We found the camper we wanted on their website, and called ahead to confirm it was still there. Our salesperson, Anthony, was friendly and patient, helping us compare it to other campers but not trying to upsell us. When it came to the paperwork, there were a few of the typical car-sales add-on packages, and we decided on one of them but they accepted it what we declined and it didn't take long. They even let us bring our dog into the lobby. We had a trade-in, and I felt like the offer was fair. They wanted to finalize the deal that month, but Anthony met us where we normally commute to sign and complete payment so we didn't have to make a long weeknight trip. There was a mis-communication about the price, but they fixed it in our favor and we still got a nice bonus freebie. It's nice that they include a Good Sam Club membership with the trailer, too, which saves us a bit at some RV parks. I think the only disappointment was how disorganized they were when we came to pick it up. We got a tutorial on how everything works (we're beginners with modern campers), but it was brief and I didn't think of all my questions until later. The service department was eager to get our keys, but I had to stop them to make sure they knew what we needed done, and they tried to install a special hitch that we had decided to buy later. They did get the hitch ball switched to fit the new trailer, but it took awhile to get someone to help me hitch it up right. We discovered after we drove off that one side's brake and turn signal light didn't work, and I thought it might be a burned-out bulb. It turned out that the bulb was installed backwards which was easy to fix, but you wouldn't think they'd let someone leave the lot without checking all the lights. We normally do that ourselves every time we hitch up, but it was all new and different so I forgot. read more

Update to 9/2014 review: as it turned out, they continued to completely deny the entire mishap ever happened - INCLUDING the service guys. So my insurance dropped it with them, since I didn't get pics at the time. Lesson learned. Although in their controlled chaos, they also forgot to charge me for the stabilizer bars lol - I'll chalk that up to Karma - $200 or so of my $500 deductible back, due to more of their incompetency. Emailed corporate - no response. Not surprised. Have seen quite a few more bad reviews on here since - wish I had looked before I'd purchased from them. I wish it was possible to give a negative review because one star just does not seem right to give an organization was with such horrible customer service. Nobody answers the phone in the service department, it actually took me driving over an hour to this location just to make the appointment in the first place. Once the appointment was made, confirming that that appointment was an act of futility which resulted in me calling, asking for a manager and having that manager personally walk down to the service department to confirm my reservation because nobody would call back. The staff is absolutely incompetent and I don't believe that anybody at least with whom I have dealt is trained in the least bit to properly service and RV. I have had to literally hold hands with the service department to get them to do what I had discussed with Coleman regarding the air-conditioning unit. Getting the service department to act may prompt fashion with professionalism and boys is just not going to happen. I have wasted a terrific amount of time calling and or driving to this location in order to get my RV serviced properly and I believe that my RV, while still not fixed, we only get fixed if I am hovering right over the top of everybody to make sure that it does get fixed in the right way. As usual, lots of excuses about high turnover and being understaffed. If I could give a zero star I would..... 1st off the sales team is not in a hurry to sell. They knew I was under a time constraint moving from California and I ended up sleeping on a friends floor for a week as they sat on the paperwork that had already been loan approved. At one point I was told, "you aren't our only customer", which any reasonable person knows, But shouldn't customers be treated as if they matter? When I had my walk thru, I was shown very basic things, I am living in the RV full time and learned there was so much more I should of been shown. Once they delivered and I went to plug it in, it was then I noticed the frayed cord (I attached a picture). This should of been caught if they did a proper inspection, as well as when it was plugged in and unplugged for my walk thru. Of course they did not show me the plug during walk thru. Next I have been smelling propane and had a bigger tank brought in since I am living in it full time. During the instillation I was shown a leak in one of the hoses and the regulator. Again these would of been caught during an inspection, if done properly. Each person I deal with that does RV maintenance and upkeep tells me they have only heard negative about this camping world. First off, I am a first time RV buyer, and I have yet to take my trailer in for any service, so my review is only in regards to sales. After spending 3 months deciding what trailer I actually wanted, I started trading emails with Vicki from Camping World about it. She was very helpful and responsive, even just over email. The quote initially provided me for a Jayco Eagle 284BHBE (custom order) seemed mostly reasonable, but I like to shop around, so I called every other Jayco dealer I could find in 3 states and got them to send me quotes for the same trailer order. It turns out that was a very good plan. When I took the best offer back to Camping World, they came in within $500 of the lowest quote, which is fine, because they're local and I would spend that much picking up the trailer from another state anyway. In the end, the price I paid was nearly $5,000 less than the initial quote (which was already several thousand dollars less than the MSRP on the web). Note that, if they hadn't come down, I'd have made the trip to another state and taken the lower price. I don't mind driving a few hundred miles to save a few thousand dollars. Note that I don't have any ill-will toward Camping World about this, I expected them to high-ball the offer and then negotiate down, that's just (sadly) the way these things work. I feel I got a very fair deal in the end, and the price negotiations were all done over email, so it was low-stress. I put down a $3000 deposit, which is high, but I don't have a problem with that as I was going to be buying it anyway and that was just a little more than 10% of the final price. I understand the deposit is basically insurance for the dealer in case the buyer backs out of the agreement, and I don't really blame them. I'd ask the same in their position. It took 9 weeks for Jayco to deliver the new trailer. I scheduled my appointment with camping world and they were very accommodating with the extra time I wanted to spend looking over all the little details. I did determine that the furnace wasn't working, which they fixed on site while I went to eat lunch. Note that I declined to do any paperwork until my personal inspection was completed and the furnace fixed, I believe this is key to having a good purchase experience at any car or RV dealer - i.e. make sure you get what you want before you sign anything. The paperwork was very smooth, no surprises, and Camping World actually found financing through their network that was better than what I found looking on my own. I declined to sign the paper they presented which would waive my rights to sue them if I had a problem with the trailer or their service. They didn't complain about that either, which surprised me. In the end, my advice is: * Stay calm when negotiating price and do it over email if you can. * Don't sign anything until you have what you want. * If you don't like something, politely say so. Be firm but pleasant. The experience was actually pretty much stress free. Everyone I met at the dealership was very helpful and I came away with a trailer that I love. We went to camping world in hopes to trade in and get a new 5th wheel for full timing. It was a 2 hour drive for us so not close. We were treated almost as an inconvenience, an annoyance. Craig the sales person we were working with already had set in his mind what he wanted to sell us. seemed irritated that it was not quite what we were looking for . when we asked if we could look around and see other things he was clearly frustrated and did not seem to want to do that. He tried very hard to convenience us that we would not find anything else that would work for us. He also made sure we knew he came in on his day off which we did not ask him to do. He eventually just left us alone on the grounds. We decided to go for a loan for a residential 5th wheel which we knew might be difficult but wanted to give it a shot and see what they could do for us. He gave us a card for the lady Diane who supposedly was going to handle our loan. he seemed like he just could not get us out of there fast enough. He said she would be in contact with us the next day. We did not here anything from her the next day or any days after. almost a week went by and nothing. They dinged our credit for the loan so they obviously sent the request but never got back to us. It was like pulling teeth to get any information from Craig. Finally he texted to say the first request was denied but they were going to try a different lender. days later still nothing. I would not recommend these people to help you with anything. It was a wasted trip for us and a complete waste of our time and a ding on our credit report for no good reason. Terrible service! Never going back! read more

Have had horrible experience with the service department. A simple warranty repair has turned into a leaking roof, they stepped on and tore the armrest on couch, said leak had caused water damage to subfloor as well as cabinets delaminating. Trailer has been to them for total of 5 months during first 1.5 years of ownership, while they attempt to repair. Attempted to pick up trailer today, only to not have half the repairs completed and to top it off they hit something moving our trailer around and tore the awning. I cant even begin to explain how disgusted I am with my entire RV purchase experience. I am tempted to drop it off and tell Hillsboro, OR Camping World where they can shove it. The Parts and Service department is a wreck, they never answer the phone, they leave voicemails that explain nothing and then its like pulling teeth to get in touch with someone! When our camper was "inspected" the awning was found to be damaged. They told us 7-10 days it would be in and replaced. A month and MANY phone calls later we find out it had come in wrong part, and been reordered. A week after the expected arrival date of THAT one we started the tedious process of reaching a human again to get updates. Two days later when we finally did, the person had a difficult time getting information- like it was something only one person knew and couldn't just be looked up on a pc order form or something. We finally were told it was on back order and it could be "a long time". So, two MONTHS after purchasing the trailer, we brought it home without an awning,...and with a broken outdoor speaker cover, a missing miniblind wand, a missing propane cover, and a torn mattress (a foot long tear in the foot of the mattress)!!!!! Imagine how thrilled we were to find these things!!! So we emailed the ONLY decent person we had been dealing with, Vicki in Sales. She forwarded the list to Parts and Service. On June 6th we received another call about the awning, with no information other than to call back. Which we did. Many, many times. I left voicemails and email address. When I called again today I found out Jose is in Mexico on vacation now and he was the one who knew what was what with our trailer apparently.. It wasn't easy, but we finally found out why he called, The new awning came in! Damaged. So another was ordered, It's unknown if it was ordered express shipping or what the expected delivery date is, and Matt was "in the middle of dealing with another customer", so, you know, he couldn't sit there listening to us complain about something he "couldn't do anything about". When asked if he could at least order the other parts? "We'll see what I can do..." was the response. Not one person has offered us anything other than these words, "well it happens a lot". This is disgusting. No one could get away with running a smaller business like this, but since you are a giant cooperation apparently its okay. The awning wasn't even ordered until a month after it was supposed to be. Then the company who ships the parts keeps making mistakes and everyone just shrugs their shoulders and doesn't know what to do? Complete and utter garbage. I want to be compensated for the 2 and half months now that I hadn't been able to use my camper, for all the wasted time trying to get in touch with a human, then trying to find a human who knew what was going on, then for them treating US like WE were the ones doing something wrong, for all my wife's frustrated tears, the disappointment of my children when we had to cancel two camping trips because of all of this... and not one person has stepped up to offer a god damn thing to attempt to make this right. I had an extremely good experience at Camping World in Hillsboro Oregon. They've increased experienced salesmen and was impressed with the Work they did to help me find something I liked. Their service department is really overwhelmed, so service takes time. I worked with Salesman Frank and was impressed with his cordialness and willingness to help me. I made an appointment the day prior, and overslept. He was still waiting for me three hours later. Finance manager, Mike was extremely nice as well and was forthcoming with what I needed to purchase a camper. They had a great selection and saw many different designs. My only minor complaint was not all units were accessible because they packed units so closely together. Other than that. I had a great experience and enjoyed my visit. I really don't know why other people complained so much. Service is overly busy and they can't just stop everything for one whining and complaining customer. It's called 'Life'! They've had our trailer for a month and the only thing we needed was the kitchen faucet replaced because of a leak. My dad kept calling and leaving messages but only got one call returned and it was an excuse for the delay. We decided to go pick up the trailer today, whether it was done or not. We get there and they say the faucet will be there in three more days. My dad tells them he wants the trailer now and that he'll buy a faucet from Lowes and put it in himself. Then they tell him that our awning was damaged when they were moving our trailer around. The awning was removed and supposedly a new one ordered. They never called to tell us about the damage!! They were going to replace it and not tell us. This is a lying, underhanded company with the worst customer service. It's unbelievable! Worst RV Service I have ever encountered. I have had issues in the past and quit going to them because of the lack of service. My RV friends warned me not to go back but I decided to give them one more try since it has been a few years. BIG MISTAKE!! They have had my trailer for over 4 weeks and ordered the wrong part. I have left now three messages for service which included their new manager and nobody has called me back. My husband went to pick up the trailer, and to make sure the TV was fixed, the wires were still hanging out of the wall connected to the wall plates. The Manager had the technicians straighten that out. They did secure the window fixtures, but there was still one item that has been a problem they hadn't fixed since we bought the trailer. That item was the leak in the back of the trailer, but is not visible to where the leak is coming from. We can hear the leak inside the trailer, spraying against the inside wall; It's right behind the stove. I can't understand why I set up an appointment, just to wait for a month or more to get my trailer back and find they haven't completed the list of problems I came in with originally. Also I was right that the VGA cable was not reconnected when only the Audio and Blue Screen came up. We can't afford to wait another month to have this fixed, so we are taking it to a reliable trailer service, which is Curtis Trailers. I bought a travel trailer from here a year ago with extended service plan. Worst decision of my life. I bought it used 2011 earthbound it had a leak the day we looked at it. I was told it would be taken care of. When I picked it up everything pretty much checked out. It wasn't raining so couldn't check leak repair. 1st outing it rained the whole weekend and the leaking was never fixed. I mean I had to use 2 large bath towels to soak up water over our weekend. Brought it in for service repair said they don't cover leaks but we're able seal it some how instead of replace slide out seal. I never got return phone call the 3 weeks it was there. Horrible customer service. People say they'll call back never do. Brought it in again for electric issues before thanksgiving I was called 3 weeks later said the stereo was bad and jack motor was bad and it would be covered parts would be ordered. Received a call middle of dec that parts were in and they wanted to schedule to bring my trailer in. I called mike and told him the unit has been there this whole time please fix it. He apologized that the message didn't get passed that unit was on grounds. Jan 27th I get a message that parts are in and I need to schedule the bring in my trailer. I call again and get the run around and that they will get right on it. Over 90 days they have had my trailer to fix my jack and stereo and nothing has been done yet. I'm going to call now. We bought a brand new trailer year and a half ago and the second time we used it the awning arm broke I don't even know how it happened we came back from a bike ride and it was twisted in half. We got it fixed Jayco and camping world covered the cost because it was under warranty but we still had to pay for labor. It took us 2 months to get our trailer back and if it wasn't for us calling weekly we would never gotten it back. Their excuse was so and so left the job and so it got missed. Now I'm thinking they must've thrown it together and used the same arm for the awning to put it back !! The third time we took it out the same arm broke and twisted exactly the same way and camping world will not take care of it even though it's still under warranty. We called Jayco directly and they said that this type of trailer we have the awning is only used for sun and not rain which is complete crap we live in Pacific Northwest and if that was the case why they tell us when the first time it broke ?!?! Why even have an awning to use if we can't use it?!?! I am very disappointed at camping world and Jayco. NNow we have to pay $1100 + out of our own pocket to be fixed when we've only used it a total of a week and it's a brand new trailer. BrAnd New!!!!!!!! On 11-30-14 made appt with olinger rv service dept to purchase and have a DISH receiver (as advertised in camping world catalog) to our king dome. And, I wanted them to test our king dome because I don't think it works right. So they gave me an appt for 2 weeks later (wow, long time). On appt day I called to confirm and I am glad I did because they didn't have us down and they were to busy to see us. Are you kidding me, can't even do scheduling effectively. Do they think customers have nothing to do and can change schedules and appt around that easily? We scheduled an appointment for Motor Home repair 3 weeks in advance. Brought our Fleetwood MH in at the appointed time on December 1. One repair was a leak in the roof. Our MH sat on the lot 5 weeks before they got to it after the appointment date. The repair was fine but water stains are on the ceiling from sitting there 5 weeks in the Oregon rain. The service dept is one of the worst I've experienced in quite some time. First you have to try repeatedly to actually get an appointment i.e., call and leave message, repeat again and EVENTUALLY you get a call back. Then once they get your rig in for service, good luck getting an update from anyone! We called and were put through to service. It rang for a long time then we got through to parts and they just put us through to service again. And so the cycle began once again, voice mail and then leave message which was never returned. Nathan was asked repeatedly to call with an update before he left for the day. Nope, that's just not the Camping World way - returning customer calls. If you are short staffed and just can't get to the phones, then hire someone to help. The frustration that is felt by the lack of communication has driven us away permanently. If I could give a minus star, I would give them minus 10 stars. We purchased a 2016 318RETS Jayco Eagle from this Camping World in Hillsboro, OR. The sales person Kevin was wonderful, however that is where the positive completely ends. The service department is more than awful. We have had to take our trailer back three times trying to get the same items repaired, and they are still not completely repaired or the job is not done properly. The service counter people are extremely rude and arrogant, especially Eric. They treat you like you are stupid and do not know what you are talking about. We have owned RV's for the last 30+ years, so I think we know what we are speaking about Our air conditioner does not cool down more than 4 degrees. They said that they checked the unit when it was 70 degrees out and it worked. How can that be? This was the first part of February, the high in that month was 64 degrees. Another lie from them. Our bathroom fan which was cracked and had to be replaced was repaired so poorly that we now need to have it taken out again and replaced properly. There were gaps around the cap and it rattles, vibrates and makes a loud clatter noise. When we saw the gaps and brought it to their attention, the reply was fine. We can go on and on with the several different repairs that they supposedly did, but do not have enough room here. Just DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CAMPING WORLD, especially with the one in Hillsboro. Accurate to say this has been the worst purchase experience I have ever had. Camping World of Hillsboro dealership takes no responsibility and offers nothing to remedy situation. Have been dishonest with me and threatened to withdraw repair order if I continued to "email and complain". Please read below for the latest correspondence I had with Camping World of Hillsboro, including a Winnebago representative. They have not responded to this email. My "new" vehicle arrived with 1982 miles on it! I was told it was shipped on December 19, so 11 days of travel and rain before I took possession. (Dealership says this helps "get the bugs out" - it created the "bugs" in mine as it arrived leaking and non-functioning in many vital areas!) As of this writing, vehicle has 2918 miles after trip to Portland for leak repair (repair did not occur), but still I have driven less than 1000 miles when it was driven almost 2000 in transport. My original pick up date was scheduled for December 29, but vehicle arrived not as I expected. It did not have GPS unit built in as I expected. A portable GPS unit was included and I acquiesced and took possession the following day. During my explanation period, there were numerous people involved attempting to explain systems and answer questions. Problem was, no one knew anything about this vehicle as they kept saying "it is too new". No one of the Camping World staff was able to operate the heater system during the lengthy period of our attempting to have vehicle explained (we all froze, though they kept saying it was working). As I later learned, the heating system was not functioning properly - since the unit was connected by shoreline to electric, the furnace will not operate on electric. It will only operate on propane. On electric and electric mix, warning alarm illuminates and error code is indicated showing furnace has overheated and shut down. Camping world personnel were not able to determine this during explanation period because they did not know how to operate it. During my drive home to Coos Bay, I noticed water collecting on the counter behind the tv by sliding door. I attributed it to opening the door in the rain. But the water continued to collect on the counter and within a few days I realized the cabinet above the kitchen sink was wet also. I immediately notified Pat Thompson - Camping World, January 9. Unit has been parked under cover since then except for trip to Portland for leak repair (repair did not occur - only diagnosis and diagnosis indicated leak in rear double doors as well as rear compartment was filled with water). During this initial voyage to your dealership for leak repair, I discovered that in addition to the furnace not working properly (propane only), the Precision Control Panel is malfunctioning also. It shuts itself off frequently and at times will not restart. The only way to force restart is to shut off coach batteries for a few minutes and force reset. So without Precision Control Panel, there is no water or any other controls available until forced reset. Then I discovered the Refrigerator does not work properly. It will not work at all (not even on propane) if electric shoreline is connected. Refrigerator will only work on Propane and only when rv is not connected to electric shoreline. I am only able to run unit when it is not raining without causing further water damage to unit. I can only operate the rv on Propane and without electric for heat and refrigerator. As stated earlier, I am beyond frustrated and disappointed that what should have been a wonderful experience for me that has turned into this nightmare where I have a damaged, devalued, non-functioning unit I have paid for and cannot use. I am getting no help or support from dealership other than they will order parts and I can arrange with Freightliner for leak repairs. How can Camping World, and Winnebago justify treating customers so poorly and peddling such inferior or problem prone vehicles which are not checked for functionality and quality control prior to leaving your sales room. Repairs cannot even begin for 6 weeks after I took possession and therefore I have a brand new unit that I have fully paid for, but cannot use for at least two months. Not at all what I thought I was purchasing when I chose Winnebago and Camping World. How disappointing for me! Beyond that I have never received such poor customer support and service. I am repeatedly told incorrect information about how this repair process will proceed - things that as it turns out, they will not be produc e after all. Also I paid for the additional upholstery and exterior protection. It is clearly visible on the ceiling of the rv that approximately half of the surface area of the interior received the treatment and the other half was missed. Guess that explains why you supposedly charge "half price" for the service - you only get half service / half surface area covered. read more

They need to change their hours of operation on their web site. We drove from Forest Grove to the Hillsboro only to find it closed. The hours posted on the gate are not the same as those on the web site. After reading all the other reviews it isn't a surprise. Obviously customer service is not their priority. read more

Do not buy here!! Do yourself a favor and shop around. Their prices are thousands of dollars more than other dealers for the EXACT SAME trailer. They wanted $8000 more dollars than the dealer down the road. If you're buying here, you're simply paying too much. And if you call them out on their prices, they aren't real nice about it. So I want to warn everybody about this Camping Worlds service department. Their service Adviser Eric Astleford has no business being in a customer service type position and the Service manager Chris is not much better. here is my story.... In May of this year my son in law borrowed our toyhauler trailer to go riding with his buddy's. Upon his return he informed me of issues they had with the generator. he said for the first day it would not run for more then a half hour and would then die like it was running out of fuel.On the second day they checked it and found no issues and it ran fine the whole day. I decided to do some testing on the generator to see if it would repeat the problem. It did. it would run great then suddenly die like it was out of gas. Not being a small engine mechanic I decided to research about taking it to a shop. I called a couple places and settled on Camping World. I called and spoke with Eric and told him what was going on. He said he could have his techs look at it. He told me he had a meeting to go to and that he would call me back later that day to schedule a time to have me drop it off. this should have been my first red flag. He never called me back. I called 2 times over the next day trying to reach him but with no luck. Finally 2 days later I got a hold of him and we set a appointment to drop it off on June 9th in the morning to get the generator looked at and I also decided to have them check and grease my wheel bearings. When I arrived Eric seemed to have no clue that I was coming in that morning and did not even remember what repairs I needed done. We gt the trailer all checked in and Eric said his tech would look at it on Friday and that he would call me Friday afternoon to let me know what the tech found and to get a game plan for the balance of the repairs. Well Friday came and went and no call. I left him 5 voicemail between Monday and Thursday and no call. Finally went in on Friday and got the run around and finally spoke with the service manager who of course had no idea what the status was on my trailer repairs. He promised to call me by 5pm that day. At 5:05pm I had to call him and then got a butt load of more excuses and lies. Over the next week I did get phone updates from the service manager about my repairs and the process. In the end a simple fuel pump replacement, a tune up on the generator and the axels cost me $925. I was initially quoted $625. read more

I don't write bad reviews and always try to look at things from all angles. That being said, I felt I needed to write this tor warn other customers of this company. We brought our Jayco 5th wheel trailer in for some repair that they recommended and it needed. We decided to bring it to them since they are a Jayco dealer. We brought it in in February when they were slower. They had it for almost 11 weeks for a repair job that shouldn't have taken more than 2 weeks. We made several phone calls only to get the run-around. We went in there to see what was going on only to get the excuse that it was taking longer than they had thought so now they were fitting it in in-between other customers. We got the excuse, " We've put in over 20 hours on it". Well, do the math. 20 hours over 11 weeks doesn't sound like they were working on it too hard. When we finally got it back, the repair looks awful! They did a really crappy job and now I have to live with it. And to top it off, a cat had gotten in and left cat hair all over and peed on the couch. They gave the excuse that they don't let cats on their lot. But it's just a parking lot. How are they keeping cats off it? I don't own a cat, and I'm allergic to cats, and there's no way a cat can get in when it's closed up. They took no responsibility for any of it. They did offer to try to clean the couch, but as you may know, cat pee is almost impossible to completely remove. So, now I have an ugly repair to my trailer, I have to replace the couch, and I WILL NEVER GO BACK! Their customer service is terrible, and their quality of work is unacceptable. read more

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!!! If I could give negative stars I would. First off I had an issue with winterizing (yes I did it myself , and told them I did), but still felt the issue was partially their fault. They offered to re-winterize (for free) and give me a 50 dollar gift card (after I took it camping for a weekend; so I accepted. Then while camping (for the first time), we found many other issues (vents leaked, bathroom door would not close all the way, set of cabinets would not shut unless you did them together, one faulty light, one faulty light switch). I took it back in to have it re-winterized as it was still January, and have all the warranty items fixed (brand new trailer). I was told they would look at it. The next week they said that yes the vents leak and all the other discrepancies were valid and everything would be fixed. 2 week later they said parts would be in next week, then the next week they said parts were in and it would be fixed by the end of the week. The next week they said sorry 1 more week. Then they call and say it is ready to go. We show up, lights still don't work, cabinet not aligned, and they say the leaks are normal. I ask what the heck, they say sorry we will fix it and come back when we call. Two weeks later, it is supposed to be ready, again show up, not ready (AGAIN AFTER THEY CALLED ME)! Go back the following week and the cabinet is STILL NOT FIXED. Waited for them to fix it right then. So I go to do the paperwork thinking it is all warranty and I will sign and be out the door. NOT. They are charging me for the winterizing and a couple parts saying sorry those are not covered under warranty. The manager is no help as he will not honor the word of his people that said 2 MONTHS AGO that I would get free winterizing. He then accuses me of saying I lied and tricked them into thinking they winterized it (which is untrue and I told them from the beginning I had done it! Apparently his other back office person agreed with me since he offered free winterizing and a 50 dollar gift card)! from this point on it was all DENY, DEFLECT, and FINGER POINTING to anyone but themselves to avoid doing what was told to me by them. So in the end I guess it takes 2 months, to do nothing more than fix 2 lights and realign a door and a cabinet. I missed 2 camping trips because of this. THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE, THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS INTOLERABLE, THEY LIE AND DO NOT HONOR EACH OTHERS WORD. read more

Stay AWAY! Purchased a Jayco trailer in the summer of 2014. Sales experience was pretty good. Professional and not to pushy. Not to much back and forth on the price. Took a week for them to have the trailer ready for us to pick up even though it was on the lot with no alterations because the service department was to busy to detail and do predelivery inspections... Fast forward 4-5 months... After my first few trips i noticed a few minor issues with the trailer so I took it in for warranty repair. 3 MONTHS LATER I finally got my trailer back. Not only did I have to call them for updates because no one would call me but I got the "parts are on order" story over and over. They flat refused to quote me on upgrades that i had requested (things I would be paying them cash money for). After finally getting a call back from a manager (it took emailing corporate and the location manager), magically the parts appeared within days and less than a week later I was told my trailer was ready. When I got there no one that i had dealt with was there and the person that checked me out simply said "did you see your trailer on the lot and is it in a spot you can hook up to it?". They failed to put the tongue on a block, a request that I had made just a few hours before because my hitch sits to high to get under it if it is not... They had no one with knowledge of the repair to walk me through what they had done or test the systems with me. The repair was terrible! On the first trip out both the water pump and the furnace quit working. I had to remove both the Tank monitor and the Thermostat and reconnect wires that were not properly secured. These are the only 2 systems they touched inside the trailer. Their solution to my deadbolt not lining up was to cut out the metal on the jam side instead of properly aligning the door and the floor was filthy as well as the walls around both items they had replaced... Less than pleased I finished the job for them and went about my camping. Fast forward another 4-5 months... I had a minor accident with the trailer. I wanted to order parts (new a piece of skirt trim and possible a new awning). I called for pricing and was told I would get a call back. Nothing that day so I called back the following day. I was told that they new about my request and that THEY would call ME when they had the pricing and I did not need to keep calling back. That was 2 months ago. No phone call, no pricing, nothing... Needless to say I am moving on to another Jayco dealer for my needs and i will be strongly recommending to anyone thinking of doing business with camping world to STAY AWAY! read more

We have mixed feelings towards Camping World Hillsboro. Sales was professional and helped us find what we want with a good price. Buying process went smoothly. Everything seemed to be professional until days later we received a notice from Washington State DMV saying our new trailer cannot be registered until they received enough sales tax. We felt shocked because we agreed with the finance manager verbally on the out-door-price, and got a firm "NO" when asking if we need to pay more tax. We contacted the dealership immediately to sort things out. He either refused to answer our call or told us "sorry that is it" and that we had to pay extra money ourselves. They seemed not to care about credibility or reputation. Conclusion: Don't be fooled by their perceived sincerity. Be aware of any hidden fees or charges they would put on you. Carefully review any paperwork or calculate numbers before signing anything. read more

Purchased a brand new trailer that had an issue with the tongue which it had to be replaced it's now been there a month and let's hope to god they ordered the right parts this time.. all this place cares about is when do they get paid and once they have your money they run your screwed after that.. so run away people run far and stay away if you want a quality trailer with great customer service cause this place is not for you.. read more

Do not get service done here. They store your RV for weeks as they schedule based on parking not based on when the technician will do the work. This is the dumbest scheduling method I've ever heard of and the lots are packed due to this policy. Our Class C RV has been here since May 9th for Warranty Work. They were to do warranty work because they replaced the power panel that shows the water, fresh, grey and black and the sensors seem to have been the problem. Also, they "fixed" the generator last Fall but they didn't put the air filter back on which in dusty conditions could ruin cylinders AND they routed the fuel line wrong so when we make a right turn the fuel line turns on the generator. The CEO, the President and Regional Customer Service are aware and they had me talk to the service manager who told me the generator had an electrical issue (he did no research or was misinformed as to the generator problem) and would not be accountable to what seemed like some damage to the side from somebody being careless and smacking the side of our RV tearing up decals and doing some fiberglass damage. The sensors for the tanks were supposed to be in (after a MONTH!) and then they told me they were sent the wrong sensors. Instead of doing warranty work they just seem to wear you down with time. If by some miracle they have this done for the coming weekend it'll probably be 100 degrees in Portland in June and that doesn't happen either. read more
