This restaurant has changed hands in the last six months and is now a Mediterranean and Italian restaurant. Gone are the sweet employees and white tablecloths. So sad! We used to love having dinner here, but sadly the menu has all changed, the lovely servers are all gone, our employee did not understand any English, they offered gluten-free items like baba ghanoush, but didn't offer gluten-free bread, despite having it labeled as a gluten-free item (do I eat this with a fork?), and then encouraged us to go to their sister location next-door, which is a hookah lounge with belly dancers. I'm grieving the end of our favorite Italian restaurant!

Stopped by Cibo Cucina with my husband and and in-laws for a family lunch last month. It was pretty empty when we went on Saturday around noon but a few other parties had come in by the time we finished eating. The space is pretty huge and there's an outdoor patio that seems nice but we sat inside because we had a baby with us. Our group ordered family style and split several apps and entrees. The mussels were recommended by our server but were just okay -- we also found three closed mussels, but they were really apologetic and came out with some hot and fresh ones that were better. The bone marrow was also just okay, but we did really enjoy the meatballs. All the pastas we tried were really tasty! My favorite was probably the spicy vodka rigatoni, but the truffle chicken tagliatelle and shrimp scampi were also excellent. Shrimp were huge and very well cooked. Veal marsala came in a great portion size. The pizza we got was also just okay, but I think it was because we got one that didn't have a ton of cheese so it felt like just eating bread and toppings. Probably wouldn't be our first choice for Italian food in Plano, but a solid spot for pasta nonetheless.

I had the pleasure of returning to Cibo Cucina for lunch, and I have to say that the entire experience was nothing short of spectacular. Their new manager Manuel was so lovely & welcoming. Our server was very attentive & friendly, and of course, as always, the food was DELICIOUS. Everything we tried: Bruschetta: soooo refreshing! Their house served bread is also fantastic. Rigatoni with meatballs: Packed with flavor -- the meatballs are a MUST! Seabass: This was the star of the show. The risotto was phenomenal. Perfectly creamy & the fish was cooked to perfection. Dessert: Crème Bru Le: The granulated sugar top was thick, and the fruit was fresh. Limoncello Cheesecake: this was the dessert winner! The crust, the cake itself, everything was to die for. All in all, you cannot go wrong with any of the items on their menu. You can really tell the ingredients are fresh. PRO tip: if it's nice outside, ask to sit on the patio! It's gorgeous out there & very intimate for date night.

We ordered Cibo to go and thought it was decent. I had the Cibo Rigatoni (subbed spaghetti) along with the Mussels in White Wine Sauce. Both were good but on the saltier side. I would go back and try it in person as I've heard great things about it being the best Italian restaurant in the area.

Visiting friends in Dallas and my wife craved spaghetti bolognese. Found this place with great reviews. Then the strangest thing happened. Something I've never experienced. The server came over and started telling us items on the menu that were "not" available. Not just a couple of things, but large sections on the page. He claimed the owner was in the process of changing the menu. It just seemed so unprofessional. The menu pages could be easily removed. Why make the customer and employees endure this? Nevertheless, we ordered the Spaghetti Bolognese and Lobster Ravioli. Both were amazing. The house salad was beautifully presented. I hope to return again, with a fully developed menu. Because this time it cost you a star. ‍ Michael C. - Georgetown, Tx.

Good place and surprisingly halal (for those who look for that). I don't think I've seen a halal Italian place before. The restaurant itself is trendy and great for groups or date night. Service was good over all. I ordered the Cibo Rigatoni which comes with rigatoni in a vodka sauce, mixed with beef sausage and beef bacon. Everyone seemed to like what they got. Portion sizes are good and filling. We were celebrating a friends birthday and they brought a dessert sampler to try (after some issues with some of our orders).

We came here for Valentine's Day with a reservation and had an extremely disappointing experience. No waiter came to greet us, offer water, or even acknowledge our table for the first hour. We only received service after another customer went up to the bartender to ask for help -- I then had to do the same just to get water. He took our order, and we waited another hour and a half for our food. The entire restaurant felt disorganized. Waiters were walking around but seemed to be ignoring customers. I asked for napkins twice and a blonde waitress completely ignored me. Several tables around us were also waiting for menus and water, and some customers ended up leaving. The food finally arrived cold and tasted very underwhelming. It was shocking to see such poor service at a place with good reviews. This experience completely ruined our Valentine's Day. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this restaurant to others.

This is soooooo good. It's beautiful and Delicious! Look at the basil leaf -- it's see-through and crisp. The shrimp are fresh and plump, the pasta is cooked just right, and the sauce -- you can tell -- is rich, layered, and full of flavor. Danny, we are so happy to see you. And we feel so fortunate to be eating like we're in Italy. I will post other dishes later

I visited one early evening for dinner with friends. When we arrived it was pretty empty so the service was great even as people slowly trickled in. I loved the decor of the spot. It seemed like there was a nice back patio which I'd love to check out in the future. The food was good in my opinion! I'd definitely be back to have it again.

Sooooo, we love Italian. We have traveled Italy and our good friends live in Sicily. We just drove into town after driving across America. Wisco to T. (Long story). We were hungry. And a good Italian meal with a nice glass of Italian wine would do the trick. When my hubby said it's like getting a great home cooked meal, you know it's the right place. First they have a new chef. FROM ITALY! We talked food, wine etc. We ate amazing food. I was like , can I lick the plate . A simple glass of Chianti complemented everything And the service was great. And you know me,,,,bathrooms worked. Highly recommend!!!

Umm, what did I order!? Spaghetti bolognese to go, but this is what it looks like. Not al dente, it was mush.

The service here is beyond amazing! The chef came out and checked in on how we were enjoying the food, the waiter came out and checked in on us individually and as a collective group, the attention to everything was so sweet! The restaurant itself is very clean and spacious and had good lighting! The food is DELICIOUS! So yummy!! I got the gnocchi with cheese and you can tell they use quality ingredients and everything tastes beyond amazing, I can't recommend this place enough!! We were celebrating a birthday, and the chef gifted her a dessert - it was chocolate cake with whip cream and orange slices and it was so decadent and rich and delicious!

The selection is thoughtfully curated, with robust flavors and quality ingredients. I ordered the Wood Grilled Shrimp, a House Salad with added Salmon, a glass of Moscato, and a slice of Cheesecake for dessert. My entire ticket was under $80 which I thought was a great value for the quality and experience! And I have to give a special shoutout to my waiter, CJ! He was such a delight and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and the flavors. One thing I've noticed at many restaurants is that the waitstaff sometimes doesn't seem to actually eat where they work , so I really appreciate when a server can genuinely speak on the food and make recommendations with confidence. I'll definitely be visiting again! Great food, great service, and a beautiful ambiance.

We fully understood that we were early and were told that we had been checked in and that our table would be ready closer to our reservation time. We had absolutely no issue with that. While waiting, we found an area near the bar and ordered appetizers and drinks, spending close to $300 before we were ever seated for dinner. At approximately 8:20 p.m., after our reservation time had passed and we had received no update, we approached the host stand to make sure they knew we were still waiting. We were told that they were waiting for seats to become available and that we would be seated soon. At 8:30 p.m., we were still waiting. When we approached the host stand again, the response was noticeably less courteous. We were told that they could not ask people to leave their tables and that we would be seated when they could accommodate us. At some point during this exchange, we were also told that once we were eventually seated, they would provide us with complimentary appetizers. I want to be very clear: this was never about receiving free food or having something taken off our bill. We had already spent close to $300 on drinks and appetizers while waiting. I neither wanted nor needed complimentary appetizers. What I wanted was for our reservation to be honored within a reasonable amount of time--or, at the very least, for someone to communicate honestly with us, acknowledge the problem, and treat our family with respect. Offering free appetizers did nothing to address the actual issue. By approximately 8:35 p.m.--20 minutes after our reservation time and nearly 50 minutes after we initially checked in--it was apparent that there was no urgency to seat us and, more importantly, no meaningful communication about when we could expect to be seated. At that point, General Manager Landry became involved. Unfortunately, rather than attempting to de-escalate the situation or offer any reasonable solution, his attitude made an already frustrating situation substantially worse. When I reminded him that we had an 8:15 reservation and asked when we could realistically expect to be seated, he again told us that we would be seated when they could seat us. I explained that our party included a pregnant mother-to-be who had not eaten and was beginning to feel unwell, as well as a young child. There was no apparent concern or effort to accommodate the situation. When I pressed him for a more specific timeframe, Landry responded that "it's just a reservation." That statement was astonishing to me. A reservation is a commitment made between a restaurant and its customer. I certainly understand that restaurants run behind and that unexpected circumstances occur. What I do not understand is a General Manager dismissing a customer's reservation as though it carries no significance whatsoever. I asked Landry what Sixty Vines' policy would be if I had arrived 30 minutes late for my reservation. Instead of addressing the obvious point behind the question, he accused me of being "aggressive" and informed me that, if he wanted to, he could simply ask our party to leave. That response was completely inappropriate. Rather than acknowledging that his restaurant had failed to honor our reservation, apologizing for the delay, or attempting to find a solution, the General Manager chose to threaten to remove a family that had been patiently waiting and had already spent nearly $300 at the restaurant. A few minutes later, Landry walked past our group and visibly shook his head at us. It was dismissive, disrespectful, and entirely unbecoming of someone entrusted with managing a restaurant and representing the Sixty Vines brand. Ironically, the person who demonstrated the most professionalism and empathy that evening was the young server who had been taking care of us near the bar. She observed what was happening, approached us on her own, apologized for the situation, and asked whether there was anything she could do to help. Her response stood in stark contrast to that of the General Manager. By this point, we had closed our tab. The pregnant member of our party had become so unwell while we waited that she actually vomited. We informed Landry of what had happened, and again there appeared to be little concern. His primary focus remained his assertion that we had "yelled" at him. To be clear, customers who have waited well beyond their reservation time, received virtually no meaningful communication, and then been told by the General Manager that "it's just a reservation" are understandably going to become frustrated. A capable General Manager should know how to manage that frustration professionally rather than escalating the situation and threatening to remove the customers. Ultimately, we left without ever having the birthday dinner.

I was surprised, but they offer Happy Hour even on weekends! Both my hubby and I chose from the Happy Hour menu - a Pinot Noir for him and the Chardonnay for me. I was bummed, the Chard wasn't great and I wasn't planning on having more than a glass. Next time I'd skip the Happy Hour wines and just choose a better wine off the menu. Food. We came here for date night and I was starving. I was surprised to see such a small and limited menu. I think they're limiting themselves by only offering sharable items or single items at such a steep price. I started with Juan's Tostada for myself and my hubby chose the Notorious P.I.G.. The tostada was delicious! Fresh and tasty, but I was still hungry. But for $19 there was no way I was ordering another one. I'm sorry but $40 for two single appetizers is insane, plus I figured I might still be hungry. So instead I ordered the Notorious P.I.G. with no cheese (I'm dairy free). It was good, but not amazing. Half the pizza was burned and the sauce was barely there. As I looked around there was a group of women having a birthday dinner and one other couple who arrived on a date. The couple split a meat + cheese board and left. The birthday party nursed their glasses of wine the entire time we were there. For my disappointment wine, my hubby's two glasses of wine, our two pizzas and my tostada we spent $87 before tip. For a mediocre offering that was insanely expensive. My girlfriends meet up frequently to catch up and I would suggest this place if it was half the cost, but we can go to plenty of places nearby and get a better glass of wine with more affordable food options instead. I don't forsee Wine a Little lasting long in this new development.
