Cane Rosso offers their own unique twist on pizza and I find it absolutely hilarious that they categorize their pizzas on the menu by "reds" and "whites." My husband loves loves loves pizza, while I am more of a pasta gal myself. The pizzas here are so generous enough in portion and toppings that we can both share one and some pasta too, getting the best of both worlds. We've tried the Honey Bastard, Cane Rosso, and Straight Fire pizzas. Our favorites are the Honey Bastard and Cane Rosso, but we have yet to test the rest of the menu. The truffle carbonara pasta on the other hand, will prevent me from ever trying another pasta here. It is quite literally to die for! I order this every. single. time. And I still can't get enough! The truffle cream and bacon and egg yolk? That's what I call the holy trinity. My family and I came here after going to the zoo and looking at lights. I'm really glad I was able to make a reservation. They got a seated pretty quickly. We ordered the cherry and burrata for the appetizers and it was excellent. I loved it! My dad ordered their hot dog which was hilariously huge but he said it was great. The other four of us ordered two pizzas that are half and half. The Taste was really good but I wish the crust was a little crispier. I didn't really enjoy having to use a fork because every time I picked it up all the toppings fell off. The thin crust is great, I just wish it wasn't all goofy underneath the toppings. I've always been a big fan of Cane Rosso, and this location is no different. The pizza is absolutely delicious--we tried the Billy Ray Valentine pizza, and it was superb, particularly the smoked bacon on top. And the restaurant is very family friendly--they had stacks of high chairs near the door, and the kids menu offered a smaller (but still big, I think) pizza for a reasonable price ($7). Service was great, and the pizza came out quickly. I'm a fan! read more

2nd time there, 1st time was great. Nice waitress on a Friday evening. Took my Aunt for an early dinner. Drinks were great. We enjoyed our dinner. Went back about 2 Mos later and ordered pizza from the bar, with a beer while waiting. Took pizza home and the whole center was soggy. I couldn't fold it, it just fell apart, I was very disappointed. Stopped by this Cane Rosso location for the first time last weekend to meet up with a couple of friends for brunch and we had a great time! It was my first time trying the brunch offerings at Cane Rosso as well and they do a great job melding brunch foods with pizza. The three of us split the Bodega and the Bacon Jamz and it was the perfect amount of food with a bit left over to take home. I really liked the everything bagel crust on the Bodega pizza, though it did get a bit burned on one side. Loved the inclusion of spinach artichoke dip as well. The Bacon Jamz also had great flavor and texture, though I was surprised at the Canadian bacon used (much more hammy texture) and would probably have preferred crisp bacon. The three of us also split a carafe of mimosas and there was a great amount, enough for each person to get one refill. The location wasn't super busy for noon on a Saturday, and service was great. Looking forward to my next Cane Rosso visit in the metroplex - this location is a winner! read more

I'm not sure if there's much more I can add to the accolades of Cane Rosso. Neapolitan pizza is my favorite food, and Cane Rosso is one of my favorites spots for it in Dallas. Though a little pricey, this restaurant is worth the occasional splurge. During this visit, I shared a plate of rosemary tater tots and fried mozzarella balls with my table. The tater tots are what you expect (the ranch was surprisingly delicious though), as well as the fried mozzarella balls. The pizza was an absolute 10/10. I shared a Honey Bastard pizza with a friend and it was delicious. The mixture of sweet and spicy flavors was so good- I highly recommend it! The service at my visit was very good. We had a large party, and they were happy to accommodate us. When it came time to splitting our bill, they were even willing to split mine and my friend's pizza onto two separate bills. The management was very courteous and accommodating when they learned we did not enjoy anything. The Resturant was clean and tidy. Parking is an issue at this location (Deep Ellum). Mine and my boyfriend's go-to place for a dinner date. The food never disappoints and the service is always top-notch. On busy nights (generally Fri, Sat, & Sun) the food takes a while to come out, but that's to be expected. You can, however, make a reservation online to evade any wait time. For food, I recommend the Honey Bastard. The price point is fair and the waitstaff is generally prompt to refill drinks and follow-up on requests. The only bad experience I've had here was when the wait time for a pizza was over an hour and we seldom saw our waitress in that time. It was a Saturday night, however, so I can hardly knock them for that. The priority seems to be on take-out orders, sometimes, but I always enjoy my food so it's fine. read more

We booked a table of 10 for a birthday dinner. Worst decision for the celebration. - Whole party arrived pretty much all within 10 mins of each other and drink orders were taken very quickly. One beer took 20 mins to arrive after all other drinks have arrived and appetizers ordered and almost finished. - Food orders were placed at the same time as the appetizers. 5 pizzas, 2 pastas and 1 salad. The pastas and salads arrived promptly after the appetizers were basically done, but the salad came without dressing. The guest requested the salad dressing and the waiter acknowledged the missing dressing and then never returned. - 35 mins into eating the pastas, the salad dressing and pizzas were still not at the table. The guest who ordered the salad decided to go up to the kitchen to ask for the dressing and saw our waiter just hanging out at the counter by the oven. She returned with her dressing and started on her salad. - 25 mins later the guest with the salad fished her salad and the 5 guests who ordered pizzas still have not received their food. At this point we are at about 1 hour after the pastas have arrived at the table. Flagged down the waiter to ask about the pizzas, he said he would check on it and then immediately returned with all the pizzas for everyone. The pizzas weren't super hot to the touch, meaning they have been sitting on the counter for a while but not delivered to our table. - The whole time we were there, which is about 2 hours, the waiter only came by to fill water twice. - Got the bill, due to party size, a 20% gratuity was already added to the bill, so we could t even tip according to the service we've received. - The group thought about asking for the manager, but unanimously decided we will not return again so there is no point. We go to this location multiple times a year with large parties, each bill would've been over $400. Thanks to this experience you've just lost out on potentially a couple thousand dollars of business per year. read more

Amazing place! Came by to eat some lunch with my daughters and they enjoyed every bite. They got a kids pasta with Alfredo sauce and we shared a margarita pizza! The pizza looks and tastes superb! Amazing professionalism from the staff. Sadly we are just visiting Dallas for the week and going back to houston but this place is a must try and if you live around here I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Great lunch spot. The restaurant and the patio are quite large and the bar has lots seating. The ranch dressing was Soooo good! I had the lunch special w/ Caesar and pepperoni pizza. I was nervous about that the caesar b/c of the menu's reference of anchovy. My server assured me to it was just a garnish. I just let them keep their anchovies. I hate to post this review, however this location has really gone downhill. Stopped in for dinner with just myself and two kids. Took an hour for two kid spaghettis to come out. My pizza and salad took about half an hour, but any parent knows how awful it is to have hungry kids waiting at a table with no food. They also charged me full price for house Rose during HH. When I asked why they said the menu was wrong and it's no longer on HH. Time to find a new pizza spot. read more

My husband and I used to find this place to be convenient and delicious. However, this cane Rosso location is neither of those things anymore. We took our kids for the May 4th promo, and while they were busy, this is no excuse for the quality of pizza that came to our table. The cheese slid right off and the dough was limp and soggy - severely undercooked. Afraid this was the final straw for us after giving them a handful of second chances. Have ordered to go frequently but recently things have gone downhill. I've had several poor experiences in a row now. On my last in store pickup I stood at the pickup area for almost 10 minutes before anyone said a word to me. TEN MINUTES is a long time. My last order was completely wrong and when we notified the restaurant the response in no way addressed the issues. Things have changed and I cannot recommend Canne Rosso to anyone. First visit to this lovely Neapolitan Pizza experience below Lakewood. It is up on the hill back in the shopping area and somewhat hidden compared to many of the other establishments. Plenty of parking! Gorgeous patio court yard behind a wall that blocks off the world so you can sit back and enjoy food company and drinks! Inside are a few rooms, a bar around the kitchen area and lot of TVs showing sports. Jessica was our amazing server and guided us through the menu and gave us some great ideas! We ordered Cane Rosso and Billy Ray Valentine pizzas, corn and zucchini fritters for an appetizer and shared a "small house salad". The fritters were absolutely better than I thought they would be and now are one of my favorites items when there! The small salad is a very tasty blend of chopped veggies, leafy greens, olives, red onions and a very delicious dressing. Small is enough to share! The star of the mean for me was the Cane Rosso pizza. Really good wood fired crust with the right amount of sauce and meaty toppings! A tad salty, but very tasty! We took a peach mascarpone pizza home for dessert and WOW was it beyond delicious! It is a seasonal item and glad Jessica advised us to try it! The place can get crowded fast in the evenings. My gf LOVES cane Rosso! Any chance she gets when we're in Dallas, she wants cane. The pizza is not my style of choice. But it's still pretty tasty and fresh. It is very thin, pizza and fork type of pizza. Very hard to pick up without all the toppings falling off. My fav thing here however is the crispy Brussel sprouts. All the toppings on it is so good and flavorful! I did get the balsamic drizzle on the side though, sometimes it can be a little too sweet and saucy. Today the Brussels sprouts were a bit burnt. Our server did say they kinda forgot about it since it came out so late. So we're guessing they forgot it while cooking ? Tiramisu is house made and legit! Very good! Made with lady fingers and not cake. It is a bit pricy but on the larger side. One app, one pizza, and one dessert was plenty for us to share for two. read more

They say it's like real Italian pizza but anyone that has ever lived in Italy will not agree. Also, both times the service was very poor. Now it used to be you could select other pizzas for that price as well but now it's only the margarita. That's fine by me because it's delicious. If you like, you can pay to upgrade your pizza like I did. For five extra bucks I got sausage and mushroom. Cane Rosso is a great family place with lots of adorable kids around. It seems like it's the perfect place for young couples to get a night on the town and an environment that is open to kids. The pizza is thin crust, Neapolitan, and always using the best ingredients. You can really tell the difference. I like looking at the oven fired pizza in front of me, While enjoying a three dollar Peroni beer. Honestly, some of the most tasty pizza in town.
