I have to echo the experience of previous posters who had problems with the Canyon Glass "gatekeeper". I contacted Canyon Glass through Yelp to get a quote to have my shower doors replaced. I am hearing disabled and unable to use a telephone and said so in my quote request. The "Joanna" person responded with a terse e-mail saying that I will need a total shower replacement and that I should call their guy to get a quote. I have to wonder how this company policy is working out for them. It certainly left me cold. Interesting that "Joanna" knew exactly what *COULDN'T* be done without even looking at the job. I contacted Canyon Glass to get a quote for a potential blown seal on a window at my house. There was just enough shadow/fogginess and dirt on and around the window to put it in to question. Jeff showed up and walked me through what was going on with my window and explained that the unit was not compromised. He also took some time to explain what was happening with a few other windows on my property. In the end, no work was required and I really appreciated the time and patience from Jeff. I read the other reviews concerning the lady who answered the phone on the initial call. In my case, my call was going that route but I remained friendly and was able to have a pleasant conversation which ended in scheduling the quote ~1 hr after my initial call. read more

Had a window crack and wasn't sure where to go. Canyon Glass sent someone out got an estimate a few hours later, and a week later they replaced it. Price was fair, but what stands out is how professional and punctual the guys that came out to estimate then do the replacement were. Showed up when they said they would, great job of replacing the glass and putting the frame and molding back together, no mess, and generally just nice and professional. I've been using Canyon Glass for years. They have great service and pricing. Read the negative reviews below with skepticism. Canyon Glass does not charge $100 to cut a piece of glass. I just ordered two custom pieces of 1/4" glass cut in rectangles and the total cost, including the glass and cutting, was $20, QUOTED OVER THE PHONE. This is less than purchasing the glass alone from HomeDepot (if HD sold 1/4"). Highly recommend Canyon Glass. read more

I called local glass shops to get an estimate to replace a small side window of a china hutch. I already had the glass, just needed it cut on two sides. When I called Canyon Glass, the older sounding woman who answered the phone was extremely RUDE! She not only would not give me an estimate, she was short and rude. She said she could not give me an estimate without the dimensions. I said, here are the approximate dimensions, how about a ballpark figure? I just wanted to know how much "roughly" this would cost vs replacing the window with another material. She would NOT give me a ballpark. So I said, "am I looking at $100?!" and she said "YES it will be $100" in the snottiest most sarcastic and rude voice. I have been searching for a shop I can use repeatedly for my business and this one will NOT be it! First impressions are everything! The gal over at a A1glass on Western was pleasant when I called and gave me a $22-28 estimate easily (they will get my business). I wound up buying a $3 cutter from Home Depot and cutting the glass EASILY myself! I guess I saved $100 and a lot of attitude too! read more

We hired Canyon Glass to measure and install glass on the counter tops of some new furniture that we purchased (bedside tables, an end table, a TV stand, and a dresser). I returned to Canyon Glass after three years of having my shower door installed. I was looking for a new shower guard that I felt needed to be custom to avoid water spillage onto the floor. I entered and there were two ladies visiting and conversing. When I entered, another lady came out of the side office and smiled, we both waited for the other two to finish their visit. After several, minutes I was asked how I could be helped. I explained. When I was done they explained that I would have to leave the shower guard there ( I brought old one with me) and that they would have Wayne get back to me. I asked a time frame and there was no way that this was possible as there are days when he does not return to the office "at all" they replied. I asked if we could contact him or make an appointment. No way that was possible either. I then remembered that when I had my door put in the first time there was a similar situation. The poor communication and customer service here makes me wonder how this business survives. Wayne is the only capable person and has a poor support coming from the office.
