We went in excited to look at different camping trailers as it was our first one and we have two small children so we didn't need anything fancy just something they could sleep in comfortably. We dealt with Shannon and I told him what price range I was wanting to stay around and when I told him that he lost all interest in working with us. He even took us to see a used RV that was nowhere near what I told him we wanted. He was constantly taking calls and would leave for 5 minutes at a time. I'm sorry but when you have a customer with you your focus should be on them. I asked if we could get some pricing information and he sent me with a pamphlet and said "thanks". It worked out because we went to another dealership, we were treated 100X better and got a beautiful RV. read more

I called on 10/24 and made an appointment with Camping World of Albuquerque to have our 2014 LTV Unity RV serviced. The appointment was for 10/31 so I brought the coach in on late afternoon of 10/30. Eric Romero was our assigned service advisor. I verbally provided Eric with a list of items to check and repair on the RV: Serious water leaks coming from pipe joints underneath sink. Bent/broken clevis-pin on Kwikee-Step at entry. Vent cover (which I provided) installation over Fantastic Fan on coach roof. DEF fluid top off/fill. Tire pressure check, add air if needed. When Eric finished writing the service request I asked him for a copy and he replied "no", and the troubles continued from there: Eric called me the next day (10/31) and left a message asking where to put the vent cover?? We just had this conversation the previous afternoon detailing where this cover should go. Later that evening when my wife came home from work she was shocked that I got no paperwork and no cost estimate for the work to be done. We drove 18 miles to CW that evening and insisted on it. As we waited on the paperwork we asked Eric about recommended tire pressures for our RV. He told us the tire pressures should be 80psi. We called manufacturer Leisure Travel Vans (LTV) in Canada later that day and they confirmed that 62psi should be the setting and that 80psi was much too high. I called Eric and requested that the tire pressure be lowered back down to 62psi and he said he would comply. When I picked up the coach on 11/7 the tire pressures were still at 80psi!!! I had to get Eric to reduce the pressure but he only did the front tires and claimed that the back tires weren't even touched and that the pressures should be similar to what we came in on. Eric said the hot water leak was due to a faulty bypass valve. Eric said CW could use their own bypass valve replacement kit, but we would need warranty approval from LT. We got the approval from LTV and allowed CW to do the work. When we got our vehicle back on 11/7, no one showed us that the system was working properly with no leaks. We even discovered that the anode probe was not screwed into the water heater AT ALL. The probe was propped up in the housing of the water heater. We wondered if the repair had even been tested. We also discovered that our fresh water hose had a significant amount of water still in it (we had drained it), AND the adaptor that connects to the RV for city water was missing!! We found it rolling around loose in one of the storage bays on the RV!! A couple days later (11/9) I went up on the roof of the Unity to check the sealant around the newly installed vent cover: the sealant was still soft and had not set since being applied approximately 9 days ago by CW. It hasn't rained in this otherwise dry climate since 11/1 but you'd think that the sealant would have set by now. Will this leak?? Overall extremely shoddy work particularly on systems that could have endangered my family: hot water heater anode not installed and seriously over inflated tires! We have no way of checking if the DEF was added or added correctly. No explanation or demonstration of the work done. We are so skeptical at this point we aren't sure what was done correctly. Getting it corrected required me to babysit the Unity at Camping World for an additional morning while they checked pressure in ALL tires, put the hot water system back together, re-pressurized, and demonstrated it for me. Turns out the sealant will stay soft for up to a year while still sealing, but no one took the time to explain that to me until I asked. ** If you need an RV repair in Albuquerque, do NOT go to Camping World. They get a NEGATIVE million star rating from me. ** read more

This place has been a nightmare. I originally had my slide out worked on in Camping World New Port Richey FL. They didn't fix the problem as the floor was seriously from the walls of the slide out. Now 10 days later, stuck in a hotel room in Albuquerque, I still do not have an estimate beyond "$3700 in labor plus $600-800 for materials". They have constantly stalled, too my RV apart and want $2200 just for me to be able to leave. Seriously, they ruined my birthday and July 4th trip. They don't care.. 6 days at least to get a part number and price.. 6 days to lookup a price and part of a Lippert Hydraulic Jack system (the most common I think).. read more

I couldn't give negative stars so 1 will have to do. This is the Camping World in Albuquerque NM. RUN, Do not walk AWAY from this retailer. The service department is the absolute worst. The service techs emptied their bowels in my toilet before it was delivered to me-BRAND NEW. You know that thing that happens when you don't wipe well enough and leave a "residue" of feces on the seat? Yup, that's what i was welcomed to when picking up my brand new trailer. Disgusting animals in the service department can't even use their own facilities to take a dump but they will use the customers toilet inside their RV instead? This is the work of pig -like people. This is not normal behavior. There is something wrong at the upper lever here and it rolls down to the other employees to not give any customer service. This is in addition to the other 3 things that were either broken or didn't work. This was a brand new RV that was not even ready for delivery. This should have been my first sign to GET AWAY and QUICK. Lesson learned. Not only does the service team use my commode, the service manager was completely rude and acted like i was an inconvenience for wanting top pick up a part to replace the broken one they sold to me. Put a deposit on a coach, day of arrival changed 4 times. Though we got a "good deal" it seemed that after we agreed we were to the price we were out of the picture for communication. Our salesman was very hard to get ahold of and didn't respond to text or call often at all. The product was great and that's why we purchased through them. The day of our walk through we showed up and bought some essential items and they couldn't find anyone for us to commence our walk through and delivery. Our salesman was not attentive at all. Miscommunication was evident throughout the process. Customer service was horrid. The front desk was the most helpful or of all of them. CWA would get 1 star if customer service and the customer centric model was the only thing they did. The coach they carried is what gave them 3. SHOP AROUND go here for the product not the customer care. Updated: 3 stars to 1 star Took more than a month to get it back from service Got it back and it's still broken Horrible management Horrible service department Horrible communication STAY AWAY at all costs. Do not give them a $ of your money and a second of your time. At the end of the day they have a company centric model vs a customer centric model. You buy from here you will be disappointed. I know it's common knowledge, but everyone should avoid Camping World. They are con artist and morons I went into to get my hitch fixed and they told we it was impossible to fix and that I had to buy a brand new hitch for 500.00. We went down the street and got it fixed for 30.00 including labor, parts and tip. Also, the guy helping us at Camping World seemed extremely high on something. He kept forgetting that he talked to me and what we were talking about. Like I was a new person every 5 minutes. Very odd. Hope this helps save some people some time and money. read more

Service Manager only gets "0" (zero or negative marks) while the technicians know their job and are great at doing it would get high marks. Please read all charges on your invoice. I found several bogus charges on my 1st invoice. They corrected it and gave me invoice #2. I again found errors of bogus charges and again, Brian...who was great!, corrected it after approval of the Service Manager Jennifer. I then was given invoice #3 and upon review notice there were additional charges on top of their advertised package prices. For example, the Slide-Out Maintenance "PACKAGE" has a price of $149.00. When inquiring about the charges for lubricant (Silicone $15.99 and conditioner ($13.99). The document that identifies what is included in the packages does state lubricant and labor. I was told by the Service Manager - Jennifer that the package deals are only to cover "labor". If the advertised packages only cover labor, why doesn't it just say labor for the following service and doesn't cover any supplies to perform the service. I also had the trailer de-winterized and was charged $19.75 for labor and $30.55 for shop supplies...excuse me, is the $30.55 for the water used to flush the water lines? Another bogus charge. Then after I brought all of the bogus charges Camping World was charging me did they say, that the $19.75 was a mistake and should have been closer to $39-$40 So much for my GoodSam's discount. Don't be mislead, make sure you receive a copy from the service desk on what is covered in their so called packages. I guess the underlining question is would I recommend "this" Camping World to anyone in need of service and the answer would be yes, because the technicians do good work...just be sure ahead of time you know what you are going to be charged for and go over your invoice to verify you are not getting ripped off. After this, I have to be honest after what happened to me and suspect bogus charges have been applied to most if not all customer invoices and have gone unnoticed and paid. Update 4-24-2019 I wanted to provide an update to the issues I had experienced. The management at Camping World called me and we were able to resolve my issues and policy going forward so the customer knows what to expect on their final bill. Greg treated me with great respect and provided first class customer support. I have no reservations going back to Camping World, Albuquerque NM. Contacted the service dept due to an engine service light that came on during my trip along Route 66. The returned my call but were unable to do the work I needed as they dont do the work on the chassis of the vehicle but they referred me to a great family run shop that took care of the problem quickly and got me back on the road. Was promised a referral bonus and never received it. Have called weekly to try to rectify some of these matters but nobody would would return my calls. This review is for their service department. We took our RV in for a few repairs, a 45 point inspection, and maintenance on our tv antenna and slide. The staff was great! We are full-timers and they worked with us on getting out repairs done over a period of three days--letting us have our house back each night so we could avoid getting a hotel room. The rig was kept clean throughout the service period (no dirty footprints or misc trash was left behind). The tech who was working on our rig, Rick, walked us through the repairs that he did each night and was very attentive to the items that needed to be fixed. In addition to getting all the work done a day early (right before Thanksgiving no less), he did a very thorough job diagnosing a very challenging electrical issue that we were having with the thermostat. We were completely satisfied with the level of service, the price, and the time it took to get our work done. As long as Rick is still working there, we will definitely bring our rig back the next time it needs repairs and we're in the Albuquerque area. read more

Arrived very late one evening and the place was already closed, so we headed to the local campground and pitched a tent. Well, more like "set up our camper" but you get the idea. We headed back up the morning and this place was a flurry of activity. Someone out front of the business was power washing the sidewalks, plenty of staff inside ready to help you, and salesmen waiting at the helm. Was immediately greeted at the front door by the welcoming receptionist. Told her that we were going shopping and she pointed us in the right direction. The store was a bit larger than our local Camping World but the layout was almost identical, so it helped us get around quickly. Lots of staff to help out without being annoying. Could it be that we were only the second customer of the day and that's why everyone was so cheerful? We were just finishing up our first 14-day trip in our new camper, so I had my shopping list and was ready to spend. CW always has some sort of sale going on, so that's always fun to compare prices and see if you are really getting a good deal. They don't match prices from local stores or online I was told at the register, so I didn't get that Fantastic Fan I've been chomping at the bit for. That was the only negative, but I won't hold that against this store. I grabbed a few other things, took pictures, made some more notes, and checked out. We renewed our Good Sam membership here at a discount and received another free night of camping too! The bathrooms are clean! The customer waiting room (way back behind the RV sales area) was very welcoming, lots of chairs and tables, TV, fresh coffee, packaged muffins/rolls, fresh popcorn, and the local newspaper ... and it was all free! Wow, that's very cool! ALL of the staff we ran into were very welcoming, friendly, smiling, helpful, courteous, kind, trustworthy ...ooops, my bad. But they were! If I'm ever in the area, I will most definitely stop by this place! Oh, I almost forgot. Most CWs have a free dump station, so as we were driving away, I headed to the service area to ask where that might be. The tech guy looked around (knowing they didn't have one) and said, "You can dump right here". Well, not *right* here, but there was a sewer connection near each of the service bays, so I backed up, hooked up and lightened my load! The service guy was a fisherman also, so we had a long discussion about long-range and Alaskan fishing. Very friendly and helpful guy. Thanks Camping World of Albuquerque!!! We went to Camping World in Albuquerque., NM. KC Coughran (salesman) and Klint Kane (finance) worked my husband and me over until we didn't know what we were signing. We bought a tiny sleeper trailer and they put things on the sales receipt that were never discussed (costing $800). They would not let us pay cash. They would not accept a check. I refused to finance but they said we could pay it off right away and there would be no penalty and we'd get a $500 credit. Well we didn't get the credit and we are stuck with a financed deal we didn't want. We are going to call the bank. I signed a contact true but they wore us down relentlessly and we are taking them to small claims. Bring a lawyer with you if you're going to deal with these people. read more

I have been having trouble with the electrical system on my Roadtrek. At a Camping World in Columbus I reported that I was having trouble with my electrical system and water pump. I was told I needed a new battery isolator so, through some scouting and help from friends, I had one shipped from New York to Camping World Albuquerque, where I had prearranged an appointment. The shop was busy so the shop manager took on what I though would be simple jobs of replacing the battery isolator and water pump, both of which are easily accessible. Rick told me the problem was not the isolator but was, instead, a faulty circuit breaker. He tracked it down which meant getting under the van and finding the circuit breaker behind the battery box and concealed behind a metal shield. After quite a lot of work he replaced the circuit breaker and double checked the coach and motor circuits. The result is that everything is working! The batteries and power sources are working better than they have since I bought the van, used, six years ago. All because Rick took the time and trouble to accurately diagnose the problem rather than simply slap in a new part! I am very impressed with his work and am grateful to Camping World Albuquerque for providing high quality service for a small RV that is on the road. Thank you! read more

My wife and I bought our first RV at Camping World in Albuquerque about a month ago. We made several trips to the dealership to look at models and ask questions. Christopher Kinlen and Shannon Curry of the sales staff were very helpful. They took the time to find out our wants and needs, and they answered all of our questions. We never felt rushed or pushed into making a decision. Even after the sale, that have continued to answer our questions. Greg Doney, the general manager, quickly and generously took care of a couple of issues on the day we picked up our trailer. Since then, we've had a couple of problems with our water heater, and the service department has been awesome. Both issues were promptly diagnosed and fixed with very little inconvenience to us. So the guy came and adjusted our window and camping world told us that the electrical problem wasn't a problem it was supposed to stop to keep the motor from overheating...but we weren't going to let them touch our rig again. Next morning pulling in the slides the whole front of the coach starts lowering. Then the fridge fuse blows! So now after camping world looked at our rig we have many more problems. Not a happy camper. Replace my generator ZERO STARS Stay away from this place! Do not buy an RV here. Customer service is a joke. Our salesman and the finance manager were great. The general manager is an arrogant A$$. "Buyer Beware"!!! I bought a new 42' Jayco Toy Hauler In November to use over my thanksgiving holiday. and I still have not been able to use my Trailer. The day I took delivery the generator did not work. I gave them the opportunity to fix it which they could not fix in there service department. Had to take it to a Cummings dealer. I was concerned that I had a new RV with a lemon for a generator. I spoke with the general manager regarding my concern and that I didn't want to drive a long distance to camp over the Christmas holiday on the 2nd attempt to use my new RV and have the generator fail again. He said just bring it back and we'll fix it. My reply was I'm trying to avoid the expense and aggravation of driving to the mountains to camp and set up to find the generator not work again and then have to leave and return it at my expense. I then said I'd prefer if it fails again I want a new generator. The manager advised it won't happen again and if it did he'd replace it! Mistake #1 on my part, I should have gotten his promise in writing. Christmas vacation comes, I drive up into the mountains and bingo! Generator quits working. We're dry camping so no heat or water so we freeze our butts off, temperature below 30°, we tuff the night out and leave the next morning and drive directly back to Camping World. I asked to speak with the general manager and he instantly starts back peddling about the replacement. I ask them to take the generator out while I'm there and he refuses and said it's too much work and they might not get reimbursed for the labor and that I have to take my RV to a Cummings repair center! Zero Customer service!!! I leave angered even more. I took the RV to the Cummings repair center before Christmas and my generator is still not repaired and it's going on the 2nd week in January. I then call Camping World's corporate office to complain about the general manager. I'm assured I'll hear from a team within 24-48 hours. Well the week after Christmas I still hadn't heard from anyone so I call corporate again and they say the general manager I was complaining about closed out the case! Wow how convenient. So I file another complaint and was advised once again that I'd hear from a team of managers in 24-48 hours. This time, I don't hear from anyone for another week; so much for 24-48 hours. I call again and was advised they didn't understand why no one has contacted me yet but they re-filed another complaint and assured me I'd hear from someone by Monday which is tomorrow. All of this could have simply been avoided by just replacing my POS generator and they would have had a customer for life. DO NOT BUY an RV from this place. They're nice before you buy but after you purchase, they could care less about you and do not stand behind the product they sell! All these problems and I hadn't made the first payment on the RV yet. read more

After credit forms filled out and spoke with finance, was told we were going to get camper and to pick up on certain date. Went home sold our old camper in 2 days for dirt cheap to get rid of. Then told we qualified for a ridiculous interest. Decided to get financed through bank and camping world would not cooperate with bank to give paperwork needed. BUYER BE AWARE!!!!! From the moment we were introduced to the sales rep we got a bad vibe. Before even getting to know us she wanted to know my SSN to do a credit check. We informed her we wanted to see what she had before we talk numbers. Then she wanted our address. She was very persistent. I told her again if we found something we liked then I'll provide the information. I told her the size truck I had, what we were looking for and what we wanted to avoid. There were two specific brands we didn't want to see. She immediately got defensive asking why we didn't like them insisting they were some of the better products on the market. She was very rude when I told her that the information I had came from personal experience and family/friend recommendations. The whole time she kept saying how she had so many units she wanted to show us but that we refused so why waste her time. Then when we went to get on the golf cart she told me and my wife that one of us had to sit up front because she didn't want to pop a wheelie with two bigger women in the back. She had done that before. She basically called us fat. We ended up finding a unit we liked and wanted to talk numbers. I still didn't give my SSN which upset her. She brought back an offer which I said was way too high. I told her a different camping world had the same unit for 5k less than what they were trying to sell it for. When she brought back the second off they had tacked on freight charge after they lowered the cost to match the other camping world. I told them to remove it but they insisted it was mandatory. Then I told them I had already gotten pre-approved from my bank. The next offer I got they added yet another charge because I wasn't financing through them. In all they tacked on an extra $7000 dollars because I called them out on overpricing and I wanted to use my bank instead of theirs. There were other BS charges like prep fee and legal document fees. We ended up walking away from the table. Two days later I get a call from the same lady saying she was able to get the price we wanted with some fees waived, all she needed was a credit card for the down deposit. I refuse to do anything over the phone so I drove back out there, 40 mins away, to look at it on paper. When I got there nothing had changed, the price was still the same. I asked her why she lied and she told me in front of her manager she had a brain fart. Then they both lied to me saying that if they pulled my credit to finance through them it wouldn't hurt my credit because "I'm shopping for an RV within 30 days so the creditors know this and it won't hurt my credit." When I asked my loan officer at our bank he told me otherwise, that anytime you pull your credit it's a hit. So my wife and I were lied to MANY times during our experience with the sales department. Don't get me wrong their parts department is great but I will never purchase an RV from ABQ Camping World and I've warned all my friends and family. It took 6 months and a lot of pressure to finally get our camper back the day we were scheduled to leave for a trip. When we arrived to pick up the camper all the lower compartments were unlocked and our $1200 NEW inverter generators (which they were supposed to use to repair an item they didn't address) were gone. Rick in service claimed it's a "common problem" and we needed to just replace them, send Camping World the receipt and they would reimburse us. With no generators we were forced to postpone our scheduled trip. Conveniently, Rick is no longer with Camping World and they are now unwilling to reimburse us for our stolen generators. In addition Jennifer was very nasty in relaying the message that they would not be honoring their agreement. I will never set foot in Camping World again. read more

I would give lower than one star if I could. My husband and I visited this location on 3 different instances and each one was awful. Really not sure why we gave 3 chances but I would never recommend this RV dealership. The first time we went they just pointed us in the direction of the RVs and no one ever bothered to help. The second time, it was evident that the salesman was just about a sale (which I am sure he gets a commission) but he said he would look around for us and never called us back nor bothered to look. The third time we went in, we saw a unit advertised on FB for $18499 and when we got there the salesman (who was a different man from the 2nd visit) must have told us 30 lies in 30 minutes. He then told us the price was wrong and by the time we left it should be changed. He never showed us the unit we went to see and immediately took us to a more expensive unit. When I told him it wasn't within the price range we were looking, he told us we were crazy to think we would find a unit for less. All the while, the people in the office next to us was told the $18499 would be a total of $21000 after all fees. I would recommend you AVOID THIS RV DEALER AT ALL COST and stop at Albuquerque RV. Camping World sales people are not about the customer and has horrible customer service. Save yourself the hassle. read more

Be careful when dealing with this company. They don't keep their word. When we finalizing our deal they tried to add $10,000.00 to our loan for a service contract. They said that they got us approved because of this service contract. Insinuating we would not have gotten approved without it. We have very good credit so that was not the case. They wanted us to sign up for a 17 year loan. I wonder how many people they have deceived with this tactic? Upon delivery there is a light on the front of the trailer that did not work, so they offered us a $50.00 cash card to make up for it. Here it is over two months with no card. We have called multiple times over the last 3 weeks with only one return phone call today 5/26/2021 and the person I spoke with said they don't give out cash cards and offered me a camping world card, which does me no good since we live well over 200 miles from camping world. Make sure you know what you are signing before you do. If they can slip it by you they will. We will NEVER spend any money with Camping World Again because they can not be trusted and they don't keep their word. Over the years we have purchased travel trailers and R.V. supplies and items from camping world with no problems. But this location is run by sharks they promise the moon and deliver rotten eggs... read more

Customer beware! We took our RV in for several cosmetic items. Five weeks later we finally got it back. Both batteries were totally dead. One was leaking acid. Neither will hold a charge. The fantastic fan in the living room was left on. It no longer works--apparently burned out. We called back to complain. Jennifer Housand, the service manager, called in response to our complaint. She had the RV picked up and taken back to Camping World. She sent an email stating that the batteries were 4 years old and at the expected end of their life span. She also stated that the fantastic fan was never turned on. This despite the fact that the service advisor called to asked where we kept the remote for the fantastic fan and to say they had a hard time opening the French door to the living area. Ms. Housand stated that the fan must have activated because the thermostat did so. That defies credulity. The fan cannot magically turn on unless the thermostat is set for a temperature. When we took the RV in the batteries held a charge and the fantastic fan thermostat was set to off. After spending a great deal of time and money, we now find ourselves needing to spend more of both before we can leave on our planned trip. Cannot under any circumstances recommend service at Camping World. If the option existed to rate this company lower, I would most certainly do so. read more
