He was super helpful in showing me all of the different options and was extremely knowledgeable on financing and things that would be beneficial for me. I ended up buying another camper in March 2025, and honestly should have learned from my first experience and stayed away. I figured that after three years had passed, it had no where else to go but up, right?!? Wrong. The salesperson was fine, I suppose, but the finance guy was just an a$$, and I should have walked out because of him. Unfortunately for me, however, I didn't pay close enough attention to the numbers and what was actually being put onto the contract as it compared to what I had agreed to. Because of this, I overpaid dearly for the camper and know for a fact that they manipulated the numbers and ultimately overcharged me by $3,800 on the base price from what I had agreed to and what they posted on their website. Every time I look at the contract, I get pissed off all over again. I will never ever go to this location again - for as long as I live - and if you are brave enough to ignore the overall 2-star rating that this Camping World location has received, MAKE SURE YOU VERIFY EVERYTHING and document, document, document. My wife and I bought a 2017 Winnebago View 24G from this Camping World in October of 2025. I would not reccomend to anyone to make the same mistake. The RV was just what we were looking for, size, year and mileage. After signing the paperwork and taking possesion, almost immediatly the dealership started lying and failing to honor their commitments they had made. 1st, the check engine light was on, when I questioned the salesperson, Jake, he promised to take it to the local Mercedes repair shop to diagnose and repair the issue. He simply had the code reset, and never took it to the dealer. We know this because after driving it home, and when leaving on our first camping trip a few days later, the Sprinter went into limp mode and we had to have it towed to our local Mercedes repair shop. It was a simple sensor failure that was under warranty with Mercedes. So instead of being the hero, he bacame a zero. Also there were several items on the "We Owe" form that their finance manager signed prior to our taking possesion. The canopy LED and porch LED lights had failed. They promised to correct. The powered vent in the cabin was not working, again they promised to correct. As of early April, after continually contacting them over and over again and having to resort to legal action they finally fixed the 2 lights. The vent has been a nightmare, instead of just buying the assembly and fixing it correctly, they have tried, unsuccesfully, to piecemeal the repair. We are now 7 months later, and they still have not corrected. No one at the dealer, with the exception of Steven Igoe the general manager, returns phone calls, texts or emails. At this point are only option is to pursue legal action, so we have contacted a local lawyer to start breach of contract lawsuit. It is a shame that for such simple issues, they have botched each and every issue. Not to mention the complete and utter lack of response when trying to contact them. I myself cannot stand being lied to, but in my experience, all but one employee has often and continually been lying to us. We bought our camper a few years ago and just recently brought it to be serviced at a place near where we now live-apparently our trailer hitch was not installed properly nor was our stabilizer system so that when we drove at higher speeds the trailer swayed. My husband says it now drives amazingly smooth. They also tried to say that our tires were dry rotted after one year (it was mud and they are fine). Just little things like not removing the sales stickers (still gotta scrap that off - it is on there but good) are why this is not a 5 star. Very happy with the service to this point. ************************************** So far so good, We bought a new Thor Scope and the process went pretty well - I will explain the pretty well later ;) First off our sales person Brian Hersey was great. We had great online communication and the great communication continued when we were at the location. No pressure in the sales and he gave us a lot of good info. We took care of most of the paperwork online. Still spent a few hours at pickup :( Right now I think they did very well - which could go up or down. It seems we got the wrong keys. The remotes work but a day later when I tried the actual key it wasn't even close to working, so I think we have some mixed keys floating around. I know I should have checked at the dealer, but I haven't used an actual key in a vehicle for a bit. I am in the process of scheduling the protective coat process, so we will see how that goes. And I need to return a few things since the adapter and surge strip don't fit our Scope. Got a bit of bad advice in the store I guess. No biggy. So I have an update to my disaster. I am pleased to report that my ruined Travel Trailer has returned from the Forest River fully repaired and rebuilt free of charge!!! So I feel great knowing that I was right, and can show with 100% certainly that Camping World either lied about doing the leak test or performed it with an epic level of incompetence. How do I know? I have the work order from the Forest River technician stating that the window was leaking due to "incorrect installation" when it was built. So the leak was absolutely there when they performed the recall. That was one of numerous issues that was used by Camping World and the Insurance Company to show that I was neglecting my trailer. The peeling wallpaper wasn't from a leak, it was from defective glue during manufacture. I also got a new furnace because the wiring was "dangerous" The door was replaced as it was installed "out of square with the frame". You see my travel trailer is what's referred to as a "PANDEMIC BUILD". Demand was so high during that time that RV manufacturers had to contract with 3rd party vendors to fill orders. These vendors were often inexperienced or cut corners to save money. They likely misrepresented their qualifications to the manufacturers. Regardless, Camping World is not going to Service your RV competently, take it somewhere else. Read the reviews, the only 5 star reviews are written just after the super nice salesman showed or sold them a camper. Think about it, of course their going to be nice, LOL. I would like to sell it now and I've been told by this establishment that my purchase price was a bit high and that they were only consign it and I would get 1/4 of what I paid for it. I'm sorry that seems very problem that something in better condition than what you sold it to me is now worth 1/4 or less than when I paid for it. I understand they have to make money. I worked in the auto industry for years and I have seen some pretty shady deals and some really unethical pricing but this takes the cake. It's not worth it. I normally don't leave reviews, but my experience here was frustrating enough that I feel other RV owners should be aware. My husband and I scheduled an appointment to have a hitch installed on our truck so we could haul our new 5th wheel. To ensure the vehicle was there on time, we dropped it off the day before and checked in with the service department. We were told the job would be completed within one day. Unfortunately, that was far from the truth. We rushed down before closing time to pick up the truck, only to be told the installation wouldn't be finished until the following day by noon. When I called the next day for an update, I was informed that it still wasn't done and might not be completed until yet another day. I explained that this was unacceptable and that I would be there at 1 p.m. to pick up the truck. I later received a phone call confirming that the truck would indeed be ready at that time. My husband and I rushed to the store to be there promptly at 1 p.m., only to discover upon arrival that it was not ready and would take another hour--meaning the truck wouldn't be done until after 2 p.m. While we were waiting, the manager approached us and informed us that they had damaged the truck during the installation. He assured us that Camping World would fix the damage. He also explained that the delay was due to missing parts. This only highlighted the communication issues we had been dealing with; had they simply informed us earlier, we might have understood. The frustrating part is that this installation was scheduled in advance, and when we dropped the truck off, we were told all the necessary parts were already on the premises. To make matters worse, once we got into the truck, we realized that not all the work scheduled to be completed had actually been done. The woman at the service desk told me that the additional work had not been requested. I don't like calling people liars, but the service items were clearly confirmed at drop-off with the individual at the service counter. Throughout this entire process, communication was poor, timelines constantly changed, and no one proactively contacted us with updates--we had to initiate every call ourselves. Not having access to our truck put us in a difficult position, and the lack of transparency made the situation even worse. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this place to anyone with an RV. The constant delays, lack of communication, and issues with completing the agreed-upon work were completely unacceptable, especially for something we scheduled well in advance. read more

Original Review: A Warning to not do Business with this Camping World Franchise -- Here's our story reported to Camping World Corporate February 06, 2024 my husband and I purchased a 2022 Coachmen Nova from the Manassas, Virginia Camping World. We traded our 2017 REV. We wrote a check for the balance and were told that we had to wait 10 days for our check to clear before we could pick up the Nova and our trade be taken in and evaluated. We had a 10:00 A.M. appointment and spent the entire day waiting to be given the keys and have our orientation to the Nova which was 15 minutes before the business closed. Upon bringing the Nova home and plugging it in, the next morning there was a beeping coming from the vehicle. We immediately called our sales representative to report the issue and she placed us on hold, supposedly to find out when we could bring it back. She came back on the line and said that everything would be taken care of as we had just received the vehicle and we could wait until we were to bring a new generator we had ordered for the trade on our deal. Fast forward to September 9, 2024 after several calls and emails to Camping World Corporate, engaging an attorney, and receiving a settlement offer from Camping World Corporate that included all repairs and recalls to be completed for acceptance of the offer, we arrived to pick up the 2022 Nova. All safety recall repairs were not made although mandated by NHTSA and Cummins, the most important that stated, "Lastly, denial of a remedy for this recall is a Federal Violation punishable by law resulting in substantial fines and/or civil penalties." All recall documents were among the service records we obtained from the Service Department. Fast forward to April 15, 2025 and Camping World Corporate still has not made settlement. The Nova was out of service from February 2024 to September 2024 and we lost trade equity and incurred attorney's fees for a few emails and letter exchanges, and phone calls. We were then advised by our attorney to file a Consumer Protection Complaint with the Virginia Attorney General's Office, which we did in September of 2024. It went overlooked as we had to disclose that we had engaged an attorney. After months of emails and calls to the AG's office explaining that a civil suit had not been filed and that the settlement fell through, and we were advised by our attorney to file the complaint, we received a letter dated 04-04-2025 from the AG's Office saying our complaint is not actionable with their office and we should consider action through the courts. We have lost thousands of dollars and all that needed to be done was for Camping World, Manassas to do what they should have done. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

My wife and I came to Camping World fully ready to purchase a travel trailer. We made it clear from the beginning that we were interested in $0 down financing, which Camping World advertises as available on their own website. The person we dealt with, Andrew, was adamant that we put money down just to have them submit the credit application. He repeated multiple times, "We need a commitment so we can go to work for you," pressuring us to put down $500-$1,000 before anything would move forward. Despite our repeated efforts to keep it a true zero-down deal -- as advertised -- we were met with pushback at every turn. Eventually, they agreed to run our credit without a deposit -- but once they did, they completely disappeared. No updates, no returned calls, and no communication whatsoever. We were serious buyers with stable income and full intent to move forward, and instead we were stonewalled after handing over our credit information. For a company that claims to support flexible financing and customer-first service, this was a deeply unprofessional experience. If you're going to advertise $0 down, you shouldn't pressure customers to pay just to see if they qualify -- and you certainly shouldn't ghost them after pulling their credit. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! I 100% regret buying an RV from Camping World. We bought an expensive Class B van from them and have had nothing but problems. I completely understand that a brand new RV will need some adjustments and warranty issues addressed. However, they are incompetent and have lied to me about ordering parts and repairs being done by a certain dates. They didn't fix a water leak, tried to charge me a diagnostic fee for a water leak that was present when I bought the brand new RV and completely ignored one of the issues. Then they lied about a wrong part being sent to them by Thor, but I confirmed with Thor that Camping World just ordered the part for the first time yesterday. Since Camping World wants to remove my reviews on Google and Facebook. If I could give Camping World 0 stars, I would. The company should be absolutely ashamed of how they treat their customers. We've had our camper for not even a year and we have had nothing but issues out of Camping World Manassas. February 7 we dropped out camper off at Camping World Manassas to be fixed as the winterizing wasn't done properly. We received a call on February 8 from an advisor that is no longer employed there telling us what would need to be replaced and the dollar amount. Fast forward to the beginning of March, we had not heard from anyone at Camping World. We called and called, left multiple voicemails and nothing happened. My husband eventually received a call from someone stating they were the new service manager and our previous advisor had been fired. He looked into the system and confirmed all the parts were there and stated he would have it done by the end of that week. We then hear nothing from them of course, finally my husband speaks to Mario and we are told that they are replacing the pump, faucet, and hot water heater that it would be done by the end of the week. Also, he inquired about winterizing the camper, mind you its been 70 degrees! We again hear nothing and finally my husband gets fed up and goes to the store personally and speaks with a women (unsure of name) and she was apologetic about the situation and said should would have it done by Friday, come Friday we hear nothing.. Finally come April 4, I get fed up with dealing with Camping World Manassas, i go directly to Corporate. I get an extremely nice lady on the line and fill her in on the whole situation, she was super helpful and tried to reach out to David George at Camping World Manassas which he was off. She then was able to leave a message with someone stating that Steve Karpp who is David's associate would be calling me back. By the time, I wasn't waiting any longer, my husband drives to Manassas and he asked to talk to Steve Karpp and the coward he is didnt have the balls to speak to my husband directly, he used a middle man. Now by this point, there are so many people involved with our camper that you think someone at his level he would got off his ass and came to speak with our husband but go figure he doesnt. Steve's middle man tells my husband a higher price then what the original advisor told us and because we didnt have it in writing, Steve said well you dont have it in writing, here is the new price which was $500 mores. I then call back the next day which is a Thursday and speak with the same nice lady from Corporate and she then directs me to David George's line directly where i speak to both David and Steve. I expressed my frustration with the whole situation and the lack of communication. They had had our camper for over 2 months and nothing was done. I was told that Mario was out of the office and no one knew what had been done to our camper. Now, most companies have a system therefore there should be notes as to what's done to our camper. They told me i could come pick my camper up that day but couldnt promise me the world had been done. Mind you, my camper had been there over 2 months. I agreed to wait until the following day which was Friday when Mario returned so they could speak with him directly and they would call my husband first thing to pick up.... Guess what, no call! I call again Monday (4/7) go figure i cant get ahold of anyone. I call again (4/7) Mario answers and tells me they are fixing our faucet and pump now. Going back a month and a half ago, he told my husband that had already been done, so again another lie! I explain my frustration with Mario and he states, would could pick up our camper on Wednesday. I relay the information to my husband and my husband then calls Mario directly and calls him out on his lying of what's been done to our camper. Finally Wednesday (4/10) we pick up our camper and i am completely frustrated with the condition our camper was in. 1. the entire camper had so much dirt in it from their shoes, 2. Where they had tried to winterize the camper and the pipes were busted, the pink antifreeze sprayed everywhere and they didnt clean it up, 3. The light rug in our bathroom was stepped on and had black prints all over it. Now this wasnt the first issue we had with Camping World Manassas but we thought we would try again. I want to say that lady i spoke with at Marcus' line was phenomonal but i will say corporate didnt do a damn thing. They should have drove to Camping World Manassas and made them get the issues taken care of then and there not 2 months later. I will no longer take my camper back to any Camping World. It's unfortunate because we purchased an extended warranty but we've made the decision to waste that so we never have to deal with Camping World again. Ok... We brought the RV and loved our salesman, finance guy and the guy that gave us an over view of how to use the RV. They were TOP TIER!!!! Now what happened when we had to take it in to have it service because the line to the propane tank was punctured... HORRIBLE! Horrible HORRRRRRRIBLE! They had our RV for nearly 5 MONTHS!! During that time someone stole the catalytic converter. You would think since it happened on their property... they're insured... they would cover the theft that happened on their property BECAUSE THEY PROLONGED FIXING OUR PROPERTY. But nope. Our insurance company had to cover it and NOW our insurance has gone up because they don't protect your property while dragging their feet to fix your vehicle. Customer service wasn't good either. I'm TOTALLY dissatisfied and disappointed because our initial experience was so great. DONT BUY AN RV from here or anywhere more than 20-30 minutes away from your home. (This is my personal opinion based on my experience and other reviews I read as well) We drove an hour and half to be messed over. RV's are too expensive to be treated so poorly. read more

My class A RV has been in service since April 8th, they still have not completed my repair or contacted my insurance provider . it is currently July 11 and they stated they only have five technicians but after over three months, I no longer feel that I am getting service at all. I have missed the entire camping season due to their incompetence. My catalytic converter was stolen off of my RV while in their lot. I had to use my own insurance and my own deductible due to their incompetence. After leaving Leo's vacation Center in Maryland after a terrible customer service experience, my husband and I called Camping World to see if they had the RV we had just seen or a similar one on their lot. Destiny, who we talked to over the phone, was incredibly pleasant and was able to arrange an appointment for us immediately that would give us time to drop off two hungry and bored kids at home and make it down to VA. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and our sales rep, Kelly was a dream!! CW did not have as much in stock as Leo's, but Kelly was far more helpful and patient. We saw a variety of options and as a camper herself, she gave us thoughtful and informed guidance. Ultimately, we ended up still wanting a unit they did not have on their location, but they did have at another CW location and they were more than willing to get it from that location for us. There was the standard sales / finance back and forth that you get at all "dealerships," but the deal we ended up with was fair and we left feeling good. We returned five days later to pick up our new RV - a 2021 Keystone Outback 210URS. Again, normal sales / finance last minute push for add-ons, but again, ultimately very happy with the deal we struck. The final walkthrough of our new RV was great and we were able to point out a few things on the unit that we were not happy with and all but one item was fixed immediately. The final item required ordering a rubber tube they did not have in stock, which was fine. Again, ultimately, we were very happy, especially with our sales rep, Kelly!! We purchased our RV at an RV show at the Dulles Expo center back in February. Fast forward to May, and our automatic leveling system and generator for the RV was not working properly. I wanted to give an update on my dealings with Camping World in Manassas. My camper was there for a month to get the rubber roof replaced under warranty. It was a struggle to get them to communicate and to give an honest answer. I finally picked it up (after missing 1 day of our trip). I knew I should have checked it over before I left but they were too busy and they couldnt find a tech to walk it with me. I got to the campground and decided to check out their work and I couldn't believe my eyes. They never replaced the rubber roof. They just glued down my existing roof and slapped on a ton of sealant. I called and emailed but of course now I'm being ghosted. Sad to say I have no other choice but to file a claim with the BBB. Purchased a camper here a week ago, and I could not disagree more with the negative reviews that I am seeing of this dealership here. Our sales representative was knowledgeable and showed us multiple options within our price range. The finance department was quick, and did not have a high pressure sales pitch on the extended warranties and protections. They had a few folks take us through and explain the features of our camper, and installed our hitch that we purchased. Please don't hesitate to take a trip down here and give these guys a shot at earning your business, because everyone there deserves an A+ for making our experience quick, painless, and enjoyable. Bought a new camper love it. Can't wait to go camping. Financing was great. Salesman promised us a 200$ gift card to purchase hoses and things we would need. Should have had them out or in writing. All of a sudden he does not know what I'm talking about. he tried multiple times to tell me that that was just one of the deals they were offering and that when we did final financing that that was not part of it. But of course, nobody told us that we were under the impression that we were getting a $200 gift card to buy necessities for our new RV, so just make sure when you go to buy an RV from these people that you have everything in writing it was our mistake. Great selection of new and used rvs. Staff is always helpful. The retail store is stocked with a-lot of fun camping accessories.

Kareem and the staff only have interest in getting you in the store and making a sale. They have no interest in helping you get the right RV/Camper. Sure they will show you some that meet the need but with so many other things you don'e need. Even when you know what you want they tell you they will search inventory tomorrow and get back to you they then say "let's try to work numbers on this camper. Sure its twice the price but you get all these features that the camper you want doesn't have but we have it here and you can take it now. I'll wave the setup and delivery fee. Those extra $500 recliners just throw them out when you use the trailer." I pass but will wait for your call about the model I want. They don't get back to you at all. Thanks for the reply. I would not mind buying the trailer suggested but I never got the opportunity to see or get an offer to buy the one I really would like to buy. I was there 8 months ago but back then I got the same vibe. It's only about a sale and not about the customer and their future enjoyment. Reading all the reviews customer service is a major issue in the sales and service departments CEO's can keep buying out competitors to win the market but they are ruining the industry. Wendy in service is outstanding. Look, there are some big issues with labor in the RV repair industry, and a 3 month backlog to get work done is not CW's fault (just call around for service!). However, after some initial miscommunication, Wendy and the CW Manassas service team really treated us right getting our slide and plumbing issues fixed. Clear communication from Wendy let me know where I stood and what would happen next, then worked well with our extended warranty company to get things covered. Only reason it's not 5 stars is because I have high service expectations and there were some initial delays that could have been handled better. I will bring my unit back here again for service. read more
