I walked into this adorable little coffee shop Camino Coffee Mill and was immediately greeted with a huge smile by the gentleman behind the bar. He was incredibly friendly, struck up a conversation, and made me feel genuinely welcome from the moment I walked in. I didn't catch his name, but he provided amazing customer service. I ordered an iced mocha, and it was made quickly and tasted absolutely delicious--exactly what I needed for the drive home! It's always refreshing to find a place with both great coffee and even better customer service. If you're passing through the area or live nearby, I definitely recommend stopping in. I'll be back the next time I'm in the area!

Took me a solid 5 minutes just to decide. The barista was super chill though. We had a group of 5 and she made all our drinks with a smile, didn't seem annoyed at all. Drinks came out fast and everyone liked theirs. Only thing I'm mad about -- I didn't get a muffin. They looked incredible in the display case. Huge tops, fresh, golden. I literally stared at them while waiting for my coffee and talked myself out of it for some reason. Regretting it hard now. Next time I'm grabbing two. Would go back just for the service honestly. Famous for setting the gold standard of high-country orchard stops, this farm stand is equal parts cozy rustic nostalgia and absolute culinary magnetism. Hot Cider Donuts: You come here for hot apple cider doughnuts. Fried fresh to order, tossed in cinnamon sugar, and handed to you screaming hot. Pure indulgence. They feature a crisp, delicate outer crust gives way to pillowy, cider-rich interior. Pair one with a cup of their fresh-pressed, unfiltered spiced hot cider (or cold), and you have achieved peak autumn bliss. Fresh-Pressed Hot Cider: The ultimate dynamic duo pairing. This isn't just liquid sugar--it is punchy, pleasantly tart, and packed with warm, aromatic spices to balance out edge sweet treats. The Bakery Stand: Beyond the viral doughnuts, the bakery churns out massive deep-dish apple pies, berry tarts, and cider-insisted baked goods that rival any grandmother's secret recipe. Fresh Fruit and Produce: Crisp-estate grown apples, seasonal stone fruit, and a dedicated tasting tent serving up crisp hard ciders for the grown-ups crafted directly from their mountain orchards. The sweeping grassland backdrop and orchard views make it a prime spot to spread out a blanket and soak in the Sierra Foothill breeze. Lines for the doughnut shack build fast. Arrive and grab a box of a dozen (you will regret buying just six) and secure a spot before crowds swarm. Rainbow Orchards delivers an unbeatable, sweet-toothed sliced of farm country charm.

Wine and hard cider is available for the adults, while train rides and face painting is available for children. There's fun to be had for the whole family. 4.5 stars Perched in…read morethe top of Apple Hill, Boa Vista Orchards is the heavyweight champion of seasonal farm vibes, fresh picked-fruit, and baked comfort. Open 363 days, it balances bustling market energy with sweeping Sierra foothill views. It is lively, aromatic and perpetually buzzing. The moment you pull off Carson Road, the scent of warm cinnamon, rich stone fruit, and crisp mountain air hits you. The sprawling property features an open-air farm market, a massive bakery, outdoor picnic areas overlooked the orchard valleys, and a dedicated cider fridge. O'Henry Peaches: The absolute star of the late-summer harvest. These are widely the best tasting peaches on the mountain--boasting a rich, sweet-to-tart depth and incredible juiciness that makes eating them over the sink an absolute requirement. Apple Glazed Donuts: Coating in a sweet, crackly glaze gives a nice fruit flavor, but the donut itself sits a tad too dense and heavy, lacking the light, pillowy crumb you hope for in a freshly fried fruit. Apple Strudel: A bit of a miss in the bakery case. The apples inside turn mealy and overly soft -- a clear sign of using the wrong apple variety for baking -- and the heavy powdered sugar glaze on top leans too sweet for my palate. Apple Cider/Apple Juice: Easily popular, the cider and juice are light and refreshing but leans heavily on the sugary side. It comes across as overly sweet and lacks that bold, tart bite or spiced punch you might expect from a raw mountain press. Bakery Classics: Pies and pastries remain solid, comforting staples that feel homemade and generous. Whether you are loading up a bag of peak-season O'Henry peaches in August or sipping craft hard cider or plain apple cider by the pond, Boa Vista delivers quintessential countryside escape.

Perfect Spot for a Fall Day [Apple Hill|Camino CA]…read more The number of orchards in Apple Hill can be overwhelming that's why each year my eldest daughter always has a game plan to visit farms we haven't tried yet (and some repeat visits to our favorites) This was my first time at the Apple Ridge Farms. We spent most of our time here. There was a lot to do including an actual u-pick Apple orchard. Apple Ridge Farms is dog friendly. BBQ and Bakery with a full menu including sandwiches, salads and sides. They had a special on apple pies this weekend... $20 for a whole pie. Picnic Area - got our lunch and enjoyed it in the covered picnic area. Love their fries! Apple Barn - frozen pies, pastries, apple cider, fresh apples, Christmas boutique Country Store - filled with jams, jellies, fudge, chocolates, and great gift ideas Nature trail - visitors are able to choose between an easy trail and a not-so-easy trail. We chose the easy trail but I think they are both easy. Flower trail - unfortunately our visit was in early November and we missed when the flowers were in bloom. September would be the best time to visit and check out the colorful zinnias. Free to access. Gem mining - daughter has enjoyed this activity in other places since she was little. She's 23 now and still has fun with this experience. There is a fee for this activity. Pop ups Artisan Crafters - arts & crafts including wood works, handmade jewelry, handcrafted soaps and candles, paintings, dried nuts and fruits. Unique finds! Face painting - we did not do this activity due to time constraints but daughter had wanted one of Patrick Starr (SpongeBob Square Pants)... next time! Portable toilets are on-site.
