Camping World of Boise was the nearest dealer that had the RV I was looking for in stock. The buying process was fine - not exceptional but nothing to complain about. During the walk through I found several minor issues, including a small tear in the awning material. I was assured that the issues could be taken care of at a Camping World location closer to my home. BEWARE! As soon as they have your money they're done with you. I was told by my local Camping World that the Meridian store needed to authorize the awning repair since it is not a warranty repair. Six weeks of leaving numerous messages for several people in Meridian (including the General Manager) and still no call back. I called Camping World's corporate customer service number which finally resulted in a call back. I was told that they would straighten things out with my local Camping World and get back to me. I did get a call back several days later and was told that he couldn't reach anyone at my local CW. He suggested that he would just put repair tape on the awning! I purchased a brand new trailer and do not find that "taping up" the awning on it is acceptable. I finally had to resort to emailing Forest River to try to get things resolved. I received a call from Camping World's region service manager the day after emailing Forest River. He has ensured that the parts have been ordered. Two weeks after communicating with the region service manager I finally received a call from the Service Manager in Meridian to see if he could do anything to help. Too little, too late. Once the awning is replaced I do not intend to do any business with any Camping World location, including online parts/accessories. Any corporation that allows such terrible service to continue (look at the other reviews - there's obviously a problem) does not deserve my business. read more

I have been going to this location for multiple years now, due to the unfortunate circumstance that they have a large supply store. Their customer service is poor at best. No one seems to genuinely want to help you, but rather that you are inconveniencing them with your presence. It would be nice to go in the store just once with and feel welcome and appreciated, in 5 years it has yet to happen. read more

We purchased our 2018 Keystone Cougar Travel Trailer 2 weeks ago and just love it! Being one that is somewhat suspicious and hesitant with large purchases, I was pleasantly surprised on how smooth and stress-free the entire experience was. Beginning with our salesperson Megan, who was fun and made us feel completely at ease while we shopped and answered all of the questions we asked or the finance manager Efrem who we felt completely comfortable with in closing our deal. I feel we got the best possible outcome we could have received. We also want to thank Rick, our service tech who conducted our final inspection and walk-thru prior to us pulling the trailer off the lot. He was awesome. We did not feel rushed and he took his time explaining everything that we asked. We did have one small issue with the trailer while on our maiden 3 day campout. The A/C was not working properly. We called Camping World from our campground and spoke with Ron. To our surprise he in turn sent Jeff (Service Tech) to our campground to inspect and repair the problem. Jeff replaced the thermostat in the trailer and we were quickly back enjoying our "cool" Travel Trailer. Great Service! You can't ask for any better then this. Bought a Honda generator from Camping World in Meridian, Idaho. It turned out to be defective right out of the box (rough idle, backfiring). Camping World was absolutely worthless after the sale. We got our 40' Class A washed at Blue Beacon in Fernly, NV and almost as soon as we left, headed for Boise, the refrigerator started beeping. We tried several fixes, pushing various buttons, opening the vent cover,etc to no avail. When we got to Winnemucca, we phoned Camping World, in Meridian, ID and spoke to Lee in Service. He was very apologetic, saying he probably wouldn't have a spot for us for several weeks. I explained I thought it might be a simple thing related to maybe the RV wash water blasting into the compartment. He offered to have me in his "wait line" which I accepted and drove from Winnemucca. We arrived and almost immediately were talking with Lee. Within 15 minutes a technician (Darryl Frar) accompanied Lee and I to my RV. Darryl tinkered with some wires, then acquired the fridge tech book and tried a simple fix with a magnet. It did not work. He then called the manufacturer and was placed on hold. He offered to wait on hold while he conducted some other work. I accepted and related we would wait until closing time in hopes someone from the mfg. would answer. While setting up an appointment with Lee, Darryl came up and related the mfg. admitted the spec book was wrong. We went back out to the RV and attached a magnet to the fridge sensor for 2+ minutes (instead of 30 seconds). VIOLLA, the fridge started. Yea. BEN in Parts was also very helpful in looking for parts for the fridge. Lee and Darryl and Ben went above and beyond in working me into their tight schedule and out of this problem and in conversing with them were professional and personable. I must say my wife and I were extremely pleased with the excellent customer service we received. read more

WOW and I thought car dealerships were a scam. Whoever is considering buying a camper from here DONT!! Go right next door to bishs rv. We bought our camper in July of 2017. Had it for a month, identified a ton a of problems, took it back to get fixed and now here it is february of 2018 and still no camper. Had a meeting with general manager Ron Baker and he assured us he is going to overnight parts and have it done asap and he also said he would reimburse us for the 7 months of payments with no camper. I have emailed and called him several times and nothing! Now we are going to sue camping world....so awesome.... these guys are the most unprofessional place I have ever been to in my life!! Please save yourselves a headache and a half and go ANYWHERE else. So apparently the managers are just as bad as the dumbasses in the service dept. I even referred people to camping world that are having the same exact issues I'm having so they made me look bad as well. I sher hope I can get my money back. read more

Brought my coach in for some extended warranty work. When dropping it off I was assured it could be done with my 3 week timeline. I called in weekly to the service dept but could actually NEVER get them to pick up or call back. Ended up driving in to check on the progress. Nothing was done in 3 weeks except getting charged for diag. Asked if simple slide service was done - Was assured it was and heard a long winded explanation on why it was more money than originally quoted. Warranty work could not get done on other items because "parts are at least 8 weeks out". Paid for slide service and diagnosis rip off and went to leave. Checked slide and nothing seemed done. Went back in and grabbed my service rep and a tech to check it out. The tech said - we never serviced this slide? Rep acted shocked and said I could come back in for a 1 day turn around on the slide. Caught them in a total lie and was charged for service that didn't actually get done!. BTW called the local freightliner guys and they had the needed parts and could give me a one day turn around for the other items I wanted done. Bottom line my opinion is that the Boise Camping world service dept reps are at best completely inept and have NO CLUE on how to run their business. PLEASE go ANYWHERE else if you need service. Don't let them rip you off. read more

I hardly post reviews unless I feel they will be useful. Whether they are negative or positive. This one happens to be a positive one. I have been trying to get my family's travel trailer de-winterized for the past couple weeks and have been unsuccessful due to the fact I work out of town during the week. This makes my time at home on the weekend compact with chores, family, and errands. I called multiple locations and was given quotes ranging from $69.99 to $199.99 (way to try and rob people Bish's). I called Camping World and talked to Charlie Organista in the service department. He was extremely polite, professional, and courteous. He informed me he could get me in the very next day, would only need the trailer for roughly 45 min and it would be $50 bucks. So I said done! I arrived 30 min late due to the kids and trying to get out the door. When I arrived, Charlie was not bothered by it at all. He asked if I could wait while I had the service done. I replied that it would be hard since I am a father of 16 month old twins and they were both sleeping in the truck at the time. Charlie said "no worries, I'll send a couple guys out right now and we'll have it done shortly." Well the twins woke up anyways, so I took them inside and pushed them around the store. While inside Charlie told me "once the service is done, just take off, use the $50 for your twins and have a good day." He had no reason to offer this. I called the day prior, I was late showing up, and I couldn't really wait the 45min. They were done in about 20 min and the twins and I were out of there! I really appreciated the patience and service I was given. I know not every experience is like mine and if it was they wouldn't be in business but I would at least give Camping World the chance to earn your business. Give Charlie a call! read more

I dropped my RV off the last week of May for the following: Steps not working properly and a possible transmission leak. I just picked up my RV today.... yes AUGUST 15!!!!! It took 2 1/2 months to fix the aforementioned items, which is absolutely ludicrous. The entire process was an absolute joke and I will never step foot into a Camping World anywhere. I have also advised my friends to do the same and will post on social media as well. After dropping off, I did receive back nearly three weeks later; however, I noticed that the leak was still present and even worse. I contacted CW and returned the RV to be fixed again. It sat there for two weeks before they even looked at it. I was told by KEITH RYALS that I was on the "Priority List," and it would be back soon, but that was not the case. They looked at for several weeks and could not locate the leak. During this time, I called frequently to get updates. due to their lack of communication. They finally contacted me and told me they were taking it to another transmission "specialist," which I did not know where or who this company was. After several days and multiple emails, I was finally notified of where my RV was. Surprised how the mechanics at CW could not fix.... may need to look at who they are hiring! While at the specialist shop, I was told it was the torque converter, then not sure and then the transmission pump. Again, it sat at the "specialist shop for nearly two weeks before anyone looked at it. I was told by ANDRES at CW that, "We are at the mercy of the specialist shop and there is nothing we can do." I asked someone to call over and let them know the urgency; however, I was told by ANDRES there is nothing they can do. JT at CW, who I believe is a service manager at CW gave me his card and wrote his personal cell number on the back and instructed me to call anytime I needed anything. I sent 8 message with NO RESPONSE!!! What a joke. I then called and asked for a Branch Manager and was told we only have a General manager and his name is DAN. They took a message and told me he would call back asap. I called 4 hours later and left another message and again, no return message from DAN the GM. Finally got a call from WILL at CW who stated that the specialist called and stated that it would take 1-3 days to receive the part and an additional 1-4 days to repair. I asked if things could be expedited and again was told, "we are at the mercy of the specialist shop." During this whole fiasco, the RV was purchased by a gentleman out of state. I had to push the date back three different times for him to pick up and he still has let to retrieve. The pl;an was for his son to come retrieve the RV and deliver to him in Minnesota. It was a surprise for mom, as he was bringing the grand kids....well, this unfortunately never happened. I was promised two different completion dates and three weeks past and still did not have RV. For me personally, I am in education and have the summers off. I return to work in August each year. I missed several camping trips, trip back to California to see my family and memories that I will never be able to get back. THEY HAD MY SUMMER THE ENTIRE SUMMER!!!!! I literally missed out on an entire summer with my family. I was not offered anything (maybe a rental RV to enjoy, gift card, etc....). I was barely even offered an apology. I went to pick up today after they said they washed and it looked terrible!!!! I thought maybe a wax was in order, fill the tank and a huuuuuuge apology. Unfortunately, I showed up and KEITH RYALS barely said a word, let alone an apology. ANDRES came in handed me my paperwork and said have a great day. Again, no apology or anything! What an absolute disgrace when it comes to customer service. BBB 3 years = 794 complaints. Last year = 205. I will do my best to keep people from suffering the same disappointment that me and my family went through. I contacted the Corporate Office and was directed to JESSICA (Joke). The CEO states that, "If you are not happy, I am not happy." Well Mr. CEO, I am beyond not happy!!!! read more

First off. The employees I dealt with were nice and helpful. Maybe this bad review stems from being short handed. I had to make all the calls, 6 of them. Only did I get a call back when I made that call saying I am concerned about the service I am not being provided. My concerns were, do you have the parts? How much? How long will it take? This is what ended up happening. Call, tell them we need to pick up. 12 days later they are just starting the work. Still don't know labor price. We know parts are in stock and price for them. At checkout they added $100 for shipping. Shipping what? I ask. Mistake, so they remove it. I pay and sign off. I ask for a walk thru because I just signed that all is good. They thought this odd. During walk thru 2 items I asked for not completed. Frustrating. Will try another place next time. My 22 ft travel trailer is a 2015 and in excellent condition. Thought when reading this review you should know that it wasn't a 1978 with problems. read more

My salesman, Ryan Bair was great to work with. He was very patient while I dragged him back and forth between to trailers I couldn't decide on. He was a very good sport, and I appreciated all his help. I was, however deeply disappointed when I went to pick up the trailer a few days later only to find out that the "inspection and walk through" which I had naturally assumed was part of the deal were an extra hidden cost of several hundred dollars. I truly believe Tim Huddleston is a very honest sales person and I would do business with him again. We purchased a Winnebago Fuse in April 2018 and Tim was most helpful. He did research for us, without a commitment that we would purchase - Tim was just helping us figure it all out. We went on two test drives, two separate motor homes, and it took us a month to commit to purchase. Tim was very patient with us - no pressure. So I posted a review on 2/29/20, see there was a response on 3/13/20. What a joke that response is. I contacted the email address the rep listed and NOTHING happened and no one contacted me from the dealership. As a matter of fact they blamed me for the damaged they caused. So ask yourself this why would the rep from send me to a corporate email address rather than contacting me directly. They have my contact information cus I tried to work this out with them. Or better yet, why not ask me to call so they can fix it? Well because they are not trustworthy and they are not honest. Every one of their responses to a negative review says the same thing; contact the corporate email they give you. It's called the run around because the people who can do something are at the dealership not in some room with a 1,000 others typing out responses to something they know nothing about. The response I got is the typical response to ALL negative reviews. Probably a cut and paste that is from a script. Look for yourself as it relates to the negative reviews. I am being truthful when I tell you to RUN, RUN, RUN from this place. They do not honor anything except making money no matter the cost to the consumer and that is a FACT. The sales department and finance department did a great job. I wish I'd read the reviews about the service department before I bought from Camping World. They failed to properly inspect my 2018 Class C motorhome for major defects before delivery. six days after purchase I attempted to fill the fresh water tank. Water would not even trickle into the tank from the hose. When I called, I was treated like I didn't know what I was doing, accused of causing the problem, and called sweetheart and hon by the technician. I checked my RV in the next day and was told by Charlie that it was my fault and was handed a bill for $207. 11 days later I picked up the unit and found that the intake hose was kinked which made it impossible to fill the fresh water tank. The service manager did apologize and did not charge me for fixing something that was suppose to have been inspected in their pre delivery inspection process, as required by the manufacturer. I've requested a copy of this report from 3 different employees, but have still not received it . If you are not under any obligation to go to Camping World Service department, i.e. warranty work, I would highly recommend going somewhere else. read more

DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE! We bought a brand new camper that, unknown to us, had rips in the canvas and a bad water pump. Used it one time and found out the hard way about the rips and water pump, and returned it for service as soon as we got back from our weekend from hell. 2 1/2 months later it is STILL NOT FIXED. They offered to take it back for a trade in, at $4000 LESS than we paid for it. We have been making payments on the camper (and storage) for a useless vehicle, a and, of course, camping season is over. It has been difficult to get calls returned from them, too. They have not apologized. We even called their corporate headquarters to file a complaint, and never heard back from anyone there, either. If at all possible, go elsewhere to do business. read more

I recently purchased a motor home from this dealer coming from Idaho Falls to finalize the purchase. The salesman I contacted offered to film a video of the motor home I was interested in and did a fantastic job of showing me top to bottom and side to side of the motor home. When I arrived to final the sale, the salesman and finance person were absolutely on top of things and did everything to help us get on our way. I was so skeptical about the "walk through" which was listed as part of the final step in the purchase process but was truly amazed at all I learned - such a great tool for someone buying for the first time or just an aid in getting to know the vehicle you purchased. Do a thorough inspection of your new RV before taking delivery. We were so caught up in how everything worked we did not pay attention to detail. Once we got it home we though man they did not clean this RV, I mean it was dirty both inside and out. The outside looked like it had been run through a mud puddle mud everywhere underneath it. Bought a travel trailer from them. Problem 1 over weight, was told it was 4500 and it came in at 5800. We could tow 6000 total. Called in and talked to the manager about it and was told "you should have done more research before buying." Problem 2. Looking at a Class A motorhome. Had a salesman tell me he had the "Perfect" one for us in "mint" condition. I guess that having cracks running from the top of the coach to the bottom of the coach that were 1 inch wide is "mint". Plus there was a long vertical split in the bedroom closet. These were supposed to be "cosmetic" and "nothing to worry about." Needless to say we bought a class a somewhere else. So now onto problem 3. We asked for a refund on some of the add on's that we paid for but did not use. As it was written in the contract we came in in person, filled out the paperwork and waited. It is 9 weeks now and still no refund. Must do a lot of one time business because I can see no reason for them to prosper based on integrity of the sales staff or the promptness of the refunds/claim re-imbursement nor the Managerial Staff's courtesy training. Service on brand new Winnebago has been terrible. Still not fixed after 2 months. Camping World winterize the unit last fall. This spring when CW summarized the RV, they found a leak because the shower faucet must have frozen over the winter. They said they would cover the repair because they winterized the unit. Two month later, they still do not have the replacement faucet, so we don't have a working shower. The skylight also needed repair under warranty. CW tried to contact the manufacturer 5 different times, but could not get help from Dometric. CW suggested that I contact Dometic directly which I did. I sent them photos and they authorized the repair the next day. CW thanked me for getting it done. I shouldn't have to be the one to do CW's job. Problem is, CW still does have the part to repair our RV. ....... CW is not even giving me updates now. It's been 2 months now without using the RV. I would recommend going anywhere else, just not Camping Worlds. read more

Absolutely, hands down, the worst customer service ever! Employees don't care, the sales people are more interested in texting and playing on their cell phones, than helping customers. Today I called the parts department to see if they had mud flaps in stock; the guy said, I'm pretty sure we have them. I asked if he could check as I would be driving in from a long ways away. He acted like it was a hassle, put me on hold, and never came back to the phone. My guess is that management is the real problem here. The average employee here only has been there a few months! My husband and I were visiting a total of 4 RV dealerships. This one was the first stop. The sales guy we were seated with told us several times that he was on commission. I found it very distasteful. We were looking for a specific trailer size, not sure if we wanted new or used, but he was pushy and mentioned he was paid commission at least 5 times in the 20 minutes we spent with him. He was just not a great salesman. I would not waste my time going here. We ended up with an amazing 2018 RV anyways! I just wouldn't give them my business due to this mans performance. read more

We gave Camping World 2 chances to service our 5th wheel. Both times we were epically disappointed. The first time we dropped our RV off at their service center, they did none of the work they were supposed to do, and instead gave us a list of excuses as to why they didn't do any of the work. We gave them another chance a couple months later. Again, we dropped our RV to be serviced, and again we were extremely disappointed. This time, they put the wrong color decal on the exterior of our RV, they replaced our king size bed set with a queen size set (we have a king size bed), they did not install the cabinet door they were supoosed to install but rather lost the hardware for the door that we had paid for out of pocket, and they broke our closet door hinge. We then took our RV to Dennis Dillon, and they fixed everything in a professional timely manner. Save yourself a world of headache and frustration and only take your RVs to Dennis Dillon. read more

Yet another one star rating for Camping World in Meridian. I browsed parts for my recently purchased trailer. Found the part I wanted and inquired about where to purchase propane. The pleasant sales clerk told me where to go to get the propane and to bring my slip back and she'd ring them up together. She would call to have someone come fill my tanks. The distance to the tank filling area is not short. So I drive my RV over, took off the tanks and waited.....and waited. 15 minutes and nothing. I walked up to reception to ask for help and they rudely referred me back to the retail area. That same, formerly friendly sales clerk snapped at me that she had already told her manager. I walked back out and waited again. Same result. I'm can't figure out why there isn't a call box, accept of course that they want you to spend time in the retail area. Again I tromped back in. Now there is a long line at the retail desk. Waited in line, by then I was so angry I walked out, put the tanks back in my RV and left. I will not return. read more

My husband and I bought a used camper two months ago now from camping world Boise, loved the guy that serviced our camper very knowledgeable man can't remember his name but from Sheridan, Wyoming! They sales department on the other hand.. I found the camper on there online site so I knew what I wanted! Didn't need to be sold on anything! The sales man (Nurija Kajdic) couldn't have given less crap, I was just another picture on his wall! I had to wait 20 minutes for the manager to come out and put me in the phone with there insurance. I ended up hanging up the phone. As I packed two huge boxes for the camper out to leave with two small children in a very busy parking lot in tow, he went out the opposite door not holding it open while on the phone and followed us out never offering to help with a box just to reach the pickup and ask for a picture. Then the next day as I'm trying to register it in another state the wrong information is on the paper work! I call and they say I don't know how it got in there and to rip it up! Couple weeks later the manager that I tried 20 times to call finally calls me back saying the computer mixed stuff up... And they need to over night me paper work. Long story short it was a miserable experience! And they we'll never see my business again! read more

I have had several experiences with the Meridian location and would rather shove bamboo shoots up my fingernails than deal with them again! The last time we went in there was the last straw. We saw a model online that stated it was at the Meridian location and very much wanted to see it. I had been researching floor plans and features for a couple of weeks. We entered the building and were greeted by a receptionist and a salesman. The salesman immediately took us to his office and started grilling my husband with questions. I went to get our grandson some popcorn and when we returned he was already talking about credit and wanting to pull our credit report. He wanted to know how we were going to pay for the RV. My husband did not want this pushy representative to know that we had cash so he offered our old trailer for trade and told him we may have to finance the rest. We hadn't even been given the opportunity to see the unit and he was wanting to write up the paperwork. There was no way I was telling this guy that we had just received an inheritance and could get a cashiers check for the unit that we wanted. When I finally put my foot down about wanting to see it before we went any further he reluctantly took us outside after supposedly checking to see if the unit was available for viewing. When we exited the building to the lot there were 6 golf carts sitting empty at the door and he looked at me and my cane that I use to walk with and said we will walk it isn't too far. Now he is two strikes down in my book and I am thinking there is no way I am spending my money at this place, especially with this yahoo. We walked out to the area of the lot where it was suppose to be but he could not find it and finally showed us another unit with the same features but different floor plan. I need an unit that I can climb in and out of easily. He said he would go look for the other one and be back. When he returned he said that the unit must be at their Nampa storage facility and would be available to see in a few weeks. He decided that we were not worth the effort and he said to feel free to look around and bolted back to the building leaving me to limp around with my cane. We looked around as much as my leg could tolerate (which isn't much) and then returned to the building. When we went to the exit to leave he was at the front door again chatting up his next victims. Inside I was seething. Now if I told this guy that I had $40,000 in the bank for the 5th wheel we wanted he probably would have followed us home but since we didn't he did not have the time of day for us. Fortunately, we have still have our money and are looking for a unit that will make us happy. We have found a used one online and will be looking at it this week. Hopefully the next person we encounter has better customer service and will remember that we are still humans and not just paycheck. read more

Don't know about the sales side but stay away from their service department. They will charge 4-5 times what anyone else will. They "find" all sorts of non existent problems, canning seem to ever get things done in the time they quote you and find all sorts of ways to add more to your bill. Horrible customer service!!! Do not purchase anything from this Camping World, especially the batteries. Mine went bad during the lame one-year warranty. I asked for replacement, was told no way. Purchase batteries at a NAPA Auto Parts store. They are cheaper and have a THREE-year warranty. I argued my case with the so called "manager" and was asked to leave the store! Gee, I guess they don't want any customers around when the former customers come back with a complaint. They might get to witness how they're treated "after the sale". read more

If I could I would put a negative star for this site. We bought an RV at this place one year ago. There was an RV advertised on the internet that looked real good and was just what we were looking for in a class A. It came with a toad (a Smart car)! When we got there we were told they sold the toad separately and it was gone. Although the internet still showed the toad in the ad. We got to Meridian after traveling from Montana to see the advertised RV. We waited way too long for the salesman to help us even though we made an appointment to see him. We should have just got up and left. The salesman could not find the RV we asked to see and he was confused as to which one we wanted to see. Strike 2!. Now he found it but begins to talk about how the previous owner put it on consignment and such. All talk from this salesman is negative about the previous owner and the RV. It still looked good to us. Salesman then wants to show us another similar RV. We look at it. He begins to talk this one up real hard!! All positive now! We should have left at this point as this was the CLASSIC BAIT AND SWITCH coming on. This RV was not as nice, dirty inside and out. Cheaper yes, but we liked the first one better. We asked to drive the first RV. We were told to go to the waiting area and the salesman would get it out to where we could drive it. Time marches on.....(we should have left)...now we are told the RV will not start and there is techs working on it. Time marches on.....finally told it will not start and would we be interested in trying the other RV? OK sure....(we should have refused and left) The test drive went ok. We checked out the RV and found the coach batteries were missing and in their place was one small 12v battery that would not power much for very long. Previous owner had taken the other batteries as well as a few other things we noticed. Solar panel, satellite receiver antenna, and who knows what else. The salesman could not identify what I guessed was an DC to AC inverter. Salesman had previously told us how he had been selling RV's for many years yet he could not confirm that what I guessed was an inverter. After going through the finance person who claimed at one point she had not made a mistake in 3 years and yet she just made a mistake on our contract..how weird is that? The RV was ready the next day for us to pick up. We inspected it and were told it was in excellent shape. Turns out later in the day we are leaving the lot and it starts raining....Wipers are not working. Oh yeah it is in excellent shape. I had to rustle up the service manager to get this fixed as we are on the road to Carson City NV without wipers. The manager and a service tech put in a USED part and promise to send a new one to us. That ends up taking 2 weeks and several phone calls. The keys to the RV do not include the deadbolt lock key and only one set of keys. More phone calls and more waiting to get the new lockset from Winnebago via the CW service manager. On the road now and stopping in Winnemucca NV for the night. We lost coach battery power and cannot pull in the slides or start the engine. The new coach batteries they put in are dead. Many phone calls later we get a service person to spend 4 hours rewiring the so-called aux battery with new cables and relocating same to the battery box under the steps. We have road service and a service contract but we had to eat the 4 hour service person charge because nothing was replaced. I could go on with this but I will finish by saying...BEWARE OF BUYING FROM THIS PLACE!!! THE SALES PEOPLE ARE NOT HONEST! read more

I have always liked Camping World, at least the one out of state, but this one takes the cake! I went there on Monday to get (2) 5 gallon propane bbq tanks filled, and I went inside, spoke to nice lady at front desk, she directed me to a gentleman at the left desk who handles propane. He was on the phone, he acknowledged me (sort of) and she said I could wait out in my car for him. I expected a few min wait due to his phone call, but then began to see many customers walking in, and being helped by HIM no less. After shy of 30 min/8 songs on the radio, I went back in and asked if he was ever going to stop helping new customers and help me? The guy at the front desk said he was the only 1 who did propane and I'd have to continue to wait. I thought that was sort of rude as I was there before these other customers. I finally walked out and left and went over to Bish's RV directly next store, and had my propane filled and took off in about 10 min of arrival. All just too easy, not so easy at Camping World. Sadly this wasn't even a BUSY day for them. I must say, there was a worker in the back area who noticed I hadn't been helped, he asked me, I told him what was up, and sadly he couldn't do the propane to help me, otherwise I would have only waited for about 15 min. So unless your buying an RV/Trailer or something for it, they don't care about you. Last time I go there for any trailer accessories or especially propane! read more

Customer service at it's very worst. Service department and management refuse to resolve problems and do NOT respond to e-mails or voice mail. My first experience purchasing a camper was and still is a total nightmare. I highly recommend anyone to shop elsewhere. I can't believe management at any level allows this to happen. Last Spring we went toyhauler shopping. We found the perfect kind at Camping World in Meridian, Idaho and asked if they would order one for us in a smalleer size than they had in stock and we'd pay cash. They said they would... but never did. No one called back even though we left our number. We called to check on it and was blown off. So, we found and bought a used toyhauler from a private party. We took it to Camping World for any maintainance that might need to be done... wow, you think we should've learned our lesson with them already... they came up with all kinds of "issues"... we let them do what we thought was necessary, including roof inspection and winterizing it. Part of that process includes draining the hot water tank... guess who forgot to do that? Fortunately, the guy checking us out double checked the work quickly and found that problem so took care of it... hmmmm... makes me wonder if he knows something is subpar. Well, the recent ads have a deal to buy leveling jacks for $89 and installation of $39... they told us that they'd need to install a bracket since the trailor doesn't have one... so our $130 deal ended up being nearly $500... Before we picked the trailor up they called to let us know that they checked the roof (we didn't request that) and was informed the roof needed to be patched up in several places and they could do it fo $800... I told them that they inpected the roof last fall when they winterized it. The response is that the sealant is only guaranteed for 90 days, even from the manufacturer... So, I wonder if they inspect and reseal all the trailors on the lot every 90 days?! Anyway, my husband bought a tube of sealant and will patch it up himself for less than $10. That's the last time we step foot in that place. read more

We bought a brand new RV elsewhere because the salesman at Camping World pestered us to death when we went to 'just look' there. Did call CW to get an estimate on installing a tow package on our car. Gave all the details, no call back. Went in person, gave all the details, no call back. Complained to Marcus Limone who owns CW. Went elsewhere for tow package but now told we can have warranty work done at CW by Forest River & rather skeptical about using their services. read more

The store and parts department here are nice. That's about it. Do not ever take your RV for service to this place. We took our RV in to have them do their silver service plus generator service. They came back and told us that there were two leaks in the propane system, one in the range and one in the fridge. The part for the fridge was no longer available. So their solution was to buy a new fridge. Within five minutes of me looking online I found an alternative part number that the manufacturer had issued. They said that they could perform the generator service because there was no gas in the generator, but my rig has an under rig generator that pulls fuel from the gas tank. Kind of scary that I knew more than their techs and I just bought the RV, which is my first one, less than a month before I took it in. They also left my black water valve open with the cover on the drain pipe. I spotted it before we left for a trip but when I went to the dump to make sure everything was drained, it spilled waste all over my clothes and shoes and all over the dump site. To say I was upset is a huge understatement. So not trusting what they had told me, I got a second opinion on the leaks. Surprise, surprise the person that I had do a second test found NO leaks anywhere in the LP system. They tried to scare me into buying new appliances and I refused to fall into their web of lies! There were other little things that they said were broken or didn't work, like the LP detector. They said it needed to be replaced because the old one didn't work at all. Granted it did need to be replaced due to age, but it wasn't working because there was no fuse installed in the breaker box for it. I had to figure that one out. At this point I'm not 100% sure what we paid $450 for. I would highly recommend taking your RV to anywhere but here! If I could give it zero stars I would. read more
