on the side, if you go through the alley! Good to see someone in the building and I wish them success.

We rolled in here on a Thursday night and these guys were closing. The bar was clean and inviting and they let us all have a round. We came back on a Sunday night for dinner. I had the bacon wrapped shrimp and my husband had the garlic shrimp, plus queso and chips. The service was amazing. We had a few rounds of margaritas at the bar also. Everyone was kind and helpful. Everyone loved their food...we even saw what we are ordering next time we are there. I'm so glad we have another amazing Mexican restaurant in town!!!

My husband and I were looking for a new place to grab dinner. We decided to give this place a chance. It is the old Tres Hombres location on Victorian Ave. They remodeled it a bit on the inside it looks nice. I ordered a beef quesobrirria taco with rice and beans. The taco was delicious and had a ton of flavor. The refried beans were good nothing out of this world but still good. The Mexican rice had good texture but was lacking in flavor. My husband ordered the shrimp tacos he said they had a ton of flavor and he thought the shrimp was cooked perfectly. His plate came with yellow rice which I thought was way better than the red rice. My husband liked the red better lol I also ordered a soursop margarita which was very good. I'd for sure order it again. Over all this place was very good and I will put it on our restaurant rotation.

The atmosphere/ambiance is pretty casual, perfect for happy hour. I've been here for margs and tacos, and another time for mimosas and.. tacos again lol! The quesabirrias are soooooo good and I'm super picky about chorizo. This one passes the test! Officially knocked my old #1 for chorizo in town down to 2nd place (: Service has been fast and friendly every time and I love the music inside. It's a nice change from the usual around here. Try the guava margarita with the quesabirrias- it'll put you in a great (or better!) mood immediately (:

Came by today to check out Cameron Pelado and was not disappointed. Restaurant was pretty spacey and felt pretty inviting. We were greeted and seated promptly, and our waiter was on the ball the entire time. We got the tostada de atun, molcajete Del Mar, and some tacos. Everything was really good and portions were very generous. Only small complaint was the lack of goat birria, but that might not be available at all times. Will definitely be back.

What an amazing new restaurant! The food is wonderful and I cannot wait to go back to try more. Happened to be walking by today so we went in and everything about it was outstanding. We already have plans to go back twice. Very open space that is nicely decorated, and everyone we spoke to was so kind.

First time here and the experience was great. Happy to see some of their other location's favorites on the menu. Great new seafood options, all together excellent especially because we save a drive. The service was quick and friendly. Space was big, plenty of seating. Happy to have this kind of space in Sparks, finally a great option!!

The biscuits were super soft and moist. The gravy was a perfect consistency. A good amount of sausage without being overwhelming plus a thickness that sticks to the biscuit perfectly for a good mashing of the flavors. My son had Gambi's scramble. He said the eggs tasted weird but I had to point out that it has cream cheese which he did not notice so that is more of a him thing. Lol. I tried it personally I think it's a good mixing of flavors. The cream cheese texturing makes it a little weird if you are not expecting it. But good flavor. We both loved the potatoes that came with it had a little crisp one the outside and they we're NOT mushy on the inside. Still a slight firmness inside. Overall, very good. Server was amazing AGAIN. (different server than last time so this shows a consistancy of good servers) very happy, helpful, and positive mood. I'll be making another visit here for sure!

This was my first time to Legends Bay Oyster & Sushi bar. We had some guests from the Bay Area and…read morethey wanted sushi. Since Legends was offering an all you can eat option and a buy two sushi rolls for $12.99, we decided to give Legends a try. Everyone had a couple of sushi rolls and I decided to sample different nigiri sushi so I can gauge the freshness and quality. Salmon, if not fresh (or as fresh as can be in Reno) can be oily and fishy. This wasn't it. It can tell it was previously frozen due to the texture. As fresh texture has more resistance when biting down vs previously frozen tends to be softer, less bounce when biting. But it was good or even better than some other local sushi offerings. Tako or boiled octopus, is almost never fresh caught / cooked at any restaurant other than Japan. Even in the Bay Area, Tako is usually bought cooked but not frozen. This is where it can affect the quality. If frozen, it can make the tako kind of stringy and mushy. When it's not frozen the tako is firm and slightly chewy. I can tell this tako travelled a little but it wasn't frozen. Unagi or grilled eel, is almost always purchased cooked by most restaurants other than what I've had in Japan. Similar to tako, it is usually shipped refrigerated but not frozen. All restaurants will serve unagi over rice with a drizzle of unagi sauce. The flesh should be tender and any bones will be super thin and not a problem to eat. There weren't any bones which is a plus. This unagi didn't appear to be previously frozen. We also has the edamame, which is tossed in garlic and salt with some oil. Very tasty on a simple dish. If cigarette smoke bothers you, there wasn't any in the restaurant but apparent everywhere in the casino, so plan ahead. The tables were about 30% capacity and even with that, the order to service gap was fairly long. Our server was pleasant and willing to explain how the player's card program worked. Would I come back for sushi here? Sure, but I better be hungry to get full value from the all you can eat.

We were greeted by hostess Julie, who was warm and welcoming right from the start. I really appreciated that the staff acknowledged the birthday without us even having to mention it. Our server, Mary Jane, already knew, which was a great touch (likely from reservation notes which, honestly, was a refreshing change from a past experience at Peppermill). Mary Jane was excellent--attentive, consistent, and on top of everything. Even with how busy it was, she made us feel like we were her only table. Chloe, our food runner, kept things running smoothly. The atmosphere was lively with trivia night and team competitions going on, which added a fun vibe. They also have outdoor seating available. Food was good overall. The birthday boy loved the Crabfest! Tried their sampler platter and Lobster fries both were just okay. Our shrimp came out overcooked at first, but they quickly corrected it and the second round was great. The seafood pasta, fish & chips, shrimp, and poke tacos were all decent, but nothing particularly memorable. Service is definitely 5 stars. We were greeted by our server (John, I believe), who took drink orders and brought those, but then he took about 15 minutes before taking our meal order. We could see hi working tables between the bar and the casino floor, so we know he wasn't hiding, but it was not the promptest order taking. We ordered a lot, so I'll try to remember them all! We started with onion rings, calamari, and the combo platter (wings, calamari, mozzarella sticks, onion rings). For entrees, there were Cobb salads (Romaine, iceberg, spring mix, crumbled bleu cheese, cherry tomatoes, corn, bacon, eggs, pickled red onions, cucumber, green goddess dressing) but with bacon on the side and extra dressing on the side as well. We also ordered a kid's cheeseburger, and a Paddy Melt (Smashed beef burger, Guinness-braised onions with cheddar and American cheese, bacon, Burger-zing sauce on garlic, grilled sourdough). There were other dishes, but these are the ones with photos! The food came quickly and was nice and hot. Except the salads. The onion rings are always well fried, crisp and not oily. The combo platter is also a favorite, and the calamari went fast as well. The salads are fresh, colorful, with textures and tastes that really come together, and the Green Goddess is a perfect choice. The Paddy Melt was cooked perfectly, and nicely presented, and the kid's burger (1/2) was just the right size for a 10-year-old. All things considered, it was a great meal, and once we got the order in, the service was attentive and professional. Looking forward to a return visit here.
