Stopped by on a late night last week craving a sandwich. This has been my favorite deli for the past half decade and I had just gotten off an overtime shift at work. NONE of the workers or customers inside were wearing masks. Not to mention, one sandwich took 20 minutes and they were out of hand sanitizer. Cameron's deli doesn't have the best food but I deal with it because of the convince. That being said, in order to have any flavor on their sandwiches, I always ask for extra hot sauce when I go in, which granted isn't often. I think I've been 2-3 times in the past year. Regardless, every single time I go, my order is wrong. Doesn't matter if I call them over the phone or order in person. So, as an example, I ordered a sandwich over the phone and asked "can I get extra hot sauce, like a lot of it please. Try to make me cry". In a rush to work, grabbed the food, paid, and ran. I tried this place on two occasions . Both times were horrible experiences. My order each time was simple. 2 eggs bacon cheese on a toasted roll with butter and 1 has brown . No way could I have imagined anyone could mess this up. My eggs were so overcooked they looked brown. They only put one egg no bacon , my roll had no butter or toast. The sandwich was so dry my jaw hurt. The hash brown was not drained. It was saturated in oil then wrapped up and when I tried to pick it up it fell apart. Well I thought this was going to be a good deli experience. This is one of the more expensive sandwiches I've paid for. The sandwich is skimpy as all, one egg ham egg and cheese was 3.75. It was not filling and didn't even cover the whole roll. The roll itself was good and the customer service was good but the sandwich was disappointing and I was still hungry after. Sandwiches were ok , but don't buy cold cuts here. Asked for a pound of Virginia ham sliced very thin. Got ham steaks. At the price of ham these days, I expect it to be sliced the way I want it. This deli is average at best. The food is mediocre, the selection of what's available (chips, drinks, etc.) is mediocre and the prices are on the high end because it's a 24/7 deli. If you need a bite to eat at 2:30 AM... sure, this is an okay place to go. But otherwise, there are much better delis in the area. read more

The only reason I get food from here is because they have gluten free buns. With that being said, most of the times I've eaten there they mess up the order. Most recently, I was charged about $10 for a " turkey, bacon, and swiss on a gluten free bun". Used to be pretty good, but they skimp on things like prosciutto and will charge for extra. They used to put an appropriate amount, but now you may get one small shred for a large hero. I used to get the portobello grove and ask for a chicken cutlet since it doesnt come with one. They began charging me extra for the chicken cutlet, which is the same amount of ingredients as equally priced sandwiches. read more

I keep trying to like this place because it's convenient and one of the few places around open all night. But truly, it's terrible. Despite having 2 registers, there is never someone at one register helping people who are not waiting for food. You have to hover and hope for the courtesy of another patron to go ahead of them, even if all you're getting is a coffee or a bag of chips. When you do order food, they are bordering rude. I have have now multiple times been served by an older woman who talks to me like I'm 10 years old and brain damaged, asking if I'm sure after every item, then sucking her teeth in disapproval of my choices. The worst, however, is asking for extra meat in the meagre-at-best sandwiches. I expect an extra charge for this; it's only right. But they seem to charge whatever they feel like at the time. The first time I asked, I was charged 4 dollars. Fine. The next time I was charged two and fifty. Cool. The third time (of course the time I'm getting sandwiches for several people) they charged 7 dollars...per sandwich! The original cost of the sandwich itself was only 6 and change! When I said something, I was barked at that I wanted free food (by the same woman who thinks ordering anything from the menu is somehow shameful)! Stay away from Cameron's. We have used this deli for years. They are open 24/7. They go from being wonderful to slow to ridiculous. You never know how your service is going to be. The food is standard for today's delis. They used to be creative and added new items to their menu, now same old same old. Their menu has not changed in years. On that note either has the quality of the food, still good,still fresh. Even with others in the area, Cameron's is alway a good standby especially when the are open whilst other are not. read more

Since Cameron's was sold, the food and service is not the same. The menu may be the same but the ingredients and cooks are not. They cannot get an order correct. I ordered a grilled cheese with tomato and got a grilled cheese with tomato and bacon. Other sandwiches ordered were not made correctly and this may be due to a language barrier and/or not writing the order down correctly or bad handwriting, not sure. Before you take your order away, check it carefully! Otherwise you will be disappointed when you get home. read more

Nice convenience store! The deli has quality meats and I really am happy they came to Carmel!! Cluckin'Russian seems to be our go-to wedge wow!! So delish! Big pieces of chicken breast with Munster cheese melted!! If you want a sesame bread it's 1.50 extra that I don't understand!! It's seeds not a 2nd sandwich or xtra meat!! Lettuce & Tomato...Xtra $$$!! They seem to offer just about anything u can think of a deli has and seeing That the town of Carmel closes @ 9pm this 24 hour deli is Great! I've come here for years and lately it's just gone down hill. Past few times I've gotten food that's been either not fully cooked or is missing an item to the sandwich. You order online and get there and they are still working on it( mind you it's late at night and has been at least a half hour). Yesterday will be the last time I ever do business with Cameron's in Brewster thanks to the incredible lack of customer service from Orlando. We had placed a catering order for 2, 3 foot each subs on Saturday around 4:00pm to be picked up on Sunday at 12:30pm for a party that started at 1:15pm. The person who took the order confirmed everything, including total ($115.00), time, date of pick up, name of the caller, call back number, etc. We showed up at 12:30pm (11/5) and told Orlando we were here to pick up our order. He immediately said we have no order, you probably called the Cross River location. He called them and they confirmed we had NOT called them and they had no such order. Right then and there he had his first opportunity to make things right by one, never accusing the customer in the first place and two, immediately start working on our order. Instead, Orlando became increasingly accusatory until lo and behold, another gentleman FOUND the ticket order. Now, instead of Orlando apologizing, he then started making excuses that "the ticket wasn't an actual order and wasn't filled in right". I'm sorry, I didn't realize the lack of training was the customers fault. He then said he would "make the sandwiches" but it would be almost an hour. So again, when none of this is the customers fault, we're now being forced to wait over an hour for an order your store/staff messed up on and now we're also going to be late to the party? After RE-CONFIRMING the order and telling him only lettuce on the sandwiches (no tomato) they go into the back to start making them. Miraculously it takes them only about 25 minutes, but when the sandwiches come back, there's tomatoes on the Italian combo. Off they go again to remove the tomatoes, which should have never been on the sandwich in the first place. Now, after all this you would think that Orlando would be apologizing, providing some kind of make good, ANYTHING. But no, he continues with his attitude and accusations at the customer and keeps trying to blame us. He also basically refused to interact with me and kept trying to go to my Husband instead. We get everything squared away and he goes to ring us out, at this point you'd think he'd FINALLY apologize for the trouble and knock something off the bill OR include something additional, given that we're now officially late and haven't even left the deli yet. At this point my Husband steps in and ALL of a sudden we get a magical "I apologize if we started out on the wrong foot". We've now been in the store for 45 minutes, you're now JUST apologizing (trust me, we called this out to him) and you're only doing so because my Husband stepped in? Customer service is SERIOUSLY lacking and if you're allowing someone like Orlando to be in charge, then that's a bigger problem. All of this could have been resolved and avoided in the first minute of the entire interaction. A simple, we are so sorry, we messed up, missed the ticket but will get going RIGHT now, give us 20 minutes and we'll make this right, that's all it would have taken. Instead, you accused and fought with a customer when all of the mistakes were on your end and show lack of training and customer service. We will now be taking all of our catering needs to other local businesses who appreciate it and don't treat their customers like they're a problem and a bother. read more

Dear Cameron's Deli, this food is AMAZING. Absolutely incredible only because it's made with love by the workers. It is a saturday night and there are only TWO WOMEN BEHIND THE COUNTER. They are dealing with incessant drunk assholes the whole night and treated like absolute garbage even though they are quite literally doing the best they can. I am not disappointed by the workers or the food, I am disappointed by the business owners who choose to keep these two women on knowing that it gets busy on weekend nights and knowing that it is unfair to them. Only one complaint.....otherwise, I almost always have had a positive experience at both Cameron's locations---good fresh variety of food, really good service, and always open. My complaint with them is their coffee. They brew it in these big coffeemakers, where it burns, and they'll sell it to you burnt. They desperately need those big thermoses, which keep the coffee hot and it doesn't burn. Listen up Cam, and make this improvement please! Otherwise, a really good deli. read more

I've always been really fond of the original location, a hometown classic. Cameron's in Brewster has a lot of potential, a good amount of original staff of the Cross River location, nice to see familiar faces behind the counter. The menu is about the same, cluckin' russians are made well, but maybe it's just me, doesn't quite seem the same. I think Cameron's has the room and potential for improvement, but it's not quite the real deal yet. Location is great, brand new, no cardboard boxes strewn all over the floors. Conveniently 5 minutes from the Southeast exit from i-84. It's still one of the best delis in the area, and there aren't any wannabee rednecks revving their pickup trucks in the parking lot, (Yet.) read more

This place was so good when it first opened up! I have no idea what happened, but it's been terrible for about two years. I recently moved out of state, but happened to be in the area today and thought maybe I'll give it another shot. Well, I regretted it. As usual, they messed up the order (which I called ahead for, because if you order in person it takes forever to get your food). There was barely anything on it, and instead of putting the things that I asked for on the sandwich is was something completely different. When I said that I thought they may have mixed up my order with someone else's, they told that that was what I asked for. No, no, it was not.
