We are in process for an RV repair through the manufacturer which has to be completed by Camping World because they are the closet dealer to us. That said, they are still 80 miles from where we live. The next closest dealer is 120 miles from us. After our experiences so far on this repair, we would love to take our brand new trailer somewhere else, but are stuck. I am really hoping that the rest of the repair and service (including customer service, which so far is none existent) goes better and I'll be able to repost a good review! We started this process to get our 2015 trailer, which we purchased at a Camping World in ID in July, repaired immediately after it started leaking in November. Camping World couldn't find the problem even though it was still wet inside when we took it to them, and they claimed that it was user error on our part. In December, the manufacturer contacted us, telling us about the problem with the rock guard window and authorizing all associated repairs. It took a full month, with several phone calls and emails, to even get Camping World to set an appointment for the repairs. We then drove our RV 80 miles to them only to have them tell us to come get it 3 days later because they needed to order parts which would take 2 weeks to ship. So, we drove the 80 miles each way after work on a weeknight to bring our trailer home in the rain so we could put it under cover. More than 2 weeks later, we had not heard a thing about a new appointment for the repair, so contacted Camping World again. The WINDOW was the part they needed to order, and it hadn't shipped yet. It would be really nice if they could at least keep us updated. I really do not understand why they had us drive it all the way there only to THEN order the part that we and the manufacturer told them they needed. If you have another option for service for your RV, I would recommend you go with that and avoid Camping World! I will be happy to withdraw this review and write a new one if I receive satisfaction with the rest of our repair! read more

Parts Dept! As I call in to check in for a part and expect to be helped and guided to what my choices would be; I get a customer service representative with an attitude. I asked for manager whom seemed to do a little better but the attitude was more leaning to she doesn't care and gave me false information to send me on my way. I will no longer do business here. I work hard to have a pleasant experience in what I thought was " CAMPING WORLD" expecting professional and knowledgeable experience. However for all I know is that we got another CSR that pretended to be a manager. If you want to feel like you don't matter this is the place for you. If you feel like you should be treated with dignity and respect with helping experience; then run and go to a better RV store. This one is OUT OF ORDER" in customer service and knowledge. Would you trust someone like that to help when you are out on the road with and RV? This makes a difference between "SAFETY AND YOUR LIFE" ! But to Service if they are not in the mood they feel they have the license to treat you unprofessionally. HOW ETHICAL IS THAT? THANKS CAMPING WORLD !!!!! read more

We took our trailer here for needed repairs. They kept it for 2 weeks awaiting parts. During this time a transient moved into it. When we picked it up there was a shopping cart full of his belongings and some of ours were missing. It reeks of smoke. They had the keys and it was on their lot the entire time. Our cushions and curtains are ruined, and all the bedding stinks. We have not been given any compensation. The sales manager said, 'sorry'. They arrested the guy in another trailer. By the way, we spent over $3800 getting the service and repairs taken care of. read more

By far the Service Department at this Camping World in Tacoma has been the best experience yet. After reading the reviews for CW Tacoma here on yelp, I want to post this review for my fellow RV'ers to give them an opportunity to choose CW Tacoma's repair work over other RV repair businesses including other Camping Worlds. In my opinion it's worth it to drive to Tacoma if you have a repair that needs to be done right the first time. In general, we have not had good experiences with repair at other camping worlds. This time, our situation was a lengthy and complicated one. Starting with Lisa on the phone, in the warranty repair department, followed by Lacey our service writer, to Doug the hardest working service manager running all departments and attending to a variety of tasks, to last but not least our excellent technicians Supervisor Pat and technician Chase we send out a heartfelt thank you and sincere appreciation for a job well done including their professionalism, courtesy, caring and friendliness. What an effortless experience! A final note about the previous reviews on yelp. They seem to be complaints about the clerks at the check out in the retail part of the store. Fair enough to post a negative customer service experience but I'm not sure those type of experiences are worthy of giving a business one star. Bought a new Jayco travel trailer in January. Table was broken when we purchased it but they said it would be fixed before we picked it up. Picked it up and table wasn't repaired. Made a schedule to bring it back to have the table repaired. Also had the dewinterize done which cost over $70. Brought back to have table repaired and ask why the onboard water pump wasn't working. Turns out that they never did the dewinterization which would explain why I had to flush the system to get all the anti-freeze out. Pump wasn't working because they never turned the valve which would have been done had they actually dewinterized it. Argued for an hour with the service manager to get my $70 back for the work that wasn't done while he rolled his eyes and treated me as an annoyance for taking up his time. Jo, the service desk woman lied to me and said that they never flush the system of the anti-freeze but the technician said in front of her and the service manager that they always flush the system after a de-winterize and yet they continued to argue. No respect to customers who just spent nearly $30,000 and to argue and lie is beyond just dishonest. Still haven't received my refund check. read more

Took my RV in because I was having an issue with my propane not heating my water. Thought since I had to take it in to also get an oil change and 45 point inspection just to make sure everything was okay. I knew months ago I had a backup light out so I figured when they did they inspection they could replace the bulb. They told me it would probably take a few hours. I called them about 4 1/2 hrs later to check on the status and they informed me one of the technicians had a family emergency and had to leave early. I totally understand things happens but they said it would be finished up the next morning. I finally called the next day around 1pm since I hadn't heard from them. My RV still wasn't done and they informed me they were two technicians short that day. I finally got called around 5pm to tell me everything was done, couldn't find anything wrong with my hot water heater and nothing was found on my 45 point inspection. After we picked up the RV we were backing it into the driveway when I saw the backup light. It still was out but on my inspection it had been checked. I called immediately and the service guy said he was going to tell his service manager about this. I asked if the rest of the inspection that I paid about $250 was actually done or just pencil whipped. He then asked me if I wanted a call back after he spoke to the manager and all I could do was laugh! Of course I want a call back, this is unacceptable. I paid over $500 today and not sure if I actually had more than an oil change done. I will never take my RV there again. read more

I went to Camping World to get help finding a leak in my motorhome. The service manager walked on the roof and claimed that I needed a new shroud on the air conditioner. I asked them to replace the seals on the AC and look for evidence of any leaks, as well as replace the shroud. The outcome was that there was no attention paid to looking for evidence of any leak and the broken shroud could have been repaired with a small application of fiberglass but was still serviceable as was. I spent over $500 on what amounts to a waste of money. They weren't trying to help me, only make a sale. The motorhome still leaks. read more

An on-going nightmare is what we experienced. We decided to check out the RV's at the Camping World in Lowell, Arkansas in January 2018 and told the salesman we wanted to stay under a certain price. He showed us a very nice Fifth Wheel that he stated was in our price range, as we became more interested in it, he suddenly realized it was $5,000 higher. After he showed us several other RV's, we found another we liked and he said it was $2,000 more than it showed on their very own website!! When we told him, they then lowered the price. After the contracts were completed, we got home and discovered a number of items had been tacked on which we were never informed about. The fine print on the contract said we could rescind some of the charges within the first 30 days, which we did. They said we would be refunded with those 30 days, no problem. That was 3 months ago!! All we get is a run-around. Over $1,000. is owed to us but they just lie and make excuses. No return calls. We have purchased many RV's over the years as our family grew and have never been treated like this. These folks use every trick in the book. If you shop here, watch your back. read more

The service level is absolutely horrible. I've spoken to many other customers in line at the service center and received the same story. I bought a fairly high end fifth wheel. The main A/C broke the first day. That was almost three weeks ago. They got approval for the warranty work 10 days ago and notified me this morning they just ordered the part. Don't think that an appointment means the RV will be seen that day. That's just an appointment to drop it off so they can get to it when they get to it. Full timers should never, ever go anywhere near this place to purchase an RV. Trust me. You will regret it. I bought the RV in the middle of July. I can see that I will sweat all summer until they finally fix it when I no longer need it. You've been warned! Purchase here at your own risk. I've owned many RV from 3 other dealers. I called ahead to find out if the store had an item I was looking for. The person who answered the phone said there were several of this item on the shelves. We traveled 50 miles to purchase the item. When we arrived there were no items on the shelf. We notified the staff at the register we had called ahead and was assured the heated hose was in stock. Jasmine and Kathy searched everywhere and found one last hose in stock. Although we were very upset to start with these two ladies did every thing they could to meet our needs. read more

We brought our brand new car in to have Camping World install the towing equipment for our RV. We were to bring in the car on Wed for them to install all the equipment and Saturday for the RV to install that part of it. Well, they didn't call us to tell us that they didn't have enough time to do anything to the car before the RV came in and left us in the dark until we showed up on Sat. Needless to say we spent the entire day in the store and didn't have a vehicle to leave. Then we get home and find a scratch on the bumper which looks like they tried to fit the pipe into the hole and missed. They said it was our fault when we tried to hook it up to the tow bar. But we didn't do any towing!!!!! Then I found out that they ruined 10 codes on the vehicle. The Service manager, Doug said he put it on his diagnostic equipment and everything was good. But it wasn't when I took it to the dealer. All this happened in February and here it is July. They are arrogant and dismissing and not even apologetic at the least. I bought a new class C unit from you on Dec. 27th 2016 at the Strafford MO Store. (A 30FE.) I Tried it out on Saturday after I bought it and seen it had a lot of problems in the electrical in the camper and also the drive line. I taken it back the next work day after the 1st. The tec. said it will take about a month. to fix it and I would have to take it back to a Ford dealer for the drive line. I told him there was no way I could because the Ford Dealer in Springfield mo could not get it in there shop due to the size of the unit and the next Dealers is over a 100 miles away. They told me that that was the way it cam in from Indiana. I said that I would be afraid to drive it with the drive line that way. This upsets me when you buy a new unit and have all these problems with it. Also I look on line and see the same units is more then $2000.00 less then what I paid for it there at other Camping Worlds. You can see why I would be upset and my wife is even more upset over it.I bought this camper so I can take my Grandchildren on a vacation that they would never have a Chance to go on. read more

Wow, wish I'd read the reviews before I bought from these losers. Run, run, run! If I could I wouldn't give them even one star. Three weeks ago I ordered a washer/dryer combination machine from Camping World online for my kitchen reno project. I scheduled delivery for a week later to coincide with when my contractor would be onsite to install. Customer service gave me a 10 to 2 window. Now the fun began. The day arrived - 2pm came and went with no sign of the delivery (my contractor had left by then). After 3 pm a huge semi pulled up with my little washer/dryer - a semi which had no lift gate and no hand-truck with which to deliver the 150 lb washer! The driver indicated that he was just the driver, not a delivery guy - had to be convinced to off-load the machine. I loaned him my hand-truck to roll the machine into my courtyard. Noticing a damaged corner on the box, I tore the shipping box open down the side to check for damage to the machine. There was a crack down the center of the top panel of the machine - took pictures of the box and the damaged machine and rejected shipment. The driver had to get help from a neighbor to reload the washer into the truck. I contacted Camping World the next day to get a replacement. Delivery of the replacement was scheduled for Tuesday 2 Sep between 10 and 2. The delivery didn't show up at all on Tuesday. Yesterday at 3 pm a similar truck pulled up in front of my house. Again there was only the driver - no lift gate, no hand-truck. But it was a moot point since when I looked in the back of the truck the only thing in it was the exact same machine I rejected the previous week! The only thing they had done was zip-strap the box shut and put it back on the truck! How stupid do they think I am that they didn't think I'd notice? read more
