Very much a worthwhile place to dine. We've interacted with two different servers, the owner and one of the bartenders - all very personable, fun and friendly. The one thing that isn't always made clear is that this place is actually two prior places smooshed into one. And the menu has two sides which reflect exactly that dichotomy. One is a farm to table sort of thing and the other is very much an Italian (but no traditional red sauce Italian) thing. They're both quite good although overall I prefer the Italian offerings. They claim their vegan "meatballs" are really unique and delicious and you know what? They are! Not sure how they do it but they've nailed both a great texture and flavor. The servings are definitely generous, especially anything with pasta. Their wine list is heavily Italian and the servers know what's what with the offerings if one is unfamiliar with Italian wines (as I pretty much am). I've only tried the olive oil cake among their desserts and it's a treat. A cross between savory and sweet, but leaning to the sweet as befits a dessert item. read more

The best farm-to-table I've ever been to. Campo Enoteca is simply delicious, plain and simple. The process to achieve this? Not so simple. These guys have been serving downtown Manchester for a few years now, and as always it seems I'm late to the party. Campo Enoteca is Farm to table Italian, everything scratch made. From bread and pasta to bases and sauces, it's all homemade and hand crafted. The carbonara is an absolute hit, a hearty bowl of perfectly al dente pasta. Carbonara is known for being rich, and this is no exception. The bread is soft and chewy, on its own great. A dip it in extra virgin, perfection. Did I mention a $10 pasta + salad lunch special? I'm in no way claiming New Hampshire to be some sort of culinary revolutionary, but one thing they do do well is organic and farm to table. It honestly does make a difference in the quality of the product. Oh and there's the whole supporting your local farmers thing...but who am I kidding? We all had different entrees from lasagna to seafood to chicken! All delicious. And the drinks were good too. Went to Campo with my mom and aunt last night to celebrate a belated mother's day. Newly re-opened, it lives up to its previous excellent standards. The feta bites and falafel & hummus were great starters. The vegan crispy broccoli pizza was ah-mazing, even to this non-vegetarian! The polpetti was just the right creaminess and spice. The Moroccan lamb ragu was well balanced, with perfectly cooked saffron rice and a spiced (not spicy) tangy and sweet stewed lamb. Along with the excellent meal, we had amazing service. Our waitress was lovely and attentive, and the manager went above and beyond. We were heading to another activity in downtown Manchester, and forgot my mother's cane. The manager, who knew where we were headed, took the time at the end of her shift to find us and return the cane! Campo (and their sister restaurant The Republic) has long been a favorite, After our special night and the kindness we were shown, we'll be back again and again. read more

So we were driving back from Vermont going down 93 through Manchester and gave this place to try... The butternut raviolis were the best we ever had. I also want to do a shout out for the restaurant itself although we took take out I would have loved to been able to sit by the bar and enjoy a drink... maybe next time after this covid is over. The staff was awesome ...the food ordered online and ready exactly when they said it would be ...in and out with a take out order to die for. Two pasta dishes, both just awesome...we will hit this place again as we drive last Manchester...a mile off of evert turnpike ...easy off ..park and back on. Sadly this place was Meh at best. My husband and I ate here years ago and remembered it being delicious but I think it has changed owners since then. They started us off with bread which was delicious and then we got the aranchini for an appetizer which was also really good. Crispy outside with a creamy sauce so with that we had pretty high hopes for our main course which sadly did not come close. My husband got polpetti with meatballs and I got tagatelli pesto with chicken. He thought his tasted not fresh, like it had been sitting around. It was dry and underwhelming. Mine looked good but sadly had zero flavor and the chicken was shredded and mixed in which I thought was strange bc it just made it dry. Campo is easily one of my favorite date places for me and my wife. I love the drinks. The staff is always on point with both attitude and recommendations. The service is quick, the calamari dish is absolutely the best, to die for... Husband and I wandered in just after 8:30 tonight, a Friday for some pasta and we were not let down. Our server recommended a fish cake appetizer special, so we obliged, and it was well worth it. For dinner the husbanhad carbonara, and it was not an Americanized version - it was the kind I grew up eating. Egg rolled in, not dripping in cream, fresh pepper. Outstanding. 1. YOU MUST get the Roman salad (Caesar) Sorry I had to start with that because it was the best Caesar salad I have had in long while. (The best was at cafe Michele in Las Vegas but that's a different story) The place is small but mighty, very good wine selection, intriguing specials and very friendly staff. I was so excited to see that Campo was purchased by a new owner. First couple of times there were great! One evening, I went out with a friend who is in a wheelchair. Toward the end of our meal, another waitress told us that we were going to have to LEAVE. The wheelchair was in the way of a large group coming in. Hmmm...this restaurant does a lot of things well. I really like that they make all their pastas and bread in-house, and that it's a farm-to-table establishment. Came here with three friends on a Sunday evening and ordered a bunch of appetizers and each also had an entree. Positives: - Burrata special: Was good, but I've had better. I think sprinkling a bit of salt on the burrata would help bring out the creaminess of the cheese a bit better. - Cauliflower appetizer: Definitely recommend ordering this as it was perfectly prepared. - Fried calamari: Really good breading and perfectly fried; I'd recommend asking for a lemon wedge to brighten up the flavors a bit. - Pastas: I ordered the carbonara and felt it lacked something--I'm not sure what specifically. The pasta was a tad overcooked for my liking. My friends all enjoyed their pasta though (two ordered the meatball pasta and one order the pesto). - Cannolis were freshly filled to order. - Service was overall pretty good. Negatives: - As I wrote above, something was missing in the carbonara, it was on the bland side. I did add some salt in the leftovers the next day, and that helped a bit. - My friend and I had ordered a glass of wine. Our server brought us each a little carafe that held two glasses of wine. I didn't think anything of it as I thought that's how they portioned one glass. It was only when I saw the bill that I realized we got charged for the quartino amount. Not really happy about that as it was double the price, but whatever. I strongly believe our server should've clarified that before pouring. Despite the negatives, I do recommend trying this place! I was surprised that after an hour and a half with my friend I was asked to give up my table for another party and felt like I should leave. After spending over$100 I was never offered another table or any compensation (dessert?!) for going away. The owners or republic should be so saddened!! Let me preface by stating I did order take out for six. Started with me trying to order two pizzas and told there was only enough dough for one. Does that mean it is frozen, and they have no supplies? Pizza dough takes Look at my pictures, and truly tell me if you are proud to call this your establishment. The portions were horrific, the food was beyond mediocre and THEY WERE COMPLETELY EMPTY at lunch when I picked this up. I will not go back, EVER not even under duress. Campo Enoteca opened recently in Downtown Manchester next door to Ate Doors Down. This wine bar serves up contemporary Roman cuisine in a very nice modern urban setting. The food offerings include fresh made pasta dishes (half & full sizes/$9-$20), artisanal breads, crostini (choose 3 for $12), salads ($6-$10), appetizers ($7-$15), dinners (roast pressed half chicken, bracciole, veg ravioli, mussels & Maine cannellini/$16-$23) and an assortment of Italian charcuterie & cheese and a good selection of Italian wines (whites, reds, tap wines), bubbles, beer (tap & bottles), and cocktails. Local ingredients are used in the dishes. My friend and I had dinner here recently. The place was hopping around 8PM on a Thursday night and we were greeted and seated by the hostess. Our friendly server brought over a big glass bottle of cold water and w basket of chewy ciabatta bread with EVOO for dipping. Started out with Polenta Frites ($8) with Rosa Sauce, which were crisp on the outside and very soft inside and Crostinis ($12 for 3) (1) Gorgonzola, figs, balsamic reduction, (2) White bean, grilled radicchio, (3) Grilled mushroom, duxelle, herb ricotta). For dinner, I had the Linguine Aglio e Olio ($11 full) was very filling, which was soft, dense, very rich and garlicky. For dessert, the homemade Olive Oil Cake ($6) was not too sweet, which had a soft yellow texture. Overall, we had a very enjoyable dinner, which was fresh and tasty. The service here was very attentive, efficient, informative, and professional. We were given refills on water a couple times, refilling up the glass bottle on our table.
