There were 3 in the party, but our third was held up at RR crossing due to extremely long freight train. Really a great spot to hit up for breakfast, menu was catered more towards breakfast. Woke up wanting to try out a nice breakfast spot. Canopy Road Cafe was the closest to our condo and it was a hit!! The staff was super friendly and the place was full of regulars and locals. That's how you know a place is good! I ordered the BLT Benedict which was delish. Dad ordered the Western omelet and my daughter got cheese grits and toast. This place has certainly changed. The staff is great as well as the cook. The burgers are "off the chain" Tried a breakfast burger ( fried egg, bacon, ham, pepper jack cheese, tomato , juicy beef patty) it was so good. Several days later my spouse and I returned, he LOVES burgers , he had same and was very impressed and fully satisfied with size of burger. The buns are brioche and toasted. This Cafe opened up several months ago and it replaced Bayard Cafe. I actually really enjoyed Bayard Cafe, and thus was a bit disappointed when they had to close. I had not known that canopy Road had replaced it for a couple of months, but when I found out I had to see what they had done to the place. When I looked online, the menu options looked pretty amazing and the environment had drastically improved. I have now been at least five or more times and can legitimately say they are better then Bayard Cafe. Their breakfast options are plentiful and unique and quite delicious no matter what you choose. I have not eaten the same thing twice yet and continue to want to try more off of their menu. Yesterday, I finally decided to try one of their sandwiches thinking that it just can't be as good as their breakfast options. Again, I was wrong. I chose the Palm coast Club I believe and the ciabatta bread was baked perfect and it has turkey large chunks of avocado and delicious bacon. It was really amazing and hit the spot well. The only thing that I could think to criticize were the French fries but they weren't bad. They were just standard run-of-the-mill fries. Their service here has always been great and you never have to end up waiting very long even when they're busy. The decor as I mentioned before is really nice and modern and fresh. My husband and I sent the morning with three grand kids under five, so we decided to grab brunch at Canopy Rd., Café. It was where the old Bayard Café used to be and look was fairly unchanged but the menu was a lot more interesting! We started the kids with large stack of 3 "strawberry topped" pancakes. They were light fluffy and perfectly browned. Amazing flavor and I am not usually a huge fan of pancakes! Because I usually get French toast we also ordered the captain crunch French toast and it came with a side of hash browns. We chose a montecristo to round out the table! I am Montecristo came with a blueberry topping. I'm attaching pictures of all but let me just say this meal was stupendous we all enjoyed our food we had lots to take home and the staff was super nice even when we lost control of the grandkids for a minute! TLDR: The food was excellent, five stars. The reason they lost a star was for service. Service was about three stars. ---------- Reasonable wait time, about 25 min. They gave an accurate wait estimate which was nice. Heads up- if you don't want to sit at the bar you should specify that when you put your name on the list with the host. We were a party of 3 and weren't asked if we wanted the bar, just seated there. I don't mind the bar if I'm with just one other person but when you have 3 or more it's very hard to have a conversation sitting in a line. Additionally, I'm pregnant and the bar chairs were very uncomfortable for my wide hips. I would have asked for us to be switched to a table but we were starving and the place was full with a wait. We started off with a cinnamon roll at the strong recommendation of the waitress. I LOVED it. Highly recommend. My friend said she still likes Publix ones better and it was a bit too soft for her, but I thought it was perfect. For my meal I got the Big Daddy omelette. YUM. The omelette was done just how I like them. Thin egg wrapped around a bunch of delicious fillings. 10/10 would get again. I've attached a picture of that. Like I said, the service was lacking. I got coffee to drink (for $2.75) I was never offered a refill. At that price, I expect the mug to be refilled once at a minimum. There was no butter at our area and I wasn't able to get the attention of any wait staff until more than halfway through my meal when my toast was already cold. The waitress never came to check and ask how are food was. All three of us had to actively try to flag her down to get our checks. She was only serving the people at our side of the counter so there wasn't much excuse for her never coming to check on us. Overall, I'd come back because the food was that good. read more

I've supported these guys since day one. (at least once- twice a week) For the most part everything is good.. food, people, service. But over the last few months things are changing. We usually pick up our food to go. My GRIPE If I order pancakes, I expect to see syrup and butter. Toast??? butter and at least asked if I want jelly. Utensils would be helpful as well. When I order eggs, I don't want to see clear uncooked whites. Every order, every weekend! By the time I drive back from my office any food I have is cold. Yes, dumb me for not asking and checking.. but I shouldn't have to. Today I was told the Manager on duty was too busy to talk to me. Furious, I drove back and waited for him in the drive thru and handed him my ice cold food. I told him the person answering the phone refused to let me speak with him, said "You were too busy." I showed him the note I wrote inside the box asking him to call me. Its been over three hours. Glad I had a protein bar in my drawer. read more

So let me explain myself why they got a four stars instead of 5. To start I really enjoyed the location there on a quaint little corner right by my apartment and decided to check them out! The interior is really clean, bright, sophisticated and inviting. The service was impeccable from the moment I walked in I was greeted by a smiling face and had maybe three other workers say hi or ask if I needed anything while I was in there which goes along way with me. Their menu has a lot of options from decadent breakfast to a savory lunch. I myself got the Avocado BLT Benny and I must say it was really delicious especially since that was my first time having hollandaise sauce and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Coming back to why I drop them a star is because the prices are a little to extensive for breakfast. Especially since they are giving small cafe feel I expected not to pay over 20 dollar for just me but I did. It kind of took me back especially when I didn't want to skimp out on the tip for the great service I received. $3.50 for three strips of bacon, when you can buy a whole pack of Oscar Mayer bacon for less than 6 at the grocery store. BTW it's not just about the bacon prices it was the whole meal I'm just using the bacon as an example.
