You never know what to expect at small town coffee shops and I have tough standards, or so I'm told :) Cambria was excellent! We stopped here after a camping trip in Big Sur and it was a quick turn off the highway. We found parking immediately and were so grateful Cambria was open at 3pm. I got an iced latte and the espresso was perfectly brewed. Not too bitter but still had great flavor. Cambria isn't somewhere you sit down inside and hang out, but there's tables outside and the town is welcoming enough that I'm sure you could find a nice spot to enjoy your drink. While I waited I looked around their gift shop that was full of local artists items. I'm bookmarking this for the next time I'm driving along that stretch of highway, it's a perfect little town to stop for lunch and delicious coffee! read more

Cambria Coffee Roasting Company, Cambria, CA - November 29, 2023 We arrived at about 11:45 on a Wednesday morning. They have a full assortment of coffee drinks and some pastries. They have indoor and outdoor seating. You can order drinks with regular milk, oat milk and almond milk. I got a 12 oz cappuccino with oat milk and my wife got a 12 oz pumpkin latte with oat milk. My drink was very good and my wife swears her pumpkin latte was the best she's ever had. I tried hers and agreed it was very tasty. Our server did a terrific job and we enjoyed the outdoor seating area along the sidewalk. Nice ambiance! Worth the stop! read more

When I come in again and see this employee with his wavy, long dark hair constantly playing with it while touching the rims of the containers of coffee and opening the bags to put pastries in that customers are going to eat/drink from, I am in fact going to file a report to the S L O COUNTY HEALTH DISTRICT!!! This is no different from finding a hair in your food/drink! If he is so obsessed with playing with his hair, food and the equipment handling is not the environment for he to be employed! You had to see it folks, everything he did while attending to customers was in between going to his hair with his hand! The thing about it is, he is congenial and got the job done...just zero comprehension of food handling sanitation and Cambria Coffee's customer base safety. This had better not happen again! Had the best Pumpkin Spice Latte. Not too sweet, and I loved that they served it at a drinkable temperature. I usually have to wait 15-30 minutes before drinking hot drinks, unless I ask for "kids temp", which I most often forget to do. The latte they served me was perfect! We stopped by today before we headed home to Paso Robles. The Horchata Latte was the best one I have tasted. Hubby throughly enjoyed his Americano too. Slightly a coffee snob, not ashamed. I ordered an iced white mocha with pumpkin syrup. It was probably the best coffee I've ever had. The perfect mix of flavors and the coffee was perfection. If I wasn't pregnant and didn't have a caffeine max per day, I'd order another one. 10/10 recommend. I will be back every morning on our next trip to beautiful Cambria. read more

just now New Came Memorial weekend (Sunday at noon), so naturally a busy time. Walked in began to wait in line....I was eight people deep and the girl at the counter ordering was already given her coffee, but the cashier and her continued talking about some experience. It was clear they knew each other. Regardless, the cashier had zero regard for the long line and those waiting to order. It wasn't until I finally signaled her for some acknowledgement that they began to wrap-up their convo. We finally moved up the line by one person. And what did she do? She began talking about some gentleman's band with him and holding up the line once again. I turned around and went to the cafe down the street and had a wonderful coffee. Customer service folks!!! When its busy, step it up and let customers see you're at least trying to get through the long line. read more

My wife had a Chai Tea Latte, and she said it was amazing. When we travel to the area again, we will definitely be back. I would much rather support local businesses than popular chains. They have a neat selection of gifts and souvenirs. They have a small downstairs area but they have an upstairs area that they are currently remodeling. We picked up coffee from Cambria Coffee this week. I have no real complaints, I ordered an iced oat latte and it was fine. I will say, this probably isn't my fav coffee option in the area at this point because it's not as warm and cozy as other locations nearby. It's not loss on me that businesses are operating during a pandemic but since I'm not a local when I come to town it's nice to be able to walk into a place and order and then sit around and leisurely enjoy your coffee if that's what you have time to do. Cambria Coffee is pretty clearly a take out only coffee shop at this point. I did notice a brekke burrito option from Soto's which is probably really yummy since I like most everything from that market/deli, so I'd bank that's a solid selection if you're looking for food as well. If you're looking to take away, good spot! If you're looking to relax a bit, continue on down the road to Lilly's. The crowd seems warmer and the vibe a bit more welcoming there. read more

A great selection of items, super friendly staff, AND they support basic human rights?! Amazing. Came here on a Sunday after lunch time by Main Street Grill down the street, and it was a great pick-me-up for the gloomy day. The line was consistently long from travelers. I think it took my group of six around 20 minutes to put in our orders and get our drinks. Multiple methods of payment allowed and there's marks on the ground for social distancing in line. Everyone who came by while I was here was social distancing with masks on. The staff here is SO nice. They were helpful in explaining some items for me to choose. I came during October so they had a Ghost Latte special, which is a latte with a few drops of ghost pepper hot sauce--quite inventive! The roasts are listed on the menu, which is clearly visible behind the cashier. I got the Baja Mocha, which is a mocha with a Mexican twist with cinammon and other spices. The mocha was perfect for drinking as soon as I got it, and the spices were not overpowering at all. So comforting! Didn't get any food from here as we already ate, but the pastries looked tasty. My husband and I found this great coffee company with delightful food and beverages on our way to SF during MDW. I had the organic plant based breakfast burrito containing, potatoes, onions, bell peppers, cilantro, chimichurri mayo on one of the best flour tortillas I have ever had. The combination of flavors was simply divine. I had a matcha oat milk latte sweetened with vanilla and you could really taste the umami flavor of the tea. It was also a great drink to have especially on a cold, rainy day. The chocolate croissant wasn't memorable but they have a wide variety of pastries and baked goods that are freshly made in-house. The baristas were pleasant, ensuring that every customer felt welcomed. It's refreshing to encounter such genuinely friendly staff in a coffee shop, and it made me feel like a valued customer. The overall ambiance of the coffee company was cozy and inviting. The decor had a rustic charm, with comfortable seating arrangements that made it an ideal spot to relax or catch up with friends. The prices were reasonable, considering the quality of food and service provided. There is also plenty of parking on the street. I can confidently say that this coffee company is a hidden gem in the city. This review is a bit overdue, but incredibly worthy of its five stars. We were in the area escaping the Valley heat with our best beagle girl, June. We dubbed it "June-cation" as we were scouting all the top dog friendly spots in the Cambria area within 24 hours. I'm not a big morning person, but I definitely wanted to indulge our 2 year beagle with a morning beach walk. Side note: Cambria beaches don't appear super dog friendly. You'lI only find one beach that is dog friendly. The access point is through Shamel Park. I did significant work on a itinerary and knew that I couldn't execute a morning beach walk without a cup of coffee in hand. And what better way than with a hyper-local roasting company. And so I sent my partner on his way, directions in hand, while I readied June. He returned with more than just coffee. Muffins in hand, and with a slight smirk, he exclaimed "They were fresh and I knew you'd like it!" I did. My man knows me. I asked him to surprise me, given that he knows my typical order. He returned with not one, but TWO coffees. An Americano (my go to) and a Mexican Coffee. Two coffees are better than one, right? They were extra hot and perfect for our morning jaunt. We thoroughly enjoyed tasting our three coffees between us (Chai Tea Latte, Mexican Mocha, and an American). While they only open at 7am (normally an early time for me, but can be a little late for some) we loved our experience with Cambria Coffee and can't wait to return to try more of their specialty roasts and drinks. read more

The taste range for most espresso is about the same for me, but I heard myself saying, "hey, this is good." The Art of a Darkness blend had notes of strawberry and cream.
