    Onion rings. Yummy!
    Deanna G.

We love Camp 18! Everything we've ordered had been yummy, satiating and just all around solid. The service is always friendly, albeit slow sometimes. But, maybe that's good! What's the hurry!? The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. The log cabin ambiance reminds me of what it must have been like back in the logging days. I love the building. Solid, elegant and homey, at the same time. The Hot Beef Sandwich was served with zucchini and sweet potato fries (at my request). Down home delicious! My husband's streak was cook a perfect medium and flavorful. We both enjoyed our Valentines meal, very much! You won't be disappointed with Camp 18.

    Biscuits & Gravy

The restaurant itself was very cute-like a log cabin. The waitress was great and attentive, however the woman who sat me and then took my money was beyond rude. When I went to pay, she didn't say anything to me. Not a thank you, zero acknowledgement. The food was okay. I ordered biscuits and gravy and they came out lukewarm. I did go to the shop next door and those employees were so sweet and kind!!

Stopped by for breakfast on a Wednesday morning a couple weeks ago on our way to Cannon Beach. Had not been in for about 5 years, so we were not sure what to expect. It was GREAT! Food tasted good, really friendly service and we did not have to wait. Really enjoyed it and we will definitely be stopping by again soon. Of course, like everywhere nothing is cheap anymore, but we feel like we got a really good breakfast!

I dont get the 3.5 star rating. Its a busy restaurant in the middle of nowhere. Youre going to have to wait during rush hours. You have to go up to the cashier and ask to put your party in the queue if there is a line. The food is delicious and decently priced. Their is lots to look at and explore while you wait all over their lot. They even have a riber in the back and some nice places to take romantic photos. This place feels very country and I like it.

    Bacon, Lettuce & Tomato

There's a few things I'll mention in this review. The cabin and restaurant itself is stunning. It's a gorgeous stop if you like the cabin vibe. There's a lot to see and enjoy if you like learning or viewing history. The food is where it gets choppy. I got the BLT, I know it's pretty basic but generally restaurants tend to make them better. This one was not it. It had one lettuce piece that was brown and rotten edged. It had one tomato in the center so a half slice of tomato per side. There were 3 pieces of bacon, one which was burnt and old. And the mayo had turned into some kind of rubbery slime texture. Overall not good at all! There was also a hair in my sandwich so I did not finish it. The staff was mediocre, they seem like they don't want to be there and are in general just sick of tourists or people. The waitress was nice enough but the lady at the "stump" was rude. She was snarky and made sure you knew how she felt. Get a job somewhere else. On the plus side there is cute cats roaming which is always a plus. Overall , if you absolutely need to stop I would. If you can make elsewhere that's what I suggest.

I Love Camp 18! Only had breakfast here but each time it's been enjoyable. The food is great with good size servings. The service is good and attentive. The atmosphere is incredible. Its like you are in a giant log cabin. There are also lots of cool things to look at outside and a cool gift shop.

Cinnamon Roll in comparison to my hand
    Chris L.

Limiting my review to just the cinnamon roll, which is the whole reason that I come here. It's AMAZING. It's absolutely massive, gooey, and warm. Cost is $10, which is good value considering it can feed a family of 4. Ambiance also is really nice. Always on our stop between the coast and Portland. Got a drip coffee but the price seemed a bit steep at $4.50. That said, we'll be back for that delicious cinnamon roll.

My French dip and my family and their food
    Georgia B.

My French dip was good but the beef broth was tasteless! They offered me another cup but it was exactly the same. I couldn't finish it. Plus our server was like a robot. No smile or asking how we were nor how or food was . I usually tip good if I get good service but I have as much as she gave in our service. I'll not be going back. It's expensive so think twice before going there.

Fresh house salad. Really good dressing

Love this place. Always a stop on the way to Seaside! Love their chowder. The atmosphere in here is really fun. You can get a siding of Bigfoot down by the creek. Stop in and enjoy a nice lunch or dinner and the ambience. There is a little gift shop that has a lot of cute little treasures

I've been there many times, and I've never had a bad meal. And if you had a problem, they would quickly resolve it. It's owned by the hardest-working woman I've ever met. She is always there to greet you with a warm and welcoming smile. I believe she started as a waitress. Then she bought the business, and now she also owns the building. I adore the sometimes-available lemon waffle, though in winter I really like the gingerbread one. I don't eat eggs Benedict, but my friends always love them. Love their lattes, and I am a coffee snob! Their scones are to die for. So take a couple home with you. The only downside is that it's terribly popular, so you will have to wait outside. It's very tight quarters. So if you're claustrophobic, this is not the place for you. They only take cash, but there's a cash machine across the street. That's why I've decided to stop hurting myself and go to the Chalkboard Cafe instead. The difference in quality of ingredients and cooking is apparent in the first bite. It really is a bit jarring. This restaurant makes everything from scratch, and I mean everything. Yesterday my son and I got two burgers and our potato salad and coleslaw sides were like sides my mother would make in her kitchen, not globs of shelf stable Reser's food-paste that were made two states over a month ago and sprayed with mortuary chemicals to stop their decay. The food at the Chalkboard is real food, not fake food, which brings me to my next point, dietary restrictions. If I had any dietary restrictions whatsoever, gluten sensitivity in particular, this would be where I would go for breakfast or lunch in Seaside. Chalkboard has gluten free biscuits and gravy available, delicious GF naan bread made by hand, and gluten free versions of popular bakery goods made in their small kitchen from scratch. Even if you don't have restrictions you can be assured that your meal will have 80% less total ingredients just based on the restaurant's ethics alone. They aren't taking shortcuts, they aren't bringing junk into the building in the first place, so junk never ends up on your plate. The service is stellar, the ambiance is charming and clean. I'll start with the positive: The French Toast is probably the best I've ever had! My wife ordered the French Toast, and after I tried a bite of hers, I ordered a piece. All of the ingredients were fresh; but the prices are a little higher than they ought to be. I ordered the Biscuits and Groovy. Biscuits is plural in the name. If there were 2 biscuits, they were tiny. If there was only 1 biscuit, maybe rename the item Biscuit & Groovy. In either case, there wasn't a lot of gravy. The wait wasn't bad. 30 minutes for a table for 2 on a Sunday in February. Can't imagine the wait in the Spring or Summer. We ordered 3 cocktails. Total for all three was $41. These were easily the most expensive 'mocktails' ever. None of them seemed to have much liquor. You aren't going to get lit at Yolk. All in all, 3.5 stars. But I wouldn't go back. And I definitely wouldn't wait more than 30 minutes to dine at Yolk.
