Came in for oil change early Saturday morning. The skinny I usually get most of my appointments early in the morning so I can enjoy my day and it helps to get you in and out. I has my appointment at 715 am and noticed that it was already real busy no prob I have an appointment. I pull up to service area and I am met with a not so friendly lady asking how she can help I let her know that I have appointment for oil change. She then asks who the appointment was with as I was not told a name from lady I set appointment with I told her I didn't know, she gave me a little look and asked if I knew the last name on account (nice little jab) I said I do and gave her my info and I apologized for not having info as it was not given to me she turned around said that's fine and walked away without telling me where she was going or what I should do. After about a minute and several nice people asking if I have been helped passed by me, a nice gentleman came by introduced himself, shook my hand and let me know my eta, and where I can wait and other things he could offer he was very nice and well spoken. I waited in tree beautiful waiting area where they had magazines and the news playing along. The free wifi made time fly and I was out in about an hour and a half not bad. Overall this place deserves 3 1/2 stars not 3 but they don't deserve 4 stars in my opinion the first person I speak with should be as nice as the last person I speak with. After communicating with Rianna for 3 days, we set-up an appointment for 10AM on Sunday to look at a certified pre-owned Toyota Camry . I showed up at 10:02AM, and after waiting for 15 minutes, I was informed that Rianna was not in. A different salesperson (middle-aged redhead female) took over, and we proceeded to look for a vehicle of my choice, but it was not there either and not because someone else purchased it, it had never been on the lot. She suggested looking at a different Toyota Camry to which I agreed, even though I did not conduct any research on that particular vehicle. After looking at the vehicle to determine its condition (excellent, very good, good etc), the dealer started to up-sell me a new vehicle. I politely declined explaining as to why I am pointing these things out before making a $18-20k transaction, and we proceeded inside of the car. Because this was a used car, my next question was "Can I plug in my OBD-II code scanner?" She immediately said, "Yes, you can do whatever you want." She then exits the vehicle and storms inside of the facility. Before I could even read the codes, a young punk of a manager hastily approached the vehicle, almost ripped the door off and demanded, "What are you doing?! You cannot scan for codes!" -Alright, we'll just shop elsewhere then - I responded -That'll be perfect - said the manager (Bravo!) As a side note, one should scan for codes to see if a used car owner is trying to pull a fast one on you, i.e. clearing the check engine light, disabling it etc. It is a standard procedure and other dealerships never had a problem with me doing it for the peace of mind. Anyway, we exited the vehicle and went towards our car. On the way there, that salesperson tried to up-sell a new car once again. Two days later, I received an email from Rianna "Oops, we missed you on Sunday" Was the situation handled professionally? Could the salesperson have said, "let me ask my manager first"? My husband and I recently purchased 2019 Toyota 4-Runner from Duarte Olivera. We have to commend him for making this process absolutely painless specially after our experience with another dealership the day before. He was extremely patient with us as we were trying to arrive at a decision on which vehicle we would be happy with, as we inspected and test drove a Tacoma and 4-Runner. And we did not expect to purchase the 4-Runner that was on the showroom floor but that was what we ended up with. The negotiation was not a nightmare which we expected and we ended up with a figure we were satisfied with. Thoroughly disappointed in this location and likely will never have any of my family or extended family go to Camelback Toyota again. We all are a Toyota family, have a total of 5 Toyota vehicles and will be happy to take our business elsewhere. It states with a call to the parts department to get a quote and 25 minutes later, on hold and no one coming back to check on me, let me know I am not forgotten, let me know they are busy. My call was about 8:15 AM so not too sure how busy they were but communication would have taken care if it. So, I hang up to call back to see if I could get my answer a different way or to find out just how busy they were so I could determine if I need to call back later in the day. The receptionist answers the phone with a general greeting; no introduction so I had to ask with whom I was speaking with? What was her name, so I have points of reference; She says "well I don't know who I am speaking with" in a unprofessional tone. Tone, voice represent 38% of communication and it wasn't so much what she said though she should have no hesitation in identifying herself but how she also said it. I responded with well I am a customer and am I am frustrated with a 20-25-minute hold with no communication. She responds with well I'm the receptionist. I clearly know she is the receptionist; I wanted a name for points of reference. She didn't want to provide anything. I ask to speak to a manager, supervisor, someone, and she transfer me to a voicemail. I call callback to get the same person and again no greeting, so I explain to her that I want to speak to a live person; she places me on hold about 5 minutes then sends me back to the same voicemail after asking to speak to a live person. I hang up and call back to get to another department and get Tony in the Service Department. I explain to him my frustration and ask to speak to someone of higher authority due to my frustration. I appreciate him attempting to try and help me look for the part I was originally inquiring about but I asked to speak to a manager. I asked him for the receptionist's name to which he said he didn't know it, that she was new. Ok. He said he will have his manager Brian call me back today, but that Lorenzo in Parts Department would help me with the part. Lorenzo was great, thank you Lorenzo. It is now 11:00 as I write this, and we will see if I get that call from Brian. Brought in my car and was told it would be about 2 hours. I went to ask a few minutes after the two hour mark passed how much longer it would be. "Sergio" who was less than pleasant said it wasn't ready and couldn't (or wouldn't) even give me an estimate of how much longer I had to wait. He basically brushed me off as he took out his cell phone to take a call. I was left there standing like an idiot with no info as far as the status of my car. Waited nearly another hour before my wife went to ask again. Fortunately, Trishia was 110% more helpful than the jerk I asked before. She apologized for the wait and gave us an approximate time. That's all the first person had to do. Some people go above and beyond to help customers and give good service, while others go above and beyond to act like cretins. read more

Worst experience ever, when we showed up the sales guy was very friendly, when we were doing the sale the manager seemed almost bothered, she was rude and very dismissive. My parents offered 3k under asking price they wanted to pay it cash the manager almost laughed and said "what makes you think you can have that price, stating they loose nothing on it when financing" I told her look it was just a question an offer you don't have to be rude about it she almost rolled her eyes. The whole time it felt so uncomfortable to be honest!.. We got warranty on the truck only to find out the doors did not lock. Took it in, they said they fixed it and had to take it back, charged my dad 700 and something, after telling us it was a miss understanding to give them the card # over the phone so they can refund the money charged since it is under warranty, they charged them again!. Been on the phone for the past 40mim trying to get a hold of someone and they just keep transferring me.. NEVER AGAIN will we buy a vehicle from that toyota dealership.. read more

I took my 2012 Tacoma in to have a paint issue address that was a factory defect. The first customer service rep was helpful and courteous and sent me to the Camelback body shop to get an estimate. The representative at the body shop was also very helpful and told me that he had repaired 5-6 cars with the same issue and it would be under the warranty. After he gave me the invoice I took it back to the dealership to finish the process and they said it needs to go to the manager to get the final approval but assured me of the process and even the rental car coverage the dealership would provide. About 4 days later I got a call back saying the request had been declined because it was caused by external sources. I set up a meeting to come into the dealership and meet with the managers to discuss it further but the VP was arrogant and said the issue was not from the dealership. You would expect someone in his shoes to be respectful but that was not the case. He also mentioned if I wanted to dispute it with Toyota it would be back upon his desk for the final decision so it would not be worth my time. When I mentioned the body shop reps comments he assured me he didn't know what he was talking about. (You would expect a body shop expert would know more about spotting paint issues than a back office stuck-up business man.) He then called the rep and asked him to repeat what he told me from over about 2 weeks ago on speakerphone with the VP, GM and his personal boss on the line. Big surprise, the body shop rep didn't remember talking to me and denied saying he had seen the issue before. To sum it all up, they decided it was my fault the paint was failing on a year and a half old truck and the misinformation was poor customer service from the 2 people I talked to. I will continue to take my truck to a Toyota dealership to have it serviced but I will never again take it to Camelback Toyota. Their upper management is terrible and they do not stand behind their employees or the Toyota name. read more

I bought a 2018 Camry from this place new. They have been calling me nonstop recently, trying to buy my car for a trade in. I was not interested and I finally decided to entertain the idea. I was trying to negotiate with the person in charge of the negotiations and that person claimed the were "too busy" and "everyone wanted to work directly with them", and continued to refuse to work directly with me. I didn't want someone to be the middle man in my negotiations. They kept insisting I making a semi permanent commitment to buy that night (before talking to my husband) before they would start working with me (through the middle man). All I wanted was something to take home to discuss w my husband and chances are I would have bought. They are clearly not interested in buying/selling if it's on their terms. I don't work like that. I wasted a lot of time and mileage on this for nothing. I left so frustrated... for gods sake THEY INVITED ME! I don't "need" a new car!! It's a backwards way of doing business and I'm so disappointed. In 2018 when I bought my Camry it was completely different and no hustle. This was the first time ever that my experience was stressful and unprofessional at a dealership. When I arrived I was greeted by an employee named Xavier. At first he was nice and communicated well with my husband and I. Once we purchased the vehicle I thought everything was great. Mind you I provided 3 paystubs and proof of address (literally the only things I've ever provided to a dealer). Well the next day I get maybe 4 missed calls from him now saying they need bank statements (3 months) I'm like ok? I thought the deal was closed....however I provided 3 months of statements and was told everything is okay now. The next day after this I get maybe 4 more missed calls saying now they need a W2 and an additional 3 months of statements. Now I start to get frustrated. First I was told the deal was okay...then I need to provide more paperwork. I hated the back and forth crap. To make matters worse xavier was extremely rude and would literally argue with me on the phone. It got to the point where he was harassing me 7-10x a day. I had to block his # because of the constant phone calls. I got so frustrated that I actually went down there and spoke with the director of used cars and the director of finance. Once speaking with them they were able to finally close the deal with the 3 stubs I initially provided!!!. Let's just say this was by far the worst experience I've had with a dealership. read more

Got a great car from these guys, but no thanks to them. I flew in from out of state to buy a once in a lifetime used car (2002 Mazda Protege5 with 10,400 miles). After being pre-approved for a loan I was told that everything would be ready to go and we would be able to quickly get the car back on the road to California. Well, when we got to the dealership, we found out that none of the paperwork was actually ready. I then had to sit with the salesperson and go through each contract/bit of info individually and watch him screw each thing up despite having already had my information for at least a week before I arrived. He almost literally did everything wrong, from my name, to my address and contact info. He also lost all of the paperwork that I had sent him prior to my arrival. If that isn't enough, once we finished everything and submitted it to the finance department we discovered that there was a mistake made (by them) on how long I had been with my current employer. This mistake was so large that it may in fact have prevented me from getting my loan at all. Unfortunately, because it was New Year's Eve day, non of the finance companies were available to find out. So the dealership had to spend several hours hemming and hawing over whether or not I could take the car because they weren't sure if they could get the loan (which just for the record is highway robbery and one of the worst loans I have ever seen or heard of for how good my credit is. Thank god for refinancing.) Eventually it was decided that I could take the car and they would try to push the loan through, but not before another round of contracts and paperwork. I agreed and started the process of receiving the car only to find the "manager" who stepped in to help because of all the delays was one of the most rude and condescending people I have ever met. Any question I had about the contract was met with responses like "what do you expect, you came in here on New Year's Eve and there is no one here that can get this information". I'd like to note that the reason I was there on New Year's Eve is because that's when THEY requested I come in. Despite his flat-out refusal to give me information I needed, I eventually sorted this all out and finally got on the road. All told, I was at the dealership from 10AM to 8PM. The final bit of icing on the cake is that the dealership decided to ignore the contract I signed with them and deposit the remaining check for the down payment of my car 5 days early. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. They obviously have a lot of inventory, but unless there is a car that is somehow completely unique, it is not at all worth dealing with all of the failings of the sales people, management, finance department, etc. Luckily for me the car turned out better than I had hoped, but that was absolutely no thanks to them. Back in 2008 I bought a car and was really disappointed in the customer service. Steven Davis helped me sign the paperwork for my vehicle. After signing, I was unable to find the exit doors since someone had turned off the lights in the showroom. I guess since I was the last customer. I asked Steven where the exit doors were. He said " in the same place you came in." I finally found the doors and got into my new car. I noticed there was hardly any gas in the tank. The following day I explained the gas situation with someone and he said "we'll fill it half way." Based on my experience the service department has some integrity issues. My Tacoma had an intermittent starting problem . Started replaced, problem continued. After several return trips battery/starter cable replaced and problem fixed, however the service department would not refund $$$ for unnecessary starter repair. At time of cable repair a vacuum tube was disconnected and 4 Wheel Drive stopped working. I almost paid lots of $$$ for the recommended replacement of the 4 WD unit but was suspicious of Camelback Toyota. Another mechanic in a different shop showed me the disconnected vacuum hose, reconnected tube and 4 WD working again. I went back to Camelback Toyota to explain why I was not going ahead with their recommended 4WD repair - hoping for someone to come clean about their devious business practice -- but no one would admit to it. I decided that I wanted to replace our 2008 Toyota Sienna with a newer model. We have loved our Sienna, so there is really no question about what we want to replace it with. I went into Camelback Toyota to see what they could do. I was in the mood to make a deal, trade my old Sienna for a new one, and drive off the lot with a 2014. I explained that I was looking for a 2014 Sienna to replace my 2008. He pointed me to a number of vans that met my criteria, and we went for a quick drive. During the test drive I explained in no uncertain terms that I was a serious buyer, and I wanted to see what they could do. It wasn't about color, brand or reliability. I had done my research. It was all about the numbers. Make the numbers work, and we'll have a deal. I was in a money-spending mood, and it should have been pretty easy for us to get to "yes!" After I had explained clearly that it was all about the numbers, my young salesperson comes back with a set of numbers that were about $10,000 more than where they should have been. My money-spending mood evaporated! After praising Toyota's high resale value over and over again, he offered me $3,000 less than what they would pay for the same vehicle at a wholesale dealer's auction. Needless to say, at that point there was little they could do to sell me. They took my young friend out of the negotiations and sent a very friendly lady to help me grasp that I needed to "offer something realistic." By the time I walked out the door, the friendly lady had come within $246 of my target price (amazing how they found room to come down almost $10,000 from the original numbers!). But I didn't feel like spending money there anymore. If you have not done your homework, be prepared for Camelback's sales force to do their best to separate you from as much of your money as they can. Recognize that their offer for your trade may be a ridiculous lowball, and their initial price for the vehicle you want to buy may be thousands of dollars more than what you should pay. Be careful! If you have done your homework and are an informed buyer, be prepared to still have to negotiate diligently to get the deal you want. I hope my experience can help you. Good luck! read more

I've never purchased a vehicle from Camelback but I love their service department. They are really great! I've been taking my 4Runner here since I got it, 2 years ago. They have never pressured me in to unnecessary work and I've never felt like I was being taken advantage of. I also really like their waiting area, it's clean and comfy and they have great coffee. I will continue using Camelback for my service even though I have to drive pretty far and there's another dealership 5min. from my house. read more

My experience has been with their service department, and I go there even though I'm considerably closer to at least one other Toyota dealership. They've been very responsive, they get service done quickly, and their prices for both service and parts are fair, despite being dealership prices. I went in to take a look at an 04 Nissan Xterra that Camelback had listed for sale. It was late on a Friday night, and even though they were close to closing, they were very nice and personable. We were shown the car by Marcus, who even though had only been there for a short while, was incredibly nice and accommodating, repeatedly offering us water and being an all-around good host. Anything he didn't know about the car, he was very up front and said "I don't know, but I'll find out for you", and proceeded to get the answers rather than just tell us a lie. The car itself was exactly as advertised. Whoever details their vehicles did an amazing job, as it was almost looking brand new. The financing department were kind and didn't push us too hard. We told them how much we were looking to spend on a monthly payment and they found a couple different options of getting it close to that mark. They offered warranty packages and when we declined them, they didn't get indignant or upset. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars, was that they were supposed to call me Monday after the sale to let me know exactly which bank had financed my loan. By Wednesday, they hadn't called me, and I had made a few calls to the financing department to find out what was going on without any replies. Fortunately, Marcus called Wednesday afternoon to see how the car was doing and after telling him about the financing situation, he was able to find out the answer and call me back within 10 minutes. Marcus definitely deserves credit for his customer service both on the sale, and the followup. read more

Honestly, the WORST customer service. Went in to check out a deal to lease a vehicle based off of an advertisement that was sent to us directly for being "valued/ repeat" customers. Our salesman was inappropriate and was only interested in getting me to sign on the dotted line but could not explain where he came up with money down, when the advertisement tailor made for us said ZERO down except the $1200 dealer fees. I walked out after being blocked in by the salesman. We received a phone call from a manager two days later who basically said we didn't know how to read and that they charge the sales tax up front. If that is true, why is the monthly payment also taxed? The manager kept talking over us, kept insinuating we didn't understand the flier, although it's in black and white and I even offered to send it. She said she would look into it and call back. Never did she call back. I called two days in a row and was promised that a hand delivered note be walked by Randy, to the general sales manager to call me back that day. Did not get a call. I called today and spoke with my salesman who first wanted to argue about transferring me to a manager then when I insisted, kept taking me off hold to listen to my conversation with my boyfriend and even responded a couple of times to what I was saying. The salesman finally transferred me to manager Luise, who asked me to email him the advertisement. I did said he would call me back and NEVER DID!!! He hung up on my boyfriend and refused to honor his commitment to me, the person who was trying to talk to him. I don't understand how a dealership treats customers who drive 100 miles just to get their car serviced by you, and are repeat customers of yours, like complete garbage. You sent the advertisement then wanted me to put minimum $2000 down on a car that said ZERO down for 36 months, $379 a month plus tax... in order to get $379 a month, I would have had to put $5k down. But the ad said ZERO down! And no one at Camelback can explain it or honor it. You are liars, scammers and I WILL be contacting the BBB with regards to your false advertisement! You snaked us in the door and couldn't even explain it. And no longer will we be taking our vehicles to you or buying from you. The BBB will be contacted about this. read more

I'll keep it short and simple because I don't normally spend a lot of time leaving feedback on places, especially when it was an unpleasant experience. I went to help my mother pick out a toyota there was a language barrier on her end so for her to have a better experience I went with her. Long story short jessie one of the team leaders talked numbers and was very dishonest and un direct of the whole situation. I understood what he was saying and had him write it out on paper to see we were both on the same page. The dishonesty is one problem the second was that they tried to put the blame on me as a customer that I was the one who misunderstood when even the dealer who helped us out said he was in the wrong, regardless we didn't end up signing the final papers. How are you gonna lie say you're partnered up with state farm and then run someones credit for capitol one? something that was never mentioned at all. Would personally never recommend the worst part is that they don't hold there employees accountable to the mistakes they make you must have a really big ego to try and reverse the problem onto someone else. Who knows how many spanish speaking customers they have screwed over because of their lack of transparency and taking advantage of people not being aware. This review is on their service center. After having a couple of poor experiences at the Toyota closer to my home, I decided to try this location early last year. This is the best service I've ever received from a Toyota Service center. I feel that they have always been upfront and very honest about the services needed/recommended. They have a large, beautiful and CLEAN waiting area. I love how I can book online or contact a specific service adviser. I usually opt to wait, which can be lengthy at times, but that should be a given on Saturdays. They have shuttle services - I've noticed a lot of people take it to the nearby mall. If I get restless, its a short walk to Starbucks, Zoe's Kitchen, or Chik-fil-A. I will definitely miss this place when I move. read more

In time I noticed that the front bumper was becoming uneven from the rest of the body and after carefully looking at it, it was repainted once. Called Cole about my a/c being put and he said they'd take a look. It ended up being a major repair because of something I ran over, but he suggested calling my insurance and essentially saved me $1500. On rope of that my warranty covered my battery that was running down and the filters on my engine and a/c. My brake pads were down to nothing but I knew that so had term fix it and my wipers which were a decent enough price. On top of everything it was supposed to take four hours for diagnostics and repair, it took two and he gave the car a wash! You guys are awesome!! read more

The last time I wrote a review for Camelback was when I bought my car from Jake Mooberry. I left a 5 star review then, and am back to do it again. I've been bring my Corolla for its routine service since I bought it, and always had good care but his last visit was EXCEPTIONAL. I had the pleasure of working with West Ballard. My care was due for a 30,000 mile inspection, and West told me about extending my previous Toyota Care package to 45K, and saved me some serious cash. But that's not the good part. I drove the car away and stopped for dinner, and when I came out the car was dead cause lights were on and then there was issue with my roadside assistance...I'll save you all the details, but in short---- West helped me get my car taken back to the dealership, got it fixed, and even got my Zaktec updated since it was in anyway. All at no cost or hassle to me. He gave me frequent updates throughout and was totally in my corner. I really felt like he was treating me like a family member. He even said, and I believe, he went home that night and thought about what else he could do to make the best of a bad situation. And it was perfect. West is the best!!!!! read more

Overall, an experience that is usually annoying went much smoother than expected, enjoyable even. I've been eyeing a very specific 2016 Trail 4 Runner and between Jim and Lauri we were able to make a deal and go home very happy campers.
