Went 9:30pm on summer night. Despite it being near closing they let me in. They have an intriguing front wall, almost like a garage door, that opens and closes on demand. It was open when I arrived, and I sat right near the edge between the inside and outside, which provided a really nice atmosphere for my meal. There was a good amount of crispy bread and eggplant sauce before the meal. I ordered a fried calzone with sausage because I asked the waiter whether it or the pizza rolls had more food. The calzone was fantastic with the table condiments and sauce. There was enough that I came hungry and didn't finish it. I weight train regularly and have a big appetite so this was remarkable. Service was good throughout. Everything was delivered in a timely way and with courtesy. I would say it was on the polite side of friendly. 8.5/10, enjoyed my experience and for a total of $25 including 20-25% tip I think it was well worth it. read more

Went to this establishment for the first time as I frequent the other two Campania's on staten island numerous times . Every one of these establishments make you feel important and catered to. They make you feel like family.. which to me is outstanding. The ambiance service and food all rank the highest level. They had several servers buzzing around the place and nothing was left unturned. They were on point with everything... even giving you another napkin if needed. I'm boasting about this place because my family and I were very satisfied with everything. Popped in here for a group dinner, reservation for 11 was taken without an issue. They seated us early and didn't mind that the whole party wasn't there. The restaurant opens up to outside for when the weather is nice. Tight quarters inside, if you're sitting along the walkway, you can get bumped by the staff periodically as they walk behind you with food and people walking around. There's a small bar and a bunch of large TVs for those who want to watch the games. There were two types of bread that they provided in the bread basket and also small bowls of what appeared to be cold pasta sauce which was actually quite good on the bread. I think this was the first time I had this particular topping for the fresh bread basket. Definitely one of the highlights of the meal. Turns out I couldn't order appetizers and then order the mains, they wanted it all at once. Also something strange but you figured it out eventually. Appetizers: - calamari was underwhelming and not crispy enough, sauce was plain - baked clams were not too bad but could have used a little more garlic and were on the smaller end - mussels in a red sauce, they were okay for me as I prefer a white wine garlic sauce but other people on the table wanted the red sauce Main course: - chicken marsala was definitely more heavy on the wine, not so much sweet and enjoyable as I've had elsewhere. Chicken was also a bit overcooked as it was hard to cut. Vegetables, though were quite good, and overall didn't feel very heavy other than for the fried potato mash with cheese on the side. - The black squid ink pasta with seafood was enjoyed by others but I only liked the pasta part, there were far too many pieces of squid for balance, shrimp was okay. For dessert, the chocolate gelato is a deep dark rich chocolate, about a little more than a scoop. Others raved about the sea bass and the pizza, we'll have to try that another time. Also, beware when they have the front open, as the evening went on, mosquitoes came in and made sitting there in shorts much less enjoyable. read more

Not here to complain about the food or service. It is good and the ambiance is nice. Can get a bit noisy. Have been a few times but not frequent therefore I did forget again. I want to go back someday (like to rotate and try new ones) but just annoyed again - felt more of a trick and this is why I am annoyed. Could be me being naive and not a restaurant connoisseur (even though I do go out to eat plenty of times) but my gut feels otherwise/just had dinner same weekend at two other restaurants). Most restaurants will ask if you would like to start with a drink and always give you a glass of tap water. When seated and asked if you want flat or frizzy water, make sure you know what kind of water you want. I will admit and again, could be me but if anyone reads yelp/reviews - and doubt it - many here are aware of Campagna and their three restaurants - if you want tap, say so or you will be charged $7 for a bottle of flat water. You won't have a chance to ask about the bottle they bring to your table right away and open. I wanted to say something but I was treated to dinner and did not want to make my host uncomfortable. Rooftop and outdoor seating available. Campania restaurant is a place one can go to celebrate any occasion. Menu is diverse and a great bar there isn't much missing from this establishment. Decor is modern with a spin on class, no wonder I witness a lot of tables filled with people celebrating birthdays. If you can't pick one style of pizza go for making the pie 1/2 and 1/2. Was looking for some pasta to taste, and we stopped in to Campania for a bite. A bit of a sports bar ambiance with 80's music. Our server, whose name we do not know, since he never mentioned it, came to greet us. He got our drinks very quickly, which was great. He disappeared for a little while but returned and was very attentive - did he see me on the Yelp page? We ordered meatballs for an appetizer, which was very good but took a long time. We did get extra bread to soak up the sauce. Mmm! For entree I ordered malfadine alla scallops and my husband piccante pizza. We both enjoyed our dishes, and they hit the spot! No dessert tonight. Have been here a few times and enjoyed the pizza and a few other app type items. Today we were a party of 3. Ordered "shrimp larocca" for the table. Deliciously prepared shrimp in a slightly spicy oreganata type mixture. My son had parpadelle with veal ragu that he thoroughly enjoyed. I had a dish with linguine topped with olives, capers mushrooms and hunks of salmon that was mouth watering. Wifey had a chicken wrap that she said was good. Service was excellent. We made reservations for Friday at 8 pm and sat a bit after 8. All good place hopping. Very busy. We were happy with table and server. This young lady was a tremendous server. From the get go the manager was giving me anxiety with his gesturing to servers and anxious behavior. Food was terrific but soured by the managers inability to separate patron from his need to seat people. Totally understand busy night but towards the end we felt rushed. After packing take home food manager swoops in and asks if we are having desert and grabs cash tip and says ' wasn't your server great'. I respond yes the best and the night was over. I definitely could have slowed him down by saying I want to see desert menu and dragging my feat but just wanted out. Slow this guy down. Maybe too stressful a job for him. Went to Campania (not the Kim K one) for the first time with a large group of people on a Saturday afternoon; seating was reasonable for four generations of loudmouth people altogether. We all shared appetizers like the fried calamari, which was good enough that I don't remember hating it, but not great enough that I really remember it well. My daughter got the pepperoni pizza which, despite being personal sized, was monstrously huge and she was fed off the pie for WEEKS (just kidding, but it was huge). I had a buffalo chicken roll, which I was assured was big enough to fill me up, and hot damn they did not lie. It was like a buffalo chicken roll ATE a modest buffalo chicken roll. It also had a really great spicy flavor, similar to what once was my favorite buffalo chicken roll, Paulie's on Bay St. (anyone remember Pauline"s? Man they ruled). A good amount of heat to really kick it up, but with really rich flavor. Top notch, can't recommend enough. The menu was intriguing and had lots of options, and the food we did have was so good, it justifies me coming back to try new items. I have driven by this place a dozen times since it opened and never went in. Started dining there this year and loved it. The restaurant is decorated elegantly. I love that the can open the side wall of windows and give you the feel of dining outdoors any where you sit. I've been to the Campania in Bay Ridge many times and have always had a great experience. This, unfortunately, is not the same establishment. I called and ordered a very routine meal for my family: a margherita pizza, meatballs, linguine with clam sauce, and a soda. After an hour, the food arrived. The pizza was ice cold. Fine. My mother dug into her linguine and could hardly eat it. The clams were salted to oblivion. We searched the bag and found that the soda was missing. We called to have the driver come back with the soda. Two hours and four phone calls later, we cancelled the soda that was allegedly on its way the whole time. Legend has it that the delivery driver is still roaming the streets of Staten Island with his ghost soda. Do not bother with this Campania location. Their food is trash. Their service is trash. Strong 3. Campania pizza is pretty good. Not amazing but pretty good considering the amount of pizza on Staten Island. I had their margherita pie and wasn't disappointed. The fresh mozzarella was on point but the sauce lacked depth. Maybe a hint of oil or garlic in the sauce would've taken it up a notch. The ambiance here is nice. I'd say they're going for an old school NY look with pictures of frank Sinatra and vintage fixtures throughout. Most importantly it looks fresh and clean here. The one star is for the linguine pescatore my daughter and I ordered and the manager's poor attitude. The pasta was dry. When I ordered more sauce, the server Angela B. brought it. I told her not to worry, because I don't like to complain. I just won't order the dish there anymore. She said, "but you didn't like it, you barely ate it, he should know." I went to Campania yesterday with my cousin and absolutely loved it. This is not my first time going to Campania, i have been here plenty of times before. The service and the waiters are great. They did mess up my order but i didn't even care because it still looked so good. I also ended up having 3 glasses of their sangria: 2 red 1 white and it's honestly the best sangria i've ever had hands down. For appetizer we got the fried shrimp which was so good and the truffle mac n cheese which hits the spot every time. I legit love this place and def will be back soon. read more

Well I ordered baked clams oregano, eggplant parmesan, and shrimp, oregano online. Upon returning to my home I opened it to eat and realized all I received was the three items , NO VREAD AND NO LEMON , how on earth eats those three items without bread !!
