Nice east end Henrico spot. Peruvian style chicken and sides. I had 1/4 chicken with plantains, red skinned potatoes and pinto beans. Everything was seasoned perfectly. They are similar to Chicken Fiesta but many may see this place more home style. Nice selection to choose from. I think Chicken Fiesta still has them by a slight edge but because the sides are WAY better it brings the two restaurants even in my book. Best plantains I ever had. They cook them like candies yams. Don't get side tracked by the location in a strip mall. The food is excellent. We were visiting the area and I like to try local food instead of chains. The reviews were pretty good so we finally ventured off. It is not fancy but neat and clean. My friend and I sat at a table and placed our order. The pictures hopefully do it justice- we could have easily split a plate. The pork chops were amazing. I had the cilantro chicken, fried rice, black beans, and fried plantains- amazing! I visited this place on a whim. I'd never heard of them until I went to pick a pizza from Chanellos. My initial thought was this place reminds me of Chicken Fiesta. But boy oh boy this place was sooooo much better. Their rice isn't dry like Chicken fiesta they have cilantro rice. I'm getting a little too excited. Let me start from the beginning. There were so many choices. I didn't know where to begin. So I settled with a half chicken with cilantro rice with roasted red potatoes. Also with two chicken empanadas. They let sample the rice and their fried plantains. The chicken is bursting with flavor! Definitely better than chicken fiesta. (sorry not sorry lol ). Their cilantro rice is very moist and flavorful. Their chicken empanadas are cooked to order so they were fresh as well. Their customer service was awesome. They were extremely patient with me in completing my order. Their tres leche cake! I give them three thumbs up. Would I return? Absolutely! Value for price? Spectacular! Customer service! Seriously good food! Seriously...I don't take time write it unless I mean it! This place knows "flavor town" like no other. It's close to the airport and White Oak Village. I have ordered the Cilantro chicken and the Pollo Ever. Family ordered lamb chops (he has gone back 3 times now just for the lamb chops). Order a side of Pico, and the yellow sauce was our favorite. THIS PLACE IS AWESOME. I've been here about 5-6 times since moving to the area and everything has been great so far. Quick service and the food always seems fresh. My go to meal is either the 1/4 chicken, or sometimes 1/2 chicken, plate. Come with two sides. I usually get the green beans for both, but the rice is awesome and the roasted potatoes have become my favorite side side item since I tried them on my last visit. Staff is very quick and attentive. I travel all over the country on business and everywhere I go, I look for Peruvian restaurants because I'm a sucker for the rotisserie chicken (Pollo a la brasa) and fried rice. I've had Peruvian food from Newark to Baltimore to Los Angeles and everywhere in between. This is the BEST Peruvian chicken I have ever had. This is a fast casual place where you order at the counter. You can see the chicken cooking and the side items are in a steam table. I like these places because I can get fried rice as a side instead of paying $12-$14 for a whole order of it. I had a quarter white chicken, fried rice covered in pinto beans (trust me, it's good) and fried plantains (maduros). They have both yellow and green sauce. Their yellow sauce is a little hotter than what I've had before but it's delicious. The chicken was outstanding. Sometimes rotisserie chicken can be dry but this was very moist and seasoned well. The skin was delicious as well. The plantains were really brown and the edges were caramelized...just like I like them. They also have most of the other standard Peruvian dishes such as Lomo Saltado and empanadas which looked good. I love the chicken so much I'll probably never order anything else. You can bet I'll be stopping here EVERY time I'm in Richmond. read more

I can't remember what I order was called I just know it was chicken thighs, green rice and green beans. The thighs were cooked to perfection! None of that dry "I'm choking" chicken over there! I came here with my family for dinner and everything that they ordered got high reviews. I don't eat meat so I got a large red beans & rice, and a side of fried plantains. The owners were very friendly and helpful with my parents who hadn't tried Peruvian chicken before. They gave him several sauces to try out and stopped by the table to see how we were doing. The restaurant inside is very clean and well kept. Most of my family bought the chicken meals and commented on how moist the chicken was. All food was finished andnthe only thing we took home was a Tres Leche cake slice that the owners gave to my sister because it was her birthday.
