I am part Peruvian and missed all these dishes from when I lived in NoVa, so my husband and I drove 30 mins to this restaurant. Let me tell you!!!!!! This place hit all the marks for me! Everything was amazing! The shrimp with the white sauce is spicy but I love spicy food (just a warning for those that aren't). The only item not shown is their shrimp ceviche, it is definitely overpriced in my opinion ($18) for about 8 shrimps, a sweet potato, and some corn. So I wouldn't get that again... even though it was good but just not worth the price. All other items were fairly priced for the quality and amount of food. My family will be returning! read more

This is amazing, to finally find a delicious peruvian spot in richmond..I brought my family that was visiting to here, we are Peruvian and even though the people in the kitchen werent Peruvian. THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. It is clean, comforting and just so.many amazing options I will start witch the ceviche(cebiche) de pescado. The fish is fresh and did not seem frozen at all. It was amazing. Perfectly seasoned, so delicious. We went crazy for it. The only thing is that the yam seemed sweet so may have been a candied yam but it was still delicious. We tried a bit of the chicken to just try it was rotisserie chicken to percection. So damn good! I can see why everyone would like it. The sauces are amazing really fresh and you can tell they use real aji amarillo. We loved it. The salmon with the anticuchaera sauce is phenomenal. Like I have never tried it before on fish and I was in heaven. I chose some huancaina sauce on it and it paired heavely. Like damn this is a must try it is so delicious. They make amazing huancaina sauce which is a cheese sauce made will yellow hot peppers and they did not disappoint. My boyfriend ate their pasta de huancaina sauce and it was out of this world paired with their lomo saltado. He is a vegetarian so he had it just with veggies but it was amazing they know how to make the sauces. It was so flavorful and made deliciously. Their green beans are amazing the salad is delicious. They give amazing portions. Will be coming here again. The prices are expensive but seriously it's worth it because it's hard to find delicious food around these parts. This place has really fell off. Customer service is terrible. I ordered food, they gave me a number for my order, never called the number and then blamed me for it. All of that and they still got my order WRONG. I have a steak burrito with NO steak. I have a salad with NO dressing AFTER I asked if it was included in the bag. Carne Asada so overcooked it's not even edible. Had to go back for a drink they didn't give me as well. All of the food ordered is very salty. Never again. This Peruvian chicken is the best. Only a few minutes away from the airport, if you're coming into town, this is a must visit. Place your order ahead of time and pick it up to go! That's what I did, and it was ready in less than 15 minutes. I got the cilantro chicken which comes with two sides; I chose the roasted vegetables and green rice. I also got a tres leches and chicha morada. The entree came with two traditional white and green sauces. When I got home, I chowed down and couldn't believe how delicious everything was. The white sauce added some creaminess to the chicken, and the green sauce was perfectly spiced. The vegetables were cooked well, and the rice was tasty too. Adding in the chicha morada and a decent tres leches, this made for a fantastic dinner! I even had some rice and veggies leftover for a snack the next day, and it tasted wonderfully with the green sauce. When I visited, it was a Sunday evening. It was packed, so clearly people know how good this spot is. I am already thinking about when I can visit next. Bottom line: If you want Peruvian chicken, come here! read more

That meat was juicy and tender with crisp skin and they were very generous with the amount of sides. Charcoal grilled to perfection. I had the 1/4 dark platter with fried rice and red potatoes. The chicken was amazing with a great smoky flavor you only get from a real fire over hot coals. The fried rice was excellent, better than expected and not at all oily. I tried the Chicha Morada, a drink made from purple corn and pineapple- it was different and worth trying. My dining companion had the marinated beef hearts on a skewer. The meat is tougher than muscle meat, but it was tasty-for those brave enough to try it. The sides are wonderful, I like the fried rice and potatoes. The potatoes are flavorful and tender. The prices are not bad, for a 1/4 chicken meal with 2 sides is $8.50, and that's for white meat. Located off Laburnum not too far from DMV, there is not a ton of parking but fair. Inside is clean, tables can be a little small as we sat in booths. They offer several different sides but I would like to see more green vegetables besides green beans, there are a lot of starchy sides. Nice little place to visit if your in the area.
