Cane Rosso was great! It's located in The Star which is a beautiful area right near Ford Center. Cane Rosso offers tables, a bar area, and a patio looking at Ford Center. I sat at the bar and was served quickly. The staff was so incredibly friendly. Brian was at the bar when I sat down and chatted a little bit, answering questions. I heard him suggesting some places to go around the area to other people who asked. He was great!! The Pomegranate mule was a great twist on a mule and easy to drink. the pizza I got was oily but didn't take away from the pizza. The arugula was very fresh and the dough so chewy. Went there tonight and was seated on the patio right away. The weather was perfect, as was the easy access to the field at the Star so my kids could run around while we waited on the food to arrive. The star of the show however was the truffle carbonara pasta which was TO DIE FOR. So decadent and rich in the best way. Definitely a diet killer, but worth the calories. They can be novel & delicious... good flavor combinations that also (often) include really great Italian flavors (pistachio, pesto, mortadella, etc.). Pasta is somewhat meh... but, the lasagna is quite tasty. Especially recommend taking a tray to-go & eating on it for the week. I only gave this location three stars because of how well our server treated us! She was attentive and a sweetheart! However, I have a huge concern. I find it very discouraging that the manager rushed us out on a special day like this! We had a fantastic time until closer to 10:50 p.m. He decided to lower the music, turn on the lights so they were brighter, and then flip the chairs on the tables at 11:00. Even before we checked out, my server told me that we were okay with staying and enjoying ourselves! Ten minutes after my date went to use the bathroom, he stopped and asked one employee by us to flip more tables as he waited and watched. I get it; there is a job to do. I don't know where to start, I was apart of a 16 top party this afternoon at the Star in frisco and I happen to be greeted by a younger man and a lady! Later I realized that lady was going to be our server. We are aware it was a last-minute accommodation, but she was able to enter in all of our lunch items and even though we had a Cowboys tour right at 3 o'clock she was able to get us in and out within 45 minutes. I was here Saturday night celebrating a birthday and I had an impeccable time!! Everything from the food suggestions to the attentiveness of our server was on point !! Dani is one of the best waitresses I have ran across in a long time, personality is not only very inviting but it amazes me how quick she is with refilling things without our party even asking!! Not only was it busy so we understood that things may take time but from start to finish just making sure we were catered to.
