I purchased a 2018 Georgetown G5 class A motorhome in April from camping world Manassas. The sell went well, however the after sell service has been a night mare. I had several small issues on the first trip. No hot water, tv would not work on antenna, two overhead lights out in bedroom, 5 outside doors would not lock. I called for an appointment to have the issues repaired. I had to wait 5 weeks to take it in and they had it for 1 month. I would call several times a week to see what the status was but only got a answering machine, no call backs. When I told them I was picking the motor home the advised it was complete. Upon picking up my rv the lights were still not working. I was told they were on order. The TV antenna was still not repaired and still did not have hot water. The did replace 5 door locks on the outside compartments but did not tell me there was a separate key. I replaced the tv antenna power mogul that they gave me and the tv works fine. The hot water problem was the by pass valve was open on the hot water tank, we fixed that. The lights are still on order they say I am waiting to hear from them when the lights come in. I will replace them my self. My advise is not to deal with any camping world, the on in Winchester told me they could not work on my rv to take it back where I bought it. When I purchased my rv I was told that all camping worlds nationwide would honor the rv warranty. NOT SO. read more

I am specifically rating James Berry who is the Service Advisor at Camping World of Manassas. We dropped off our new camper for warranty repairs 2 months ago. We called several times for status updates on the repairs and most of our calls were ignored. About 2 weeks ago James became our service advisor and everything went very well from that point forward. He has a wonderful, friendly attitude (and a great smile). His professionalism is a real asset to Camping World. read more

After you give them your money, they no longer care about helping you. Right now it feels like they took my money as fast as possible because I am not getting help. But, if they would just help me by doing what they say they will do, then I think I would be very satisfied. I appreciate how fast the process was...Camping World just needs to do what they say they will do. I think I was reasonable. I called and left three messages over to days for help with not having received my temporary tags. I can't even get access to the person working on registration, Lisa S. Also, when I went to buy the rv, if I hadn't had the "early pay off" text from the loan person, Pat, the salesman, would not have given me the fee back on the loan of $200. He also tried to convince me not to argue for a more competitive interest rate. He said I shouldn't argue for 0.01 percent, so I go the feeling he was not concerned for my best interests. The company they do not use for loans, Uncle Sam, offered a better loan, quite frankly. I went with Camping World's loan because I thought it would make things easier. Uncle Sam offers a better interest rate than Camping World, so call them. Lastly, Pat said he would send me the maintenance that was performed on the rv, I followed up twice via text, and I received nothing. I would not go back to this dealership, nor recommend it. But, knowing that sometimes you want an rv that only that dealer has, I would recommend not using their registration services, getting the loan terms in text/writing, holding out to get what you want (maintenance logs) before signing, and using Uncle Sam for their loan. Camping World does not come through unless you put extra effort and time to hound them, and even then I haven't gotten the maintenance log. But, I like my rv. Five stars = Winnebago. Two stars for Camping World Manassas. They did actually meet my timeline and the transaction was fast. Yep, they worked hard to get my money as fast as possible and they haven't supported since. I will update this post as soon as I get my tags and registration with how it finally is resolved. Hope I they help with more temporary tags before my camping trip this weekend, otherwise I chance driving with expired tags. Without going into the typical details of how things weren't done, weren't done right or done to only create another problem somewhere else suffice it to say they have turned everything upside down. Rob is our go to technician, name given only because I want him recognized not to share him, he is precise with his work and explains everything he's done. Damon, Melissa and Rob are a dream team and Camping World needs to do everything in their power to keep this team from ever splitting up. read more

Although new, our RV had been on the lot for a year and required some minor repairs....exterior painting, maintenance to the door, repairs to a cabinet drawer, replacement of a recliner due to fabric damage, two new lighting fixtures and several other minor issues. The service person we worked with, Kyle, has been courteous and helpful. He called to tell us when he had scheduled our RV for painting and to take care of some of the repair work (those items that could be done quickly). We brought the unit in and all work was completed on time and to our satisfaction. The longer-lead items, like the recliner and some electronics equipment, were not ready and he said he would call as soon as those items came in. True to his word, he called in a few weeks (actually sooner than anticipated) and we made an appointment to bring the unit in. Again, he told us to expect to leave the RV with them for several days. So far, we have taken two trips with the RV and had to call Camping World's Good Sam technical assistance line twice. I will say that service is a Godsend when you are on the road, particularly to new RV owners like us. The technicians were able to answer our questions, which were not addressed in any of the manuals. I am not doubting the experiences others have related here, just wanted to share our positive experience. UPDATE: Since my original post, we brought our unit in again for some minor repairs. If I could have given this place zero stars, I would have. I thought when Camping World took over from Reines RV that things would get better. They got much worse, and Reines was horrible. First, I made an appointment in April 2018 for a June 2018 service to get an engine and generator oil change, state inspection, and two issues looked at. When I brought my RV in June I was told it was an 8-10 week wait to get my services done. I asked why in the world did I make an appointment? A service representative was not assigned to my vehicle until week 8, and they did the services in one day. I know because I called almost weekly asking what was going on. At least Reines did my service the week I brought it in. My state inspection was due in July, that is why I do my annual service in June. I was told that Camping World could not do my state inspection because my vehicle was too big. I bought the darn RV from this location. I was told the individual who was certified left the company and they did not hire another person. I bought my RV from Reines 4 years ago. Since I bought it, I've had 4 difference service managers and 8 different service advisors. Since it has been Camping World, I've had 2 service managers and 3 service advisors. Also, they do not maintain any records of past services/issues on my RV, even though I purchased it here. Camping World taking over has this place going down hill quickly. I recently completed a survey and strongly advised someone to seriously look at this organization and fix these problems. It is giving Camping World a bad name. Needless to say, I will not be going back and will find another location to take my RV. I do not recommend this place to anyone at this time. read more

This is my second visit to Camping World since they've taken over for Reines RV. I've found the customer service to be horrible each time. When we arrived, we were ignored by the receptionist. The salespeople avoided us, and pawned us off when we asked for help and then went out of their way to help others. As African Americans, we're somewhat accustomed to standing out among the RV crowd, but what we experienced today was blatant disregard and purposeful disrespect. Brought RV in November 1st for winterization and warranty work (one grey water valve and one outdoor kitchen sink gasket). Called weekly for updates no one can answer their phone or return a phone call. I live local therefore I would stop in once per week for an update. One week they said my RV wasn't there anymore. I said what did you do sell it? Nevertheless I stopped in this past Monday and the parts arrived this past Saturday (1.5 months later). They called me later that day to inform me the work was complete. They said the parts that arrived were wrong therefore they "ran across the street and bought them at Home Depot"! Really? They push sales out the door however for service they are a nightmare. Never again! read more

I would highly recommend not buying a RV from camping world of Manassas. Mainly the service department is the problem. These people in the service department provided terrible customer service. My experience started when I purchased a 2019 Forest River Greywolf in August of 2018. Within the first few months of using it I discovered a few things wrong with the camper that needed attention, one thing being that the black water flush was not working properly and leaking water on the floor inside the RV (which I later learned it was leaking because the wrong part/valve was installed, THE WRONG VALVE! How does a manufacturer install the wrong part on their own RV?!?!). When you buy a RV from camping world they schedule a 90 day follow up from your date of purchase for you to bring your RV in and have things inspected and fixed that need fixing. My 90 day follow up was scheduled for November 2018. Two days before my scheduled appointment I got a phone call and voicemail from camping world that my 90 day follow up needed to be cancelled and rescheduled. There was no reason given to me for the need to cancel and reschedule. Between November 2018 and March 2019 I called and left about 20 voicemails with the service department to try to get my appointment rescheduled. During this time period of November 2018-March 2019, I also discovered water damage inside of my RV, which was due to the sealant of the roof not being done properly. Every one of the voicemails I left went unanswered/not returned. Finally around April 2019 I had to drive to camping world and walk into the store to make an appointment in person, because they did not return phone calls. With the 2019 spring camping season just starting, the earliest I could get the RV there for repairs was June 2019. I dropped the RV off the beginning of June, camping world had it for a month, and when I picked it up at the end of June NOTHING at all had been done to my RV except for putty was placed over the poorly sealed spots of the roof. I then finished out camping for the summer, and took my RV back to camping world in August 2019 to be repaired. Again, a month went by and I heard nothing from camping world, so in September 2019 I had to call them to see what the status was. Again, I called and left voicemails, nobody returned my calls. I decided to try to email the email address that was on the business card given to me when I dropped my RV off. This method of communication was effective because an employee got in touch with me the next day. When they called me they told me that my entire roof needed to be re-sealed because it was in very poor shape. How a roof/sealant is in very poor shape just 12 months after purchasing it does not make any sense to me, especially when it was kept covered. I was told that none of these repairs would be covered under factory warranty because it is now September of 2019, which is one year after I purchased the RV. I then took my concerns to the manager, and he basically mocked me and treated me like an idiot while I was on the phone with him. He claimed that he took over as the manager a few months ago and basically said that any experience that I had with camping world before this point was not his fault because he was not the manager in charge at the time. He also insisted that the poorly sealed roof was my fault as an RV owner because I did not maintain it as it should have been (even though the leaking began approximately 5 months after I purchased the RV). And if they hadn't cancelled my 90 day follow up, then perhaps the roof would've been re-sealed before the leaking even happened. I believe that my 90 day follow up was purposely cancelled because they did not want to be responsible for fixing the things that were wrong with my RV. This whole negative experience could have been avoided if they had just returned phone calls/voicemails in a timely manner and upheld integrity. Their refusal to help and work with a customer is why I will never go to camping world again and I will never recommend them to anybody. read more

Our camper was in this shop for almost 6 months getting warranty work done. We scheduled during the off season. Our rig wasn't worked on for months. The few times we actually got to talk to someone (not very often), we got a few lame excuses or flat out lied to. Don't expect a call back when you leave a message. The common theme is I'm new here.or I will check(never happens). With this kind of turnover, one must assume that this company is poorly run/managed. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Buyer beware is an understatement. Check online forums and Facebook for camping world Update- Somebody at CW forgot to close the bunk room door when they closed the bunk room slide and cracked my door just to add insult to injury. A customer support team is laughable. I did call Forest River about this latest problem, so we will see how it goes. CW's reply is a superficial and canned response. read more

worst experience of my life! I bought my RV brand new in January. Several things were not working to include a very dead house battery, so I took it to Camping World to have warranty work done. They told me they had no appointments for 2 months, but I could drop it off and they would try to look at it. It sat on their lot for 1 month and no one looked at it. i would call once a week checking on it and was always put into a VM that clearly never gets checked. I would have to call back and demand to speak with someone. Eventually I was told I should never have been allowed to drop it off and that the guy that told us that was fired. would have been nice for someone to call me and tell me that!! after one month I called and said I needed that house battery replace, this was a brand new vehicle that i purchased with a dead one. over the phone they told me they couldn't do that. I went down to the store and spoke with the manager and said "just give me the battery and I'll replace it myself" then they magically found the time to replace it. meanwhile the other non functioning items still needed to be fix. I told them to give me a REAL date of when they would actually look at it. that date was May 14th. Today is May 15th and no one has called me. i called again and shockingly i was put into their voice mail. I still have not received a call. pretty sure they still haven't looked at it. I bought this vehicle in January and it is now May and NO ONE has even looked at my unit!! 5 months... my warranty is only for a year. Please go somewhere else. this place will never get fixed until the loose the business read more

Mike Ragsdale is the service manager and sent me an e-mail cancelling my maintenance which I planned 2 months ago. He said they were overburdened.This was the first available appointment and I also had warranty work I needed done. I planned family vacations for the whole summer already with the RV. I've left messages on his machine, emailed him, and called the reception area several times over the course of a week and I can't get anyone to get back to me. The receptionist was incredibly rude. I even had another camping world an hour and a half away call them for me and not surprisingly they were able to get ahold of Mike Ragsdale. ... The other camping world informed me that now they're not doing any maintenance until July and I said okay well I would still like to get on the calendar but I cannot get anyone to call me back. I even left messages on the general manager's machine and emailed the customer service team.....it's pretty sad that I'm going to have to drive an hour away for service/ maintenance and figure out the logistics of getting home after I drop my RV off.....all because I can't even get these guys to call me back and they're 10 minutes away from my house. I bought my trailer in April, 2018. It's been back three times, under warranty to get a leak fixed. All three times my wife and I got a run around. We dropped it off for the last time, just prior to Thanksgiving 2018 to get the same problem fixed. We got it back in early April, with the same shoddy repairs, but accepted it because we were tired of dealing with the service department. Everyone up to the GM has a severe problem with calling back and answering emails. We just had it out for the first time this spring, and found a soft spot in the floor. Mind you, it was just out of warranty. I called and spoke to Kyle, who offered no help, other than that he told me to call Keystone. The camper is only a year old and has only been used a total of four times. Three times prior to the soft floor being noticed. They do a decent job selling the campers and don't give a crap after it leaves. STAY AWAY. I gave them one star because this wouldn't post without it. read more

I hate to even give them one star. It's a familiar thread here. We took our rig in on May 21st - we needed an annual inspection and had a problem with the forward TV antenna. We checked with them week after week, and still don't have it. They haven't even done the inspection. Went in again yesterday, and they promised to at least have the inspection done by Monday. We'll see. We lost out on Memorial Day, and now we had to cancel our July 4th trip. We're not waiting for Labor Day - we're going to liberate her this week, inspection or not. It's a shame we can't recover any "loss of use" compensation. Never again, CW Manassas. We'll have to take any warranty work to Winchester. read more

This place is an absolute disaster. We dropped our travel trailer off 8 weeks ago for a diagnosis for a slow leak from the hot water tank and replacement of a trim piece. It took 3 messages to get a return call after a week of dropping off. We were assured it would be done in 2 weeks. After 2 weeks 3 more messages unanswered we drove over and were told the trim piece was in and it was in "dispatch" and would be worked on within the next week. Several unreturned messages, another stop by and telling them that we needed it by a certain date. I even begged. We were again promised it would be worked by the time we came to get it. We came back the day we told them we needed it by and were told we had to pay for the non refundable parts and that it had never even been looked at. We told them that we would not pay. We ended up leaving but after having it here for almost 9 weeks we are taking a travel trailer with a leaking hot water tank on a 2 week trip. I'm angry and disappointed. Always given promises and excuses. I paid a lot of money for something I don't even have and just sits waiting for warranty repair. Been through 6 service advisers and at least 3 Service Managers. This place is the absolute worse place to do business with. I paid for something I can not even use. Get it together Camping world. I even tried several attempts of escalating this issue to corporate to only get the run around there as well. GO ELSWHERE!! you have been warned..... If i could give zero stars I would. Called for routine service on my class A, first appointment available was 2 months from the call. I made the appointment brought my motor home in for service to the night drop box. The service rep called me the next morning discussed what I wanted done (roof maintenance and fix the door), gave a ridiculous estimate for installing a satellite dish...I said don't do that but please do the other two things. I didn't hear anything back the next five days was approaching the weekend called to see the status of my RV. They said that no records of my RV even being there. After 20 minutes or so they found paperwork said nothing had been done with it yet but the service rep would call back with an update. No call back from the representative. Called back again still couldn't find my paperwork. I said I was losing faith in there ability to keep things straight. I said that I would come in to pick my motorhome up and take it somewhere else . My husband called again and Finally reached someone who knew the status, they said they would be able to get to it one week later. What was the purpose of the waiting two months for the appointment ? They could've cared less said they were behind in their work . I said I would be by to pick my motorhome up and we'll take it somewhere else to be serviced . When I went to pick it up it's took them about 45 minutes to find it , One of the guys on the lot told me that it's just because their space is too small it's so hard to find things. I said no I think it's because you all don't know what you are doing. We will never go back there . read more

Went to this location with a friend to buy and RPOD trailer because they had one in stock. It was there but there was a really bad leak in the air conditioner roof area and the inside was full of water and really dirty. Looked at another Passport with the same layout and the entire thing was rusty and corroded really bad...this was a "new Unit shipped directly from the manufacturer". We thought perhaps there was a way to negotiate for some consideration on the price because of the damages. Not only wouldn't they negotiate at all the "sales guy" was a total jerk, there wasn't another customer in the sales area and there was two salesmen and they both wouldn't have given us the time of day. What a crappy way to do business I would travel hundreds of miles to avoid getting treated like this again. My advise is to go elsewhere for your RV needs avoid this place like the plague. read more

I went into my purchase with an understanding the RV industry is about like buying a used car. We paid cash for our trailer but yet still getting it done was a pain. It was a four hour process that I believe would have went on all day if I did not threaten to leave and come back another day when the unit was ready. After putting 2000 down we made an appointment to review and pick up the trailer. I made a list a few days in advance of some small items that needed attention. Personally I feel like with cash payment this process should have been a 1-2 hour process not four. With an appointment one would assume the trailer would be prepped(that's why I gave 2000 down). Nothing had been done it was still dirty. I also wanted some info on a recall for the spare tire. Each person in the chain would state someone else handles that. I still half expect they will send me a recall notice. I did not want to purchase on Saturday but they were insistent on doing it before the first. I am cool with that but I still expect you to deliver on time. The tires were under inflated on one side and I had to seek out an air hose myself. They were unwilling to show me the roof until I told them i would hold payment until I saw it. The extended warranty is expensive(over 6K for a top tier plan for an under 20k unit) and if you are mechanically inclined you might opt to keep some items on hand like propane regulator and wheel bearings. We opted for no slide as this is just something else for them to charge for when it breaks(of course they mention slide repair during the warranty pitch). Im gambling I will spend less then 6K when things break. Again I will repair it myself. If I had the income ,however the slides sure are nice. Overall the company was lousy and I expect it would be lousy anywhere i went. The Good Sam discount in store is still more expensive then things from Amazon,Walmart, or shopping around. Do yourself a favor and pay cash or bring your own financing. My experience has shown I should avoid using this company for service or supplies if possible. It's quite possible that as far as sales go, one may have a good experience here, because after all, they want your money. That is where it stops. I've bought two campers from Camping World. However when it comes to service..that's where the honeymoon ends. I gave them my RV to repair in November of last year. Five times they told me it was ready...five times I went to pick it up...I even went home with it once...only to have them pick it up to fix it...because it was not completed. No one takes responsibility for anything...no one really seems to know anything. They make excuses for having technicians that don't know how to resolve what's wrong with the RVs. They say it's ready...but no quality control to check it, which again...it never gets done. They are also quite rude as they will ignore you while your standing there hoping to talk to one of them. After 3 and 1/2 months I just took my RV back, even though it's not finished. They just don't have their act together. The manager will not return phone calls...and don't even bother trying to reach Camping World Corporate. They have a policy of getting back to consumers within 24 hours. I've written twice...three weeks ago, and nothing. Stay away from this place. read more

After 3 1/2 months, we went to pick up our RV, as we start camping next weekend. The two warranty items we wanted fixed were not done! They said they were waiting for parts. Does it take 3 1/2 months to get parts? I have been calling and checking for the last 4 weeks, promises made that it was going to be attended to, but obviously not. We paid for the winterization, which I assume was done, and we were given the keys when the rig was brought up front. Problem was, it looked like our rig, but it had MD plates. We took the keys back and then had to wait almost another hour for them to bring us our rig. We were told when we bought the rig last May, that we would be "Elite Members". Several people we talked to in the store today had similar problems. Mr. Lemonis, you tell other people how to do their business, I suggest you take a look at your own. an Update to my earlier review: I received a follow-up call from Camping world and did not hear anything for over a week, so I decided to drive to Camping World to talk to them in person. I spoke with the new service manager (Wendy), and found out the person I was talking to told he had returned my call, false. We get my caper in to have the original repair completed and assess the remainder of the repairs in early September. There where another serious of issues, first the part hat was ordered on February was never checked and it was the wrong part. That had to be reordered. They had my camper for another 2 months. while Wendy did keep in contact with us, it was still frustrating. We finally got our camper back at the end of October. When we picked it up it had been damaged on the left side. The rep I spoke with told that that happens all the time. In the end, we traded our camper in at another dealer so would not have to deal with Camping World. read more

I purchased my camper here in September 18 and had a pretty good experience. I would recommend them for sales however never for service. I dropped my camper of for minor warranty work on March 4th. I explained that I had a trip planned for March 30th and they said it shouldn't be an issue to get it back in time. On March 22nd I spoke with someone in service and was informed that all was completed except 2 items, the outside storage locks and the strike plate on the door jam needed to be replaced. It takes 12-24 hours to get approval from the warranty company so it should be ready the following week. I then called on March 27th in the morning and left a message, no call back. I called on April 3rd and left a message, no call back. I called at 9:05 today trying to get someone on the phone and the phone just rang, no option to leave a message, they open at 9. I left another message at about 9:45. How do we go from being ready by March 30th to possibly being ready the week of the 24th to now, 2 weeks later I still don't have my camper, give me the parts, I will replace it myself. It will take 10-15 minutes as each replacement is only a screw. I have a week long trip planned next week and I need the camper for it. This trip has been planned for months, reservations made, several families coordinated. The lack of communication is unacceptable, the lack of managing their time is unacceptable. read more
