As we all know RV's are like small homes, now imagine transporting your home over all kinds of terrains. Things here and there might happen inside your home. Mind you camping world is just the dealer they receive these units from the manufacturer in the condition they arrive in, they do their due diligence in testing the units for each customer and do a walk through with you showing you everything functioning etc. They offer very affordable trailers and are a huge company with many many clients. I honestly think camping world took great care of me and were very fair. They were patient with me when I became frustrated with things out of their control. And honestly are no different than other dealers who have good reputations, Tesla takes just as long do to everything camping world does. With that being said my experience with camping world has had a few rough patches but Scott the general manager was diligent and very helpful. He's taken care of me and that's all I can ask for. That's all they can do. And for that I am grateful. Thank you Scott. I will be keeping you guys in mind for my next trailer. This is the worst company ever they are liars, cheats, and thieves. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I purchased a brand new keystone hideout travel trailer from them about three years ago during Covid. I immediately noticed that on very hot days. The black water tank seemed to be leaking especially on hot days. Because it was new it was under warranty, so I took it to them to have it checked out. They had it for several days and did nothing except cause more damage. There were new dents and my ladder in the back had been damaged also the cap for storing my electric cable was missing. They did not even open the underbelly to take a look at the leak. I'm a disabled veteran and don't use it much but the couple times I used it, it got worseover time. After, a couple years of dealing with this a friend of mine that knows RV repair came over this week. He took the underbelly off and helped me fix the leak. He noticed that it was obvious on the side where the black water drains, Camping World tried to fix it. They removed the screws and had used nails to seal the side and made it very difficult to remove the underbelly. Apparently they knowingly sold me a damaged unit and that is why they did not take a look at it when I brought it in for service. It would've taken too much time for them to remove the nails they had put in. They may have damaged the underbelly and had to replace it. This is a very evil and dishonest company and you should stay clear of them. I found out they have a lot of lawsuits against them for doing similar shady business. They truly do not care about their customers. I would never go back to that location nor would I ever recommend them. read more

Stay Away from selling your RV to them. I sold my RV travel tailer to them months ago, they paid off the loan balance and received the title. They have lied to me several times, several, saying they were waiting for the electronic title, which there is no such thing, and have lied to me several times about payment being sent. If you try to get your RV in for recalls it takes months to get an appt. I bought a 33 foot Grand Design used and I paid 30,000 left a 7000 toward it, 5 years ago, with all the taxes and out the door ended up being 30,000 still. My payment has been 300.00 for 5 years now i still owe 24,000 more than its worth. Have all kinds of problems but, customer service is awful! Well we are almost to that retirement age and want to explore the U.S. So naturally, we headed up to Camping World to help envision our future in a camper. This is a large facility with everything a camper/RVer/or even outdoorsman is looking for. They have everything from tents, pop-up campers, bumper tows, 5th wheelers, motor homes and everything to fill them! They offer great benefits nationwide to people who buy from them (something to consider). Where to start? Enter Brian. Older, funny and relatable guy, who just so happens to know all there is about everything campers. Little did he know,I was going to put that knowledge to the test. I had so many questions! So my husband and I sat down briefly, gave him some ideas of what we wanted & needed. He went over the basics and even some things we had not considered. We let him know we were in our beginning stages and were not here to buy today and he was totally okay with that. There was no pressure. He was a plethora of knowledge. He took us out into the yard and just started getting us into trailers. Originally we thought small. Next thing, we're looking at 5th wheels. With all this information, what we liked, what we needed and what we could live without, he could see we needed to process. I have to say, I'm not any closer to figuring out which is a better option, but it has opened up the conversation between my husband and I about what experience we are looking for in the coming years. Our Sales experience was super friendly professional and non-aggressive. Our salesperson Johnathan Ellis was recommend to us because the person we worked with in the past was on vacation. Apparently they have sales-teams and she was lucky to have such a great partner. Jonathan asked us basic questions to get a gauge of what we were looking for, time frame etc. Then he showed us camping world's current inventory. We casually looked and we spoke the whole time. Saw everything, even things out of budget but the purpose was to find what we truly wanted/needed. Jonathan was patient and it was like hanging out with a friend and shopping at mall on a weekend. Just easy. After we exhausted the physical inventory, Johnathan invited inside the office to explore what camping would could provide via other dealerships through their computer system. FYI camping world was very polite and offered cold beverages because it was a hot day. The air conditioned office was a nice break from the sun. Anyways, Johnathan found what we were looking for and he has been giving us reminder texts here and there to check if we are still interested. Against my better judgement, I called CW and asked about a microwave they advertised. I was told they have it in stock, so I drove the hour down from the Antelope Valley to see. We were there to make a purchase. Years ago you could go in and find a wall of appliances to choose from. Not anymore. Their brainiac management reorganized the store and now there is one microwave, one refrigerator and one dish washer on display. I asked for help regarding the microwave and was greeted with a lady who had zero knowledge. She took us to the parts department where we waited while one employee was taking care of another customer. No other employees came out to help, and I saw several there when I first walked in. After about 10 minutes of standing there waiting for at least an acknowledgement from the one and only employee still trying to figure out the other customers issue, I decided I would never come back to this company for anything. Camping World can't get much of anything right. Totally foiled a sale where we were doing the walkthrough and about to sign the financials. Forced to use them for maintenance as they are the closest for approved service for Thor warranty items. Held our camper hostage for 2 weeks while dodging our calls, come to find out they had moved our camper to a storage lot while waiting in recall/ part items. Not sure why they couldn't communicate any of that to us prior to us demanding the camper back to prepare for a planned trip. We also subscribed to Good Sam (another Marcus Lemonis company) so that we can dump for free and fill propane at a discount at Camping World nation-wide. Our local CW's system (get a token from the cashier to give to the attendant) is pretty inconvenient and the guy who attends the dump site and propane is the most crabby "customer service" employee they have. Aside from the attendant, it seems like the employees try to do a good job, but their business systems are horrendous. Disappointed by Marcus Lemonis because I was a big fan of his business show, The Profit. Doesn't seem like the strong business person I thought he should be. The sales manager apologized and said "well, someone is losing their job". 7 months later I still don't have the trailer repaired. They went back on all of their promises to rectify the situation. I mean, I'm 66 and have made many high dollar purchases in my life, encountering 1 or 2 great employees, but I have NEVER experienced EVERY employee so helpful, and leaving us feeling each sincerely sought to do their very best to genuinely care about the end result being that we would be happy customers. Gosh, I have held many manager positions in my life and one of my key goals was always to hire, train, and foster a "team environment" where every member had ownership to fulfill the customer's expectations as well as your Valencia team did today!! Just awesome! Scott, as General Mgr, is Outstanding! He clearly has fostered a great management team and has a natural synergy with each. He also is very approachable with a demeanor that encourages working together. We chatted about many topics, both, relating to our purchase and other interests, making the interaction one of open friendliness and fostering a high level of trust. We just liked them so much! Frank, Rebecca, and Lucia worked so smoothly together, it was like watching a well oiled machine! So, finally, we came in today where I met with Glen at the Parts counter and with his natural ability to exude trust, over recent days and many calls and text msgs to answer our questions, during and after hours, we opted to order upgrades - a 2nd AC, fancy vent covers, and TV mounts. He really went above and beyond, too. Even Scott participated, by unlocking the trailer and assisting me with measuring the opening for the TV, plus answering all my questions. Next, we were introduced to Buddy for a final trailer walk-thru. He went above and beyond. We had so many questions and he always gave easily understandable answers. It was great, we learned so much! So, sorry for my memory slipping with the chronological order of events but as we arrived today, I realized I had forgotten my checkbook to write a down payment check and when I informed Lucia and Rebecca, they mentioned I really needed a cashiers check. However, while the Service Techs were installing a weight Distribution Hitch, Lucia offered to drive me to the local Chase Bank where I was able to quickly get a cashier's check. Again, an example of the Camping World team in Valencia going above and beyond! Then, we met with Steve, the Finance Mgr, to sign all purchase related docs. He, too, exuded the friendly demeanor, as the others all had, and he efficiently explained every doc and all the options. He made many suggestions, which were presented in a logical and reasonable way, helping us to purchase several service and warranty extensions. His mannerisms were consistent with the overall "team" environment, as he answered all our questions as we went. We appreciated his commitment to providing us with a purchasing experience that was thoroughly top notch! After this, I'm afraid I forget now the names of two additional employees - one was a young man with blond hair, who took us around the store with a list of typical items, which new RV customers will likely need to ensure a positive camping experience, from the get go with our new trailer. He was so helpful with answering questions and providing guidance and recommendations, that although the final shopping bill totaled around $650, the shopping experience was one of the best I've ever had. No, I think I have never went shopping in any store, buying so many items, and feeling good that they were all needed and with none (not one) pushed upon us. I felt he went above and beyond! When all the dings (extra for cleaning and a walk through) over 100 grand. it wasn't clean and we knew more about the trailer than the guy doing the walk through! The grey/black water tanks are mislabeled ac fan works but the compressor does not so no cool/cold air, leaks in drains day 3 of waiting for a service person to call back if you choose to do business here know 1thing there is absolutely no support so DO NOT BUY ONE "extra" you won't get it but you'll pay a premium to feel good about your $100,000.00+ read more

Took in my camper due to a wiring fault alert I was getting when towing. They looked it over and discovered a serious fault with the emergency breaks. Problem was we were scheduled to leave in 48 hours on our maiden voyage. I shared with Regina that this was our maiden voyage and we would just hate to cancel our first trip. After years debating on wether we were ready to make this life time purchase my husband and I decided to go along with it and we felt very happy to finally be able to get what for so long was just one of our dream ventures. I had done research on many RVs and RV dealerships and I thought everything would be great. Even tho a used unit was a lot cheaper we decided we wanted to make sure we would not have any problems that belong to someone else so we went for a new unit. This is what they told us any way. They said the 2k and so miles where from the trip bringing the unit from the factory to CA. Never the less this brand new unit has been a nightmare from day one. We own a home in Vegas and decided to drive from SVF to our Vegas home and from there go to Lake mead for a night and get a chance to spend some time with the kids and family for a weekend. The unit started malfunctioning immediately, an hour into our trip the ac stopped working, completely blowing no air whatsoever. The floor in the front passenger cabin reached 100 degrees and the air in the camper was hot as hell the poor kids where dying. We called Camping world and they told us this is NORMAL!!!! Normal? WTF? How is it normal to ride in an oven? Long story short this was the first thing that broke and still broken . Next the trip around the camper which holds down the screws that's keep the camper side panels on the outside together flew off while in the freeway. This is the size of a water hose rubber piece that could have easily hit another vehicle and caused a serious accident besides scaring the hell out of all of us. One side flew off on the way to Vegas and the other side on our way home. The back seat panels in the dinette siting area are coming off, one of the kids wanted to lay on the bunk bed and climbing up to it the front bunk bed panel broke clear off leaving the bunk bed hanging in mid air held by a small piece of wood slat. My mother was hit by a small table that broke off while she sat there reading a book. The microwave trim panel that is supposed to hold the microwave tightly in its place got loose just from the drive and the screws that hold it I place literally just unscrewed them selves from the vibration of the ride. Need I continue? How is this brand new? How is it possible that all these things broke within hours just from driving this thing? It took them 2 weeks to get back 2 us, now my husband's vacation is over and we have a broken down cardboard box with wheels in the garage that costs 89k. And it the thing won't charge either. It has been so stressful to think we could be stuck with this thing that I ended up in the hospital with all the symptoms of a stroke. What a nightmare. I recently had the misfortune of patronizing Camping World in Valencia, and I must say that my experience was nothing short of terrible. From start to finish, I encountered numerous issues that left me feeling frustrated and unsatisfied. First and foremost, the customer service at Camping World was abysmal. The staff members seemed disinterested and lacked basic knowledge about the products/services they were supposed to offer. It was clear that they were either poorly trained or simply didn't care about providing a satisfactory experience for their customers. Moreover, the overall quality of the services I received was well below my expectations. The travel trailer (2022 Alpha-Wolf) I purchased was advertised as top-notch, but it was anything but that. It was shoddily made, with obvious defects and poor craftsmanship. It felt like a complete waste of my hard-earned money. From the first day we picked it up, the back-up camera didn't work. We didn't want to wait around to have it looked at and thought we would bring it back at a later time. During a few camping trips, we experienced 3 other issues that needed warranty work. Trying to call to make an appointment was almost impossible because no one would answer the phone in the service department. I finally got an appointment and took it in for repairs where they took photos of the items I wanted looked at. After leaving the trailer at Camping World for 2 weeks, I got a call saying that 3 of my issues were taken care of and that they needed me to come in to show them the issues I was having with the back-up camera. I drove up, showed the issues (black screen) and they took pics and submitted for warranty replacement. I was told that the other items were taken care of, however nothing was touched. Item #1: The wall was warped and was noted by the Service Advisor Charles, who not only took pics, but told me over the phone that the wall was repaired. When I went to pick it up, nothing was touched. Upon asking why it wasn't repaired, I was told "We submitted the claim to warranty, and the manufacture declined the repair because they would have to move a stud in the wall!" I told the Service Advisor Charles that I wanted it put in writing, which I am still waiting for to this day. Item #2: The refrigerator is freezing everything when on the lowest setting (as warm as you can set it.) I was told by Charles that there was no problem found and that because they couldn't find an issue that they wanted to charge me a $75 diag fee. Upon asking what was done for $75, they couldn't provide any documentation as to what the temps were on each setting and what the specifications were from the manufacture of the fridge. The cause says "Temperature control knob they are sensitive, just needs to be turned down / temperature knob set to high" The correction on the repair order says "Adjusted temperature control knob." So, they wanted to charge me $75 to turn the knob down to the lowest setting even though when I brought it in, I said that the refrigerator freezes everything in the fridge, even on the lowest setting. Chares, the Service Advisor, admitted that all they did was turn down the knob and that they wouldn't charge me for that. This tells me that no diagnostics were done on the fridge. Item #3: The thermostat for the heater works intermittently. When cold during the fall/winter months, the furnace works for the first two times and then all of the sudden stops working. You can see the thermostat is set to the desired temperature, but no heat. I checked to make sure I had propane and all was good. I think turned the thermostat off and back on, set to heat and desired temperature and the furnace lights right up. This tells me something is not right in the thermostat. The cause on the repair order states "Could have been lotta debris inside the furnace or the connection. Pushed connection and it went on a little more that it was." The correction on the repair order states "Blowout the furnace inside. Checked all connections found the connection to the board move a little when I pushed it all the way on. Ran the furnace again, it's working to factory specs. Done" After taking it out after the repair, no change. To add insult to injury, when I tried to reach out to the management to express my concerns and seek a resolution, I was met with complete indifference. My emails and phone calls went unanswered, and it became evident that they had no intention of addressing my valid complaints. This level of disregard for customer satisfaction is inexcusable. In conclusion, I strongly advise against choosing Camping World for your RV needs!!! The lackluster customer service, poor quality products/services, unresponsive management, and inflated prices make this establishment a complete letdown. Save yourself the disappointment and take your business elsewhere where you'll be treated with respect and receive a much better value for your money. read more

I'll be describing this "potential customers unforgettable experience" - Saturday, November 12, 2022. Before I do let me give you some insight my husband & I live in Hemet CA & already own a 27' toy hauler we enjoy going riding/camping with our 3 daughters, family & friends. We decided we wanted to get another smaller camper that my Jeep could tow. We were in Temecula having dinner & we were referred to Camping World we were already in Temecula CA & decided to go look. Unfortunately the camper we were interested in was in MENIFEE CA and couldn't see it that night they were closing. Essentially we were going to purchase a trailer without seeing it they said they could get it delivered to their lot by next week. We discussed with the Temecula Associates & decided ok we'll go to the bank on Saturday and get a check and swing by the MENIFEE LOCATION before we sign the purchase agreement. When we arrived in MENIFEE and were greeted by the receptionist and we explained our situation and asked to see the camper. She wasn't sure how to handle us so she asked two sales associate what to do and asked "Joe" if he could help us. Then another salesman (Mark L.) comes up to hear the conversation Joe then says I can't right now I'm going to be taking my lunch. The second associate walked away. Mark then says so you're not purchasing? (His demeanor was not welcoming at all, no smile or eye contact) We said yes and no we have the check in hand and showed him but wanted to see the camper before it goes to Temecula. We responded "All we asked was to see what we we're purchasing but that's fine if you can't" He replied "If you wanted to see it then your sales rep should have came and met you here so he could show it" Again we look at each other as we were flabbergasted that this is how he responded & how he treats people. He then tells the other receptionist at the sales desk"Kim"to look for someone on the bottom of their roster so they can locate the trailer. Kim wide eyed look just as astonished as us. We had no words we shook our heads and my husband and I instantly knew we wanted nothing to do with "Camping World" I responded to "Kim" Thank you but that won't be necessary we're leaving & taking our business elsewhere." Mark continued to go on about his pay structure and how he's losing but we were done with the situation. I responded with "It's fine there is no need for this we'll drive to Temecula" and thanked Kim and walked out. We did just that.... Drove to Temecula showed the finance lady and told the sales manager we had the check and explained what had happened and can't condone that type of treatment and financially support a company who allows staff to talk to the customers that way and left. Now all of this could have been avoided had Mark or ANY associate just said "Please have a seat while we get an associate to locate the camper" and the 3 associates would have been done with us. They most definitely gave "Camping World" and MENIFEE location a horrible reputation that day and MARK lost/cost the BUSINESS $31k that day. I'll do an update if I hear back from management but I wouldn't hold my breath. I read the following and really wished this was a positive statement. This review is for their dump station. We've been there 4 times to dump and it was only open 1 time. We've learned to call to see if it is open before driving there now. They said someone ran over the station and it needs to be fixed. We were here over a month ago and they said the same thing. Is it really being fixed? How long does that take. Not a reliable place to dump. We bought their membership because dumping is free if you've got it but I feel like it's not worth it if the dump station is always closed. Not a happy camper. Drove from Simi valley to check there commercials that they have RVs for $98 to $175 a month. I went during the week and all the trailers were locked,so you couldn't see them and they didn't have prices on them and nobody was there to assist. What ? Looks like bad business to me. Looks like a scam to me. I shopped at Giant RV in 2013 got a 2013 beautiful forest river 18 foot trailer that was completely loaded for $16,500 . Now they are double that. That price , what a joke. Camping World shopping is always a fun adventure for me. My husband and I purchased a new trailer and I was excited to find some fun, innovative items with which to decorate the inside. CW carries a lot of handy gadgets and decorative pieces, but it also had quite a few empty shelves, unfortunately. From a mechanical perspective, we needed to purchase a hitch and backup camera and they had some great sales for those items (if you're a Good Sam Club member.) Went here to get some parts for my submarine, had plans to take the family down to see the titanic this summer. The things I got seemed kind of cheap and Janky but I figured they would be fine. Decided to test my submarine out with some friends, I wanted the quality of the submarine to be high so I charge them a quarter million dollars apiece to go down and see some old shipwreck a few miles deep. Bought a brand new Coleman trailer in 2017 with extended warranty. Right on time at the 7 year mark the trailer is falling apart and Camping World will not honor the warranty. Our 5th wheel has been in the service department for 5 months. Even with the pandemic, it should not take 5 months, all summer, to replace 3 mini blinds, repair the awning, and wax it.
