I am disabled, and need extra assistance with certain things. They went out of their way to help me and were kind and professional as well. The doctor was phenomenal. He took time to ask me about my experience at the previous pain management clinic I attended, and why I left. He asked what I was hoping to get out of my experience with him and his clinic. We discussed my medication's and he was able to tell me that I had received some in accurate information previously. we made adjustments to my medication's and he told me what his course of action would be if I don't see improvement. He was very open and explained things thoroughly. He was very kind and personable, but also incredibly knowledgeable and professional. I am very happy that I made the choice to switch clinics and I am confident I will see reduction in my pain levels and that he will work with me until that happens.

I have dealt with chronic pain for the past 17 years and I have seen many pain management doctors and he is, without hesitation, my favorite doctor. Not only does he listen to all of my concerns and address them accordingly, he always takes the time to ask me about all other aspects of my life - my marriage, my husband, my children. He's truly a good caring person all the way around!! The icing on the cake... ALL of his staff are always kind and understanding, even when you have a personal issue arise the day before your scheduled appointment and have to make your appointment time around. If I could give all of them more than five stars I would!!

I went a few weeks ago for severe chronic back pain. He literally opened with 'Why don't you just…read moretake acetaminophen?' And obviously I wouldn't be here if that worked?? And as I was answering he repeatedly kept interrupting me, for example with that question I was about to say I wouldn't be here if it worked and he interrupted me mid sentence to ask 'why haven't you tried injections?' He didn't even let me answer either, I have answers for all the questions he asked but I couldn't even say them because he interrupted me so much. In general felt he didn't care and I had even told him I don't get nerve pain and without much examination of me prescribed some random nerve pain medication. I questioned this and he said 'If this doesn't work we will only prescribe something similar'. Complete waste of time, all I wanted was a muscle relaxer so I could have a decent night's sleep for once. If you've been to a doctor that didn't take you seriously then you know what I'm talking about.

I had had these shots over a year ago by another practitioner, she was in and out and the shots did nothing for me. When I say in and out I mean it seemed like the procedure was simply to dispense some product into my back and charge my insurance. My experience with Dr. Mahboobi was completely different. He explained to me what he was going to do and systematically with great care and precision injected the medicine in exactly to precise spot it needed to be. During the procedure he told me every step of what he was doing. I found him to be professional, caring and an exceptional physician. The time he spent with me was triple what the other doctor had spent and the results were 300% better. I suggest that if you need spinal tap procedure for back pain you seek Dr. Mahboobi's excellent care. He is an expert at what he does and really cares about his patients.

They told me they tried to call me twice but didn't leave a voice message, which doesn't make sense. Now they don't have any appointments for 2 more months. My suggestion would be to call their front office a week before and the day before so you don't have to do unnecessary coordinating for an appointment that isn't happening. Unfortunate this happened since this part of town doesn't have many other options for pediatrics dentists.

From the moment we walked in, the staff made my kids feel comfortable and at ease. The facility is clean, welcoming, and well-equipped to keep children relaxed during their visit. The dentists here provide top-notch care, explaining everything patiently (can't emphasize this enough, Dr. Wilson has a future as the next Blues Clues host is he decides to leave dentistry) and ensuring my kids felt safe and confident throughout their appointments. The level of professionalism and kindness from both the dentists and staff is unmatched, making this the best dental experience my children have ever had. If you're looking for a pediatric dentist in the DC area who truly prioritizes excellent care, a stress-free experience, and efficiency, this is the place to go! Highly recommend!

Dr. Chin is an anesthesiologist who is co-director of the GW Pain Management Center. I had a…read morepretty serious back injury a while ago that put me through the ringer of spinal injury treatments - pretty much everything short of surgery! UGH! After months of physical therapy, I was still dealing with quite a bit of pain - so, my orthopedist referred me to Dr. Chin for some additional help. She sat down with me and reassuringly explained all my other options (okay, to be fair, there weren't very many options - but she definitely made me feel better about things!). I ended up getting three epidural steroid injections (three because that's how many it took to get a good benefit from them), and if you've never had one of these, it is a bit of a scary process - no one likes having long needles right in there with all your spinal nerves, eek!! But Dr. Chin made me feel as comfortable as possible with the process, talking me through everything and making me feel a million times better. I was dealing with this solo, with no close family here to support me. She really held my hand through it, without making me feel stupid for worrying, which was just what I needed! The nurses at the GW outpatient surgery center were equally friendly and reassuring. The only real downside of her practice is that it is quite slow in the afternoons and often you have to wait in a stuffy room before you get to see her - but she is always cheerful and smiling, despite a long day. Obviously, I hope I won't be seeing her anytime soon, but that's definitely not because of Dr. Chin!
