Great sandwiches especially their specialities. I have only two bad experiences in over 50 visits. I tried one of their noon time entries and the so called beef was tough. One of their night persons is also an unfriendly horse's ass. Otherwise, a friendly efficient place for deli. Two sandwiches worth mentioning: 'Mrs. I" and 'Cagayan Horse'. The Cagayan Horse sandwich is made with a heafty pile of lean roast beef with horshradish sause and Mrs. I is made with girlled hot pistrami with grilled onions swiss and mustard on rye toast. I come to Cameron's as a late night snack, or as a breakfast place, however tonight I received the worst service I've ever encountered. First I was over charged for french fries, and then when I went up to the cashier to ask for my money back, was told to "come back in the morning". He did not look up anything, and told me "he doesn't know" what I ordered even thought I showed him physically what I had ordered. Terrific deli with solid sandwiches. The key lies in the rolls. They're fresh and toasted and poppy seeds make a big difference. The cutlets are nicely breaded and fried. The food is good and there is some local history here. I can deal with the long lines, extremely long wait time for food, and the occasional problems with the food orders. Do not ever go in to Cameron's deli on memorial day weekend, tried to pick up two breakfast sandwiches after ordering on the phone and waited a good 15 minutes for the kid at the register to say "I can't leave the register just walk in the back and yell over the top of the counter to get someone's attention". So I do that. The guy behind the counter says "just get back online and I'll walk it to the front", so after ordering on the phone to speed the process up, get online!!!!! But wait there's more, I get to the front of the line and the sandwiches have not been walked forward from the back, the cashier has to ask a second time for the order that was just sitting there waiting to be moved. ***Awful*** customer service! They've gotten our call in order wrong multiple times, some of the workers ignore the customers and won't even directly hand you your change (even if you're standing right there, they'll just put it on the counter), and the kicker that ended it for me: One rush hour am we waited 10 minutes before our order was even taken! There were about 5 workers behind the counter, 1 was just transfering bags of ice to the machine, and not a one of them looked at us to ask us what they can do for us or to say 'just a second'. We ended up just picking up some of the fridge items and leaving the money on the counter for them. HOW. FRICKIN. RUDE. And neglectful. Never been treated this way in my life. Serious, serious lack of customer service skills here. People come here from all three different states in the Tri-State to get cluckin' russians (c) from this spot. That's right they have a sandwich that is so good it's trademarked. I think to truly appreciate Cam's you have to have grown up in the area. It is the only place you can get hot late-night food. The cons outweigh the only pros, which are location and hours. Majority of the staff is rude, lazy, and borderline incompetent. I can't tell you how many times I've asked for a relatively simple sandwich with cheese, only to arrive home with a sloppy, cheese-less mess. I'm torn whether to believe it's intentional or incompetence. Seriously, if you don't want to work in an environment that requires customer contact, do us all a favor, DON'T. I have yet to get a sandwich from here that doesn't hit the spot! My only issue with the location is there is always apparent confusion with the line of people waiting to pay, order, or buy lotto tickets! I try to hit the deli at off times when I'm able just to avoid this. I almost feel like taking a number would be a good idea? I know more of us are now ordering online and by phone so this makes it difficult for people to figure out who needs to get in the order line and who just needs to pick up a sandwich that's already ready. I saw there's a sign there that says 'online orders pick up here' but the problem is there is so much high stuff in the way that the cashier can't even see when somebody is standing there so we tend to move over to the 'placing order' side. Anyway, love the food here and will continue to go back - line or no line! Scott has done an awesome job with this business and there is absolutely never any skimping on quality or quantity! Oh, and to be open 24/7? After sporadicly hanging out in Ossining for a couple of years, I ate at Rocky's deli many times and was not disappointed. The interior of Cameron's is set up pretty much identically, and is also 24/7. The food, on the other hand, was definitely a step above Rocky's. I had a chicken cutlet with bacon and cheese, and on the way home from a night out in Stamford had the cluck'n russian on the same night. They had run out of bread but it was still great. I have been going to Camerons since I was little. I love the place but I do have to say that ever since they hired new staff my Sandwhich's have been awful, messy and, pretty much impossible to eat. Disappointed with new staff... I have been a fan for years and raved about everything there... but the new staff over the past few months and now today.... not impressed and in fact disappointed. My Slim Chicken I just picked up was not only slim on the chicken but also on the peppers and the dressing. It was mostly rap. I happened upon this place when I was on the road between two clients and needed to stop for lunch... It was fantastic! I asked the people who work there what their favorite sandwich was, and they said the cluck'n Russian....which is chicken cutlet, muenster, bacon and Russian dressing. So good!! I got a cucumber salad as well, and it was very fresh. Nice people, great food, and they are 24/7!! Definitely going to stop again next time I am in the area.l!! read more

Long lines usually on the weekends but it moves fast! Sandwiches are always consistent. And best place around! Staff is friendly. And hours are fantastic!!! Been there plenty of times with no problem. One mishap on waiting over 25 minutes for 2 simple sandwiches, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and blame it on consistent huge line. (Means food is good!) It was a bit of misunderstanding on who is supposed to being doing what/ blaming each other rather then apologizing. Maybe a management problem? Very disappointed in Cameron's after having stopped here for many many years. First I called to place an order on Friday night at 7 pm. No one picked up. When I got there they were just letting the phone ring on other customers. Second I waited five minutes to place an order while some guy sliced tomatoes for the next day as I stood waiting and waiting to give my order. Third the sandwich then made was half good as they made one excellent but barely put anything on the other side Last they wanted to charge me for a cup when I bought a two dollar container of juice . If people don't want to serve customers then go work for the MTA. Very Disappointed. Not returning . I been to the location in cross river a couple times, its ok not too good. However another one opened up in Brewster and its closer to me and I decided to try it out again. It was a dead afternoon and I was the only one in there and three people ignored me behind the counter. I waited at least five minutes before someone said anything to me. Besides the fact that the sandwich was literally covered in Russian dressing (I mean drenched) I happen to find a nice long strand of hair in between my sandwich.
