Twice, two rounds, I attempted to be a customer by B2B. Their website is coded wrong and you cannot connect to the right location. After I wasted an afternoon, and was asked why I was flooding one locations inbox, I tried again. The second time I made sure to contact the correct 'camping world' by pre-selecting the location and contacting them directly through the website. They have it setup that even when you email the location, if the home location isn't set, they do not contact the correct location. I adjusted homebase each time and guess what. Same main location contacted me and not the others. Either the site is coded wrong or they have a virtual "bouncer" that won't allow you to contact the other sites in the quad-state area. read more

To get a camper warranty estimate done they require you to leave your camper with them for 7-14 DAYS. This is with an appointment... you drop it off for 7-14 days. An estimate should be a scheduled time and take a few hours max... like most other places. This is ridiculous and almost laughable! Update- we have already contacted Camping World customer service and the above 7-14 days is what they confirmed. We took our RV to General RV and it was done in a little over 2 hours. read more

Bought a camper yesterday and let me tell you that sales will say things are included that are not. Went through the entire looking around at different models and all that good stuff "the fun stuff" found what we liked and in our price range and we were told at least 4 different times that the backup camera was included asked multiple times also, go in two days later for the walk around and there is no camera! Long story short, fought politely and met half way on price. Now to the final sale was never giving the opportunity or option to decline extended warranty bs paint protection and all the rigmarole that comes with sales, ran my credit with all that included for way more $ than we expected! Now I don't like my credit being ran multiple times so stupidly I signed " I know I should have walked I know" just a warning if it's not what you want or what you were told just walk away. read more

Don't buy from Cortland. Had purchased a 2021 travel trailer and spent 26,000 on what we thought was a great deal. But on our first local trip sure enough it pours on the site and leaked like crazy. Got home and called our sales person to no avail. Told her about the problem and she said she would call back, never did. Sent email, never responded. I realize I had bought a used trailer but how do you test for water leak at the dealer? Kinda felt like you had my money now tough SH_T. Two faced, it pissed me off. read more

DO NOT buy from Camping World in Cortland. We spent $84k on a 5th wheel toy hauler. Within a week, the air conditioner went out on the first use and the generator is not working. I took it back to Camping World in Cortland where it sat for 2 months without any repairs or updates. I just picked up my camper as my family is flying in from Texas and Arizona and they will have no where to stay. This is beyond ridiculous. BUYER BEWARE! read more

We bought our camper from Camping World Courtland, IL back in August. We had a great experience with the purchase of our new camper and trade in of our old camper, however it has since been a joke. 1. We paid a dealer prep fee (which is standard on all sales) only to take our camper out 1 week later and have the sink drain in our bathroom not be hooked up so water ran all over the bathroom. And the water heater did not work. Thankfully my husband is a handy person and our trip was not ruined by this. Camping world offered to send us the new part needed for the hot water heater so my husband could fix it correctly. 4 months later we haven't received said part. 2. The bigger issue is that we have yet to receive our title or license. We bought our camper August 12, 2023. Realized in December that they never transferred our old license plates like they were supposed to and we have yet to receive our title. We did not finance. Multiple phone calls to both Courtland and Rockford, we keep getting the run around. I believe state of IL says they have 20 days to submit title paperwork, we're going on 5 months. After all of these hassles we will never do business with Camping World again. read more

I brought my RV in for some simple fixes, a wash and oil change. They never created an itemized list of the work to be performed. They didn't call me to verify costs. They never received my approval to do the work, yet they proceeded. I would never bring anything there ever again and advise others not to go there for service. They are dishonest and very misleading with their communications with customers. read more

Glad Holiday Hour is no longer. Bought a jayco travel trailer in 2014. The trailer wasn't inspected before hand off by dealer. Discovered issues first trip out and had to bring it back for service. We bought the grey/black water hookup on line...the connectors were at first difficult to secure. We asked the owner for assistance in figuring it out (this was our first rv) "you didn't buy that from me" he said and then went back to talking with his wife, dismissing us completely. We now live in Utah but if we continued to live in IL we never ever would trade with the old dealership again. read more

We tried to complete this deal on our RV. We were pleasantly greeted when we went to DeKalb and asked for the sales manager. He explained that they would need to pull the truck and camper to the other side and take 45 minutes to an hour to look through everything and work out an offer. We also spoke to another of the family who own the dealership. After an hour and a half the sales manager came back with a wild list of everything he said was wrong with our RV. He had cracks in fan, air conditioner didn't work on down the line and offered "about $15,000" due to the need to fix a lot. He also made an example that they would need to totally replace the tires because they were more than 5 years old. I explained that I had traded emails with Camping World and he did not say anything except that his guy is Tom and the total upper end on an offer could be $17,500. I dug out the email I had and showed it to them and asked him to contact his regional manager. He came back 10 minutes later and said he couldn't do anything with the corporate offer. This was total BS. The air conditioner worked when we used it, and the supposed malfunctioned light came on when I flipped the switch. As for the tires, it is 2022 so tires on a 2019 RV are not more than 5 years old. We walked out of the dealership. We had made arrangements at a different dealership in a different town to buy a new RV. Our salesman actually had previously worked in DeKalb at this dealership. When we were picking up our RV and trading in the old one, the salesman showed text messages from a management employee at DeKalb from the day before. He was texting that our RV was junk and needed work. Then he made other texts including a claim that he sold us an RV for $10,000 less than the deal we had reached with a different dealership which was an utter lie. When the crew at the second dealership looked at our RV, the tires were fine, all lights and air conditioner worked and there were no roof cracks. We purchased a Jayco North Point in June and one of the motors is already malfunctioning. We scheduled our service appointment and our camper was not serviced for 4 days after being on the lot. This is a HUGE inconveneince as we just moved 1000 miles away and our appointment was set around my husbands business travel. After diagnosing the issue we needed a new motor. We were told the part would not be in for 4 weeks. After the service tech made a call to Jayco we were promised a 24 hour turnaround. Needless to say our camper is still not fixed and with no other option we brought our non functioning camper home. Now we are out 2 more weeks to get it into a local authorized Jayco dealer. If the service department would have serviced on camper on the schedule appointment and had the service tech not taken vacation this issue could have been resolved! read more

Just picked up our Jayco Pinnicle fifth wheel. It is our first RV ever. Mike spent 5 hours explaining it. He would have spent more time if we needed it. THEY WERE GREAT. I'll update this review in the future if and when we need service. We had to bring in the fifth wheel for some minor warranty issues. Again, Holiday Hour RV surpassed our expectations. If you don't buy you Jayco here, you are dumb. read more

Jeff was excellent and friendly and showed us a 2016 Jayco Eagle 321 RSTS model and did a great job of explaining the all features. We ended up buying that unit the same day. We drove 500 miles on cold rainy day. I ask Jeff to have all the different systems on and operational so we could check things out. When we got there every thing was on and inside was warm and operational except water and A/C which was understandable due to the weather. We had to dodge a few storms before planning to pick it up. The owners Rick and Lisa came in on a Sunday to do the final paper work and get us hooked up and on our way. All I can say in short is First class operation. And will up grade here next time. We found a trailer on there web site that we were very interested in purchasing. This trailer did not have some of the options that we wanted . We asked for the cost of an ordered unit and gave them a list of how we would like it built using the Forest River work sheet. They said they would get back to us with the cost the next day. WE DID NOT HERE FROM THEN FOR A WEEK. I called them to see what the hold up on cost was. Once again they said the sales person would call us. WE DID NOT HERE FROM THEM AGAIN. After waiting another week for a cost we returned to the dealer. We met with the sales person. He came back to our meeting with a manager. (old school sales techniques) The manager tried very hard to sell us the trailer that he had on the lot. We were ready to order. Still after all this, two visits, and waiting two week for the cost on an ordered trailer. WE NEVER DID GET A PRICE FROM THEM. How do they stay in business? We have taken our order to another dealer that worked with us with out any problems. read more
