Visited candor coffee for the first time, and I will definitely be back! I ordered a seasonal latte, which I think was a spiced fog latte. It was so yummy! They had a variety of coffees, tea, other cold drinks and pastries. Service was really good, the store seems very clean, and they have restrooms. A lot of people seem to be there to get some work done, meet up with friends, or just grab something to go. They also have free parking in their shared lot. read more

This place went 0 for 2 during my Seattle trip. With such raving reviews, I thought maybe my first visit was a one-off, so I tried again on my last day of my trip. This establishment feels like just a bunch of unknowing, confused employees who provide lots of problems with no solutions. Minimal/no issues with the quality of the coffee/food itself - which is to be noted. Let's recap: First time I went - I asked for a Sakura cherry blossom latte. She said they were out and would have more by the weekend. Cool. Went for a red velvet latte instead. Ordered a sausage sandwich and pesto (no chicken) sandwich as well. Sausage sandwich came out as bacon - pesto sandwich came out with chicken. We didn't want to complain twice - so we just asked for the chicken to be removed from the sandwich. A new sandwich came out, seeeeeeping with pesto. The entire bread was soaked in pesto and oil and inedible. In the nicest way I knew how to, I asked if this was normal? It's pretty inedible and incredibly difficult to eat when oil and pesto are just dripping everywhere. They said "yes" it was normal.... Interesting. They did not offer to make a new sandwich, I had to ask. Even then, it came back out called as "no cheese!" (no context as to what sandwich she was even calling out). It couldn't have possibly been mine since I didn't order no cheese... go figure. It was. She handed me the sandwich like I was a complete nuisance. I was confused and baffled at this experience. The red velvet latte had no red velvet taste, but it was decent espresso/oat milk so 2 stars. The second time - She said the cherry blossom would be back so I ordered online to avoid the wait inside. $9.75 for a coffee - wowzer. Upon getting there, no cherry blossom. BRO. Make it unable to order if it's out, my dude!!! I wasn't going to go through a whole new ordeal with them so I just opted for a refund. She continued to seem confused and I have yet to receive a refund. Like I said - nothing to do with the food/coffee. I actually enjoyed it and would pay for it again. It is what it is - maybe I got 2 one-off days but it's bizarre to me how this place has good reviews due to their extremely confused and disoriented staff, seemingly all at sea or in lala land. read more

The service was lukewarm. all Employees just give half, dead smiles as if they really hated their job. I had the loveliest morning at this charming cafe! I met with with a friend, and we enjoyed sipping on a deliciously creamy Marsala Chai latte (my first one ever 10/10). The latte was perfectly made, and I loved how it was served piping hot--just the way I LOVE it! The venue itself had a lovely vibe rustic yet modern, with an intimate, open atmosphere that made it feel like a cozy oasis. The space was clean and inviting, and even the bathroom was spotless, which I really appreciated. The service was quick and attentive, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. Decent coffee, and the young ladies that are always running the place are all very lovely. This place is suuuper popular, even more so since opening sundays and adding more food to their menu (so glad they extended to early opening hours and sundays though!!) You should anticipate waiting in line and then for your coffee for longer than you think, depending on the number of folks working behind the bar. The drinks are good though, and they often have some interesting and tasty housemade "flavors of the month". Lots of tea and matcha options as well if that's your thing. read more

I really like this place. The matcha latte is one of the best around. But only one barista working on a Sunday morning is unfair to her and makes a terrible experience for the customers. Another barista just showed up about 15 minutes after opening but I'm still waiting for a matcha latte 20 minutes after I ordered when there was no drinks ordered in front of me. The barista is trying to make drinks take orders make food in the back. Ok know the barista tells me the espresso maciis not working after I been waiting for 20 minutes. Great coffee shop with a post-modern vibe in the middle of the Kent/Re ton industrial area close to IKEA. They honor the romance of classic coffee shops with Traditional Cappuccinos, Macchiatos, Con Pannas and a simplified Latte selection (5 syrups vs 100's). But as I looked around, I noticed multiple employees recording--whether for vlogs, social media, or whatever else. I didn't come here to be an unwitting extra in someone's content. If you're going to film in a shared space, at least have the courtesy to ask the people around you if they're okay with it. It has been forever ago when i last visited and i am happy i came back! Needed a place to meet my wedding coordinator and this place accomodated. They have multiple tables with outlets and chairs available if you dont need an outlet. You could honestly spend hours here and there will always constantly be at least one available table ready for newcomers. Coffee tasted great. Not too sugary and they always put the effort to make some latte art at the top. Took a while to get my order and took a while for my coffee to be done but totally understandable as this place tends to always be packed in the morning to the early afternoon. It tends to clear out later in the afternoon but it depends on the day. Overall, I will come back here again for studying, if i just need to get work done, or hangout/catchup with people. Wanted to check this place out for a long time and finally got here! Easy to find location right off the freeway with plenty of parking. Tons of seating with boho style decor. Items for sale from local vendors. They had a few seasonal drinks and I got the Nutcracker Latte (1/2 sweet) and a morning glory muffin. When I asked the girl at the register what flavors were in the Nutcracker Latte, she said she didn't know, which I thought was weird... Got it anyway and it was delicious with cranberry flakes on top. Muffin was good but the sugar flakes on top were a little large for my liking. This place is super cute and aesthetic but receiving good customer service is a hit or miss. The first time I went for my visit I got a Masala Chai. It smelled amazing but unfortunately it wasn't really good. It tasted like it needed more steeping. The second and third time I got an iced, oat milk, caramel latte and both times it was good and consistent. I would say that the almond croissant is a must try while there. Okay drinks and average food options, immaculate vibes. In search of a spot to get work done before dance rehearsal on a weekday afternoon, I ended up at Candor thanks to a recommendation by a Seattle foodie (thanks @eatwithbaobae!). I was hooked in by their aesthetics and stayed because of their menu. I did the same thing a few weeks later on performance day, and this is what I've tried so far: *matcha colada ($6): light on matcha flavor and more dominant on coconut syrup flavor. Tbh I make something like this at home, but a little better lol *mama mozz breakfast sandwich ($6.50): actually tasted and looked like something you would get at Starbucks. This place is kinda a hidden gem in Renton. When we first walked in, we were fascinated by their decors and vibe. The baristas greeted us with the biggest smile and when we ask for suggestions of the pastry, she was so patient, kind and sweet to us. I got rose matcha and almond pastry, they are so good!
