Ate there today, and the service was horrible. Waited 45 min for our food, many tables that came after us where done eating before our food came out. Traveling thru Fruita, CO we stayed at Monument RV Park. Great stop. Drove to Camilla's Kaffe towing our 36' 5th wheel trailer. No parking on main street there but found street parking a couple blocks away. Camilla's was very busy and for a good reason. The service and food were outstanding. Really friendly folks there and one of the best chicken fried steak breakfast I have had. Wife had the pancakes and eggs which were perfectly cooked. This was a very nice local restaurant. Both of our meals were very good. I had the grilled cheese with onion rings. I have to say they where the best onion rings I have had in a long time. My husband said his Ruben was also very good. They have a small kitchen, so food was a little slow to come out, but is was worth the wait. Easy free street parking. There is also outside seating. Mesa County has moved to almost business as usual which is awesome. Please bring back the old way at Camillas. I don't know why we have to order at the counter, it creates a bottleneck which as far as Covid goes seems more unsafe than being waited on at your table. Plus as a local I enjoyed the personal connection with the servers which is completely lacking now. The food is delicious, portions are huge, the employees are top notch, we love eating at this restaurant, but we loved it for the atmosphere and the hour to slow down chat with our server, have our coffee topped off and leave with very full bellies. Please consider going back to the old and what I would say much better experience of being seated, being served and feeling all around taken care off. read more

Excellent service. The staff is chill and efficient, cool under pressure. You wont leave hungry. We loved the chili rellenos, be very hungry or split the order. The green chili is really nice. I had oatmeal and it was the perfect amount for a 4 hour bike ride. The wheat toast is thick and amazing. Worth every penny. read more

Coming from the NY/NJ area, I tend to be pretty skeptical about bagels from any other part of the country. Nevertheless, I was really craving one after a long family road trip so I ordered the bagel sandwich. I was so pleasantly surprised with how good it was! The veggies were fresh and crisp and the bagel itself was very well made. If I ever find myself in Fruita again, I'll absolutely be coming back to Camilla's! read more

The food was absolutely amazing as usual. Stopped in on my trip home from camping. It was so pleasant. They made sure I was safe everyone wear a mask. I accidentally handed them my credit card. This was my 1st time through Fruita and we stopped in Camilla's Kaffe for brunch. The down town district here is very cool with its old brick buildings and bike shops everywhere you turn. Camilla's fits right into that down town vibe and has a nice outside seating area. The staff were warm and welcoming, and we immediately made a connection with one of the waitresses who's daughter had just graduated from Chico State (in my home town of Chico, CA). The food was good and you get a lot for your money. I'll definitely be back. read more

We had breakfast here this morning and it was amazing! My hubby had the breakfast bagel sandwich. It was HUGE! And delicious. I had eggs, hash browns, sausage and a biscuit. Great breakfast and super friendly service! Went here three times when visiting Fruita on a mountain bike trip. First day, I ordered the chicken fried steak with a biscuit on the side. Fantastic. Second day, had some tasty pancakes. Third day, ordered the biker burrito with chicken fried steak. Delicious. Highly recommend stopping here when in town. We got there too late for breakfast so ended up ordering lunch. It was great! Soup of the day was a steak chipotle - had that with 1/2 tuna salad. It was huge and so glad I ordered half sandwich. Others in our group had chicken and avocado salad which could have served 2 and the onion rings with Reuben sandwich were crisp and delicious. Took a little while to get food but it was worth it. Three separate rooms plus two outdoor eating areas are all very relaxing. Local artists hang some of their works on Camilla's wall, all very interesting and for sale. I agree with so many others... this is the place to stop in Fruita, driving from either direction. It is delicious and friendly. HUGE packed sandwiches, I had a chicken salad sandwich that was awesome with chicken pieces falling out the sides and fresh bread. Waitress was nice, friendly... set our expectations that everyone had just arrived at once, and so the food would be delayed. Very disappointed in how the staff treats paying customers. Went in during lunch and was told that I had roughly 30-40 minutes to order and eat my food before I had to leave. Not quite sure why the woman taking orders stated that, as business is slow during this time for all restaurants. Maybe they don't need the money or business? This isn't the first time we have felt neglected and rushed at this establishment either. Went to order my food to-go and the lady proceeded to tell me how there was a time limit and if we could eat quick enough before they closed. Mind you, I get the hour changes due to COVID... all I wanted was to order food and enjoy it in a timely manner. Very unprofessional. We were in town for biking and wine. I guess we chose poorly as the big country festival was also in town. There was some confusion on how this restaurant worked. There was a long line out the door. We saw you could order food to go so decided to do that. Then we waited outside. While waiting outside one of the wait staff told us there was no wait for the outside seats. The line was for people that wanted to eat inside. We sat outside and then told the waitress we already ordered food to go. She said she would bring it to us outside. All a bit of a mess but I guess this is a unique situation. Usually half to a fourth of the crowd. We got the Camilla's morning special, which is egg they way you want it cooked, toast and a meat. One of us got sausage the other bacon. The special is about $4. This place is on main street and was about a block from where we were staying. Nice staff if not a bit overwhelmed the day we were there. If back in town would try again. Can't beat a $4 breakfast these days. read more

Great food, good service. I had the breakfast burrito with bacon and it was absolutely delicious!!! Loaded with the yummiest smoked bacon. The chili covering the burrito was also very good. The burritos are huge, and probably enough for two people to share. My latte was better than anything at Starbucks, hands down! I wish they were open later, right now they are closing at three in the afternoon. I highly recommend this place! read more
