Looking for a place for Lunch in Ellijay ... look no further! Cantabury is the place to come visit! We arrived here and will put on a 30 minute wait but we were called in within 15 minutes. The restaurant is bright and airy and has a lively vibe about it! This place is famous for its sandwiches and that's exactly what we all decided to get! The Cheese sandwich and Tomato Soup was deelish as was my Turkey Ruben/ Broccoli Cheese Soup and the wifey's Pastrami sandwich! Our server was efficient and attentive and we did have a fun lunch! Yes, we will be back in the area!

I'd describe it as "fine." We came in for lunch on a Friday and we were seated quickly but it took over 30 minutes from when we ordered to when our food arrived. It looked great on the plate, but it was lacking. The pimento cheese burger was tough and chewy - the pimento cheese was good but I think they piled it on to hide the taste of the burger itself. My wife had the salad plate and was not overly impressed either. The sweet potatoes were extremely sweet and neither of us liked them. The regular fries were over seasoned and definitely needed ketchup to make them passable. The decor was rustic, but nothing special. It was a little loud with the painted concrete floors. Then getting the check was also very slow and it took much longer to leave than we would have liked. Overall, not the worst, but not a great experience either, especially for the prices.

We stopped in for a light lunch prior to going on a hike. I love the setup of the cafe, it's very warm and welcoming! There were so many options on the menu, it was so hard to choose from! I chose the two salad plate, subbing egg salad and pimento, and chose the tomato bisque soup. First, the tomato bisque was the best I've ever had! It has the perfect amount of sweetness and no acidity! It was delicious. My friend had the chicken and rice, which reminded me of a warm dumpling! The salad plate was perfect for me, just enough and absolutely delicious. My friends also enjoyed their food. I would definitely return!!

Friendly, Downtown Diner Get the Soup, Get the Soup, Get the Soup. I unfortunately got a Rueben that wasn't very good - very little meat, too much mustard (was expecting dijon, got yellow), soggy bread. Tomato Soup as a Side as recommended. Did I say "Get the Soup" yet? It was outstanding, even though it was a bit on the cool side. I'l be back for the Soup and update my review.

Was excited to try this spot visiting Ellijay this time and waited in line for it to open at 5 for dinner. Love the comfy atmosphere inside and little bar and lovely dessert displays station. Was excited until service picked up. Was greeted by the waitress which took some time as we were ready for our drink and food order. Placed everything in at the same time we were finally greeted. Took more than 30 minutes for a simple spinach dip to arrive. Then took another hour for our entree's to arrive as our waitress seems to forgot about dropping our order when she even checked in to tell us. Service was below par and lacking any empathy or urgency to fix it. Food arrived and cheesesteak sandwich's was underwhelming as it was a small size 6 inch sandwich likely. The country fried steak was okay and very peppery now than usually. Squash casserole had more onions than squash. The ravioli was okay and nothing memorable but they were large and fully stuffed overall which is nice. Lovely little spot but we just think we had a bad experience only due to the waitress we had as other tables came after and went before we did as seemed like their service was faster and better.

Another amazing lunch! Our server Tracy was amazing! So attentive, friendly and helpful! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu....so far we haven't. Great location and vibe.

Cute place to come for lunch. My husband and I stopped in today for a quick lunch date while the kids were at VBS. We found parking quickly in the circle outside though if you aren't lucky there is ample parking down side streets or in the public lot. We were seated right away. I loved the inside. The wood, brick, and iron lighting was beautiful and really honored the buildings history. Very charming. Gracie was our server, she was very sweet and attentive. Our food arrived quickly and was tasty. I enjoyed the tomato basil soup and chicken salad sandwich on a croissant. My husband had the California burger with a side salad. The patties were moist and tender, and the bread was perfect, soft and fresh. If you're looking for a yummy place to have lunch it's worth a visit.

Placed a take out order at counter. Place was packed on holiday weekend. Wait was 45 min; first come, first serve. Loo was clean and stocked. Edibles and potable were fine; good serving sizes; they kindly accommodated my modifications. Seemed like a happening place. Street parking. Overall, good. But wished we tried dining in.

We were visiting Ellijay and decided to try Cantaberry for the first time. There was a line outside waiting for the restaurant to open at 5 pm. Noticed some people already had reservations but were able to get in and get a table within 10 minutes no problem. Waitress took our orders right away and brought our drinks. For some reason, our appetizer a simple spinach dip took at least 30 min. The wait did not end there and overall we waited about an hour and a half for our food to arrive. I understand it was a busy night but I noticed other people were served their food first, ate and left before we even got our food. The waitress checked on us a couple of times and told us your food was coming but no actual reason why the food was taking so long. Finally our food arrived . The food was ok nothing great to roar about. I had the mushroom ravioli nice portion. The long wait was a bit too much. Besides that it was a cozy restaurant and it looked clean.

What a charming little sandwich shop tucked away in the Georgia mountains. This restaurant features casual dinning with a selection of great foods. Our server was very attentive to our party's needs. I ordered the pimento cheese burger while my wife order the grilled cheese sandwich for a late lunch. All of our food was great and we would definitely return. For dessert we ordered the chocolate cake and it was to die for. If you're in Ellijay browsing around, I would make it a point to stop at this restaurant.

You order at the front and they bring your meal to the table, but then they clean up the tables after you! For the sides, we've had mac & cheese, baked beans, potato salad, coleslaw and I can recommend all of them! When we chose the bread with our side, we were told this was the cornbread that was slightly sweet however it's not it's the salty savory kind. Hope this can help when anyone's placing their order to set expectations.

Lots of outdoor seating and they also have a drive through window. Just follow their entrance signs then the enter here sign but somehow missed the order here sign once inside. Thanks to the cashier for waving at us we then got back on track. Cashier was wonderful super nice and friendly. We ordered a couple of the 4 meat platter ($24) with choices of brisket, pulled pork, bbq ribs, turkey and pork sausage. For the sides mashed potatoes, geen beans, mac and cheese and potato salad. All the sides were really good but the meats not so much. The pulled pork was flavorless, brisket was on the dry side, ribs fell of the bone but were also flavorless and could not taste the smoke flavor. Turkey and pork sausage were the best. You get your choices of sauces . I stuck with original sweet bbq. My biggest disappointment was the corn bread. It was actually more of a corn meal muffin. No corn flavor and it was dry. You get two with your platter. I regret not ordering the Texas toast. Overall the place was clean, spacious with plenty of parking, great staff, signs everywhere but not the best bbq food I ever had.
