We were seated immediately as we arrived before the 6 pm rush. Our table ordered an array of appetizers including the lapas, linguica, codfish fritters, and mussels. All the appetizers were very tasty. For entrees our table ordered grilled octopus, octopus stew, and the rice dish that came with half a lobster. While everyone else said their meals were great, my grilled octopus lacked flavor and was extremely chewy. Our server was kind and very helpful. I would give this place another try but maybe try a different dish.

The restaurant is located in a small plaza with plenty of parking which is nice. Don't be fooled by the outside appearance because once you step inside you are nicely surprised by the super cute decor and how cozy and nice the place is. The waiter was very nice and attentive and recommended some entrees since it was our first time dining with them. There was so much to choose from because everything sounded so good. They even had a specials menu with very reasonable prices. They had a lobster dish special that was only $30! Wow! They gave us complimentary olives and warm bread with butter which was also really nice. We decided on wine because a half bottle was only $12! That was perfect for the both of us! We got the soup of the day which was kale with sausage and it was so good! There were big chunks of sausage and the delicious broth was perfect for a cold winter night. My boyfriend went with their sea bass which was a whole fish and it was nice and flaky and super yummy. I think the star of the night was my fegioda mariscos dish. The seafood and lobster looked amazing and tasted amazing! I especially enjoyed the red bean broth it paired well with the shrimp, mussels, clams and lobster! We were stuffed but satisfied by the end of our meal and wished we had room for dessert because the three options they had also sounded very good, but there's always next time! We will definitely be back!

My favorite thing is the Camarao Mocambique . The sauce is phenomenal make sure to soak it up with bread provided. I got the Mariscada for entree and large portions. I took half home and had a wonderful lunch with it the next day. I also had the traditional flan for dessert that was good. On another visit I got the fresh goat cheese which is amazing. You cannot go wrong with a meal here. The setting is nice low light and good for conversations with friends and family.

When dining in I'd highly recommend trying the steamed littlenecks--once you finish the clams, keep the sauce for dipping the complementary bread in! Bife A Case is my family's go-to entree, always ordered medium rare and with round potato fries. I'm sure you can't go wrong with any other entrees, but the opportunity cost is too high for me to try them--we eat here about once a month, and the order's always 4x Bife A Casa plus a couple apps. There's no bar seating, but they do serve alcohol including a number of red and white wines, and a few specialty cocktails.

The owner asked if she could bring us out drinks and never came back to get our drink order. I understand that some family owned restaurants have favorite regulars and give preferential treatment to certain guests. And I also understand that on busy nights (especially when World Cup futbol is on) things can get overlooked and forgotten. But this was a very disappointing experience and we will go to other Portuguese restaurants in the future. It's not a great feeling when you are made to feel not as important, at a restaurant that claims to pride itself on making you feel like family. The Lima's
