What a waste of time! We walked in ready to spend $100K today but the staff there couldn't even bother with us. They want all your personal info so they can market but no one had the time to help us. We had to walk around on our own with our money in our pocket but nobody even approached. Glad they don't need sales of any kind. NEVER going back there again. They bought my RV then never paid for it! I sold them an RV on 4/4/25 and I got a call from my bank collection department that my payment was late. I informed them it had been sold weeks ago and reached out to Camping World. I was ghosted for a week and finally got a hold of someone. The manager Crystal said she was working on it - it was their fault but showed no interest in getting this dones and told me if I was unhappy 'come pick up your RV' which would be great if I had not given up the parking spot and insurance or knew WHERE IT WAS. Then it gets great, I go on X and contact the CEO - he tells me he will ensure it is taken care of - guess what it has been 4 days since and there STILL IS NO CHECK TO MY BANK. Do not go here, or use this company! We bought a brand new camper for our daughter 14 months ago. $34,000. She needed to get out of an abusive relationship fast. We contacted Camping World and they offered 2 options to take the camper from us. Offered $16,800 cash or they put it on consignment for 60 days and sell it for us for $21,100. The guy on the phone said that our model would sell fast as it was a 2 bedroom, 2 bath and a desirable floor plan! They advised we had to take the camper to them for the inspection. I paid $250 and had it taken there. After there inspection, they told us the roof needed resealing - labor $190/hr and $90 for sealant - total $900! They said there was a hole in the front storage compartment. Long story short - they went from $16,800 cash to $14,800 cash after all the repairs they suggested! The girl at Camping World said it would be hard to sell, as there are so many like it. So which is it? Quick to sell or hard to sell. They said if they couldn't sell it in 60 days we'd have to move it again. It's BS! It was brand new! Immaculate. This was a bait and switch. Offer you a high price, get the camper there, offer you a much lower price listing ridiculous repairs, and you're stuck with either taking that offer or paying to move it again, and where too? We live 3 hours away. Disgusting! and how is labor $190/hr to use a calking gun for roof sealant? I could do it myself! They're not master mechanics or dentists! Beware! If you deal with these people, make sure your camper is in 100% working order, take photos! and watch them inspect it if you can! They lied to me more than five times during purchase process. They charged me North Carolina sales tax, when they were supposed to charge me South Carolina sales tax (A sales tax agreement between SC / NC.) They made mistakes, then they wanted me to think that they were my heroes for correcting them. In South Carolina, when we make mistakes, we know it's a duty to correct them. That did not happen at Camping World in Concord. They wanted me to be beholding to them because they correct those mistakes. They promised to have hitch installed on 7-22-2025. That was a lie. I spent 7.5 hours at location, and I was forced to leave without my camper. It was like pulling teeth to get them to return a deposit for holding camper. I asked staff members questions; they walked away without stopping to answer them. I wish someone had warned me before I did business with Camping World in Concord. Don't make the mistake that I made. Find another camper dealer or it might well be a mistake, you will come to regret. I know I do. read more

I am onthe road and I have major awning issues so that I can't close my awning (my fault) I go in to try to solve my problem. I need new awning arms. Drake the service writer seemed to want to help me at first, but after 2 days of trying to figure out which arms I need taking measurements and asking if we can call the manufacturer to make sure that we get the proper parts. (He said that they don't keep the records at the manufacturer) We email back and forth and after 4 UNANSWERED calls and voice messages I decide to go in and see what is happening. I walk in and see Drake and I asked him if his phone was broken, he rudely told me to go talk to the guy at the end of the counter and then ran to the back and hid. After I left I called the manufacturer and they gave me the parts number I needed off of my vin. In December 0f '23 I bought a brand new 18' Coleman Trailer at Camping World of Statesville NC. With a 400W solar, 2000Watt inverter and multiple batteries package. (Big, expensive stuff) Doing the obligatory post-purchase walk-through, the person doing it with me, by his own admission told me he knew nothing about the trailer, didn't even know where the coax connector in the ceiling went to. (What?!) The walk-through only exposed that the electric tongue jack was faulty. So I waited until they changed it out and finally drove away. Immediately I realized the trailer brakes did not work, taking it back they "adjusted" them, and, seeing it made no difference, my salesman, Cody, told me they would adjust (fix) themselves after driving. I was driving home to Florida, and after 500plus miles, yep, the brakes still did NOT work. (so, WHO checked out this trailer before selling it?) So, I arrive back home in Florida, with a very complex solar/inverter system, that I know NOTHING about or its function, knowing absolutely nothing about the trailer, and pulling a trailer without any brakes. (nightmare?) So I contact Marcus' office, you know, the CEO of Camping World that's "Not happy unless YOU are happy" There I'm told to take it to Camping World of Fort Pierce, Florida for repair, where the current nightmare just increases 10 fold!! (THAT review forthcoming) PS. The extensive wiring that was done for the solar, etc. was a complex, confusing, spiderweb of wiring that was dangerously hanging below the trailer just 6 inches from the ground. read more

Ok so I bought a used RV there last fall. I asked & received a gooseneck hitch rather than the slide. Now I live in VA, and everything has to be inspected. Well guess what. Your welder is an idiot, or you know this, & didn't CARE that they put me & anyone behind me in danger. That hitch was only spot welded on, already rusting just from sitting in the driveway, and could have broken off while driving. Very unsafe. I now am PAYING someone to weld it correctly, which I ALREADY PAID YOU TO DO. What makes you think you can send someone down the road like that?? I'll tell you. No moral compass whatsoever. Completely wasted our time and asked us to come back only for the dipshit sales manager to say they could not make a deal. Knowing good and well they would take the trade, clean it and re- sell it and make thousands on our camper. But Instead refused it because they wanted US to write them a check for the fees. I would just like a refund for the Onan generator service and no replacement for the very dirty engine air filter I requested that's all. I do not want anything for free; however, when I pay for a service I expect it to be performed. The pics are more than a thousand words. I hadn't touched anything but when I touchdown to key west I opened my door and this is exactly what I found. Luckily the filter cover screw hadn't fallen to the road. I just want reimbursed for the cost of that specific service nothing more and just don't want to waste my entire day there again for a service that was promised that it would only take an hour or two. read more

I know MUCH more about good people than I know about camping. Recently, I purchased a 35 ft travel trailer from a 3rd party. Shortly thereafter, my employee's child was diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive brain cancer and was immediately transferred to St. Judes Hospital, Memphis TN. Although I had only pulled this camper on one very short (20 mile) trip and had absolutely no background in transportation, I was suddenly faced with the very daunting prospect of a 600+ mile journey so the family could use my camper as temporary housing while their child / grandchild received emergency treatment at St. Judes. As I shared my dilemma with "Scottie" and made him aware of the reason for my journey he immediately dropped what he was doing and joined me on the hot asphalt to begin a full inspection of my camper. Although I did not purchase the unit from Camping World this wonderful gentleman took time to inspect and correct my Blue Ox hitch, properly inflate the tires, repair a turn signal and review a few safety procedures prior to my long trip. To say that I was grateful for the professional advice was an understatement. Without his help it would have been a miracle if I made it safely, which I did. Regretfully, I do not know Scottie's last name however I am deeply indebted to his compassion for his fellow man. The camper remains in the Agribusiness International Campground, Memphis TN to this date and is used by family of the child on a regular basis. A miracle of safe travel was granted. Store is nice. Lots of inventory at high prices. No signage from the main road at Moreland so we missed the turn and had to double back. No signage at entrances to tell you where things are. Stopped to shop and use dump station which was located across street from the showroom. Had to find someone to move a camper which they did quickly. But not enough room for class A with toad. So I had to unhook. Finally got to dump station but the hydrant for fresh water wasn't working. (BTW It's 100 degrees today) so no way to flush tanks or add water back to black tank or wash hands So even though the folks were nice, it was a very inconvenient place to dump. Now I'm too hot and sweaty and grumpy to shop....haven't had good luck with CW. read more

Sales coordinator was estatic to have the same After a month received an offer which was accepted and told delivered only to have the sale.mysteriously canceled. Upon attempting to retrieve my unit was told I owed 3,000.oo for setup and repairs. I signed a contract which said " do not make any repairs without my permission." made an agreement to pay half the bill. While on site they broke mirrors in bedroom and left the unit without charge an now needed batteries and converter. They agreed to cover our paid for damage to the mirrors and after a month of promise they probably ran out of cash. Beware of the Bandits. watch out for george!! read more

They told me they were going to fill out the checklist that they were supposed to do the first time but their sales manager said they were "just too lazy to do" and then told me that the $300 checklist is now an over $800 bill! Granted I did have them replace a light and change the filters in my air conditioner and replace a battery, but expecting me to pay over $140/hour to a service dept that doesn't provide good service?? I think not... come on Marcus Lemonis - you have a show on TV where you tell people how to run their businesses better and you run yours this way?? RUN FAR AWAY!!!! Avoid this Camping World location at all costs. I purchased a brand new 2018 CLASS C RV in April of 2018 and my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. The issues began on the day of pick up (May 3rd) when one of the employees lost the keys to the RV and another somehow took the large shoreline electric cord. The issue of the missing electrical cord was not discovered until a few days later when I was prepping for the first trip out. The missing cord would be the ONLY issue that was resolved quickly and professionally. A few days later, the overhead lights and the radio on the RV stopped working. I was instructed by the service department to bring the RV back to Camping World. After an hour drive and three hours of waiting around, the solution was one that could have been explained over the phone. At this point I truly wasn't upset with Camping World and brushed off these events as just little hiccups, little did I know things would only get worse from here. On the day of pick up I noted few minor issues that were recorded on the "we owe you" form and photos were taken by our salesman, Theron. Issues such as a 2" gap between the kitchen counter top where the sink faucet comes through. Supposedly Theron would begin the process of filing the necessary claims with the manufacturer, passing the information along to the service department so that parts could be ordered and the repairs completed as soon as we returned from vacation. The end of my vacation fell on my 20th day of ownership (May 23rd). As I was driving home the kitchen wall panel began to bow out from the wall itself to the point where an adult male could fit their entire arm in the now gaping space. Camping World was immediately contacted and I was told to bring the RV into CW as the repairs would be covered without question because, according to Theron, we had 90 days to have any issues covered by Camping World. There was also an associate grilling outside and giving away free food. Left my camper with them for TWO weeks for an appraisal. The person (Sabrina) I was dealing with stopped communication with me entirely, and after speaking with two more "managers", one of whom was Jonathan, who also failed to help or even call me back, I ended up having to just go pick up my camper with NO help or even solution to my problem.
