If you're looking to rent or buy a wedding dress, look no further! Ms. Sister has a great variety of dresses, not only wedding dresses, but also bridesmaid dresses. They have a clearance section for dresses that are gorgeous and very affordable! They also offer suits for rent as well. The rental process is easy and hassle free. I think for the service you're getting and all the accessories included for the rental, it's pretty worth it! I rented a beautiful ball gown dress and the rental came with accessories (ie. Tiara, earrings, veil, hair pins, even bow ties and or tie for your partner regardless if he's renting a suit/tux or not). They provide you with shoe covers so that you don't accidentally step on their dresses and get them dirty. The rental also includes free dry cleaning. They do not require you to bring back the dress already dry cleaned. Since I rented a ballgown dress, I was also given a petticoat hoop skirt which helps flare out the ballgown. Ms. Sister also offers a package deal where you can rent a dress, book a photographer and get your makeup done. I highly recommend checking them out. The owner is super sweet! I literally felt like a princess trying on their dresses! Also, the place that they get their dresses dry cleaned doesn't use any harsh chemicals, so it's safe for sensitive skin! Edit to add: if you see a dress that you like from the rental, you can also have it custom made for purchasing!

I went on a Wednesday at opening and there was no one else trying to dresses for majority of the time I was there. She was kind enough to spend so much time with my mom and I, I never felt rushed. Krystle also does wedding planning outside of working there, so she was extremely helpful and knowledgeable with any questions I had. Honestly I would go back just because of her, she was that awesome! Overall, my experience at Wedding and Dreams was a good one. I found my dress off the rack (which was around $1000), and it worked out since my wedding is only a month away.

Immediately when we arrived I loved how secure the place was, they only do one appointment at a time, not too much going on, you pretty much have the whole place to yourself which made it seem so personal and thats important to me. Our wedding dress designer consultant was Virginia and she totally knew what she was doing!!! I loved the dress she picked, initially she picked 2 dresses and one of them ended up being THE dress. I picked out about 3 different ones and tried them on but nothing compared to the first one I tried on. The tears were flowing and it was such a special moment for all of us. The quality of the dress and the way it sparkled was what caught everyone's attention. The transaction was smooth and seamless, everything is final sale of course and they do offer aftercare packages and have recommendations for alterations. I would recommend going here even if you're not from the area bc trust me when I say, it's is worth visiting.

I was helped by Veronica who was so detailed and caring throughout the whole process! She sat me down and asked me what I'm looking for in a dress and what wedding vibe I'm going for. She took all my concerns and ran with it, pulling out all the dresses that fit my criteria and some even outside of what I was looking for to add some variety to the mix. I'm still in shock that the first dress she chose/I tried on ended up being THE ONE. She also knew how much I loved the idea of sleeves and she took the time to find some so I could see my vision with the dress and it worked! I ended up walking out with the dress that same day! I had attended a dress try-on at a boutique prior and had been quoted a ridiculous price. At Garnet and Grace I found an even better dress for a fraction of what it would have cost me at the boutique! I 100% recommend Garnet and Grace for all of your bridal attire needs - even the associate that helped me purchase the dress said that they do everything but sell shoes, which is awesome! I love that now I have a one-stop shop for all things wedding dress related. Everyone is so sweet and supportive I can't recommend them enough!

Her inability to properly schedule appointments and have projects completed on time disqualifies "Said with Threads, LLC" as a viable option for having clothing alterations performed. If you are an East Bay resident and need alterations performed, please read the rest of this review before scheduling an appointment with this establishment. I've been going to Eileen since December 2024. Online reviews looked good, and her shop was near my house, which made it convenient for me. I encountered an odd issue with her during my first visit. She had informed me my pants were ready for pickup, and I specified the day/time I would be coming in. When I went to her shop for pickup, I called, and she informed me she had gone to deliver an order for someone else because she didn't think I would appear on time. I was completely baffled as to why she reached this conclusion and why she admitted it verbally. Between September and October 2025, I had requested that she perform alterations on some pants. On this occasion I was charged the day I left the articles with her and was assured they'd be ready on the date she had specified. Prior to picking them up, I called Eileen and informed her I was on my way. When she answered, she told me my pants were not ready and that she hadn't even started working on them. I was quite upset over this since more than a week had passed since I'd left the pants with her. About a month later, I brought in a blazer she had worked on previously and asked her to reattach the buttons, as some of them had come loose. Although she did not charge me for this, she assured me the blazer would be ready on time. She failed to have the blazer ready on time when I went to her shop. I went to go run some errands for about an hour, and when I came back, she had finished working on my blazer. This indicated that she did not need more than a week to work on my blazer and had procrastinated or otherwise failed to make good use of her time. What frustrated me, however, was the condition in which she returned my blazer. It was covered in lint/hair/debris and had a strange odor to it. I had dry-cleaned it prior to leaving it with Eileen, and her utter lack of regard for keeping it clean really upset me. Most recently, during December 2025, I requested an appointment two days in advance. I wanted her to hem some pants I needed for work. She had agreed to meet me at 11 am on a Wednesday. On the day of the appointment, I called her to let her know I had arrived. When she answered, she told me she had mistakenly marked my appointment for a different time/day and had left to attend to another client.

I found Said With Threads through a Facebook wedding page and Yelp (all with good reviews!). Eileen doesn't uncharge for weddings so her price was much more reasonable compared to other bridal boutiques. Another reason I chose her was because her shop was close by, only a ~10 minute drive away. Initially, the plan was to have the dress done in 3-4 visits but it ended up being a total of 10 (!!!!) appts... literally up until the week before leaving for my wedding. It was soooo stressful going into each appt because it was always a gamble on whether or not the dress had been changed/fixed since the last appt. In addition, EVERY TIME that the dress was too tight, she asked if it was because I was bloated/swollen from being on my menstrual cycle.. even when I'm not (not sure if it's just me but I find that to be lowkey rude lol) 6/21 - initial consult 7/9 - first fitting, measured and pinned 7/16 - waist too tight, cut hem 7/30 - waist still too tight, uneven hem 8/4 - cancelled due to covid 8/24 - still the same waist tightness, she noticed I was upset so she planned/pinned the bustle 8/28 - waist slightly looser but still tight, bustle uneven 9/3 - nothing done because she thought the appt was the next day 9/4 - tightness around the waist still the same, shoulder straps uneven, I requested to see the dress with the bustle undone and I noticed that the hem was way too long when the bustle was let down 9/9 - waist feels even tighter, I had to recommend her to measure my waist with my regular clothes on for comparison 9/10 - dress fits well, she fixed some slightly loose fabric under one armpit when I pointed it out but OMG FINALLY DONE!!!

The following months, however, were filled with uncertainty and confusion about when my dress would arrive. With an estimated delivery timeline of 4-6 months, I initially tried not to worry. In December, I was informed that my gown was in the final stages of production, and I paid the remaining balance. As March approached, my family and friends began to grow concerned alongside me. While the responses to my calls and emails were reassuring, it became increasingly difficult not to feel anxious as the wedding date drew closer and our energy and attention needed to be focused on other aspects of wedding planning. We were told that the delays originated with the designer. This is understandably not in their control, but more proactive communication and transparency about the situation earlier in the process would have been appreciated. Ultimately, the dress shipped at the end of April and arrived in early May. Despite this experience, I am still giving Janene's Bridal Alameda 4 stars because of the kind and responsive staff. The alterations team did an excellent job with only about 2 weeks to work with, and every staff member was pleasant. I especially appreciated Jessica, Tiffany, and Mary Ann for being so accommodating, patient, and supportive throughout the process. At one point, I left an item there and the team were very communicative about searching for and locating the item until my return. Most importantly, the business went above and beyond to compensate me for the inconvenience and stress of receiving my dress so close to my wedding date. After everything that happened, I was hesitant to have my alterations done at Janene's, but the team ultimately turned the experience around and made it a positive one. Their excellent customer service and dedication helped make up for the stressful situation. Thank you for making things right and for taking such great care of my wedding dress.

Unfortunately for me, I did not get the experience I was hoping for and did not feel like my stylist was able to interpret my vision. This was my 4th time trying on dresses. I previously went to Kleinfeld NYC, Anthropologie Palo Alto, and Kinsley Couture Walnut Creek. I had wonderful experiences at my previous appointments. I decided to come here because one of my friends had recommended them. My budget was $5k so I had a flexible price range. My stylist didn't really explain to me their process at this store so I was a bit confused. I knew it was a one hour time limit and the estimated dresses to try on was 5, but I didn't know it was a hard limit. She ended my appt early at 45 minutes. Had I known I could only try on 5 dresses exactly, it would have been nice if she was transparent about that so I could at least maybe select the dresses I gravitated toward out of her selection. I felt like I was giving feedback after each dress, but kept getting another variation of what I didn't like. The first dress I tried was probably the best out of 5, but from there we kept getting further and further away from what I wanted. There were some dresses I put on and wasn't comfortable to walk out on the podium, but she never asked me if I wanted to show my guests or not. She would just immediately open the curtains and I just felt very exposed and not handled with care. It just didn't feel like a hospitable environment for me or my 3 guests. We were never even offered water. I'm hoping my experience was an outlier and I wish all the brides coming here success in their bridal journey.

I am in LOVE with both my dress and the experience I had at Bo Lee!!…read more I was recommended Bo Lee by a friend who knew of them when they were located in Sunnyvale; they're now located in Campbell. Parking is super easy; for my Sunday 3:00 PM appointment, the street parking spots were empty and the nearby parking garage had tons of space. Entrance is a little bit of a hole-in-the-wall, but they put a sign above their entrance, and directions are easy to follow to their front door (store is located on the second floor). My absolute love of this place includes: - the space is huge!! I had a dual fitting with my friend, but we weren't bumping into each other or in each other's pictures or anything at all. I saw that there was another person doing a fitting, but she was practically on the other side of the building, so we weren't encroaching in each other's space. - the dual fitting was a special request, and Jackie made sure to put us in rooms next to each other, which made the process that much more seamless - kitchen: one of my girls set up camp and poured us our teas, mimosas, and champagne in the Bo Lee kitchen. Also a beautiful space! - natural lighting: big and tall windows plus second floor venue equals viewing yourself in true colors instead of only bulb-lighting. The dresses I tried on were beautiful, but in the natural light, I could see how dynamic they were as well! Subtle sparkles, sheer tulle... it all came out differently in the natural light. - stylist chooses the dresses based on conversations and preference. Jackie, my stylist, knew the entire inventory. I just described what I thought I wanted, and she delivered!! I was relieved that I didn't have to go through dress after dress on the floor and hum and haw about whether I wanted to try it on or not. (Some people might not like this, but I feel like I had a curated try-on collection from an expert who saw the bigger picture.) - I also love how Jackie had me try on a dress I didn't think was the style I wanted, and she dotted her Is and crossed her Ts so I could for sure say with confidence that that particular dress style was a "no" from me. - both Jackie and Bo Lee took my measurements to make sure there wasn't an error, and it's the little things like that that make you feel confident in choosing them as your bridal boutique. I'm happy, I saw and tried on so many styles, and I had such a fun time! I also went under-budget for what I wanted for my dress, which is a win!
