I bought my son his first truck; It was a 2017 Toyota Tundra, 4X4 SR5, for a lot of money. So I thought I had a good truck with the Toyota warranty and Toyota reliably. That is not what happens; they are rusty trucks with parts that are un save and falling apart. I tried to get the car back and fix it, but the service writer said that they do not cover rust. I called and called, and still, no one could help me. So I called Toyota HQ to submit a complaint request about the dealership. I spoke with Katrina Coscarelli, the dealership's Customer Relations Manager, and Bobby Krotonsky, Service Director. After about 30 mins of back and forth came down, will they replace the rusted parts. Bob said NO! They were rude; they both cut me off when I was talking, talked over me generally acted like F-off and too bad. So please down-buy any cars from them; they will sell you something that is rusted out and sucks. They know it, and they do not care, and it is three you will be replacing all your parts for about $5,000. read more

We spent a few hours with Tony and Brandon our sales guys and they really worked to make sure we got the best deal we were happy with even after the truck we initially wanted was sold right under their noses by another ambitious sales kid. Parts department was an absolute joke. Took me ten minutes to get the man to understand I wanted factory 2014 Toyota 4Runner windshield wipers. (Seems simple.) He then brings out the wrong kind after another 10 minutes in the back. I explain to him once again that I came from across town to get factory windshield wipers.. Carlos goes back to get the right ones and doesn't come back! Flew into Phoenix from the San Francisco Bay Area for a few days and set up a rental car here . Only a $10 Uber from the airport !! Claire , in the TRAC dept was such a pro and so efficient ! Took care of everything via email (responded immediately to all my questions ) and once there at the dealership , I was driving off in my nice and clean 2016 Tacoma rental within minutes of arrival ..Spouses are also free to drive , bonus ! Dealership itself is fantastic with lots of smiling faces and lounge areas and awesome massage chairs ...But Claire Ravert is the real star ! I had my car serviced here recently. I was pleased I could have the appointment time I wanted with only a few days' notice. My attendant was courteous, professional, and respected my decisions regarding my car maintenance. I had two quibbles regarding my recent visit: #1 - When they called with the inspection results and suggested additional maintenance, they gave me an expected time of completion. When there was a delay, they didn't call me so I showed up at the expected completion time and my car wasn't ready for about another 90 minutes. #2 - They washed my car but there were still spots on the hood from a recent bird bombing. I came in thinking I wanted a cute orange munchkin (Prius C) only to come to grips with the reality, my orange crush was a serious mismatch for the car's usefulness with respect to my work. The dealership supported Trapp's desire to help me acquire a more appropriate choice by allocating a generous trade-in value for my car and by disclosing Toyota's mandate to offer a rebate for my paying for the car versus financing it. I was thoroughly irked when I realized that a different Toyota dealership felt justified in ignoring the Toyota's rebate mandate. We are talking about $1,000! Kent Trapp taught me to pair my dumb phone with the car's Blue Tooth and introduced some additional "fun" features of my vehicle AFTER the sale had been completed. Trapp is intelligent and sensitive to specific car issues. He did not hesitate to have a beeping feature modified by their service department. Worst dealership ever!!!! I got a used 2020 car back in December and the battery is completely dead!!! The car is a shit show now. I called the service department and all they do is transfer you to other team members. Then I requested to speak to a supervisor and the rude gentleman hung up!!!!!!!! I called back a third time and no apologies were given towards me and no help. I asked about my warranty and all Robert could provide me is a number to the warranty partnership which was closed!!!!! I'm in shock that this is how they treat their customers. Also the salesman will make you sit for hours just to come back with a price that is out of your budget!! They are not straightforward and only want the sell. I recommend Riverview Toyota! Much better service provided to me. I would give 0 stars if possible. First off, the carfax report we were shown at purchase does not match the carfax report they are claiming we signed. We did not receive a copy of the report we signed in our contract - how convenient for them. We then went in to trade the vehicle in we purchased from Toyota. Signed a new contract, went through financing and got all of our belongings into the new vehicle. As we were about to drive away, the sales guy ran out to advise that they "F-ed up AGAIN" and said "I can't make this stuff up". The car that we signed a contract for was sold earlier that day and had already left the lot!!!! We signed for a 2021 4runner- almost left in a 2020 4runner!!! To top it all off... they had us apply for a toyota credit card for downpayment and maxxed it out at $1500...haven't refunded the credit card so we are now liable for paying off the $1500 credit card for a vehicle we do not have. When we call or go in for resolution, managers and supervisors refuse to speak with us! read more

I made my appointment yesterday for 9am today to address a recall. I get there and was told that my appointment had accidentally been booked for yesterday (no idea how they were even able to make an appointment after the start time had already passed). They got me in anyways but never apologized or took responsibility for the mistake. They then tell me that it will be 2 to 2.5 hours until my car is done. I was a little annoyed that such a small repair would take so long, but I didn't complain and happily walked around the area, did some shopping, etc. I come back around the 2 hour mark and wait in the cafe area- 2.5 hours rolls by and no word on my car. I finally get a text that my "complimentary inspection" was completed so I go to my assigned person and she tells me that something else is wrong with with my car, which I know for a fact is not an issue, as I took it to my mechanic yesterday. Surprise- Toyota is prepared to fix the nonissue for their premium fee! I say no and ask if I can leave- she says the car is "almost done" and that I'll receive a text when it is. I wait another 30 minutes, never get a text, but see my car outside so I go back and ask to leave. She has me sign some docs, gives me the key, and never apologizes for the fact that I waited an entire hour longer than their quoted wait time. Awful customer service that seems to have infected all areas of this Toyota location. This has been such an unnecessarily tedious experience (it should've neen such a simple recall to fix in the first place!) that it's actually made me question whether I'll ever get another Toyota. read more

On July 4th around 7:50 PM I drove looking for a truck from their side lot and one of their employees wanted to be funny by closing and locking the gate leaving me there unable to get out of the parking lot. As a business this is the most disrespectful thing they can do to a customer! I walked to their main lobby and I saw the same guy who locked me with a smirk among other employees. I hope a manager or someone higher is able to do something in this case. I had all the intention of getting a toyota as I was a previous customer but with this kind of funny games I will NEVER return to this place. New to town. Dropped off my RAV4 for its 50,000 mile service-basically an oil change and tire rotation. Camelback recommended an alignment, new battery, brake fluid change and fuel service so I said go ahead. Well, those services were performed competently but when I picked up my car the radio was dead. Now, when I dropped off my car there was nothing wrong with it. At first the service manager didn't want to accept responsibility for the flashed radio. Eventually he did. While Camelback did make it right-the radio was RNR'd at no cost to me-it wasn't easy to get them to accept responsibility for destroying my radio. Be very careful dropping your car off for service with Camelback especially if you have out of state plates and an out of state address. Not sure I'll be going back. read more

I came for an appointment and was greeted nicely. I was coming for warranty work and an oil change. Then I was told an oil change is $60, it's free if you want to wait til 10,000 miles, I wasn't told that when I made an appointment. Then after two hours they tell me they have the part they need and it'll be done today. Another hour later I get a call saying they have to order the part. I wasted half a Saturday for absolutely nothing. Lastly Rick the service manager calls me to try to address my complaint. This review is specifically for Ruben in Retail Parts- I'd just had new wheels and tires installed at a dedicated tire store, and the techs there could not get my Tacoma's spare tire to winch down to replace it with the new wheel and spare- they weren't familiar with the keyed security tools Toyota provides and the Tacoma is new to me so I'm not familiar with them either. Since a pro tire shop couldn't figure it out, I assumed the keyed tool didn't fit or something was broken, so I swung by the dealership looking to resolve things. Ruben came out to look at my truck, getting underneath it on the screaming hot concrete in slacks and a polo shirt in 110°. After talking with a couple techs, we figured out the issue and Ruben gave me a hand removing the old spare and winching up the new spare wheel/tire. Ruben proved to be a super effective salesman too, as he noticed I didn't have an OEM Toyota bed mat, so I made sure to show my appreciation for him going above and beyond by purchasing one. Super satisfied customer here, and a Camelback employee secures a small sale w/ excellent customer service and eagerness to help out. Thanks Ruben! As an owner of several Toyota vehicles (one over 45 years old) Camelback's parts team is well-educated and knows how to find parts that Toyota still offers, but may not come up under a 'standard' search. Combined with Toyota's amazing level of interchangeability between years (there are parts from 1983 that fit vehicles from 1968) and having a good parts staff is essential. Camelback has these people. I have not used them for service, but when the need comes up, especially for an older Land Cruisers, I will use them. In addition, if you know your part number, their online portal is perfect and the prices are as good as they get. Easy to hit the right dollar amount for free shipping too. I know of more than a few vintage Toyota guys that don't live in Phoenix (or Arizona), but will source parts from Camelback Toyota. read more

I would not recommend this dealership if you have other options. My buying experience was poor. An unfortunate accident left my car totaled and I had a specific car in mind which they happened to have, leaving me pigeon-holed. I needed a new car fast to transport my family. While trying to negotiate a fair price both the salesman (Chris Williams) and the "finance team" wouldn't budge. They gave the old "we won't make money" scheme as well as the "our internet price is the lowest we can do" Added tons of add-ons too including the Zakteck Paint scheme which they wouldn't remove. Larry in finance was a complete jerk once I didn't opt for the extended warranty, and called me two days later because apparently he was too busy being a jerk to get all the signatures and info he needed from me. Jager was nice to chat with while I waited but unfortunately as the experience went sour was not around. I also came in with a rental and was buying alone and expressed a request for help returning it which my salesman said he would help with but of course didn't follow through. After filling up my tank in my new car the sales person asked me if I could drop him off at home, he lived right across the street from the dealership. He was also visibly annoyed to be there so late (the process took hours) and that I asked for the spare key. For a company the claims to care about customer service this experience really missed the mark. I would have walked if I hadn't been desperate and I'm sure they caught that and took full advantage. Excellent car buying experience. Mark Dockz is refreshingly candid and did not try to any of the sleazy sales techniques you encounter at other dealerships. He took his time and did not rush either of us at all, even though we may have had a lot of questions. He stayed past closing to hook up my girlfriends phone to her car so she would feel comfortable with every detail. He even explained every button on the dashboard. He never once seemed annoyed that he was helping us past close and went out of his way to ensure comfortability down to the very last minute. I only had one concern and the GSM (could be the wrong acronym) Mark quickly addressed it. A little while back I made the mistake of stopping in to a different Toyota Dealer in Scottsdale. Horrible experience that made me consider leaving the brand all together (I have owned three Toyotas consecutively). I saw that Toyota was running a special and reached out to Camelback via email. I expected to receive a vague reply trying to coax me to come in to the store ASAP! But Ty Boettcher was awesome. We actually had an email exchange go back and forth for a few days regarding what I was looking for, a rough estimate on my trade (based on miles and model - not overall condition of car which he needs to see in person), an idea on numbers, and getting all of my questions answered BEFORE I even set foot in the dealership. Made the whole process so much easier. The car I was looking for was limited, so Ty emailed me as soon as he had what I wanted available. I stopped in that afternoon, got an appraisal on my trade (which WAS in the range he gave me a ballpark on), test drove the new car, finalized some numbers, signed papers, and was OUT. Ty was super patient with me seeing that I had two small kids in tow (and that meant taking car seats on the test drive which is a pain). He was just fantastic to work with. Ryan in finance was also wonderful. I told him upfront that I didn't want any of the add ons or extras regarding packages and such. He respected that and only threw out one option that he highly suggested for a lease vehicle. Which I did take, because small kids + cars = mess and marks. And it was an extra $3 a month. Buying a car is expensive no matter how you approach it. While these guys can't just give them away, they will do their best to work with you and make a deal happen. I give an A for effort. The odds where against us with buying our new car from this dealership. First , on the way to our appointment, traffic slowed to a crawl on the 10. Google maps estimated two hours to get from casa grande just to the chandler exist. We called to let them know we would be there, but late. I spoke to Bryant who was very nice and said he would see us when we got there. About 10 minutes later, still stuck in traffic, and contemplating on weather to somehow turn back , we get a call from Bryant letting us know the 2016 Highlander XLE we wanted to test drive sold. Bummer. But we are so happy he let us know before driving all the way there. He did tell us they would have new ones in stock in a couple of weeks. I have been having my 2005 4Runner serviced at Camelback Toyota for the last couple of years, very clean dealership and a friendly and courteous staff. (Warren Buffet should be proud) I love my vehicle and did not hesitate to spend $4000.00 when I was told that the cylinder heads and gaskets needed to be serviced. I noticed a rough idle after the service was performed and after 3 trips back to the service department over the last year it still idles very rough. I gave Camelback a good review because of their efforts and having owned several Toyotas over the years am writing this review in order to vent my frustrations concerning the rough idle. It's difficult for me to believe that in this high-tech age the problem cannot be resolved. This experience has shaken my confidence in the Toyota brand. read more

First we will preface this, I am in the sales industry. We know how this works. Initially I worked with Nick, great sales guy, honest, the gentleman I was willing to buy from. I showed up for my appointment and he was out sick. No big deal, sorry nick I still needed a car. From the moment I showed up to the dealership at 7am (before most of the sales staff) the atmosphere of my purchase had changed. After being assured the vehicle was available I was told it was still in transit and could not be sold until it arrived. Understood, they gave me my price out the door and refused to take a deposit from me. Weird. Rahaem assured me he would call me as soon as it arrived. Little did I know that camelback toyota is a dealership of thieves. After closing me on price (sticker with no discounts and NON NEGOTIABLE "optional" products) they text me to come on down. Lo and behold as I am on my way within 5min of getting that text I was informed that the vehicle had sold for $7000 dollars more than the price I had been quoted. I guess they found a sucker who they knew that they could rob of their hard earned money.. I can understand wanting to make money but to string a me along, to take me through the process, give me a price and then to pull the carpet out from under me with intentions to prey upon another customer is absolutely dishonest and predatory I'm sorry. To customers wanting to buy a vehicle here. Don't. There are dealerships with integrity and real salesmanship all over the valley. Stay away from camelback toyota, unless you enjoy being taken advantage of. I realize that camelback Toyota sees only dollar signs and not customers. I called Mikki to make an appointment to have my 2007 Toyota windows tinted. She did not return the call. I called again and her mailbox was full. The next day I called and she made an appointment for me and was told it would take about 3 hours. When I brought the car in, it took 4 1/2 hours. The next day I took my 2014 Toyota in to have the windows tinted. After 3 1/2 hours, I was told it was done and they were washing the car. Waiting 45 minutes more for the car, it never was washed. After returning home, I called to let Mikki know but could not leave a message as her mailbox was full. I called the service manager to let him know that I was displeased and left him a message - which was never returned. Not impressed with the service. read more

Purchased a 2012 Toyota Prius from this dealership. Carfax showed a accident had occurred in the past, and it turned out that they understated the severity of the accident. Also when I discovered that they had used very cheap paint and no sealer on the car and it began chipping almost immediately. I requested that they touch up the chips and seal the car and they refused. They really don't treat you that well during the sales process, and when you come back looking for them to make good on their shortcuts they pretty much ignore you and blow you off. Would definitely not recommend this dealership to anyone. read more
