They replaced our roof, siding, gutters, etc. after the last storm damage of October 2023. Elijah stayed on top of things every step of the way from the beginning to the end, but what impressed us the most was that he never bickered or argued with us to prove us wrong, like some other roofers did before, and never made anything a big deal. Instead, he never minded to take care of any nuance or anything in question, e.g. they paid for the whole house wash after their siding contractors brought dusty (new) siding and got their hands dirty and left some marks on siding and trim - no questions or objections from Elijah - boom,.. done! The same was with any little thing or question: he promptly came over, checked, and took care of that. He was always very friendly, and so was his staff/office. Great job, thanks! read more

Capital Construction are SCAM ARTISTS and will rip you off. The sales guys are charming and nice, but the subs they hire must be extremely underpaid because the quality of their work is extremely poor. Capital installed new siding, gutters, insulation and roofing in my home 7 years ago. Mid project, I noticed that they never cut holes for the attic air vents in eves of the roof. I had an inspector come out right away. He discovered that they used the cheapest kind of wood for the roof, NOT the type we purchased. The attic spaces were not vented properly as per our contract and it was also discovered that the "insulation" we paid for was simply a few bags of insulation haphazardly thrown around the crawl spaces. They had to rip everything off and start over. It's seven years later and I've now discovered mold on the underside of my roof and I'm confident that it's because of their lackadaisical approach to "restoration". I would NEVER recommend these guys to anyone. Go to the higher end companies FOR sure. You get what you pay for. Penny wise, pound foolish. read more

Our house had major damage due to a hail storm early April. We called Capital Construction & Restoration. Dennis was already in the area & came right over to inspect our house. Dennis, my wife & I discussed his findings. A claim was filled with our insurance company. Dennis met with the insurance adjuster & stayed with the adjuster the entire time. Dennis with the insurance adjuster explained what would be covered by the insurance policy. Dennis & Capital Construction & Restoration replaced our entire roof, gutters, downspouts. They had our house power washed & re-stained. They worked with the insurance company & replace a large picture window that was also damaged & could not be repaired. Capital construction did a fine job on our roof. Phil met with us and explained everything. The job was finished in 1 day, April 26, 2019. And the guys cleaned up on the outside. The last insurance check was given to Phil by the middle of May. However, when I moved the car to the garage I found a mess. A lot of debris was all over the garage floor. So I called Phil and someone came to clean the garage. But it was superficial and I called again. I asked Phil to clean the garage floor and also to check the attic, since the roof was replaced over the house as well. There was a lot of debris there as well. I called several times and Phil said the attic would be cleaned. It is now late August, 4 months later, ......and I am still waiting. It is now mid October ......and I am still waiting for the cleanup. And today is November 23. Although Phil said in several text messages that he would come Thursday or Friday of this week he did not come. He did not call or text to say that he would not come. He is unreliable, unbelievable. Do not pay until the job is finished. And it is now December 14. Although Phil confirmed an appointment for 2 weeks ago he did not come, did not call to cancel. ......I am still waiting Dennis Cho stopped by 2 weeks ago, January 6, 2020. He said he would finish the job in the attic. But he needed to get a small vacuum (so it would fit in the attic), even though Phil supposedly got one several months ago. . ......I am still waiting And today is February 5. I had hoped Dennis would be finished cleaning by now. But guess what! It is a month later. No one has called. No one has come to clean. In 2 months it will be a year since the roof was done. AND ......I AM STILL WAITING. Today is February 13.. it is almost 6 weeks since Dennis said he would finish cleaning the attic. But guess what. He still hasn't been back to do it. The Good After sending a message the response back was rather quick and the turn around for the phone call was great. After the conversation via phone I thought my expectations were clear, I sent a message saying I wanted a quote and repeated the same thing during the conversation prior to setting up an appointment. My appointment was set for Thursday, June 8th, 2017 between 5-5:30p. The Bad However at 5:04p I received a voicemail saying it was to confirm the appointment. I called back and left a voicemail and received a call right back from June. Again he stated he was calling to confirm the appointment right before appointment time. Before the end of the call I noticed not once did he state he would be late for the appointment so I asked for his e.t.a. and I was told between 40-50 minutes because traffic had come to a halt. So in actuality this call shouldn't have been to confirm it should've been to inform me of a late arrival. I thought this was extremely disrespectful of my time and schedule. The Ugly During the call I asked June if I would be getting a quote. He said well no I was going to come over to view the insurance information and go from there. Excuse me! I was very specific about what I expected during this appointment. So not only did I find this to be disrespectful of my time but also it was clear although I'd sent a message saying what I wanted and repeated the same thing during the call (I wanted a quote for the work I needed completed) June was going to come out to my home and do what it was he wanted to do. After finding this out I told June if he was unable to give me a quote we should cancel this appointment and possibly reschedule for a date when he could. I have to hire another contractor to come in and fix the work Capital Construction did at my home. I spent $15,000 on a new roof that they guaranteed their work would fix my leaks. I just had my gutters replaced yesterday. I could not be more happy with the quality of work and level of professionalism. Most importantly, I felt like I wasn't being taken advantage of because of the way that Dennis quoted me the price. Dennis was the ONLY bid out of 4 that suggested I could keep my existing downspouts (they were actually swapped out for bigger ones last year) in order to keep the price down. He was also the only one of four not trying to hard sell me on gutter guards. He said if I wanted them we could always talk about them later. They attempted to fix it but kept having the issues and the patch work job was not done correctly. It was the worst experience we have had. Dennis Cho (the owner of Capital Construction) worked with us to find the best replacement and design for the fence. He kept in communication with us to verify that we were comfortable with the design and building material. He even worked with the Insurance Adjuster to ensure that all costs were covered even things the insurance adjuster did not see that were damaged by the storm. Dennis's crew was meticulous and ensured solid posts while ensuring there were no uneven parts along the bottom and top of the fence. There is nothing worse than an uneven fence! Dennis ensured that the clean-up was perfect, my mother's yard looks bigger than before because the fence looks so solid and even all the way around. This company replaced my roof in the fall of last year. They did an excellent job! But recently I had water come through my ceiling under my attic and called them to come take a look. Dennis came with 2 workers very quickly. They went over and above to resolve my issue which had nothing to do with the new roof. In Summer 2016 I requested Capital to come out to give me a free estimate to reshingle my roof and also had a couple questions about a few problem areas. I called on a Monday and a Capital rep came out on a Wednesday to review my roof and all the questions I had. My insurance company rejected my roof replacement claim for hail damage stating there is minimal damage and wrote me a check for 98.00 after my 1000.00 deduction. Gloria the office manager from Capital Construction said this is not right the way this insurance company is treating us. Gloria became my advocate and fought my insurance company and got them to paid for a new roof. Gloria pursued the claim adjuster and did not let them bully us. Gloria is very aggressive in negotiating with the insurance company. This went on for over 3 months until the insurance company agree to paid for a new roof. Unbelievable to this day what Gloria did for us. So, I highly recommend you talk to Gloria from Capital Construction if your insurance company rejected or low-ball your claim for damages to your home. Note I said Gloria is the office manager not a Public Adjuster. Gloria would make an awesome Public Adjusters negotiating insurance clients claims with insurance company. read more

After the April 2020 hail storm, they did a lot of work in our neighborhood and worked with our insurance company to replace our roof, gutters, downspouts, and siding. This was a massive job, which had to be coordinated and done in stages with the different suppliers and workmen. Everything was done when promised and we couldn't be happier. Phil, in particular, went WAY above and beyond; he was always immediately responsive and the communication was excellent. He really treated our project as if he were working on his own home - everything, from initial contact to follow-up coordination to finished project, was done professionally and thoroughly. Lots of contractors promise you the moon, but fail to deliver; Phil was just the opposite - not only was he always true to his word, he also went the extra mile for us.
