I put a finger in his other ear and found another dirty cotton ball. They've also installed a curtain so you can't see what is going on with the groomers. If the dirty cotton had stayed there he'd very likely have developed an infection. Plus they removed most of his tail fur is GONE! I asked for a tidy-up and explained what I wanted. He's got almost a shave down ! Most of the feathers on his tail are totally gone. Won't go back. The person I talked with assured me she "got it" and understood my instructions. Obviously not. They hurt my boy and ruined his gorgeous tail. Don't bother! They don't know what they're doing.

Chelsie at Salty Dog has changed my life and has changed the life of my almost 15 year old German Shepherd/Husky. Our dog Fox has a lot of fear surrounding his nails being trimmed.. because of this it's been hard to find anyone who has been able to do it. Sometimes we would get lucky and we'd find a person who could do them, but we'd return a month later and no luck. He yelps, he trembles, he cries.. it has been devastating. We had resorted to paying to put him under sedation to have them trimmed. I'm ashamed to admit that the last time we had this done (2 years ago) he didn't see the same afterward. I was worried that he would pass away before ever finding a solution.. until we met Chelsie. He was scared, he trembled, he tried to bite. But she got in there and she cut every single nail. I was literally speechless with tears rolling down my cheeks. Still I didn't believe it would happen again. I thought it must have been luck or the right moment of the right day. But to my shock and delight, she has cut his nails every month since we met her almost a year ago. He is a different dog. She has helped to reshape the nail that was the worst and most painful for him. He feels pampered when we go. He even looks excited when I put him in the car. I can't even believe I'm writing this. Basically if you're thinking of going anywhere else--rethink it!! This is your place. Chelsie has a way with animals. She understands that their happiness depends on her quick and expert skills. She is confident, kind and efficient. She sees what each animal needs and so she is able to execute those skills while also keeping them content. They know they are safe with her. Both tubs were full of hair and so dirty. Hadn't been cleaned from prior dogs. We were told to use either tub. No clean towels, products or anything. I feel bad it seems that there has only been this one employee the past few times I've been there but I'm not paying to use a dirty tub that I have to scrape some other dog's hair out of just to use. It's been going downhill dramatically but today was the worst. Bummer.

I was told they now cannot accept my mobile appointment after 3pm and they do not do mobile appointments on the weekends. I was told to take my pups to the silverdale shop....which I almost did...but my dogs need quiet spaces and less anxiety. That's why I booked this service the first few times, and I personally dont feel canceling twice in a row (2 solid months in a row) is acceptable. I can get out of work early, but the earliest I could have the dogs ready was by 3pm.... or ANYtime on Friday's, which is when my appointments were scheduled. Basically they have mobile grooming available until 3pm Monday - Friday. Plan on going to the salon, or have back up plans in case they cancel. Waste of time and waiting for something that never happened. Find another service or "get the in" somewhere else. I truely wish I had not waited and continued to attempt to use this service after the first cancelation. Unhelpful service that I would no longer call "mobile grooming".

I was unable to make an appointment and was charged a $65 fee (no big deal). Paid it within 2 months of the missed appointment and now they are saying it was too late and they have cancelled my account. Apparently their policy is that if you have a cancelation fee of $65 and don't pay within 30 days they will cancel your account and refuse to see you for life. I proved to them the fee was paid but they still have not acknowledged the fact it was paid and refuse me as a customer. Its too bad as we have had 3 generations of dogs taken care of there but the new Gestopo management seems to be looking for reasons to eliminate customers.
