    Duplin Carolina Red/white sangria

We've been here now twice and were very satisfied both times! The place has nice intimate setting, the staff is very helpful and the food was excellent. They have a nice little craft beer selection for us non-wine drinkers. My wife likes their white sangria. She had the margarita flatbread and she thought it was a little small for the price but she thought it was very good. I had the burger and it was cooked perfectly and was very tasty! The hot peppers and oil are always on point and the little roasted kale sprouts are delicious! We can't wait to go back and enjoy the patio!

This was my third visit here with the last two being under the new owner. As we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly hostess who asked if we had reservations of which we did not. We thought well, we're going to have to wait but this was not the case. She asked how many we had and sat us immediately. Win! We were taken care of by a wonderful young waitress where, although very busy on this Saturday night, we were not disappointed by her level of service. Plus, she was friends with my son in high school so there's that. Now to the menu. That had a pretty good selection of beers on tap and in bottle to include craft beers and of course their wine list was pretty diverse as well. For apps, we chose the calamari which was ginger seasoned and served mixed with banana peppers and a Thai chili sauce. I fond it to be pretty damn tasty and nice touch was that the slices of banana peppers were also breaded liked the calamari itself. Our friends had the peppers in oil which were also damn delicious. For my entrée , I decided on the fish and chips. The fish was blood orange beer battered Cod and perfectly fried. It was accompanied by a creamy Asian slaw and shoestring french fries. All was delicious. My wife decide on the blackened sirloin which was a 6oz. cut from locally sourced Angus served with herb roasted potatoes and seasoned kale sprouts. The steak was perfectly cooked to my wife's preference of medium and was very tender, of course I had a bite. The roasted kale sprouts were new to me and man were they pretty damn tasty as well. This place didn't disappoint and we are looking forward to out next visit. We especially will be going in the summer months as the outdoor seating is very inviting and overlooks what use to be an 18-hole golf course. Great experience and one others should enjoy as well.

Food was overpriced and bland. No flavor at all...my fish was way to overcooked and had not one bit of seasoning inside of it ...the calamari was ok..but had rely on the sauce to hold it together. My girlfriend salad was plentiful...but there were apples and a hair in it also. The staff was really nice though and then scenery was lovely. But the food once again overpriced and no flavor at all....

Red flight with a great friend! A nice way to end the evening!

A fun place with a beautiful outdoor deck that gave us an amazing view of the full moon! Our server was awesome and even though it was close to closing he was attentive and helpful. If you've not experienced Candywood Wine Cellar, you are missing out!

Went there for the first time had made reservations for 4:30 for 10 people! When we got there we had planned to eat outside but weather didn't cooperate! So they sat us inside upstairs . The upstairs wasn't as pleasant as the first floor or as bright but we were all so happy to be out we didn't care. Our waitress was very good . I had a flight of white wines generous pours and each one was very good. I ordered the soft shell crab as an appetizer and was very nice. Then I ordered the salmon over black rice and carrot purée it was excellent. Then we had dessert chocolate cake it was good but very expensive. I've had the same for half the price I won't order dessert again here it's way too expensive t cost almost as much as a hamburger or fish and chips on the menu . Not worth it! But I will go back because the dinners and the atmosphere were great. Service really good! Everyone was very happy with there meals . We all agree dessert way too expensive.

    The blackened cod was perfect!

Service and wait staff are awesome. Food quality not so good. Seems to be a disconnect within.

They proudly display their well earned awards and the lady who helped my mother and I was very knowledgable. I loved how they clearly had a sweet scale and weren't either pretentious nor poetic in their descriptions which gave a very clear expectation of the tasting profile. I ended up buying a bottle of their Forte Venango which was a fabulous port. I found it smooth, sweet but not super sweet, and very tasty! While I opted for the wine flight trying pinots and the malbec my mother opted for a wine slushy. She very much enjoyed her wine slushy as we discussed wine. I was sorry to hear that they no longer made ice wine due to lack of popularity. My mother said that they had the best ice wine. It was a fantastic stop on my wine tour!

We ordered the charcuterie board (Def get it for 3+ people) and yes $30 may seen like a lot you get $30 worth of food and more. I left with two boxes! This is what I want for a lingering evening at a winery while having wine, visiting with friends and listening to easy acoustic music. Domenick was our server and he was such a pleasure. Knew the menu, knew answers to our questions, and was very friendly. (Everyone there was!) Cannot recommend this place enough for a night on the town if in the area.
