3.5/5 Stars experience for me. Cane Rosso is my usual go to when I'm craving Neapolitan pizza they have a decent happy hour and food is (usually) served fast especially if you get just a pizza. I came on a weekday at the start of happy hour and it was relatively slow but seemed they're a little short staff as it was a while before anyone noticed me waiting to be seated and the pizza took a while to get to me even though it was made pretty quickly. Overall it will still be my go to for Neapolitan pizza if I'm near The Star area. The taste is consistent and they have a rotating monthly special pizza that is always fun. Service wasn't bad, just a little slow and can't rate it 4/5 stars for the subpar experience compared to better previous stellar service.

Fried nuggz and wood-fired cheesy garlic bread

I saw Cane Rossos get nominated for their pizza but I wanted to start with their appetizers to go. It's clear to me they don't skimp out on quality. The cheese is nice and heavy on the garlic bread and the wood fire gives the bread a superior crust and fluffy interior and earthy taste. The fried nuggz are quite cheesy which was great and the sauce was a saucey sauce I finished by itself at the end. I'll be trying their pizza next! When I ordered it over the phone the staff was lovely too. EDIT: I ordered takeout again and got the honey bastard. People complain about how thin it is but I say that's the way it should be - less focus on the bread so you can focus on the flavors. The pizza lives up to the name - spicy and sweet and the protein feels like a bastard in your arteries. (I exaggerated that last bit). The pizza alone brought my 4 stars up to 5, I am very pleased with the outcome. I'll be trying the margherita next!

Been here a couple times and I don't remember it being so bad three years ago, dined here this week with my son and the food was horrible, the pizza was thin had a little to no sauce and the pepperoni and crust were burnt. The mozzarella bites were tiny and lacked flavor I was extremely disappointed I remember the macaroni and cheese being so good years ago. The only thing good was the ranch and beer lol. Definitely not coming here anymore although our waiter was friendly and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the decor was nice for Christmas.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Right across from the Omni Frisco, the food was amazing! The fried nugz are a great take on mozzarella sticks, the little warm bite sized treats. I also ordered the Alfredo with breaded chicken. They came in bite sized with the perfect noodle. If I was local I'd definitely make this a spot I visit, the menu had a lot of great options I'd love to try. The staff was friendly and attentive, great service!

We love visiting this restaurant when at The Star. Pizza is good. Sometimes it's a little more burned than I'd care for but the kids love it. Service is ok. The servers are always kind but not the most attentive so you'll need to flag them down when you need something. My youngest loves their pasta and my other two love the kids pizzas. The honey bastard pizza is really good. Honey on pizza sounds odd but trust me it is spectacular. The Star pizza was decent but I'd get the honey pizza next time. Our server and site manager were quite hospitable and kind.

Great location and great food! The pizza came out a little cold but it was tasty. The salad dressing options are a little sparse though and so are vegetarian options in general. We had good service though and our waitress did an outstanding job staying on top of everything. She even took our photo in front of the practice facility. Would definitely come back

Our group of twenty was across from Cane Rosso for a cheer competition so we popped in here. We were sat almost immediately. Kimberly was our server and she was fantastic. She had the best personality and our group was well taken care of. Our food was really good! I loved my pizza. The crust was absolutely delicious. Everyone seemed very pleased. My granddaughter ate her kids pizza and half of mine. So, that is a great sign! We had a lot of different options so I took some pics. Overall, we were very pleased and I'd definitely go again.

We arrived a party of 5, hostess basically couldn't help get us a table. They were not overly busy, we were going to sit at empty bar when we saw two tables open up and asked hostess if we could have those. After looking very confused, she said yes and after about 5 minutes had not made any move to clean them up or seat us. I complained to manager, finally we got seated. We ordered 2 salads 2 pizzas and 2 chicken parm. Everything was fine with the exception of the chicken parm. Photo shows the difference in the 2 pieces of chicken. One was thick, and cooked great. The other was so thin, it was barely chicken and all breading. Manager told the server it's the way it was cut and that was that. That meal was less than 1 star, manager attitude same. Drinks, Negroni was fine. Ordered Manhattan and no bitters, so no drink. Ordered Lone Star, out...oh well. Manager didn't offer anything, server was the bright spot...she was great. We eat at different locations. And haven't ever had this poor of an experience , the Star location was terrible. read more

The food was delicious and everything came visually appealing. We had leftovers and other family members gobbled them up. Summer provided excellent service and was sweet as pie during our visit. I always order door dash but this particular day decided to go into the restaurant and did not disappoint. The food, the pizza the service everything was top-tier. I would highly recommend this place and would definitely bring my family back. I love a pizza Stone oven, Neopolitan Pizza. This pizza is just as good as the pizza I had in the south of Italy . My go to is the Zoli however I've also had the Honey Bastard. Both really good and definitely passes the vibe check. Please go! read more

Had a wonderful experience with our daughter and SIL. First we split a cesar salad and order of cheese bread. The cesar was fresh and really liked the dressing. We have been here many times when we visit the Star for high school football games. Our party size is usually around 6, so we always call ahead for a reservation. They offer awesome customer service and many food options. I highly recommend and make sure you give them a try. Enjoy! read more

Input for the owner or manager. We hadn't been here in a few years. Thought we'd try it again. Two pizzas were overall great! However, service is definitely way off. Not busy at all on a Sunday afternoon. But yet, slow inattentive servers. Training needed. (I'm an ex-server. And I'm a longtime paid restaurant review writer for several magazines and social media sites.) Our server completely forgot one of our drinks. Even after describing the contents to us as my wife ordered it. So we waited 10 minutes for the rest of us to drink together out of courtesy. Didn't see our server, but we got the attention of the bartender. (We didn't ask for it, but the drink was comped on our bill. But we'd much rather have had the drink on time rather than the comp of course.) The worst, was that one of our plates had many tomato sauce spots on it. Why would you bring us a dirty plate? I love that I can see my pizzas get made from the counter top. My experience here was great, I had a quick lunch on Wednesday and I told my server beforehand! She was so quick with her suggestions from the lunch combo to my iced tea! Daniela is not only sweet but she's very engaging, it doesn't feel forced where some servers are very robotic with their approach. She holds conversations, suggests and takes her time with offering what food to get. I do appreciate how fast my food came, I wish I stayed longer to fully experience what cane has to offer! Cane Rosso was great! It's located in The Star which is a beautiful area right near Ford Center. Cane Rosso offers tables, a bar area, and a patio looking at Ford Center. I sat at the bar and was served quickly. The staff was so incredibly friendly. Brian was at the bar when I sat down and chatted a little bit, answering questions. I heard him suggesting some places to go around the area to other people who asked. He was great!! The Pomegranate mule was a great twist on a mule and easy to drink. the pizza I got was oily but didn't take away from the pizza. The arugula was very fresh and the dough so chewy. It's so sad. We have eaten here (various locations) for as long as we can remember but the last two visits, something has changed and pizza doesn't look or taste the same. Today, we got one that was turn outside and inside that parts of inside was hard like a piece of Wasa crackers. I Found out that pizza guys have changed and it looks like they haven't trained them or quality control isn't just there. Sadly, we won't be coming here anymore. read more

Went there tonight and was seated on the patio right away. The weather was perfect, as was the easy access to the field at the Star so my kids could run around while we waited on the food to arrive. I couldn't have asked for a better way to spend a Friday night. The margaritas were surprisingly some of the best I've had in a while. Not too sweet, not too tart - delicious and strong. We ordered the honey bastard pizza which was divine as always. Perfectly greasy with a kick and a nice sweet and savory balance. The star of the show however was the truffle carbonara pasta which was TO DIE FOR. So decadent and rich in the best way. Definitely a diet killer, but worth the calories. The kids had the mac n cheese and tater tots which were also good. Service was also top notch. Could not have asked for a better meal. 10/10 read more

What a culinary gem !! We stopped in for a quick lunch before flying home from Dallas. We were happily greeted by the hostess and seated immediately. Our waitress took our order and brought the pizzas within 10 minutes. We ordered the honey bastard and the CBF. The honey bastard was deliciousness with a kick. Sweet honey and bacon. The CBF, roasted chicken, bacon, smoked mozzarella, housemade mozzarella, farmhouse pesto.......all good stuff. All quality ingredients and the flavor was superb. Highly recommend if you are in the area. Great location near the Cowboys practice field. read more

Service / experience can be a bit hit or miss... but, overall enjoy the restaurant & will continue to go back. Generally like the Pizzas of the Month more than anything else. They can be novel & delicious... good flavor combinations that also (often) include really great Italian flavors (pistachio, pesto, mortadella, etc.). Pasta is somewhat meh... but, the lasagna is quite tasty. Especially recommend taking a tray to-go & eating on it for the week. FYI, would generally avoid DoorDash or take-out... as I believe the quality suffers during travel or there is less care given to the final product (overcooked, underwhelming pizza, etc.). read more

I only gave this location three stars because of how well our server treated us! She was attentive and a sweetheart! However, I have a huge concern. I find it very discouraging that the manager rushed us out on a special day like this! We had a fantastic time until closer to 10:50 p.m. He decided to lower the music, turn on the lights so they were brighter, and then flip the chairs on the tables at 11:00. Even before we checked out, my server told me that we were okay with staying and enjoying ourselves! I felt terrible because I asked her twice if she was sure, and she insisted that we don't worry and focus on our date! I'm ticked off even to be writing this review. But it tarnished my experience! Ten minutes after my date went to use the bathroom, he stopped and asked one employee by us to flip more tables as he waited and watched. I get it; there is a job to do. However, as a manager, I find it disgusting to see him move the way he did, and then once we were the only table, he was mumbling under his breath, which made us highly uncomfortable. It was upsetting on a holiday. I'm surprised he even suggested we write a review once we left after the move he pulled! I do not know his name, but I know he was an older Indian man with glasses. read more

Cane Rosso is pretty consistent regardless of where you go, but the establishment at The Star fell short for us this time around. We ordered the Spinach Dip, Hot Rob, Honey Bastard, and Pasta (so uninteresting I can't remember the name). The pizzas are thin and soggy so they just flopped over. I would give this location a 3+ rating. It's right across the street from the Omni Frisco/Dallas Cowboys facility. It has a very cool vibe and their outside patio was very nice. Everyone was pleased with their food. Our server was very nice, yet the restaurant as a whole seemed leaderless. We waited way too long for pizza and pasta. Leaving the property I simply thought, this place has great potential. read more

Let's start with the $2 mimosa!!! Service is generally quick depending on the rush, it is located beside in the star so a great spot to get the kids sleepy after they eat. Not sure how I felt about this place. We sat outside by the main door. I get that more of a barrier needed to be in place to separate the dining customers and the customers that are waiting to be seated. We had children playing with the chain/rope divider. Not the restaurant's fault, you know what I mean. Right? My drink was just okay. I should have sent it back and gave them a chance to correct it but I didn't want to be "that" person. Our appetizer was very tasty. I should have two. With a party of ten our server did a great job. Our water never went empty. Our dinner came out together and was properly cook. Close your eyes and remember the first time you went to a baseball game. You walk through the tunnel and see the grass mowed in stripes. You hear the crowd, the music, the smell of the grill. It's a life changing moment. The first time is always something special. Well several years ago, when the Star development first opened, we went to a place for the first time. And every time since, it just gets better and better. First lets start with the name. Don't be lazy and say it the way it sounds. It's not Cane Ross o. It's ConA RowsSo. It's fancy like that. Ok, now here's the deal, it used to be a secret. It's now so famous it's on the menu, but I've been all around the country and I can honestly say, this pizza is at the top. It's Mount Olympus. It's the creme de la creme. It's the Michael Jordan of pizzas. And so the name shouldn't surprise you either. It's called the Honey Bastard. And it's not scared of anything. When you bite into it, I'm pretty sure it's like that scene from Kung Fury, where he hacks too far back into time . . . it takes you somewhere special. Like Happy Gilmore and his happy place. I don't want to ruin it for you, but here's the deal. Since this place opened in 2016, we have been numerous times. And every time, it's an amazing experience. But last night . . . boom goes the dynamite! The manager Nelly and one of the most amazing servers in the history of Frisco eateries Sarah did the unthinkable . . . they sent me home with the Honey Bastard sauce to go. Why is this special do you ask? Well since 2016, I have asked them to package this sauce and sell it by the bottle. I'm quite sure it has healing or super hero power giving qualities and I have hunch that should you put it on burgers or in homemade salsa or possibly even on your Cheerios, that something amazing might happen in your mind. Well, now for the first time ever, that theory will be put to the test. It won't shock me if in one year, the line out the door is not only for to go food, but for this sauce bottled up and released on humanity as a gift of greatness to us all. But in all seriousness, if/when you take your family to experience this delightful slice of awesomesauce, make sure you ask for Sarah. She is the human version of Honey Bastardness. She'll just make everything better for you. And then when you're done, make sure you tell Nelly. Not always will the manager just come, offer you a smile or perhaps a tale of her travels, but trust me . . . it's worth it. If it were possible to offer 11 stars, I would. If I could somehow explain this pizza in 4 or even 5D, I would. But let me just remind you, that with this pizza, your first time doesn't have to only be your first. Disappointing Customer Service I recently visited Cane Russo restaurant and had a disappointing experience with the bartender, Dani. While waiting for my table, I asked for a simple glass of water, and her response was dismissive and unhelpful. When I explained that I had a reservation and was waiting for my table, she still refused to serve me water, suggesting I try next door instead. As a paying customer, I expect basic hospitality and courtesy, especially when I'm waiting for my table. The refusal to provide a glass of water seemed unnecessary and unwelcoming. I hope the restaurant takes steps to improve their customer service and trains their staff to be more accommodating and friendly. *Recommendation:* If you're looking for better service, you might want to consider other options. What up party peoples. Okay, this place has redeemed themselves a little bit. I came in last week with a group and we shared the calamari and 3 orders of the honey bastard pizza. Service was slow (took about 45 mins for food), but the food was good enough. It is sad that they only have one pizza worth getting and its an off menu item. Calamari: Well fried, not too oily. There's also random fried veggies in there, like sweet potato, jalapeno, and zucchini. Honey bastard: Sadly, this pizza is treated like the unwanted bastard child, and not even on the menu. Soppressata, bacon marmalade, and habanero honey drizzled over the pizza for the perfect sweet and savory combo. Pro tip: Ask for extra fresh basil! We had an amazing experience at Cane Rosso in Frisco thanks to our server Maggie. I came in with my daughter who has Type 1 diabetes and Maggie went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled with care. She paid close attention to every detail I mentioned, was incredibly patient, and made us feel completely comfortable the entire time. It is rare to find someone who genuinely listens and takes that extra step to make sure your family is taken care of, but Maggie did exactly that. Her level of attentiveness and compassion truly stood out and made our visit stress free and enjoyable. On top of that, the food was fantastic as always, but the service is what will keep us coming back. If you go, ask for Maggie, you will not regret it. read more

We were thrilled to see Cane Rosso again after losing the Fairview location we frequented. Over the holiday break, we decided to try the current location, and it felt like a delicious reunion! The food was just as amazing as we remembered. I ordered the Zoli pizza with sausage and soppresata, and my husband had the meatball sub both were fantastic. The flavors were bold, fresh, and perfectly executed. The restaurant was busy, which is always a good sign, but we were happy we made a reservation. Our server was attentive and friendly despite juggling a full house. Cane Rosso remains a standout spot for authentic, flavorful Italian food. I was here during a quick business meeting with my coworker, it was roughly around 3 and it was super quiet ! Everyone was so nice, we even chatted with the chef manny on how we need to protest to keep the Amatriciana pasta ! He was very humble and knowledgeable ! We also chatted a little with the manager I forgot his name, older guy with glasses chez? He was nice ! We adored our server Dani!! She is a gem ! We had such a great time at Cane Rosso! The atmosphere was warm, lively, and welcoming. The perfect place to relax and enjoy a great meal. Our server, Kimberly, was amazing ,super friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel right at home. She recommended the Brussels sprouts, and they were seriously some of the best we've ever had ,perfectly crispy and full of flavor. She also sold us on the Maserati Swirls, and we're so glad she did, absolutely delicious! Kimberly really went above and beyond to make the experience special. Absolutely incredible experience! The pizza here is out of this world--perfectly crispy crust, fresh toppings, and bursting with flavor. To top it off, our server, Dani, was amazing! Dani was so friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. She even recommended the "Fried Nuggz", which turned out to be one of the best ever. Dani is an outstanding server who truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and Chet, the GM, added a personal touch that made the evening unforgettable. I recently dined at Cane Rosso and had a pleasant experience. I ordered a Caesar salad, Margarita pizza, and a frosé. The Caesar salad was decent, although the bowl was slightly overfilled, making it a bit messy to eat. The Margarita pizza was delicious and satisfying, exactly what I was looking for. However, the star of the show was the frosé. It was perfectly crafted and incredibly refreshing. Overall, I would recommend Cane Rosso for a solid dining experience. read more

Fabulous! One of THE BEST pizza's in Dallas. It would be great if it stopped there butt I does not. The staff and management team at this location are super on point! Every time I've been in the manager on duty always takes the time to come by and check on chat with guests. Do not go to the Frisco location. They are not about people or business. They are unprofessional, rude and obviously don't know what is going on at The Frisco location. Doesn't deserve to be at the Star and the owner does t deserve to be part of Cane Rosso. Nothing, family or friendly about the Frisco location. We traveled about 2.5 hours to try this awesome restaurant and we were not disappointed! Aside from the amazing pizza and fun atmosphere, the service was above and beyond! Dani took amazing care of us and didn't have to wait for anything. She was sweet, personable, and very attentive. 10/10 service from Jaylee last night! These days restaurant service can be hit or miss, but she went above and beyond. The food was great, and she even suggested we do a 1/2 and 1/2 pizza and we've been coming here for a while and never knew that was an option! LOL. My server MAGGIE was top notch! Everything was perfection from the food to the service. My family and I tried three different pizzas that were suggested to us, as well as a few different drinks, and a dessert. The "lady bird" is to die for... I eat here quite often, and I'd say it's one of my favorite pizza places, but the one thing i's lacking is its staff. Many times they've been rude and dismissive and it's definitely a turn off to return. But all in all the food is great, but the staff needs to change. read more
