This is fantastic Cape Cod seafood restaurant in an unexpected location (ie strip mall) and I highly recommend a visit. I had the lobster roll and it was perfect and I also had the lobster and sweet corn chowder and it was also perfect. Service was super friendly and the prices were right. Wowsa! We started off with their New England clam chowder. Certainly better than any chowda I've had in New England. Stock full of clams and so flavorful. Wicked good. Short intermission from the food. The people who work here are so nice and helpful. Back to the food. We had the classic lobster roll. OMG, it came out looking small, but damn, there was a ton of lobster stuffed into that perfectly buttered roll. We also ordered a side of their wasabi shrimp. Side??!! Huge portion of the best shrimp ever! Perfectly fried and drizzled with a wasabi/lime and soy and Thai chili sauce. I wanted to lick the plate. OK, I lied, I licked the plate. Fabulous. For it to have over 650 reviews & close to a 5-star rating, it's obvious this is where one comes for QUALITY SEAFOOD. Open Wednesday thru Sunday 11:30 AM till 8 PM, this restaurant is truly PHE-NOM-I-NAL. You won't eat here just once. Trust me. I know-- 'cause it's been just five hours since we left w/ full bellies, & we're already discussing returning to try additional entrees! And I dare you to get past the patio hostess without receiving a big smile & a warm greeting. I double dare you to get more than two feet inside the front door w/o the happy wait staff welcoming you. When you couple the service w/ the EXCEPTIONAL food @ reasonable prices, there is no question that this seafood restaurant is TOPS! Although its interior decor, as well as its exterior patio, require no more than flip-flops & shorts, you'll never miss the aestetics of more upscale restaurants. With the daily Specials posted on the wall, we selected the House Smoked Fish Dip w/ capers & crackers @ $8.99. SOOO GOOD! Once it softened a little, it was YUMMY. (Love Boat has two locations in Ft. Meyers.) According to staff, the three most popular menu items are the Lobster Roll (prepared three ways); the Fish & Chips, & any of the three Chowders. Additional mouth-watering finds on the menu: Baked Almond Cod; Shrimp & Cod Po Boys; Lobster Pie; Parmesean Truffle Fries; Whole Bellied Fried Clams; Baked Stuffed Shrimp; Seafood Cobb Salad; Strawberry Salmon Salad; & SO many others-- SEA MENU PICS :) Draft Beer, Wine, & Red Sangria, along w/ Sodas & Iced Teas, are available. My family and I arrived 30 minutes before closing. There was only a couple tables occupied and the staff was prepping to close. However, we were greeted as though they just opened. Great service continued throughout the night. We ordered the shrimp plate, tacos, shrimp and cod and child's shrimp plate. The fish was cooked to perfection. It was crispy and well seasoned. What a find! This gem is on the corner of a shopping plaza that offers indoor and outdoor seating. The outside and inside decor is great and inviting - beachy but not over the top. We opted to sit outside. Even on a hot Florida day, sitting outside was very comfortable. We struggled with deciding what to get. There were so many options and everything sounded amazing. We settled on the wasabi shrimp appetizer, lobster tacos, and blackened salmon tacos. We were not disappointed! Everything was fresh and delicious. Our server was very friendly and helpful. Cannot recommend this place enough if you're looking to have an awesome lunch in Ft. Myers. The below pictures are my wife's Lobstah Roll and my Crab and Pimento sandwich. Her roll was great but not huge - it's best to pay a little more for the higher size one. If you even remotely like Crab or pimento cheese the sandwich I had was wondeful - huge crab chunks in there, flavorful cheese on perfectly goldened bread. Top that all off there with some draft Yuengling which is a big plus to this Midwesterner and it's hard to beat. read more

I thought I posted this update of my return to here. But I don't see it. The Manager made my 17 year old daughter cry on a takeout. He yeld at her that the takeout was a waist of the restaurant's time. He then took the phone off the hook so no one else would call in orders. And I couldn't call when she got home to tell me this. I went back to yell at him and he wouldn't come out of the back. The other person there said the owner would call me. He never did. I call and left a message 3 times. Still no call. Food is five stars. Staff is five stars. Ambiance is diner mode. I prefer the outside and with fans is pleasant. Lobster rolls are the specialty. I like the lobster avocado bacon grilled cheese. The baked beans have a touch of spice ( nit vegetarian). The calamari and lobster corn chowda' are a must try. read more

Been lucky enough to have eaten here on 2 occasions. It's a hidden little gem trucked away at the end of a strip mall. A few outdoor seats and a few indoors. A few beers on tap which is a must for me. Service has been spot on both times and the place has been super clean. On my 1st visit I got what looked to be their most talked about item, the lobstah roll. I went with the classic and geez was tasty. Nice amount of meat with just the right touch of seasoning and extras to not take away from the lobster. On my 2nd trip I did the obvious. Ordered the same damn thing. Again it was perfect. I did notice this time it seemed to be just a bit smaller. Not the end of the world but noticeable. Not a reason enough for me not visiting when i return. read more

This has been on my Yelp list since moving to the area. Finally tried it out today for lunch. Indoor and outdoor seating available. We went on a Saturday around 2pm, and it was busy but not too crowded...plenty of tables. All the staff were friendly and attentive. We ordered the clam cakes, fish and chips (came with coleslaw), and shrimp po'boy with fries. The portions were very big (could not finish the fries). Everything was extremely fresh, especially the fish. Despite everything being fried, it did not leave you feeling heavy or gross. Definitely will return! Food is great!!! Service is less than desirable. We sat at our table for five minutes and the waitress gave us our drinks when we sat down but then ignored us for at least five minutes or longer. Then a couple sat down next to us and she got them their drinks and food and my wife who went to the bathroom had come back and asked if I had ordered or not. I said no but she decided to help the next table first. Then she under her breath said "said I serve everyone at the same time " and then finally took our order. Not very good service. The food is the best but will get it to go in the future so I don't have to be treated this way and lied to about the service. I think her name was Kate. Such a shame. read more

This is a wonderful establishment. My wife and I have been going here since they opened. If you are in the mood for real New England type seafood dishes, then this is the place for you. My wife loves the Loberster corn chowder and my personal favorite the New England clam chowder. My companions all had compliments for their food (fish and chips and fried cod tacos) and everyone loves the coleslaw. We had a minor issue with the avocados on the crunchy cod tacos, but since writing my original review the owner has responded to let me know of their concern. Service and atmosphere are top notch. Everybody feels like family, and feeling like family is amazing. Living in New England and a SWFL take on regional fare had my ears perked up: lobster roll and bisque will bet my attn any day. So I ordered the lunch special and was overall extremely pleased with the plate. Sure, there are minor tweaks I'd have made and I'm thinking of dominant versions of both in the back of my mind, but again, SWFL - so it's a hot take. Would definitely dine again. read more

Great lunch! We got there at noon and the place was filling up very quickly. They offer a lunch menu that was perfect portions. Two of us had fish and chips. I think the chips are homemade and delicious. Both fish and chips were yummy. I had the lobster roll. It was good but needed a little more flavor.
