Honestly i didnt even care, just pointing it out in case others do. The food did take a second to come out but the wait was worth it and we liked the nice little atmosphere in here. Went with the #jabroni, which was probably a mistake. Ezzo pepperoni, house mozzarella and pesto...a lot of damn pesto. Serious flop. So much flop it'll make that pesto drop. Crust was soft, 0 crisp almost like a breadstick crust. Definitely not my preference. It also left a bad taste in my mouth. I get they use a brick oven, so you expect a smokey flavor, but it shouldn't taste like dirt. They have a honey bastard pizza that looks intriguing. This would be a cool date spot. I had a wonderful experience here with my family! We only had about 20 minutes to spare, so I ran in ahead of them and let the server know we were in a rush. (I believe my exact words were "listen, I got a bunch of old people with me...") Luckily the place was empty on a Monday mid-afternoon, so service was really quick. We sat down, ordered some drinks and a pizza, ate and got the check all within 20 minutes! Our server was very friendly, attentive and accommodating. And most importantly, the pizza was really good! They cook in 90 seconds in a wood fired oven, so they're perfectly thin and the crust is chewy yet well-crisped on the outside. My favorite pizza place! This pizza is so good, this is where we like to take our friends from out of town. And during happy hour you can't beat the prices. The crust is amazing and they're not skimpy with the toppings, which is great. It's the perfect amount of soppressata without it being greasy and overwhelming. I like to get a side of the candied jalapeños and the hot honey. Also noteworthy are the Brussels, super yummy and packed with tons of different ingredients full of flavor. Also their Caesar salad dressing is amazing! Order extra if you go because if you're gonna dip your crust in anything, it should be either the Caesar dressing or the hot honey. The service is always good, never any complaints there. Drinks are good too, average prices for the are and there are some happy hour specials too. I've held off on reviewing this location because I want to love it, since it's so close to our house and in the family friendly Star location. I've dined at other locations such as Carrollton and White Rock with no issues. This location needs some help and is setting a bad precedent for the Cane Rosso brand. Having been my third time visiting it's time to review. The restaurant is a great and fun environment located in the perfect spot next to cow tip creamery with great views of the Star and big screen. You walk in and your welcomed by a friendly host/hostess most of the time. The pizza oven is a giant brick cowboy helmet which is fun for those of us who are Cowboy fans. Lots of cool Star Wars stuff on the walls which makes it fun for kids as well. The pizza has not been consistent. They boast 90 seconds at 900 degrees, but we've had really good pies and at times some that were so soggy I'm not sure it was in the oven at all. This past weekend on Sunday we had some of the worst service we've ever had. Our server was not interested and absent most of the meal. We ordered the cast iron spinach dip, which was accompanied with a handful of chips. Keep in mind we were with 4 adults and those went fast. When she finally decided to check on us 10 minutes later the dip was cold and we were asking for more chips to accompany it. I am very glad they decided to go with the cast iron version instead of being served in the bread bowl as it was previously as it was much easier to share and enjoy. We ordered salads and asked if they were big enough to split as we were all ordering personal pies and she said no. This is a farce. The small caesar and house salad was more than enough to split between 2 people so order accordingly. Our teas were empty most of the meal and she forgot about the wine my mother in law ordered which was a solid 10 minute delay. Alas, the pizza. My build your own pizza was the last to arrive. The other 2 pies were served and then the server informed me that they were out of black olives and asked if that was okay. I said I suppose and immediately a pizza with giant chunks of green olives arrived in front of me. Makes me think she just typed in the wrong order or she would of come back and asked to change my order. That's lazy and aloof service. The margharita and hot soppresta (sp) were both cooked well and had lots of flavor. Again, I really want to love this location but there are a lot of inconsistencies with service and the cooking of the pizzas. read more

The service and food quality has really gone downhill. The hostess seemed annoyed that she had to actually work and seat us at a table. The waiter was no better as we sat there for 10 minutes before he even came over...and the restaurant was only half full with several staff standing around talking to each other. If you've been to any of the other Cane Rosso locations, you know some of what to expect here, but there's definitely a Dallas Cowboys/football twist and theme to this location, and it's fun to see and experience, starting with the big wood fired oven that resembles a Cowboys helmet. Moving on to the food, there are a few Cowboys inspired items here as well, with the lead being taken by "The Star", which is a more or less star shaped pizza/calzone "crossover", with the "arms" consisting of ricotta filled calzone, and the center following up with mozzarella, arugula, marinara, and pepperoni. It's a fairly tasty pie, but it's a compromise between the two formats. Don't plan on this feeding more than about two hungry people. The regular menu items you'd expect at Cane Rosso are here as well, including my favorite, the venerable Cuban sandwich, which, I know, sounds weird coming from an Italian place, but it remains one of the best examples of this sandwich I've had anywhere. Not surprisingly, this place gets busy on Cowboys game days and Friday and Saturday nights, so get a reservation if you're coming then. It's a cool place to hangout, though, for sure. read more
