Won't be returning. Wilted brown lettuce on our salad. Crust tasted like it was frozen whether it was or not. Fire ants all over patio and I just loved the patio view...valet parked all the 4x4's next to seating area on walkway to block any potential view. Stopped in for lunch. Seating area inside was very small and very cluttered. I ordered a pizza with everything on it. It was wonderful. The best pizza I've had at a Campisi's outside of the original location on Mockingbird. You're going to pay a premium price but this pizza was worth every penny. When cooked right, there's nothing better than a Campisi's pizza. I expected to take leftovers home with me but I ate every bite. Kudos to the kitchen here. I will definitely be back. read more

Hand's down best pizza in the metroplex! Grew up on Campisi's at The Egyptian on Mockingbird. Their Ray Hubbard location is just as great!

They have good pizza that is as close to authentic as you can get. I love the crust and the toppings are always fresh.

My husband and I tried Campisi's with some friends of ours a week or so ago. My husband and one of the people we were with had been to other Campisi's locations and said it was great, so we were excited to try it. We walk in and none of the tables had been wiped down, but one of the girls working there kindly wiped it down for me when I asked. First bad sign. Second, they only have a portion of their main location's menu here, so my husband couldn't order what he wanted. Oh well, we all ordered chicken fettuccine and salads. Half of our salads came out, and then when we inquired about the others they said it would come out with our food. . . Interesting. So 30 minutes goes by, and we notice the people who ordered in line before us are JUST now getting their food, and we watch them take two bites (of the chicken fettuccini we had ordered as well) and walk out. Second bad sign. We wait another 10 minutes, and decide to ask about how much longer it would be, and they said at least another 20 minutes. The management was very nice and refunded our meal when we asked. I have never walked out without eating at a restaurant before, but the wait was just too long. We walked to another restaurant and ordered and were served food within 20 minutes and that restaurant was packed. read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE - WALKED OUT I am not a resident of the area. I was visiting Rockwall alone from out of town on a business trip. It was my birthday, and I decided to watch a movie at a nearby theater to celebrate. I arrived at the theater an hour early and wanted to have my birthday dinner before the movie started. I chose to eat at Campisi's, a pizza joint next door to the theater. Big mistake. The manager (a man by the name of Sean Langstraat) was rude from the get-go. I was standing at the counter to review their menu, and nearly every 5 seconds he impatiently asked me, "Are you ready to order yet? ... Are you ready to order yet? ... Are you ready to order?" Despite the fact it was obvious that I was not ready. I had never eaten there before and I wanted to know what they served, which is why I was studying the menu. There was no need to badger or rush me. It was not as if I was holding up a line of customers. It was late at night, and I was the only customer at the counter. I finally asked him to please give me a minute because I was still reviewing the menu. Everything went downhill from there. He backed up and just glared at me belligerently as if I had done something wrong. Then he walked back to the counter and sarcastically told me to take my time and keep looking. He behaved more like an obnoxious teen boy rather than a grown man. At that point I asked him if he was the manager. He told me yes, and that if I wanted to report him I would have to talk to Campisi's corporate headquarters. I told him that he was acting immaturely and he needed to grow up. I was not about to give him my business after being treated so poorly, so I walked out the door without ordering anything. He sarcastically shouted "Have a really great day!" just as I was leaving. I will never go there again, and I would advise other prospective customers to stay away too - unless, of course, you enjoy being treated like dirt. Was he just having a bad day? Perhaps. But that's no excuse to bully customers. I am a small business owner, and if any of my employees treated my customers the way Sean Langstraat treated me, they would be in deep trouble. His behavior was totally unprofessional and obnoxious. I ended up eating at a different restaurant that night where I was given the polite, friendly service that I SHOULD have received at Campisi's. read more

Visited the Rockwall location for the first time yesterday. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pizza came out in a reasonable amount of time and had plenty of toppings. It was piping hot and the crust was thicker than I remembered. The flavor was very good for a thing crust. I did not care for how soggy the side salad was, but otherwise, a good experience. read more

This is clearly not Campisi's. The menu has about a tenth of the menu items that an actual Campisi's has. The ratings are good because the people of Rockwall are excited to see something besides Whataburger. I didn't want pizza or a salad, which is about all they have, so I headed to Whataburger. This place is a complete swindle payed $4 for a salad and got a bowl of dressing. They don't even give you silverware or napkins, waitress said if you need anything it's all right here. Called and spoke to a young woman on the phone and then after waiting for over an hour for a single pizza it arrived cold and the pizza wasnt even made correctly. Spoke to the female manager too. Yeah, she was super rude and unhelpful. Their food is obviously made with good ingredients but like the service is terrible and just straight up unprofessional. Just save yourself some time and money and order Dominos. It'll arrive faster and unlike campisis they don't sent out cold pizzas on a regular basis. If my oldest daughter wasnt so obsessed with the shape of their pizza then I wouldn't have any reason to order this slop once a week. Great pizza, but consistently bad delivery service. My order has taken almost 2 hours and they don't compensate at all for their mistake.

I've eaten here 2x a week for almost two years. I always order the lunch special--identical every single time. Unfortunately the manager was too good to take my order, so she passed the phone off to someone else who had no clue how to even input the order. Funny that I know that because he told me he was new, fair enough, I get it. I placed the EXACT same order I've been ordering for two years & suddenly now the manager tells the guy "you can't do that." Ok...so suddenly after two years I can't order what I've always ordered? My daughter and I took a Cavalier Dog Show Judge to dinner here upon her arrival from the North East. We chose Campisi's because the guest wished to eat Italian food and her hotel was near Rockwall. We thought that this would be a great "Dallas" tradition to show her. She and I ordered the grilled chicken salad. It was the worst salad we had ever tried. The lettuce was not fit to eat, it had reached the slimy stage. There was no flavor to it either. Our guest, just left her salad. Since we had just met, neither of us wanted to send the food back or make a scene. To top it off, I needed to use the Ladies room prior to driving clear across town. There was no toilet paper and the toilet would not flush. You talk about a poorly operated restaurant, this is it! I've been a lifelong fan of the Campisi pizza and tonight I took my boys to dinner at the Rockwall location. I'm traveling and am booked at the Hilton on the lake in Rockwall. Okay, there are worse places to stay. So I'm looking for something for dinner, it's the Tuesday after labor day and I'm still kinda stuffed from all the BBQ from Labor Day, I check Yelp reviews and go try Campisi's. I walk in and the place is deserted. Zipo, no one in the place. And I'm wondering...do I stay? To late, Steve already says hello. So, I plop myself at the bar, order an Italian beer (first homerun!) and say to Steve, "so, I'm hungry, what's for dinner?" and he says, "nothing but our famous pizza". "Lay it on me". Oh-my-god is this thing good. First it's in a 6x10 inch oval plate so it's just enough for one. Second, you wouldn't want to share. The meats, the spices, the fresh veggies, the super thin crust, all make this the best Pizza in the world. Unless of course you were in Sicily, but you're not, you're in Texas for Pete's sake. Was staying at the Hilton next door on business. Walked over to this place not knowing what to expect. It's a smaller place that has some indoor and outdoor seating. Some nice HDTV's to watch sports. I ordered the individual pizza. It was very good. One note: the Italian sausage has a lot of fennel seed. I like it so I was good with it but if you don't like fennel order another meat. Tonight was my first time to place a delivery order. The online ordering system was easy to use. I ordered a medium Meat Supreme with extra sauce and cheese. It was delivered in half the time that was promised. Big plus fast delivery and a cute delivery guy too! OMG te pizza is great. It was hot, the cheese was melted and stringy like it should be. This was my first time at the Rockwall location. I usually go to the one on Mockingbird. I'm so glad my family and I decided to take a chance and try out this location for Sunday lunch. As soon as we walked in the door, we were greeted by Sean. At this location, you walk in to place your order, find seating inside or outside, and when your order is ready it is brought to your table. Sean was very helpful with the menu, although this location doesn't have the full Campisi's menu, it had all we normally order. I was afraid the crab claws would not be the same, but WOW it was super delicious! We also ordered the All-the-way pizza, and it was also super delicious! This will now be our family's Campisi's for the following reason: 1) Great, friendly Customer Service by Sean (found out he's the manager: Sean Langstraat); 2) Great location that's closer to my home; 3) Fast service; 4) Tasty food! - Way to go Sean! read more
