We came on a Tuesday night post valentines weekend so it was slow but we came with a group to celebrate Galentines. The staff is friendly and attentive. Camelia is decorated like a modern Mexican restaurant. It's spacious and for valentines, it was decorated very cute. Sadly, several items were out but things I wanted were available so wasn't much of a bummer. The Enmolada Rosa and truffle Mac were so good. I don't know what the sauce was made of but it was delicious. If you can't handle hot food, this would be a good choice. It wasn't spicy at all. The Mac was full of cheese and enough to share between 2. Overall, presentation was pretty on point. When you finally find parking, be careful and wary. I had 2 crowd around near my car. I'm a bit unsure how to feel about this restaurant. We chose it for brunch because it had the latest bottomless mimosas in the city. Upon arrival, we all got bottomless mimosas and started sipping. Since we were the only ones there at the time, they even let us play our own music, which was a really nice touch and definitely added to the experience. We ordered lamb chops, ceviche, churros, guacamole, and the Croissant Azteca. Although everything was plated beautifully, most of the food was underwhelming. The lamb chops weren't cooked well and lacked seasoning, and the potatoes that came with them were bland. The ceviche was also lacking in flavor, which was disappointing because I love ceviche. The churros and guacamole were good, though, those are hard to mess up. The Croissant Azteca was the biggest letdown; it was essentially a croissant with eggs and peppers, very bland, and I ended up not finishing it. Regarding the bottomless mimosas, this place isn't truly bottomless. After a certain number of bottles, they stopped bringing more. I get it, they were managing a large group, and we can drink a lot, but if you advertise bottomless mimosas, there really shouldn't be a limit unless it's clearly stated on the menu. That was frustrating. On the positive side, the service was attentive and our server was very sweet. The decor is modern and stylish, with plenty of photo opportunities. They also have a stage, which I assume hosts live performances at times, which was another nice touch. Overall, the experience was a mix. I recently visited your restaurant with several coworkers to celebrate my birthday, and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. We arrived at approximately 7:30 PM and did not leave until 10:30 PM due to the extremely slow service. Considering that our group was one of the only parties in the restaurant that evening, we expected a much more attentive dining experience. Our server appeared unfamiliar with both the food and drink menus and was unable to answer several questions. Additionally, our drink order was only partially taken, and several beverages were forgotten altogether, requiring us to repeatedly follow up. The long wait times throughout the evening significantly impacted our celebration. When our food finally arrived, it did not meet our expectations in terms of quality or taste. I understand that every restaurant can have an off night, but this experience fell well below the level of service and quality we anticipated. My family and I recently came here for my graduation dinner on a Saturday evening, and while the aesthetic and atmosphere of the restaurant were really nice, the overall service experience was disappointing. Our server came across as unprofessional on multiple occasions from not fully knowing what was included in dishes (which I understand), to casually cursing when my food almost fell over, and even tapping my father on the shoulder instead of simply speaking up to him when bringing food over. Another thing that rubbed me the wrong way was how the staff handled my nieces. Since they were moving around a bit, the staff brought over crayons and scrap paper mid way through the dinner, which felt less like a kind gesture and more like an attempt to get them to sit down and stay quiet. This especially stood out because the restaurant was nearly empty besides our family. I tried to order a glass of Champagne and asked what kind they had and he ignored me. We ordered the Chilaquiles and it was cold, almost refrigerator cold. It also said on the menu that it came with eggs and we didn't get the eggs. The waiter claimed you had to tell them if you wanted eggs although it said it came with eggs. They just reopened! I had the chance to try a variety of their new dishes, and I'm just going to highlight my favorites. What I ordered: Tuetanos (bone marrow), pink enchiladas, pork shank, filet mignon with salsa macha mashed potatoes and vegetables, queso, salsas, octopus, prime rib, ceviche, lamb chops, mussel pasta, and a chocolate cake with the most incredible presentation. Drinks: Oaxaca old fashioned and a mezcalrita. Best bites: The filet was perfectly cooked medium-rare, and the truffle mac and cheese with asparagus made the ideal side. The pork shank was fall-off-the-bone tender and packed with flavor, while the rib eye chicharrones with guacamole were a 10/10. Also, the pink enchiladas were a delightful surprise! I had made reservations a couple weeks in advance but when we got there the table wasn't fully set. Shamelessly, I saw pics of this restaurant on IG and told my friends we needed to try it out! The space is beautiful and our server was fantastic. We started with the bone marrow and oysters. Food: we ordered the flight of salsa and bean dip, as well as the chips and queso They were all pretty good but I was shocked at how little of sauces they give you. It's literally about a half inch deep and maybe an inch and a half to 2 inches wide and they charge $10. The queso was pretty good, but not outstanding. We ordered the ceviche which was a generous portion, but had somewhat of a strong fishy which most fresh ceviche's will not have We also ordered the grilled veggies and New York strip The veggies were great. The New York strip seemed like it was done in a sous vide, but apparently it was not. It definitely had a weird texture to it and I know with absolute certainty I can make a 10 times better steak at home. I am sold! I have been looking forward to trying this place out (blame Instagram and TikTok) and so when we had a dinner meeting with friends and colleagues, I reached out for a reservation. For large parties, I emailed the email on their website and got a quick and easy response back. They can totally accommodate large groups which is great! When we walked in, the decor and ambiance was breathtaking. This place is BEAUTIFUL. The server told us that the owners actually took a truck to Mexico and brought back a lot of the decor including the very beach and absolutely beautiful guacamole bowls! That level of thoughtfulness shows! And then the presentation of the food was epic! They love their 24K gold foil. You can even get it on your steak! Love their signature drink with the aromatic bubble. Expensive but totally worth it. Want to try the Smoke Show drink next time. Their soda does come in cans (no fountain drinks so no free refills). Be warned. They have a decent selection of beers and wines also. Food wise: LOVE their version of free table chips- tostadas with fresh salsa and bean dip! Yum!!! Get the guac! Get the full size! Yes, add the chicharrones. Thank me later. The ceviche was to die for! Delicious and beautiful. I got the Emmolada Rosa. Beautiful but maybe not my absolute favorite. If you like spice, this dish may land flat (which is me). But if you aren't a fan of spice, it has some great subtle flavor profiles. The shrimp looked delicious! I think that's my next dish! The truffle mac and cheese may be one of the best things I've ever eaten but it's heavy and powerful. I would encourage people to share it as a side rather than making it a main course. Warning: the snapper is a whole fish. Delicious if that's your thing but not if you don't love seeing your food in its natural form. Desserts were our absolute fave! The churro cart was my fave. The theatrics of the chocolate ball are incredible (flavor was good too). We also got the corn cake which the flavors were really unique. Get this if you love cornbread! The service was also great. This new restaurant is bringing Mexican fine dining to Denver. CAMELIA, Modern Mexican Cuisine blew us away over the weekend and we're already planning our next visit. We arrived at CAMELIA and sat in the main dining room. The restaurant was gorgeous - think Latin American royalty. The bar was surrounded by royal blue velvet chairs & gold geometric shelves hung from the ceiling. There was a wall of greenery adorned with gold wings. The dining room tables were made of thick polished wood and had dark velvet chairs flanking them. The staff at CAMELIA were exceptional. Owner Camelia & Manager Alberto were gracious and welcoming; Alberto ensured our meal ran smoothly. Christian is one of our favorite Mixologists in Denver and he was whipping up magic behind the bar. Our server Victor was kind-hearted and had great recommendations. CAMELIA came to play with some dazzling cocktails. The Camelia was made with Reposado, raspberry rose shrub, & Naranja rose prosecco. A smoke bubble was delicately placed atop the champagne glass - lovely. The Smoke on the Water was made with Mezcal, Genepy, rhum agricole, and lime - served in a coup glass in a smoke-filled cloche. This was my favorite cocktail of the evening - smooth & fresh. Ross had the non-alcoholic Citrus Cooler made with Seed Lip Grove, pineapple, lemon, mint, simple, foam, & Topo Chico. For Apertivos we had Guacamole and the Ceviche. The Guacamole was made with avocado, queso fresco, pomegranate, cilantro and we added Rib Eye Chicharrón. The Rib Eye Chicharrón was simultaneously tender and crispy and paired beautifully with the creamy cool guacamole. The Callo de Hacha Ceviche was made with Leche de tigre, red onions, & baby radishes. This is the most authentic ceviche I've had in Denver. The ceviche had generous pieces of fish throughout and was seasoned with citrus and spices that added solid heat to each delicious bite. The Chips & Salsa were great. For Entrees we had the Enmolada Rosa and the NY strip. The Enmolada Rosa was made with pink mole, braised chicken, jocoque, queso fresco, & handmade corn tortillas. This was our favorite dish of the night! The enmoladas were drenched in savory pink mole and filled with tender chicken - so freaking tasty and a must order. The A La Carta 10oz Prime NY Strip. The NY strip had a robust meaty flavor. The Truffle Mac & Cheese was made with shell pasta, parmesan, breadcrumbs, & salsa macha. Hello cheesy goodness - the truffle mac & cheese was rich and the salsa macha chili oil added a subtle smokey heat that didn't overpower the parmesan. For Dessert we had the Churro Cart & the Mexican Chocolate Cake. The Churro Cart came with chocolate, lechera, & strawberry jam to dip the churros in. We loved the presentation here; the cart was so cute and the warm fresh churros were perfectly coated in cinnamon sugar. The Mexican Chocolate Cake was made with Cacao Tinitario and flambéed tableside. Who doesn't love a dessert with flair? This dessert was decadent and very rich. read more

I had one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had at this restaurant. After enjoying a meal, our check came out to around $96. I handed over my debit card to pay, and moments later, I received a notification from my bank that I had been charged $290--three times the actual bill. When I brought it up to the waiter, he told me my card was declined, which was false. I showed the manager the transaction notification directly from my bank, but she insisted that they didn't see any charge on their end. Things only got more suspicious from there. I had to call the police to file a report, and my bank confirmed there had been four separate attempts to charge my card: two for $315, one for $290 (which succeeded), and one for $115. This was all confirmed in front of officers. Still, no clear explanation was offered by the staff or management. This wasn't just a billing error--it felt like attempted credit card fraud. I've since filed a police report and reported the incident to the Colorado Attorney General. Dining out should never end in having to involve law enforcement or your bank's fraud department. I strongly recommend others be cautious before doing business here. read more

Stood by the hostess stand for 10 minutes waiting to be seated as we had a reservation only to be ignored by the 2 male bartenders and the one host lady who all directly looked at me. I had to go up to them and ask if any of them worked there to finally be helped. They also didn't seem to have our reservation and took more time to get our table ready. It took about another 10 minutes for a waiter to even come to our table and greet us, the place is small so you couldn't miss us. Food was overpriced and very very limited menu.i won't be back.
