I love Campioni. Every time I have visited I'm never let down. Management and owners are on top of everything! Their bar drink are always perfect, and the food is always delicious. I love their Alfredo sauce it's so rich and silky. I usually have them add spinach and mushrooms so I don't feel like I'm eating a child's meal with all of their amazing selections that's my go to. The Frenchtini was so refreshing and recommend that for a nice summer cocktail. All of their salads are good so you cannot go wrong, and if you're craving some smooth mozzarella well dive into an order of cheese sticks. With the garlic tomato sauce completing them perfectly. All of there dishes are prepared wonderfully and prices are very fair for a casual Italian restaurant. read more

Campioni has always been a favorite of mine both for the exceptional food as well as their great service; however, Covid-19 has propelled them to an all-new level of excellence. Since the start of the pandemic, they have followed every rule to help to protect their customers including masks, gloves, hand sanitizers and social distancing. There is no restaurant I feel safer to enter than this. At night the restaurant, more like a house, and the parking lot were little hard to find, for me at least. The design of the dining hall is rustic and for some reason that night, it was mostly elderly customers, which made me wonder if I came to the right place. The waitress was attentive and the dishes were delicious! Paper-wrapped fish filet was spot on, not overcooked because there are juice and sauce sealed inside the paper. Chicken Romano and the Salmon dish were our choices tonight. Food was proper temperature and great presentation. The sauces on both dishes lacked the depth of flavor that we have been use too. But the meal was still good. My wife really enjoyed the house salad. I asked for extra virgin olive oil for our bread and it was very thin and lacked real flavor. The server put 1/4 - 1/2 cup in the plate which I felt was super excessive. If you want to beat the crowds and minimize wait arrive before 6 pm on a Friday night. read more

I have been to Campioni about 6 times over the last two years. The food is very good as well as the service. The sautéed snapper is delicious as is the lasagne and the chicken Pamela. The side salads are extremely good. Freshly prepared with homemade dressings. They do not take reservations for small parties so you might have to wait depending on time and day. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice, especially the tables with a view of the courtyard. read more

Dinner time once again on my business trip out to Houston and this place was calling via Yelp when I developed a jones for Italian food. Looks like someone's house from the outside but it certainly has an inviting appearance. You walk in and you are overwhelmed with a quaintness that's hard to define except that it is indeed a nice atmosphere. Now to the important stuff...the food. Coworker and I split the 6-pc shrimp asiago app and it was solid, especially that asiago cream sauce. Make sure you take some of their house bread and sop that stuff up! Coworker ordered the veal parm and I trust him when he says it was great. I ordered the veal marvella and that was really good. Both entrees came with a house salad (really fresh tasting served with a mean balsamic vinaigrette) and a side of ziti marinara. That marinara was delicious - simple yet vibrant with tangy tomatoes and garlic. It was so good, I poured the remaining sauce all over my veal and destroyed the rest of my meal with fervor. Nice wine selection and a full bar. Service was great and our waitress was super nice. Even the owner was walking around checking on customers. You can tell he takes pride in his restaurant. We'll be back in Houston several more times and we will be including this in our rotation of dining spots. read more

I really like this place. I have been going for years. Tonight they blew it. It wasn't even busy and I was getting takeout, waited for 15 minutes over the expected time to be ready and when I got home the food was cold and the salad was hot. Big miss. I hope this doesn't continue. read more

Excellent Italian restaurant! The Chicken Manicotti is a homerun! The spaghetti and meat sauce is gigantic and delicious. Meatballs are perfection! Salad with homemade dressing is divine. Bread, just eat it, I can not even describe its flavor it is so good. Nice atmosphere. Owner comes around to check on you. I would upgrade the bar area if I owned this place so it had more tvs and make it more inviting. Decent wine selection, but the house wine needs changing. Oh we have tried the Lasagne here before and it is some of the best I have ever had. Large portions too! Great gem in the Champions area. They even provide parking for golf carts!!! read more

Had another absolutely wonderful meal tonight. I don't usually give five stars even to the best of restaurants, but everything was just perfect. The service was excellent, my waitress was very friendly. Food came out hot... I got the shrimp Asiago appetizer, grilled instead of breaded, as I don't care for breaded food. Was absolutely delicious and came with wonderful hot bread. And for the price, I got eight large, good quality, perfectly cooked shrimp, moist and meaty, delicious sauce. One of the best shrimp appetizers I've ever had. The snapper with crabmeat in parchment paper was incredible, with fennel, spinach...Unbelievably flavorful. Total disappointment! Called in an order which I was told would be ready in 20 minutes, showed up on time and was advised they had no order for me, the take out tragedy sitting at the desk behind the reception girl said she had no record of my order, proceeded to dig through her trash can to find the order, she ran to the order station and proceeded to enter the order before coming back and saying the order was misplaced! Total joke! Lesson learned! Another local Jurassic Park or Wrinkle Room clientele business keeping it afloat! Good luck! read more

First, it's imperative that people know that the service here is exceptional. People are friendly and they mean it. But that is the only highlight of this restaurant. The one-star review reflects the quality of the food. PASS ON THIS RESTAURANT. There are several better options for Italian food close by (and those aren't even that good, but they're all better than this place.) We went here on a whim bc of the high yelp ratings. The food is among the worst restaurant food I've ever had. We ordered the chicken pamela and the chicken romano. The chicken pamela was bland, despite being drenched in butter. The chicken romano was dry. Both were overcooked. The house salad is inferior to grocery store pre-made salads. The pasta taste is equivalent to boxed pasta with a jar marinara sauce, not worth eating. The dessert was fine. Overall, this was a very bad restaurant, if you care about taste and quality presentation. You can get a better, more appetizing italian meal from Olive Garden, Piada, or Carrabbas, all of which are very close by. Anywhere would be better food than here. I've had frozen italian food that taste better. The clientele is mostly older people. I think the high reviews reflect nostalgia or an affinity for the pleasant staff. It does not reflect the food. Very nice environment, friendly staff and delicious food! My fiance and I stopped by to check out the menu before deciding to host our rehearsal dinner there. When we had mentioned why we were there, the waitress was more than happy to help and very knowledgeable about which menu items were typically on the private event menus. We tried the spaghetti with meat sauce (she told me it was not in the event menu but I just wanted to try it), penne alla Campioni, and chicken romano (THE BEST!). The food overall was very good. The spaghetti with meat sauce was pretty good, both my fiance and I liked it. The penne alla Campioni, unfortunately tasted very cheesy/greasy. We decided we did not want this menu item for the rehearsal dinner. The best was chicken romano! At first we weren't sure what it was but it just tasted so delicious! Then when we asked the waitress, we were told it was the lemon butter. The sauce complemented the chicken so well! Excellent food, really good service, and we had excellent seating near the windows with an excellent forest view. We started with the handmade bread and butter, it was so yummy. I had the chicken breast, topped with Gorgonzola cheese, walnuts, walnut butter and green apples. A side of pasta marinera, green beans, Ceaser salad and garlic bread. AND, of course VINO. I love this restaurant. We came out for lunch for my best friends birthay. The food, my snapper, the fettuccine was amazing as usual. However the service was the ABSOLUTE WORST that I have ever encountered. Her name was DANELLE and she rolled her eyes at us numerous times. I am a professional chef, the birthday girl is bartender and my friend a server. When I put in my order and tried to put in a to go order she literally cut me off and told me she was going to put in our order first and then do the go later. While I appreciate her wanting to get our food out fast, you should never cut off a customer, especially in that yone of voice She didn't offer even a birthday dessert or wish my friend a happy birthday. A hidden gem in the Champions area. I fell in love with this place at its former location back in the 90's. Now, Campioni's has settled in their home at the former location of County Line. I love the view from the windows facing the rear. The food is consistently delicious. I love their Caesar Salad, sausage pizza, wine, and more! This is a family favorite - my mother & my daughters always feel like this place is our special place when we go to treat ourselves to Campioni's.
