West Ballard, my service representative goes above and beyond the call of duty to always be available to help me , no matter what I need. Buying my new car was an awesome experience. Kathy Stewart is an intelligent, efficient, non pressure salesperson who understood exactly what I was looking for, and made my wildest dreams come true. I bought a vehicle here and was happy with the buying process, the service department is a different story. Service department like's to waste your time. I came for an appointment and was greeted nicely. I was coming for warranty work and an oil change. Then I was told an oil change is $60, it's free if you want to wait til 10,000 miles, I wasn't told that when I made an appointment. Then after two hours they tell me they have the part they need and it'll be done today. Another hour later I get a call saying they have to order the part. I wasted half a Saturday for absolutely nothing. Lastly Rick the service manager calls me to try to address my complaint. He accused me of trying to get free service after expressing my experience with my last visit. Very unprofessional. Also forgot to remove service tag number from vehicle. read more

This review is specifically for Ruben in Retail Parts- I'd just had new wheels and tires installed at a dedicated tire store, and the techs there could not get my Tacoma's spare tire to winch down to replace it with the new wheel and spare- they weren't familiar with the keyed security tools Toyota provides and the Tacoma is new to me so I'm not familiar with them either. Since a pro tire shop couldn't figure it out, I assumed the keyed tool didn't fit or something was broken, so I swung by the dealership looking to resolve things. Ruben came out to look at my truck, getting underneath it on the screaming hot concrete in slacks and a polo shirt in 110°. After talking with a couple techs, we figured out the issue and Ruben gave me a hand removing the old spare and winching up the new spare wheel/tire. Ruben proved to be a super effective salesman too, as he noticed I didn't have an OEM Toyota bed mat, so I made sure to show my appreciation for him going above and beyond by purchasing one. Super satisfied customer here, and a Camelback employee secures a small sale w/ excellent customer service and eagerness to help out. Thanks Ruben! After reading some of the horror stories of when they were located at the old address, it seems that they've really stepped up their customer service in the new location! Today, I am a proud owner of a new Prius and I was very pleased with the staff at Camelback Toyota! My sales rep was Adam and he was friendly, helpful, considerate and not pushy in any way. Everyone was very nice and they even bought me lunch from Chipotle since there were no vegan options in their cafe. They were extremely helpful and I was quite impressed. The only reason I gave four stars is because of the wait to get into financing. I'm not sure of the exact reason for the hold up (something to do with additional information about my trade-in vehicle that they needed), however, once I got in there, we were done within 18 minutes - yep!). No high pressure to purchase additional warranties either - I politely declined and he quickly moved on. This location is much less intimidating because the managers sit out in the middle of the showroom floor and interact with the customers. Once in delivery, the Customer Service Manager came out and introduced herself (along with providing her contact information) should I need anything. Adam also provided his cell number should I have any questions about the car (as most new hybrid car owners do). All in all, the best car buying experience I've had yet! I didn't know shopping for car could this pleasant. Before going to Camelback Toyota, I had a horrible experience at another dealership. I definitely recommend seeing Trinh. My family and I felt that he cared about us finding the right car and getting us a good deal. When we got the car, he really took the time to explain all the features. We missed our normal dinner time while we were there and he was nice enough to buy my daughter snacks from the vending machine out of his own pocket. Camelback Toyota has really stepped up their game this past year! I wouldn't take my vehicle ANYWHERE else but here now. About three months ago I was reluctant to bring my sienna in due to past bad experiences here but my warranty stated I needed to bring to a dealership. I called and Cole Bauer answered from the service department. He immediately made a good impression and took care of me from the get go. He was honest and kept me updated throughout the waiting process. I highly recommend using Cole for your next service transaction! Yesterday my sienna didn't start so I didn't hesitate towing it to Camelback Toyota. I called and asked for Cole but it was his day off. Then I got a little worried. They put me through to Jon (didn't catch his last name). Again, Jon was awesome! Called me when they found out the problem and said the warranty company already gave them the green light to start the repair. Towed to shop around 1240, phone call from Jon at 330 and picked up at 5. Jon walked me through the repair and let me know about possible future repairs to think about. Ask for Jon or Cole for your next service as you can't go wrong with either. I have to also give props to management for hiring and training such great advisors. Seriously, I don't recall the last time I had a good experience with any dealership in the last 20+ years in AZ. Camelback Toyota is the best place in town to take your vehicle in for service. Camelback Toyota has gone the extra mile(s) to solve a very difficult problem for me on a 2016 Highlander. Just couldn't figure out how to fill the gas tank. Nobody could figure it out and we had a few initial problems before achieving success. I am grateful to the entire service crew, but special thanks to: Rick Fortner, Service Manager Alfonso De La Cruz, Service Drive Manager Brian Sterling, Service Advisor I can now fill that doggone gas tank til the cows come home! I would not recommend this dealership if you have other options. My buying experience was poor. An unfortunate accident left my car totaled and I had a specific car in mind which they happened to have, leaving me pigeon-holed. I needed a new car fast to transport my family. While trying to negotiate a fair price both the salesman (Chris Williams) and the "finance team" wouldn't budge. They gave the old "we won't make money" scheme as well as the "our internet price is the lowest we can do" Added tons of add-ons too including the Zakteck Paint scheme which they wouldn't remove. Larry in finance was a complete jerk once I didn't opt for the extended warranty, and called me two days later because apparently he was too busy being a jerk to get all the signatures and info he needed from me. Jager was nice to chat with while I waited but unfortunately as the experience went sour was not around. I also came in with a rental and was buying alone and expressed a request for help returning it which my salesman said he would help with but of course didn't follow through. After filling up my tank in my new car the sales person asked me if I could drop him off at home, he lived right across the street from the dealership. He was also visibly annoyed to be there so late (the process took hours) and that I asked for the spare key. For a company the claims to care about customer service this experience really missed the mark. I would have walked if I hadn't been desperate and I'm sure they caught that and took full advantage. Excellent car buying experience. Mark Dockz is refreshingly candid and did not try to any of the sleazy sales techniques you encounter at other dealerships. He took his time and did not rush either of us at all, even though we may have had a lot of questions. He stayed past closing to hook up my girlfriends phone to her car so she would feel comfortable with every detail. He even explained every button on the dashboard. He never once seemed annoyed that he was helping us past close and went out of his way to ensure comfortability down to the very last minute. I only had one concern and the GSM (could be the wrong acronym) Mark quickly addressed it. I choose Camelback Toyota for all my purchases and services and, based on our recent experience, plan to keep doing just that. read more

I have been having my 2005 4Runner serviced at Camelback Toyota for the last couple of years, very clean dealership and a friendly and courteous staff. (Warren Buffet should be proud) I love my vehicle and did not hesitate to spend $4000.00 when I was told that the cylinder heads and gaskets needed to be serviced. I noticed a rough idle after the service was performed and after 3 trips back to the service department over the last year it still idles very rough. I gave Camelback a good review because of their efforts and having owned several Toyotas over the years am writing this review in order to vent my frustrations concerning the rough idle. It's difficult for me to believe that in this high-tech age the problem cannot be resolved. This experience has shaken my confidence in the Toyota brand. read more

I called Mikki to make an appointment to have my 2007 Toyota windows tinted. She did not return the call. I called again and her mailbox was full. The next day I called and she made an appointment for me and was told it would take about 3 hours. When I brought the car in, it took 4 1/2 hours. The next day I took my 2014 Toyota in to have the windows tinted. After 3 1/2 hours, I was told it was done and they were washing the car. Waiting 45 minutes more for the car, it never was washed. After returning home, I called to let Mikki know but could not leave a message as her mailbox was full. I called the service manager to let him know that I was displeased and left him a message - which was never returned. Not impressed with the service. read more

First we will preface this, I am in the sales industry. We know how this works. Initially I worked with Nick, great sales guy, honest, the gentleman I was willing to buy from. I showed up for my appointment and he was out sick. No big deal, sorry nick I still needed a car. From the moment I showed up to the dealership at 7am (before most of the sales staff) the atmosphere of my purchase had changed. After being assured the vehicle was available I was told it was still in transit and could not be sold until it arrived. Understood, they gave me my price out the door and refused to take a deposit from me. Weird. Rahaem assured me he would call me as soon as it arrived. Little did I know that camelback toyota is a dealership of thieves. After closing me on price (sticker with no discounts and NON NEGOTIABLE "optional" products) they text me to come on down. Lo and behold as I am on my way within 5min of getting that text I was informed that the vehicle had sold for $7000 dollars more than the price I had been quoted. I guess they found a sucker who they knew that they could rob of their hard earned money.. I can understand wanting to make money but to string a me along, to take me through the process, give me a price and then to pull the carpet out from under me with intentions to prey upon another customer is absolutely dishonest and predatory I'm sorry. To customers wanting to buy a vehicle here. Don't. There are dealerships with integrity and real salesmanship all over the valley. Stay away from camelback toyota, unless you enjoy being taken advantage of. I realize that camelback Toyota sees only dollar signs and not customers. No one deserves to be treated in such an unprofessional manner. They have a strong veteran staff who are well-trained and seem to really love what they do. They have such a high volume of clientele, they can keep their prices low. But they do not lack in customer service. We live in Goodyear, but we happily make the trip out to Camelback Toyota for their exquisite service. Not to mention the facility is state-of-the-art. I priced around across the valley, and Moose came through better than anyone. He is more interested in making it a great experience than in getting every dollar out of you. As to service, I offer a not-so-good review. The service department could not resolve two issues that I asked them about. Costco figured these both out in minutes, and fixed each for under $25! I bought my car at this Toyota in 2010 and had the worste time with getting things fixed or repaired. There was always a problem and they always overcharged... That being said, I went there today to get my oil changed and Todd in the service center treated me better then I've ever been treated there. Explained that I had low pressure in one of my tires which caused the tire to be unsafe. He gave me a better quite for 4 tires then walmart and big of tires and made my car safe with some tires they had laying around. Honestly, they surprised the craps out of me. Purchased a 2012 Toyota Prius from this dealership. Carfax showed a accident had occurred in the past, and it turned out that they understated the severity of the accident. Also when I discovered that they had used very cheap paint and no sealer on the car and it began chipping almost immediately. I requested that they touch up the chips and seal the car and they refused. They really don't treat you that well during the sales process, and when you come back looking for them to make good on their shortcuts they pretty much ignore you and blow you off. Would definitely not recommend this dealership to anyone. read more

I was given a very fair price, the financing was fair and an easy process, and there was no annoying back and forth, "Let me go talk to my manager" that other dealerships have done. But, what made my experience go above and beyond, was working with Dean. He was extremely friendly, answered all of my questions, and patiently walked me through the entire process, including setting up my new vehicle, connecting it to my phone, and showing me how all the fancy bells and whistles work. Probably one of the worst service experiences I have had in a very long time. I asked very specific questions prior to bringing my vehicle in to get a battery replaced as I had a very busy schedule that day. I was assured the battery would be replaced at no cost under Toyota's warranty and in about an hour. When I arrived the experience seemed to go well. I was checked in fairly quickly, spoke to the service advisor who was friendly and again confirmed the battery would be replaced at no charge given the warranty (I provided the Toyota paperwork) and I would be sent a text message when ready. I decided to wait at the dealership. After 3 hours, I asked for the progress of my car and was told my advisor would get back to me. After another 40 min. I received a text saying it was ready. When I went to the service tech desk to get my car, he told me in fact my battery could not be replaced under the warranty. I would have to purchase a new one as they couldn't honor the Toyota warranty. He told me he was "sorry for any inconvenience". I asked to speak to the manager who was simply apologetic and told me to go to the other Toyota dealer where I bought the battery and get it replaced and said he would address this as a "training issue" with his service tech. He had no empathy for the fact that I waited almost 4 hours and checked in for a progress report and at no time did anyone say that they could not honor the warranty. The manager's only solution when I expressed my frustration with waiting almost 4 hours and been assured it would be replaced under the warranty was to offer to install another Toyota battery that I would have to pay for (at a 50% discount) and it would NOT be warrantied. Even though the battery I had was only 1.5 years old and still under Toyota warranty - and I had all the paperwork. I then drove out of my way to the other Toyota dealership - Riverview in Mesa - who replaced the battery and told me that Camelback could absolutely have honored the Toyota warranty. And they were able to provide a warranty on the new battery too. In total, it took 6 hours out of my day to replace a battery that was under warranty. I have since left a message for the GM of the Camelback dealership. I hope I get a response. Don't be fooled by their advertising as offering great customer service. You are better off going to another Toyota dealership that treats you like a customer they want to keep. read more

This dealership is nothing but cater to whoever pays the most. They use shady tactics and waist your time and money. They had me come in the day before a rav4 hybrid came in to do paperwork to ensure I would be the first person to get into finance because they are hot cars. The day the car arrived I was told to come down and wait for it to get off the truck. I waited over an hour and a half and Sean Neel swore the car hasn't arrived yet. 15 minutes late a woman comes out and tells me the car has been sold and it's been on the lot for over and hour. We were pissed. We worked with a sales person for weeks and came in early and did everything they said. They deliberately kept us from the vehicle so they could use it as a selling point to someone else. They made someone pay 6k over msrp is order to get the vehicle. Then they sent a 2 people out to "apologize" ask if we wanted to pay more than 6k to out buy the other person and get rid of us. They refused to acknowledge their bad business and said that is just how things are. That their team is too big to effectively communicate and it's not their fault. They have the audacity to have "champions of the customer" plastered on their wall. When we got there another woman was storming out because they made her wait 5 hours to do it the EXACT same thing to her. Literally nothing but liars and scum bags here. And that isn't even half of the shocking things they did. read more

Purchased a Certified Pre-Owned Corolla from here. First, was a terrible all day car buy even though we knew which car we wanted and the price they advertised. We walked in with THEIR own internet departments sale price which they would not honor. Tried to get us to pay for a "certification" fee $1500 because it was certified pre owned. Then the paint protection coverage $500, which they refused to take off(don't tell me that I know it can be removed my brother worked at a Toyota dealer). They conveniently "could not" find the car we came in to buy so they test drove us in similar models all the while trying to upscale us. When we finally reached a deal, they found the car and it wasn't even washed or ready. There was a hidden tear in the carpet underneath their paper floor mats. There were stains on the interior of the passenger roof, small scratches and paint chips and a dent we didn't notice until we got home. Months later, trying to get first service done...we were told that we get 12 months free service with the certified pre owned. Now they are not honoring that either. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE! read more

After 2 1/2 hours waiting with no contact I found my service rep, only to learn that not only was my car not done, but it had 4 cars ahead of it. What's the point of making an appointment? I got a feeble 'sorry for the delay' apology (what delay? this was a pure waste of my time). I won't return. Wish I would have saw these reviews before going to this dealership this past Sunday. I felt bullied into buying a Jeep I saw that was used. The car sales man John. T took my car keys and refused to give them back to me when they had to look at the miles on my trade in. I texted him to ask for my keys and he literally stopped replying to my text message and ignored me. I am a female and didn't have my fiancé with me so I'm sure this is why they continued to ignore my requests. I felt totally taken advantage of and when I tried calling yesterday the manager refused to return or take my calls and text messages. Today I got a call from Brandon. L the used car manager who I never even Talked to or saw called me and had the nerve to call me a liar when I told him I was not happy with this purchase and how the sales rep ignored my texts asking for my keys back before I signed any paperwork! This dealership is nothing short of amazing I worked with David Black and John Omalley. The team, the service, the follow through and commitment is nothing I have ever experienced before. I waited until all of the commitments the company promised was fulfilled before writing this review. I have bought so many cars and every single time I have made a car purchase someone messes up along the way so badly you end up having the worst taste in your mouth. This is the first time we didn't have that experience from the simple follow up phone call from David Black, to David making sure the tires, rims and lift kit was placed on the suv when we told him no one contacted us yet from the service department being very thorough and taking there time. Camelback Toyota advertises a '09 Tacoma on its website today (5/27/22). It's now also posted on "Auto Trader" for $19,748. I'm looking to purchase a Tacoma as my 16-year-old son's first vehicle. I went to look at the vehicle and a young sales lady asked if I'd like to take the vehicle for a test drive. She asked for my DL, after going through the tiresome spiel of wanting to know where I wanted my monthly payments at, etc. She states that she was going to get the keys. She comes back with a paper and immediately started in on financing. I explained to her that I'm already pre-approved and I'd like to look at the vehicle. She reports that they are bringing it up front. She leaves again and comes back wanting to write down the interest rate / terms the bank is financing me at. I explained to her that I'm my own financer; I'd be paying cash (cashier's check). She leaves and comes back and states that the vehicle has been sold. The saleswoman wanted to show me other vehicles. I had a buddy call the check on the vehicle's availability. The salesman who took over the call checked and told him that vehicle is still available. Is Camelback Toyota using this vehicle as "bait and switch" to get customers to come in? Not sure, but the young saleswoman VERY likely lost a sale. I was would have certainly purchased during that visit, if the vehicle was solid. Camelback Toyota not only lost a sale, but a future customer and negative word of mouth. read more

Recently, I sent an email to this dealership inquiring about the price of a Corolla Hatchback XSE. Dawn Stika quickly returned my email with breakdown prices information including MSRP, Invoice price, Dealer Cost, etc. Dawn is honest, friendly and helpful which made the car purchase a joy. In contract to Camelback Toyota, other Toyota dealerships in Phoenix and East Valley are still operating under the out-of-date system. Before I tried Camelback Toyota, I visited and contacted Earnhardt, Big Two, Riverview and Bell Road Toyota, none of the dealerships were willing to disclose the information for the dealer invoice and dealer cost. As a result, their prices were lot higher than Dawn quoted. Nowadays, new car price information is readily available on the net. I don't understand why these dealers want to hide it from the potential buyers. Toyota car buyers if you'd like a good price for the car you want and a pleasant buying experience, please give Camelback Toyota a try. read more
