I'm very disappointed with this dental office. I was once a patient here, but I noticed they were overcharging and using questionable billing codes to maximize insurance claims. Be cautious--this place may try to exhaust your insurance benefits, leaving you to cover additional costs out of pocket. Make sure to review your dental statements closely and contact your insurance provider about any unexpected charges. I plan to report them to Consumer Affairs and the Better Business Bureau. Yesterday I had to have a filling on tooth number 12. Fortunately, I haven't had a cavity in probably 10+ years Dr. Alexandria Brent did the filling. And I tell you not only did I hardly what are you doing getting water feel the shot to numb the area but she is so smooth about it injecting it. First of all, I am huge on Customer service immediately when you walk in you are greeted by an amazing administration team. (Candy and Jessie). Loved their energy and smiles. Then Xrays were done and I couldn't have asked for a better Dental Assistant (Elizabeth). She was friendly and welcoming and kept a genuine conversation going. After all this was taken care of Sumaya Gave me an amazing cleaning and even educated me on the importance of each step in Oral hygiene, I was mind-blown. After either being repeatedly lied to about insurance coverage, or whomever is in charge of billing having no idea what they're doing, I was pretty much decided I was done coming here. Fed up with "oh actually you owe us $400~ for a procedure we told you would be covered. Aren't you glad we waited five months to decide to owe us more money?" This kept happening. Also I did not appreciate every time I went in, the dentist told the tech/assistant to add laser cleaning to my teeth. I told them every single time the laser treatment is too expensive for my wife and I to reasonably afford, but they kept putting it into my treatment plan against my will and I had to ask for it to be removed every time. That all should have dissuaded me, but what sealed it for me was the absolute hostility of the dentist herself being more-concerned about showing off "her work," as though I'm some kind of mannequin to be put on display to make her look good. I've never felt so dehumanized, not even during USAF basic training. The only good employee I met here in multiple years is the hygienist, for actually being a polite, decent and compassionate human being--aspects I did not see in the rest of the staff. Though I can't completely blame the staff when their superiors are as egomaniacal as the dentists employed here. I suffer from Crohn's Disease and have for a long time. For over 17 years my acid reflux at night has me puking in my mouth and eroding my teeth while I sleep. It's beyond my control. But rather than any form of consideration for my situation, I was only rudely insulted and debased repeatedly for making the dentist's work "not look as good as it could." I'm not your canvas. I'm a human being. And I'm going to find somewhere else that will treat me like one. read more

I chipped my front tooth twice and both times I got it fixed at Canyon Crest Dental. They did an excellent job both times, this time around Irma and Liz were working on it for me and what I really like is they were asking for my input when they finished filling it. They won't let you leave unless you are completely satisfied with the look and feel of your new tooth. They also offered me to return if I decide it needs an adjustment which was nice. The office ladies have always been very pleasant to me as well and the wait time is less than 5 minutes every time I arrive. read more

Poor customer service, they will charge more than what the insurance can payout. I came in for normal cleaning services and paid my co-pays and was at a zero balance. However they came back and said the insurance didn't pay them the full amount. Well don't you guys work with the insurance and should know what they pay and don't? They came back and said I owe more and sent it to collections. They refuse to accept their fault and leave it on the customer and have them get a negative item on their report. The customer service is the best I've ever experienced. I brought my 4 year old with me and that was a task within itself. All the staff was so sweet, friendly and attentive especially to my son. The experience was exceptional and professional. I felt comfortable and heard. They fixed a chipped tooth and did a great job. This is hands down the best dental place I've ever been to in my life. I feel like I have aversion to getting my teeth cleaned from childhood due to the pain and discomfort I would experience at the yearly dental appointments my parents forced upon me. Then after hitting 26 and being dropped of their insurance I went without dental care for 3 whole years! A coworker introduced me to this place and told me they were extremely nice and professional and I was still very reluctant to try. Upon looking up their info the sign up process already had me sold. Everything was done online without needing to pick up a phone and call. I put in my dental insurance info, my medical information, and when I walked in I was brought back on time. The staff there are very courteous and explained everything in detail. They made sure I was comfortable and addressed my apprehension with reassurance. It's been over a year now post-Invisalign and I totally forgot to update my review. After my concerns, Canyon Crest Dental reached out and resolved the issue. They informed me, that there is free retainers of lesser quality available and they apologized that it wasn't mentioned by the worker. They let me decide if I wanted to cancel my order for the better retainers, even though the custom made retainers were already ready for pick up. I really appreciated their prompt response and willingness to address my concerns. A year later, I am super content with the results of my teeth. I have been a regular for a year now. It was always a good visit until this last one. In my opinion, the hygienists always seem to be more friendly and helpful in term of oral health. They are the one gave me prescription to special mouth wash. I was concerned about my teeth shifting over time. The hygienist told me they had to do an X-ray to evaluate the situation. Fast forward to my recent visit, I had to wait 45 min for the dentist to talk to me for 5 min telling me things that the hygienist told me already and less information. She can't determine if my teeth are shifted from x-ray, and I am the one who can determine if my teeth are shifted. Moreover, a fluoride treatment is supposed to be included my visit, but they forgot about it. I had to call the office again to schedule an appointment for it. If I didn't remember, they probably would still charge me for it. I am quite disappointed with my visit. As a college student, money is very tight. I feel like the dentist was rushing me out of the office instead of giving me a personal care. I should have chosen to see the hygienist only instead of paying extra $110 to see a dentist. read more

I had my first visit 10/7 and I was blown away by the hospitality and great customer service. It feels more like a Spa then a Dentist office because of the amazing atmosphere/customer service of the staff. The one star will go to Dr. Nora because she's excellent. Unfortunately, zero stars for staff from the front desk, to billing, to managerial. A few months back I had to get a refund for being overcharged and it was such a hassle! I had to chase them around for three days and talk to a manager just to get a refund. Then, I tried to book an appointment with the new surgeon and Bernadette was so rude questioning Dr. Nora's plan for me and rolling her eyes asking me "why" with an attitude and that she's going to have to talk with Dr. Nora. I couldn't even believe the unprofessional manner in which she was questioning my dentist's decisions and plan for me. She told me that she didn't think my insurance would cover sedation for my impacted wisdom tooth removal and she would call me back with the cost but she never called. Regarding my experience with appointments and staff when my daughter got her wisdom teeth extracted we arrived early as staff suggested with our paperwork already filled out, my daughter had to wait an hour to have her surgery due to an emergency. We didn't get a call from staff that we might as well leave later. We were told that if we were late we would have our appointment canceled and we would be charged $75. Yet, we didn't even get so much of an apology for having to wait an hour. In fact, my husband paid the remaining balance with cash and Bernadette gave him attitude because she "didn't have change". I told him yeah, she has given me attitude multiple times now. I wasn't surprised at all. When I went for my original attempt to get my impacted wisdom tooth extracted I had to wait 90 minutes due to an emergency. A pattern apparently. So I sat with anxiety waiting only to not be able to get the procedure because it was too painful without sedation. When I told Bernadette that the surgeon was being aggressive with the tools she said that I Will experience pain and discomfort. I had my other impacted wisdom teeth extracted without sedation and the pain was not unbearable. The surgeon seemed to be testing my pain tolerance with poking and putting pressure with the tools on my gums and jaw bone. When I said it hurt too much he said that if I can't tolerate that pain then I should stop before he begins. He was not trying to be gentle like the dentist who extracted my other wisdom teeth. It was a really bad experience. Which is why I wanted the new surgeon to extract my wisdom tooth with sedation. Patients shouldn't have to feel this much anxiety when trying to have a procedure done. Bernadette should have tried to make me feel safe and assure me that she will look into my anesthesia coverage with my insurance instead of saying with an attitude that that will probably not approve it for getting one tooth extracted, after she knew what I went through with the first attempt. Regarding the experience with my daughter's night guard. She was told that they would call her when it was ready. Well, they never called and it was over a month later. I had her call and the guard was there. In regards to billing, I received my insurance bill for my annual cleaning and my insurance was charged for a service I did not receive. My insurance covered the service but it's the principle and patients should not be charged for services not received. I spoke to someone who said in the notes it was written that I got the treatment. I told them that I indeed did not receive it and they passed me on to a manager who proceeded to tell me that they spoke with the assistant and she told the manager that I got the treatment. The manager proceeded to say they keep excellent records of treatment given. So she implied I was either lying or too dumb to know if I got the treatment. It makes zero sense since my insurance covered it so I wasn't trying to get out of paying. I was so confused. It is not how a manager should handle a dispute. My daughter was with me since we had an appointment at the same time and I told her I didn't get the fluoride treatment, that I was supposed to get it after speaking with Dr. Nora because the assistant said she will wait until the dentist can look at my teeth and then put the fluoride treatment on but after Dr. Nora was finished speaking with me I got up and I left without getting the fluoride treatment. It wasn't until I was on my way home that I remembered I was supposed to get the treatment. Then I was billed for it and then told I was wrong by management because their records show I got the treatment. She didn't consider there's a thing called human error. People make mistakes! The assistant wrote down the wrong thing. The manager offered for me to go in and get the treatment after I got upset over the whole ordeal of questioning my honesty or intelligence. I told her I would be getting a new dentist and she said, "okay have a good day". So, needless to say I'm moving on, taking my two adult kids with me. My son had oral surgery ( 4 Wisdom teeth pulled) this past Saturday. Several hours after returning home he was experiencing a lot of bleeding. I called the dental office and they reassured me that was normal. 5 minutes after our call Dr. Sharobiem oral surgeon called me back. I was pleasantly suprised. I asked if I could bring him back and he agreed. The office was about to close but he said they would wait. The front office staff was amazing when we got there. Dr Brent did some crown work on me and my teeth had shifted. I came in and made a complain and ladies at front and her assistant said it happens and they scheduled me to come in and have it fixed right away. I came in 2 days later and Dr Brent said that it never happens. Never in her career or in dental history. I was confused because the person who saw me before she entered the room said it was too high and acknowledged the shift in my teeth. They even went over my X-rays. Long story short, she didn't touch my teeth because a crown won't cause a shift. But I still keep biting down on my bottom teeth and crown was done on top. I came in, saw a dift dentist and they found that my crown was too high and they had to take it off and shave it down. It was relieving after Dr. Brent's work was fixed. Such a shame I have to leave this review because I loved my Dr. but the managerial side of it was awful. I needed a procedure done (a partial crown) which I gotten a coupon in the mail for $200 off. My husband did not know about the discount Called in ahead of time to pay for my procedure, when I went in for my appointment they said everything was taken care of, I asked if the could honor the $200 off I received in the mail and refund it. They said they could not or would not I should say. It was the right thing to do in my opinion, but they refused. So now they lost two patients (myself and my husband) over $200 , which I also let her know and she was okay with it. read more
