The shooting game was broken but charged us anyway (a manager had to refund us), and the ski-ball was entertaining, but with the amount of kids, and there only being one machine, it was a challenge. I wouldn't call this a sports bar either. There were some TVs but nothing big or to write home about. Come here for a chill time with adults to enjoy conversation and great beer. They have a fairly large merch section in the back, with tons of great shirts and items to take home.

Regina was our host, and she was very helpful in guiding me through the selections and helping me choose my wines. The tasting room is comfortable and inviting. We sat at the bar, but there are also tables and chairs if you prefer a more relaxed setting. If you're hungry, you can order food from the restaurant next door, and they'll bring it right over to you. A great way to experience Arizona wines while enjoying a fun stop along historic Route 66!

I had a "martini" that was excellent and tasted like kahlua and cream. I went back for seconds after eating the somewhat "challenged in taste" department food. I'd eaten a big lunch, so I just went for the Asian themed salad. The lettuce looked like it had seen better days, and they covered it with those crunchy Chinese noodles to try to hide the wiltedness. I hope there was no slime, but I'm not entirely sure in hindsight. I only ate half of it and ordered another drink instead. The yuk factor ratcheted up with my husband's bratwurst, which was served on a pretzel roll. It looked good at first, and he dived in, but after a couple bites he noticed the mold on the bun. Mold! On the bun. Ewwwww! This made me look at my own salad with a more discerning eye, to be sure. To their credit they brought him a different meal, fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, that he proclaimed "bland, needed salt and pepper (there was none on the table) but at least there was no mold." I felt bad for the server, because if they're serving food this crap on a daily basis, they must be terrified to go to work. It's a real shame, because I think the hotel is lovely. They need a better food manager who doesn't allow this kind of poor quality to walk out the door of their kitchen. Oh, it was our anniversary too. Happy anniversary to us! Woot!

As I mentioned, the entire town was busy, so we decided to stay for lunch. Everything on the menu sounded good, but We decided to split the hog pizza, With. Tomato sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, italian sausage and salami. They use a woodfired oven, which makes for a much higher quality pie.... Our food came at almost exactly a half an hour. It was a very decent sized pizza. The crust was perfect, and it was also a good quality, tomato sauce, with just a little bit of a "tang" to it. They were generous with the cheese and the meats, and you could tell that they were using a very good quality meat. It was an excellent pizza. They had a couple of "Arizona gunslinger" hot sauces is on the table. I didn't care for the red sauce, but I loved the green sauce. It's a jalapeño based sauce, but the jalapeño didn't take over the rest of the sauce. It had a complex slightly sweet flavor, and not too much of a "kick". It said "smokin ' hot" on the bottle, but it wasn't all heat. The complex flavor played very well with the heat I liked it so much, I asked if they sold it in their gift shop, and they said no, but there was a shop a couple of doors down that carries it. I wish I would remember the name of the shop. It was your standard gift shop, but they had a huge selection of hot sauces available I got my bottle, and I'm glad I brought it home. I love this stuff. I hear that you can also buy it in grocery stores around Arizona.
