Our pup Cinnamon stayed for a week at the OBKC, her second time for an extended period. We know…read moreshe's in excellent hands for the attention, play time and care she gets while she's there. Aly, Beth and the staff at OBKC always follow through with any medication needs and provide us with updates on how Cinnamon is doing during her stay. You can tell that she has a good time there by the happy and energetic behavior she shows when we come to pick her up. The same goes for when she comes for doggy daycare as well!!

My pawrents were nervous and their minds were put to ease when they heard how well adjusted I was. The staff at OBKC gave me cuddles when I needed reassurance and played with me one on one so I felt loved. They made sure my meals were just right, which is very important. They treated me like I was not just a dog staying over. I was family. The staff made up for everything and more. Extra attention. Extra kindness. Extra love. I felt safe. I felt seen. I even felt fancy, like I was at my own little country club retreat. They also gave me a bath before pick up as per dad's request. I was clean and fluffy and so happy. By the time my pawrents came to pick me up, I was excited to see them, but I also felt like I was leaving friends behind. That says everything. So from one very well cared for pup, thank you for loving me while my people were away. You made it so much easier for my humans too!

Sabrielle and her staff truly understand and care about dogs. I have a very special little dog who…read moreneeds a lot of training and attention to help overcome her behavioral challenges and they not only understood what to do immediately, we've been making steady progress since we first met everyone. The convenient Wheaton location of the facility is great for daycare and they also allow for half-day daycare too. Very flexible scheduling. When I pick my dog up, I can tell that she's received personalized attention from the staff and that she has been well cared for. Often she's been able to work one-on-one with a staff member for nearly all of her half-day session. We also attend the group classes which are incredibly unique and let my dog build up practice interacting with other dogs in a way that reinforce new, good behaviors. My neighbors are thrilled with the progress almost as much as I am - my dog no longer automatically barks at everyone outside now and is able to make new friends. The in home training we did originally was incredibly valuable to get us started on the right foot. We need to do that again very soon! Is it the least expensive daycare and/or training in the area? No. But it is ABSOLUTELY worth it. When I leave my dog in the care of The Canine's Voice I know that she's going to be safe, loved, and will learn a few things while she's there. The classes are incredibly valuable too. The results speak for themselves.

She had plenty of tips and techniques and it was nice having her visit the home for the sessions to see how he is in that environment. After several mixed purpose sessions I feel like we're on the path to success, maybe. We hope .

The first day we went to thinking he had worms, right away we came in and they took samples. Turned out it was a false alarm. This time we went to get his neutered procedure. I couldn't be happier with my choice. The staff kept me updated throughout all times and they made the procedure very simple, informative and helpful. I didn't feel any pressure or stress with anything. I felt very comfortable, confident and appreciated. Everyone has their own experiences and all I can say is from the amounts of times I've been there, these two recent events I can say nothing but great things. Do your research before you commit in any location. What fits me and my furry friend may not be for everyone. I am sharing this because I do see many share negative opinions and I want to share with everyone my point of view and hopes that many furry friends can join the community.

While exploring her financial options to get his treatment, she overheard the vet techs saying "the dog and the owner are both a disaster." Obviously she was there to seek treatment for the dog (who turns out had fleas.) In this economy not everyone can afford expensive or immediate care- our dog's issues are not life threatening- so to call anyone looking for help a "disaster" is demeaning, degrading and downright wrong. She shared what she heard with the vet when she came back in, only to be told that the vet would address it. She also overheard a conversation with the techs stating that another person brought in a old cat and that the owner should "just give it up already." Needless to say, that will be our final visit. Your office walls are thin. People are there for help because they love their pets. Do better Elmhurst Animal Care Center.
